Sakuras POV

"Omg...I so need to do my nails again." Ino said while shoving her hands in all of our faces. Our whole little squad was hanging out under a tree before school starts.

"Omg I soooo need to do my nails again, And while Im at it, Maybe I should get my nose done, And these things." Tenten mocked Ino in a high pitched voice. She grabbed her own boobs. We all laughed. Tenten never understood how crucial it was to get your nails done.

"Especially YOU Sakura." Tenten laughed and slapped her knee. Then everyone started cracking up. Even Temari, Who usually thought everything Tenten did was dumb, was laughing her ass off.

"Guys....Please..not here." I covered my red face. Everyone was starring at my friends laughing obnoxiously loud.

"Im kidding Sakura...Well....Uh..Hehe." Tenten rubbed the back of her neck.

"Hello ladies!" Lee shouted. We all turned and saw Lee with all the guys, but the first guy I saw was...

Sasuke

I meant to talk to him on Monday and Friday, but he was avioding me by hanging out with that knucklehead.

'Sasuke' I said in my head again, but this to me more aggressive.

What happened on Thursday was very...how should  I say it...If there was a word for you owe me a better explanation then your crappy explanation. Well Id be using that word so much, Id be arrested for abuse.

We all waved. I made eye contact with Sasuke and he immediately looked away and fast walked to the front of the group.

"Call me Sakura! Please!" Lee shouted. I nodded my head, but I wasnt going to respond to his 30 texts all saying the same thing...

'Hi'

*RIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG*

"Time for class." Hinata moped. I let out a groan and we all walked together to our class.

When I entered the classroom, Sasuke was covering his face with his hands, hoping that I wouldnt see him. Nice try. Ive done that before. Long story short.

That trick doesnt work. Especially since I sat next to him.

I walked up each chaotic row until I reached the last. I took a seat in the middle of Sasuke and Karin. Karin was busy talking to Jugo though.

"Well...you've got alot of explaining to do..." I crossed my arms around my chest. He sighed.

"Im sorry...I just dont wanna hang out with you because...Im a bad guy. Just stay away from me. I promise that'll keep you safe."

"No Sasuke, Even if you think thats whats best its not. Lets talk to Pein...Ok?" I put a hand behind his back to comfort him. He put his face in his hands and let me do what I did best. My hand rubbed his back in little circles. If I learned anything from comforting people, Its rubbing their back that makes them feel okay. As long as your a qualified expert. Im just an amateur, but one day, Ill be an expert.

"Ok..." Sasuke broke the silence. "Lets talk to him after school."

I nodded my head. For the rest of the day we were both kept on our toes.

We needed to talk to Pein.

Sasukes POV

"And that class, Is how you make a beautiful...delicious...peanut butter and jelly sandwich." Yamato said while putting a regular PB&J in his mouth.

"MMMMMM...MMMMMM...Thats a good sandwich." He smiled. "Tomorrow, you guys will try doing exactly what I did. Class dismissed. Have a wonderful day." Everyone grabbed their backpacks. I grabbed mine and hoped that I could escape before Sakura catches me.

"Where do you think you're going?" An arm grabbed my jacket. I slowly turned around and hoped that voice that sounded like Sakura, wasnt Sakura.

Sadly it was Sakura. Why gods why?

"Um...I was...Gonna...uh" I stalled. She shook her head.

"Come on, Before pein leaves." She started running in front of me. I couldnt help but follow. When we reached the front door, we found Pein and konan sitting on a bench just chilling.

We both ran over to them. When we got there we awkwardly stood in front of them.

"Can I help you?" Pein asked. Konan scooted closer to pein.

"Uh yes...About the Akatsuki-" I started. Pein gave me a look.

"Shut up...not too loud...Now continue Sasuke, and whats pinky doing here?" He pointed at Sakura.

I sighed. "Listen, Is there any way Itachi can get off my back? He thinks Sakura is involed with what im doing and I dont want her in danger." I explained. Pein rubbed his pierced chin. Konan shrugged.

"Pein and I may be the leaders, but everyone in the Akatsuki as their own agenda. If they want to do it, we cant stop them." Konan sighed. "Sorry."

"But hey, Sasuke since I owe you for that one time, Ill talk to your brother. I cant guarantee that it'll work. Ill make sure to mention pinky too." Pein stood up and so did Konan.

"Hey boss! When is our ride gonna be here?" Hidan yelled. We all turned and saw 2 guys. Hidan, and Deidara. Hidan was just plain annoying and always went on about his religion. Deidara always talked about art and I think hes gay. Not that there is anything bad about that.

"Itll be here right now...Or Ill be just as mad as you are, Hidan." Pein said. As soon as he said that, a limo pulled up and honked its horn.

"Finally." Deidara huffed.

The car window rolled down, a man with 2 halves of his faces black and white popped up. Sakura took a step closer to me. I mean, If I was her, I would be equally scared of a guy who has a full face tattoo. Thats just brutal.

"Will these two be riding with you?" The man asked.

"No, Unless they want one." Konan turned to both of us. I shrugged.

"You wanna free ride home?" I asked as I turned to Sakura, She looked back at me and smiled.

"My feet are pretty tired. We'd love too."

I opened the car door for everyone. As we all sat down Hidan opened his big mouth.

"So, You guys smashed?" He asked. We both blushed.

"No we just needed to see Pein about something." Sakura covered up. I nodded my head.

"What a disappointment." Konan giggled. I sighed. Whats the deal with woman and these so called 'ships'. Its like they make up imaginary dates of other people in their heads.

"So boss...About the-" Deidara started. Pein stomped his foot on deidaras, causing him to yelp.

"Not when we have guests." Pein grumbled.

"About what?" Sakura had to open her big mouth.

"Nothing you should be concerned about pinky." Hidan snapped.

"Hey back off." I harshly countered. From now on, the only person allowed to call her pinky is me.

"Shut up, By the name of Jashin, tell your girlfriend to stop butting in." Hidan chided. I was tempted to punch him in the face but the person blocking me from doing so was Sakura. She was a seat divider for me and hidan.

"Dirtbag.." I mumbled.

"Hey Isnt this your house Sakura?" Pein interuped.

"H-h-how did you know? I never told you guys my address..." Sakura quivered. I put my hand on her leg to stop her for shaking.

"Oh sweetheart, We know everything about everyone. Thats what makes us so dangerous." Konan laughed. Then everyone else started laughing expect me and Sakura.

"See you tomorrow Sakura." I smirked at her. She nodded and climbed over me and opened the door.

"Thanks for the ride." She mumbled.

"No problem." Konan said.

Hidan moved over to her old seat and now he was basically hovering over me. I closed the door and we moved on.

"I wanna mention something else..." I said. "I dont want Itachi anywhere near Sakura, I dont want anyone DANGEROUS from anywhere to hurt Sakura. Can I make myself any clear?" They all looked at me, then turned to Pein.

"Tell you what, I like you Sasuke, You're strong. Just what the Akatsuki need-"

"No, Im not joining." I cut him off. I always believed it was because of the akatsuki, that my whole family was dead. Back then, a diffrent leader was leading the Akatsuki. I don't think Pein is as brutal as their old leader, but I still wong take any chances.

"Now now, Let me finish. I want you working for me. Not joining, Just a little work I have to the side. You promise me to do this work. Ill make sure Sakura will be protected no matter what. You fail me...And well....You dont want to know whatll happen. Of course if you dont want to do this, its fine. Just a suggestion of course..." He faded off. I owed Sakura a lot for what I did. Getting involved with the Akatsuki will be a pain, But if its for Sakuras protection...Ill do it. For her.

"Okay...You have a deal. But Im only doing your side work. Thats all." I put out my hand so we could shake on it.

"Then I guess we have a deal.... We'll give you details when were ready." Pein shook my hand. He had quite a grip.

The limo came to a full stop.

"Sasukes residents..." The driver said.

"Thanks Zetsu." Pein shouted. "Now, I think you should get going. Have a goodnight Sasuke..." Pein opened the door for me. I climbed out and watched the Limo leave. I havent been to my house for a couple days. I knew the police and my brother were going to be inspecting this place for a few days, and now that time is up. I can finally rest.

When it was time for me to go to sleep, well I did the opposite, I couldn't sleep. I kept telling myself that helping the akatsuki is a suicide mission...

But if itll keep Sakura safe. Who cares about my life? Only hers mattered right now.
