"Hoseok! Table twenty three needs help ASAP!" The manager of the restaurant yelled, Hoseok rushed to his service with the nod of his head and a quick "sorry!"
He walked as fast as he could to the table, trying not to knock anything over as he did so. He stood at the front of their table and immediately put on a happy face.
"How may I help you?" He asked, his smile bright and wide, it hardly seemed fake at all.
"This isn't what I ordered, I ordered the Tofu soup, not this." The man said with an angry look, he seemed really upset with his food.
"Ah... I am so sorry, I'll be right back with your soup!" He apologised and grabbed the spicy beef soup from the man.
As he began walking away, he heard him whisper to another person: "kids these days are so disobedient and immature, they need to get them away from work!"
Hoseok felt his heart ache a little. That's what people think of me?
"Have you spoken to them yet or not? You brat." The manager asked him suddenly, it made Hoseok jump, he almost dropped the soup he was holding.
"Yes sir, I'm making them their food now..." he bowed to apologise, sweat dripping down his face in the heated atmosphere. "This is your last chance, if you mess up again you're out." He threatened Hoseok who was feeling like he was going to break down into a puddle and cry.
"Okay... sorry..." he murmured, retrieving into the kitchen and throwing the soup in the bin, then beginning to make the man's replacement food.
After Hoseok had finally finished the soup with the help of his coworker, he headed back out and served the man his soup.
"I'm sorry again, sir, here's your soup." He said. This time his smile was a little faded.
"Whatever." The man scoffed. Hoseok just walked away after that, "Hoseok, there's a man waiting for a seat, help him out!"
Hoseok felt overwhelmed by all of these commands, he felt so light headed.
He headed to the front door where the supposed man was waiting.
"Hello, how may I help you tonight?" Hoseok didn't even look at him, he was too busy.
"Just a table for one, I have no bookings though, sorry."
Hoseok suddenly looked up, the man's voice sounded calming and soft. He liked it.
The man had dark brown hair and hazel eyes, his face was displaying a happy smile which looked oddly like a little rabbits. He wore a white t-shirt and yellow coat and blue jeans.
He looked young, too. His face had no sign of age and his hair was still healthy. His eyes sparkled from the reflection of the hanging lights on the ceiling. He was really pretty...
"Um sorry, did you not catch that? Should I say it again?" The man asked him with a confused face.
"I- um, no sorry! Sorry I heard you!" Hoseok panicked. "Follow me, there's a table free over here." Hoseok added.
He felt flustered and embarrassed, it must have looked so obvious that he was looking at him like that. Oh god, what's wrong with me?!
"Here you go sir! Take your time to order and we'll be right over when you're ready!" Hoseok felt his smile becoming a little more genuine now.
"Okay, thank you!" The man replied, flashing his pearly whites.
Hoseok's shift was over in ten minutes, however there was something inside of him that made him want to see that man more. He wanted to talk to him again.
After a few minutes, Hoseok mustered up the courage to go up to him again and ask for his order.
"Hello, are you ready to order yet?" Hoseok smiled.
"Ah, yes! For a drink I would like water please." He said cutely. "Is there anything else?" Hoseok held his pen and pad in hand.
"Well, it all seems nice so I'll just have whatever's easier for you!"
Hoseok stopped writing. Did he really just say that? No way did he just say that.
Hoseok's heart fluttered. He had never heard anyone say that before... this man not only looks beautiful, but acts kindly too. What are the chances of meeting a guy like that?
"Are you sure? You don't prefer anything?" Hoseok had to ask again just to be sure.
"No, I'm sure. Just make whatever you enjoy making the most." He said.
Hoseok felt his cheeks warm up and his smile grow bigger.
He giggled. "Okay, coming right up!"
Hoseok strolled away with a little bit of a hop in his step, he felt a little more relieved and happy now...
As Hoseok was making the man's food, he wondered whether he would see him again, he wanted to see him again, and he wanted to know his name too...
Hoseok decided to make pork soup, he doesn't know why, he just felt like it.
His mind wandered as he dished up the food, he wanted to know how old he was, his name, if he would ever see him again. He began to think he was crazy as he had only met him a few minutes ago.
His water had been served by someone else which upset him a little, he watched his coworker hand him his water and was shocked to see that he didn't smile so brightly for her. Hoseok was beyond confused.
He had finally finished the soup and decided he was going to make it look extra pretty, he seasoned it perfectly and displayed the greens neatly on the top. He placed the bowl on a serving plate with all of the cutlery necessary.
Hoseok took a deep breath and walked out of the kitchen carefully.
As he approached the man, he caught his gaze and was again very confused to see his face light up with a bright smile. Why is he smiling for me, and not the others? He wondered.
Hoseok smiled back and placed the food on his table carefully.
"As you told me to make whatever was easiest, I made Pork soup. It's not the easiest, I just thought you may like it. I'm sorry if you didn't want this." Hoseok said to him.
He was surprised to see the man's eyes grow a little wider and a little more glittery.
"Wow, how did you know this was my favourite food? Thank you! I will really enjoy this." The man giggled.
"Ah! Wow, what a guess!" Hoseok laughed and rubbed the back of his head, blushing lightly.
"Well, I hope you enjoy your food."
Hoseok then started to walk away, his heart beating at a faster pace than usual.
"Oh! By the way-" the man asked, Hoseok turned around to face him.
"My name is Jungkook."
