"Hello my beautiful cousin" Emmett comes waltzing into my room and falls on my bed, I look up from the book I'm reading to just stare at him "what?"

"Why are you here?" Looking back to my book

"Can't I just visit my cousin?" He takes the book from my "you've been cooped up in here for days, we honestly thought you were dead" I have my arms crossed giving a bored expression "we're worried about you" I scoff stop that "what's that supposed to mean?"

"It means the only people in this coven that care for my well-being is Rose" getting up I go and leave "I'm going to feed" I run out of the house.

I'm Serafina Mikaelson-McCarthy, cousin to Emmett McCarthy Cullen. I was born in 1922 and turned by my cousin in 1940, unknown to us I was already destined to become a vampire. Just not a cold one, a traditional vampire. Let me explain from the beginning. My mom is a powerful Spell Traveler witch, that means she can go between universes and dimensions with ease while regular witches have to channel something or be very powerful to go through worlds.

My dad is Kol Mikaelson, on another universe he's the one of the most powerful and craziest vampires to exist because barely anything can kill him. Well my mom and dad met, had a one night stand that led to me. My mom never told my dad because apparently I have this crazy uncle who likes to dagger my dad and other uncles and one aunt because my grandfather is hellbent on murdering said uncle. It's really crazy, but yeah.

Now I'm supposed to have been a hybrid, but now adding the cold one vampire I'm a tribrid. Carlisle Cullen knowing this wanted to run some tests on me, treat me as a lab rat but Emmett put his foot down making it clear that wasn't going to happen.

See unlike them I can still function like a normal human, I just need blood preferably human blood. I need a daylight ring which my mom made for me, I never told the others because since I'm part witch they'll demand I make them daylight jewelry to allow them to walk in the sunlight without fear of sparkling. Another difference, I burn in the sun. Yeah I'm more traditional vampire, but as a cold one I got some powers besides my spell-traveling and witch abilities. I'm a shield and I can make illusions. Finally the last thing that defines me from them is the fact that I don't have venom in my veins, but my blood can heal so when I bite a human I can just compel them to forget about the events that took place.

I hate being in the Olympic Coven, the only reason why I'm there is because of my cousin and his mate. Now if your wondering why my cousin isn't a witch or warlock it's because our parents are half siblings. But yeah, I refuse to be here. I despise it with every fiber of my being, they judge every action I do because a) I drink human blood, b) I function like a human, and c) because one of the other coven members blamed me for their blood singer dying because he killed her. I only stay for Emmett and Rose. But after this year I'm leaving, I don't want to be here and they know it.

Emmett Cullens POV

I watch as my cousin runs off to feed, I sigh with sadness. Fee doesn't want to be here, the only reason she stays is for me and my mate Rose. I walk out and go to where everyone is at.

"What happened?" Rose comes over to my side "where's Fee?"

"She went to hunt" I can see them all but Rose get judge mental "don't do that" I order, they look confused "just because my cousin can drink human blood and not kill someone doesn't mean you guys can judge"

"We're sorry Emmett" Esme apologizes but Rose cuts her off.

"No" my mate looks at everyone with anger "because of Edward lying" glaring at said member who looks down in shame "Fee was kicked out, banished and I knew she didn't do it because she was with me and Emmett at the time of his blood singers death" pointing to Edward "but when the truth comes to light, you all gave him a slap on the wrist" looking around "we need to tell her the truth" we all look at my mate then.

"We can't" Alice protests "the Volturi"

"How is it fair?" Rose cuts Alice off "we get to live our lives with our mates when my mates cousin, my sister practically since she is more of a sister than you Alice" glaring at the girl "can't even find hers. And no one dare say anything about Edward and his mate because he doesn't even bother trying"

"The Volturi" Carlisle speaks up "will keep her for her power, I mean she can act more human than anyone here"

"Make my words" my mate growls "when Serafina finds out the truth, what we've been keeping from her she will retaliate" looking around "her anger has been building ever since coming back and being forced to stay in this 'family' as you like to call it, but she will unleash all of that anger when she finds out" my mate soon leaves the room, everyone silent.
