The girl looked at Avu who was already staring at her and she quickly said

Girl- I mean he is our dad

Sid was shocked after the mention of Our and his head snapped towards Avu who was still looking at the girl.

Sid- Is what she just said is true ?

He asked out of shock and Avu looked at him and taking a glance over that man who was laying on the bed, she hummed batting her lashes.

Avu- he is my papa

She said in a low voice and sat on the stool beside Amandeep, holding on his hand she smiled softly.

Avu- and she is my sister

She said glancing at the girl and the girl smiled widely.

Ashi- hey I am Ashi Nandra

She introduced herself forwarding her hand to Sid and Sid just got to know that she is her sister-in-law so he accepted it even when he was least interested.

Sid- how you got to know about your dad ? I mean

He asked turning towards Avu, he was confused and was surrounded by so many questions, but also the guilt was still the same.

Avu- I got to know about him today that he is in this hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Singh have told me that my father lives in the same city with his daughter and today again I got a call from the same number and...

Ashi- and I was the one who was calling her, earlier due to lacking guts or any other reasons I always used to end the call but today... (sighed heavily) today it was important

Her voice was cracking but she was trying her best to represent like everything is normal, which really wasn't.

Ashi- his health has deteriorated and doctor have losed every hope

Tears brimmed inside her eyes while Avu's orbs also get filled with the same liquid.

He said in a guilty tone and Avu shooked her head in No.

Aman- I've taken a lot of rest, now let me talk to my princess, afterall we are meeting after years.

Ashi blinked her lashes and stood on the the parallel side to Avu.

Aman- by the way who is this boy princess ?

He asked looking at Sid and Avu smiled nervously, thinking wheather to tell them the truth or not, or wheather he is ready to reveal it there or not.

should I tell them ?

Sid noticed her stammering and her nervousness.

Sid pov
Does she not want anyone to know about me ?

Avu- he.. he is my clas. ....

But before she could finish, Sid interrupted in between.

Sid- I am her husband

He said and no sign of nervousness or any other insecure feeling dripped from his tone.

Avu looked at him in surprise as she wasn't expecting it. Ashi and Aman's eyes widened with shock and both started staring at SidNeet.

Aman- he is your husband.

He said still shocked, not able to digest it.

Ashi- you are freaking married.

She literally screamed out of amusement and Sid rolled his eyes and Avu wasn't getting how to reply.

Aman- Ashi

He said in a strict tone which was hardly sounding like that because of his health issues, but Ashi understood and quickly mouthed a 'sorry'.

Ama- is he really your husband ? Aren't you too young now ? Did they forced you ? Are you hap..

Avu- shh shh Papa... calm down

She said softly rubbing his arms in order to make him calm.

Sid pov
What if he don't accept me ? Why this thought is giving me different weird vibes ?

He suddenly felt himself restless, for the first time he felt this insecurity.

Avu- don't worry Papa, I am happy and no one forced me

She said in an assuring tone and the same insecure feeling was surrounding her.

Avu pov
What if Papa don't accept him ?

Aman- If you are happy then I am not going to ask anything else and I don't think I even have the right to

Avu- don't say like this Papa.

Suddenly a nurse entered inside and asked everyone to go outside.

Ashi and Avu was standing beside each other but were too hesitant to start any conversation.

Ashi- um wo

She tried to talk but Sid came and interrupted in between.

Sid- Nakchadi can we talk ?

He asked but instead of looking at Avu he looked at Ashi with a sharp look.

Ashi- wohh man! Calm down and no need to give me that look

Avu looked at Sid and Ashi being clueless.

Ashi- and I am sorry for before jiju (brother-in-law)

She said emphasising jiju trying to assure him.

Avu- do you guys know each other from before ?

She said confusingly making assumptions.

Sid- No we don't (curtly) now can we talk ?

He asked with a low voice and Avu fiddled her fingers and was hesitating and Sid's heartbeat increased not wanting a No as he have asked her after collecting so many guts inside him.

He never felt so nervous in just asking for talking with anyone and specially with a girl. While Ashi felt something wrong in their behaviour but decided not to interrupt.

Pressing her lower lips against the teeth, Avu nodded in agreement. And Sid gestured her to come along and she followed him up, none of them were daring to look at each other.

Ashi stared at their figures for few seconds and then sat on the metal bench, pressing her elbows over her thighs and rested her chin on her mid knuckles.

SidNeet stopped at a lonely corner and after hesitating a little Sid finally decided to speak.

Sid- Nakchadhi look I.. I am ss.. sorry for whatever happened today

He said not daring to look into her eyes while her eyes snapped towards him as she literally didn't expect any apology from his side.

Sid- all that was a.. just a hh.. heat of mo..mment

His words trembled as the main question surrounding was that was that really just a heat of moment ?

Avu- it's okay. Can't we just forget it like it never happened ?

Her heart ached saying this simple sentence, her lips automatically trembled and she felt a huge weight inside her.

Apart of all this she still said all this, she forced her lips but her eyes denied to accompany her.

Sid felt a pang inside his heart.

Sid- so did you forgive me ?

Avu hummed with a small but forced smile and Sid too smile weakly though he felt relieved that atleast there wouldn't be any further awkwardness between them.

There was a complete silence after this small conversation between them which Sid finally decided to break.

Sid- you okay, I mean your dad

Avu sighed heavily and said

Avu- I don't know. One side I am happy but other side I am surrounded with so many questions

Sid- why don't you talk to that girl ?

He suggested and his tone became rough mentioning about her.

Avu- her name is Ashi, if you forgot.

She replied narrowing her eyes.

Sid- huhh whatever.

He rolled his eyes recieving a look from her.

Sid- What ? Now stop staring at my handsome face and let's go.

He huffed and she shot a glare at him.

Avu- can't you drop your self obbsesion for some time ?

Sid- huhh! (rolling his eyes) I am going. You can come if you want.

And with that he started walking and Avu kicked and punched him mentally.

Sid- ahhh! Stop killing me in your imagination Nakchadi.

Her head snapped towards him in marvel, whose back was now facing her.

Avu- how do you know ?

Sid- I know how eager you are to kick and punch me ?

He said sarcastically.

Avu- ohh then should I book a room you here ?

She asked sweetly still dangerously.

Sid- stop acting like a wild cat over here.

He said and again started walking and she followed from behind.

They reached back to the patient's room and found Ashi sitting on the bench with an expression less face, lost in her own world and she was continuously staring at the door.

Avu- unmm hey

She called Ashi keeping her hand over her shoulder and shaked it a little. Ashi came out from her thoughts and tilted her head up and found Avu standing there and Sid beside him.

She forced her lips to curve into a small smile while SidNeet noticed tears in her eyes.

Avu- are you crying ?

She asked with concern and took a seat beside Ashi and she shooked her head. She turned her face to the other side and quickly wiped her tears and then turned back to them.

Ashi- no..

Avu- it's okay if you don't want to tell.

Ashi- No.. No.. it isn't like that.

She replied quickly.

Ashi- it's just like.. I want to talk to you.

Avu nodded and squeezed Ashi's fists passing her a small smile.

While Sid looked and here there to find a seat for himself from where he can listen to them. Then his eyes fell on the little space beside Avu and narrowing his eyes he sat over there pushing Avu a little, making her startle.

She turned her head towards him and gasped finding their faces so close as he was leaning towards her to listen Avu and Ashi's conversation.

She gasped pulling herself little away from him, while Sid also did the same, not wanting any other akward thing.

Avu- bandar ke bacche what's it ?
(monkey's kid what's it ?)

She asked furiously and Sid wiggled his eyebrows.

Sid- I am just sitting over here, can't you see Nakchadhi

Ashi's eyes widened in amusement as she thought that they are some lovey dovey sweet couple.

Avu- can't you see that here isn't any space for you ?

Sid- so you can move aside and give me little space to adjust myself

He replied mocking her tone and she scrunched her nose in irritation.

Avu- and why should I ?

She asked raising her eyebrows and he rolled his eyes again before replying

Sid- because I've to sit.

Avu- then it doesn't matter to me. You can sit somewhere else

Sid- Now I'll sit here only.

Avu- and why so ?

Sid- because you don't wants to.

Ashi's jaw dropped in disbelief.

Avu- move aside before I ki..

Ashi- hey.. hey stop. Stop fighting like kids, we are in hospital guys

Just then the realisation striked SidNeet and both chuckled sheepishly and lastly glared at each other and Ashi shooked her head in disbelief.

Ashi- wait I am moving aside, then she will move aside and then jiju (brother-in-law) you can sit

Sid- learn something from her Nakchadhi, how sweet she is and how wild cat you are

Avu gave him a look on this and Ashi's face palmed. And before they could again start she moved little aside and pulled Avu too. Sid settled himself comfortably and gave a victory smirk to Avu on which she smiled sarcastically.

Ashi- so can I start ?

SidNeet- yes

They said together and glared at each other.

Ashi- fingers on your lips

Both nodded their heads and quickly kept their fingers on their lips like and obedient child.

Ashi- so should I ?

She asked and both batted their eyelashes in approval and she sighed and her expressions changed

Ashi- I know that I am not your real sister and maybe you hate me. But trust me I never knew about all this until my fifteenth birthday. For my mom only her money and power matters rather than anything whether it's her family, husband or her own daughter

She felt her throat getting heavier remembering all the time she craved for her mother's love, everytime she slept while crying digging her face in the pillow.

Avu and Sid was also remembering how they also used to cry and crave for their parents love.

Sid pov
I still remember how me and dada used to cry whenever we missed papa and dada always took care of me like a father

Avu pov
Whenever I use to think of mumma I get tears in my eyes. I always misssd papa and my last hope Mr. Singh, he broke my all hopes, trampled it like flowers

Ashi- I know you also have reason to hate me as I got dad's love and you didn't, but please never hate dad.

Avu looked at her with teary eyes while tears have already started flowing down from Ashi's eyes.

Ashi- he was the only family for me even when Mom was and even when Mom isn't. Don't ever think that he left you and Sonia Maa because he don't love you guys. It was my mom Ayesha Singh, when she got to know about Dad's and Sonia Maa's hidden relationship she blackmailed him that she will kill you guys.

She thought to look at Avu's expression but she wasn't having the courage for.

Ashi- Dad unwillingly had to leave you guys, he told me all this after I turned fifteen. We somehow got your contact, after Mom and Dad's divorce Dad took my custody while Mom was happy as she don't want any third wheel between her and her so called fiance.

Avu's tears have also drenched her face completely like Ashi while Sid was listening all this with blank expressions.

Sid pov
How can a mother be so heartless ? No money and power can matter more than family or friends.

Ashi- Dad loves you guys a lot and the news of Sonia Maa's death shattered the prices of his heart more which was already broken due to the guilt and pain

Avu- I don't hate him

It came out like inaudible voicd but Sid and Ashi heard it.

Avu- I never did, even when I tried I couldn't
