Fontaines POV
We had been hanging out everyday. Me and Finn. Sometimes we saw that weirdo Alpheus when we were diving. When he saw us he would swim off. He really is strange. The hotels Christmas Gala was coming up. Mom and and Dad demanded that Ant and I attend. They said "Fontaine there will be a kids area for you and Ant". I opened my mouth to protest but in the end decided not to. I wonder if Finns going. Silently I crept up the staircase to my room and slipped inside the wardrobe. I made my way down the dimly light passage way. Torches flickered on the cold, damp brick walls. Eventually I reached the staircase. Running down the stairs I bumped into Finn. "Woah woah" I stuttered losing my balance. Finn grabbed hand and pulled me up. He didnt let go until he was sure Id steadied myself. "Thanks" I smiled looking into his sky blue eyes. Tucking a strand of my long brown hair behind my ear. "No problem" Finn replied flashing his cheesiest grin. "So is there a reason your running into me on a flight of stairs?" He asked smirking. Blushing I answered his question "Yeah there is". "Well Im waiting" He said arms folded. "Are you going going to the Christmas Gala thing?" I asked him nervously. "Maybe" he answered. "Thats a bit vauge dont you think?" "Well yeah. Come one lets do something" "Fine". As we left the hotel that day I didnt know what to expect. Christmas was in one week. "Holy flaming macoroni!" I shouted. "Whats wrong" a concerned Finn asked. "Christmas is in one week!" "Oh yeah" "Can we please go Christmas shopping" I asked him hopefully. "Of course Princess" "Don't call me that Smiling Finn!" He grabbed my hand and led me out to the bus stop. We ran and got on the bus. He led me to a seat and we sat down. I laid my head on his shoulder. Smiling he put his arm around me and laid his head on mine.
A few hours later
We'd finished our shopping and were sitting in a cafe for lunch.
"So what'd you get me?"
"Not saying smiling Finn"
"Awwhh come on!"
"Nope." Suddenly my mouth fell open and hit the table.
"Umm Fon what's wrong?"
"It's Alpheus" Finn turned his head to meet my gaze. Alpheus stood at the counter ordering something. He must of spotted us as he came over.
"Hello Fontaine and umm Frank"
"It's Finn" Finn replied through gritted teeth.
"Yeah well don't care. See you in Lemuria Fontaine"
As he said the last part a wave of shock washed over me. Finn must of seen the look on my face as he began to ask questions. So I explained how my family has always been searching for Lemuria.
"Its like the family business" I said.
"I wish I could get out of my family business" he muttered so I couldn't quite hear. We then left and went back to the hotel

Christmas Eve (Gala Day)

It was the day of the gala. Christmas was only a matter of hours away. I figured that I should give Finn his present so picked it up from under my bed and stepped into the closet. Once again walking down the damp passage way. Filled with an orange eerie glow.
"Hey I have something for you" Finn called as I reached the staircase. I made my way down.
"His strange I to have something for you"
We exchanged gifts and agreed not to open them until tomorrow. We hugged goodbye then left to get ready for tonight. It was 4pm. The Gala started in 2 hours! I ran around my room gathering everything I needed to get ready. It took my a whole 1 hour and 39 minutes to get ready. My hair was straightened to the point where you wouldn't know a wave ever existed in it. I wore a white and blue dress. With white low low heels. Since I was ready I took out my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. As I came across the Ron and Hermione kissing part I grabbed a pen and scribbled all over it. I am a Dramione shipper through and through. It's a hobby of mine to read Dramione fanfics. I especially like For Her by SmartPanda2408 it's an amazing read! I absolutely love it. Soon enough it was time to head down to the Gala. Mom and Dad went off to get some wine. Ha great they'll be hung over on Christmas. Ant went to the kid area. Finns sister was there. I sat down at a table and sulked. Within in minutes of me sitting down. A boy in a suit came up to me.
"Hey Fontaine"
"Finn! I almost didn't recognise you!"
"Well I wouldn't expect you to I don't look like me"
"Yeah you really don't" He reaches out his hand. My hand found it's way into his. We began to dance to the music. We danced for hours on end when suddenly there was a crash.
