What is the female wolf called?

Kipling uses "Lahini" in the gungle book. "Asena" in Turkish. You can use other terms in other languages to refer to the female wolf. In English, a female wolf us called the she-wolf.

The Luna is the female leader. There can be thousand of she-wolves in a pack but only one Luna.

The old English word for man was were. And the feminine version, wif. Therefore, a female wolf would be called wifwolf in old English. You can however, use any term that most relates with the book you are writing.
