Two years have passed.
Our heroines are all now 18. Designated weddings soon to come.

They all have been dealing with much grander issues though. Their whole lives were about to change.

Leaf

A month. Just one more. I would have to marry silver in a month. I could escape the choice though. Run to the summoners academy and not have to think of marrying someone I don't love, or face it and break Garry's heart.

He said he'd find a way but as each day dragged on I knew they had become pretty words but not truths.

"Leaf your starring off again" Garry said pulling me from my thoughts.

I shook it off sitting up from the tree. This tree represents us in a way more and more often.

"The marriage right?" He said and I nodded. Still I have not said a word about the summoners academy.

"I told you I'd find a way to make sure you wouldn't have to be married to that scumbag" I grew numb to that phrase.

There was absolutely no way.

"Let's head back" I got back up and sat on my now evolved rapidash.

Garry sighed and got on as well and rode us off slowly.

"Your not the same" he said. He was right. This past year all I could think about was the marriage. It haunted my mind.

"I'm sorry" I whispered looking down.

He didn't have much to say.

"Leaf you must be so excited your wedding is so soon oh look at you in this gown!" My mother exclaimed her eyes sparkling.

Looking at myself through the oval mirror all I wanted to do was break it.

"Leaf my dear I never imagined I would be able to see you get married but now I get that chance I'm so so happy" she said tearing up.

It just killed me more.

"Mother don't cry" I said whipping a tear from her eye.

"Oh sweetie you just look so stunning in that dress you glow" she continued on.

I faked a smile before the maids helped me out of the dress and back into my everyday gown.

Later I walked through the castle halls at a lost. What was I to do now? My mother was so happy. But I wasn't.

Suddenly I saw Garry turning the corner into the hall I was in. He was looking down at some papers though and I quickly ran the oposite direction. I needed my time to think.

"Leaf" he called out and I mentally punched myself.

I pretended to not hear him and continue to walk off. He called my name louder this time though. I bit my lip and turned around looking at the floor.

"Leaf why are you avoiding me?" He asked I could just hear the hurt in his voice.

"Darling Im not really" I said putting a hand on his shoulder still not meeting his gaze.

He put his index finger under my chin lifting it up forcing me to look at him in the eyes.

"Leaf your a bad liar" he proceded to lean in for a kiss but I moved my head again.

"Please not right now" I whispered. Garry then pushed me against the wall next to us.

"Darling please tell me what's wrong?" I bit my lip looking down the hall.

"Leaf have you grown tired of me is that it? Why have you been so distant lately do you not love me anymore?" Those words pained me and all I could was weep.

"No of course not Garry I love you with all my heart" I said looking at him.

"Then what is it then?"

"I don't know!" I yelled catching him off guard.

He stood back and narrowed his eyes.

"Be that way" he walked off angrily and I sighed. Watching him walk away maybe it was for the best. I was to be married and never get the chance to be with him again.

I wish he could just know and understand but I didn't open up either. I just expected him to know.

Later that night silver had come with his family as a surprise visit. Our parents went on and on about wedding this wedding that.

I could see Garry from the corner of my eye guarding the room. Two other guards were stood around too.

"You two should take a walk outside Garry go escort the love birds" my mother said. I dreaded her words.

It was bad enough Garry was mad at me now this!

Garry nodded his head and followed us quietly.

"So what are some of your interests?" I asked silver walking next to me. He just shrugged and I gave up already.

As we walked outside in the courtyard, Garry still walking behind us, I heard a meow.

Looking around I heard it again.

"Look up on the tree there's a kitten!" I yelled pointing up above us.

"Just leave it be the thing will figure out how to get off if not it'll just die oh well" silver said cold heartily.

"Silver sometimes you have to be kind to the creatures around us" I said seeing him look at me in a different way.

I stood in front of the tree figuring out how I should climb up it.

Before I knew it I was above on a branch reaching the kitten.

"Leaf what are you doing up there!" I heard Garry yell.

"This kitten needs help!" I yelled from high above. This tree was taller then when I was below.

"Hey you shouldn't speak to her as her name your a knight you call her princess I can call her Leaf" silver yelled at Garry. I could tell both of their anger was coming out.

They began arguing and I ignored it still trying to get closer to the kitten. My hand was so close yet out of reach.

I leaned more forward holding onto the tree for dear life knowing one slip would make me fall. Finally though I securely got the kitten in my hand and I heard a crack followed by the branch tearing down, me falling right with it.

I screamed and landed right on silvers back.

"Leaf are you okay!" Garry yelled helping me up. I still had the kitten in my arms but I ignored Garry and helped silver up feeling so terribly bad.

"Silver are you okay?!" I said comforting his limp body. I sat on the ground placing his head on my lap. His eyes slowly opened up to meet mine.

"Leaf" he whispered. He looked at me in a familiar scary way. The way I looked at Garry.

"Ah goodness that was quite a hit I'm terribly sorry" I said politely.

He sat up face quite close to mine before he said "I don't think I realized your beauty until now" I blushed turning to face away.

He then stood up and started yelling at Garry again "some master knight you are your suppose to protect the princess not let her falling all over princes!" Silver yelled.

"Enough Silver it was an accident now why don't you go to our doctor to make sure your fine I'm going to tend to the kitten" Silver actually listened and nodded walking off.

I didn't want to be alone with Garry though and quickly started walking off but he stopped me.

"Leaf what was that?" He asked in a deep voice. The same when back two years ago when he arrested me.

"What was what?" I said also irritated.

"The blush the look do you have feelings for him now?" He was wasting my time.

"Garry if your just jealous I must go this kitten needs food" I said turning to look at him only to see the hurt in his eyes mixed with anger.

"Leaf don't play with my emotions if your just going to get bored of my feelings I might have as well ignored my own feelings because those are real I should have never broken the rules and risked my title of a master knight if you are to just leave me" he said.

Tears welt in my eyes "Garry you don't mean that you know my feelings are real I want to spend my whole life with you if I could" I said getting closer to him. He backed away though

"You've been hiding something tell me if you mean it" he said staring deeply into my eyes.

I shook my head lying "no I'm just worried about getting married to someone who isn't you Garry I promise it drives me crazy I love you with all my heart" I said running into his arms finally.

He gave in and hugged me back.

I pulled back to look at him before placing a kiss on his lips.

"Leaf what is going on silver said you fell from a tre.." she saw us. Quickly I pulled away running to her.

"Mother please this I.. i can explain!" I pleased but she was already angry.

"Garry what have you done she is a princess one you've sworn to protect but here you are all over her" she didn't care to listen to my cry's.

That night Garry was locked into the chambers below the castle.

I starred at the kitten on my bed small tears dripping from the corner of my eyes.

Tomorrow would be his sentencing. For sure he would be stripped from his master knight title.

It was all my fault.

"Sir Garry the kingdom finds you guilty and therefore you will be banished from the kingdom and never become a knight in any other kingdom" My father said in front of the whole courtroom.

"No no that isn't fare dad he's a great knight that'll be a loss to all the kingdoms please reconsider" I yelled standing up.

"Enough Leaf!" He yelled making me sit back down.

"King sir I just ask that you let my sister continue to live here in safety that is the only mercy I ask for" Garry said defeated.

"Your sister will not be punished for your wrong doing Garry I am very troubled by this we trusted your as our right hand and you betrayed us" with that Garry was escorted out.

I needed to say my last goodbye though. What if he hated me for this though.

I never got to say my last goodbye.

"Leaf we're pushing The Weeknd to tomorrow after this we want to secure your position in marriage" my father said as we sat on the dinner table. I just looked down at my fingers.

"Make me a deal you made one with Garry" I said.

He listened and I looked up giving him my deal.

"I'll marry silver tomorrow as long as I can travel the world I have yet to see most of it so please allow me for 3 years to travel and from then on I can visit my husband to be once a month up until finally one of our parents are to die I'll become a full time queen" I said determinedly.

"Deal" my father said to my surprise.

"I'll explain to silvers family" he said getting up from the dinner table.

"How gorgeous you are" the maid said as she fixed my gown.

I starred at myself with sad eyes. This was my destiny.

The wedding went by painfully slow. All I wanted was to see Garry and for him to take me away from this.

"You may now kiss the bride" those words still haunted me. I kissed silver with no emotion.

After the wedding I was quick to change and prepare to leave. Maybe I'll find Garry. That hope has never left me. But today I should not worry of that. I have to go to the summoners academy and train for the next three years. Yes that was my destiny.

Nostalgia was all I could feel as I stepped onto the docks of hoenn. Two long years and I was back.

With the guards from Kanto, Sinnoh, and Jhoto they would aid me in stepping into that throne room and claim what's right fully mine.

They marched alongside me as I held Max's hand. It was colder then usual so I pulled my hood up.

The snow messed with my gown but I didn't mind too much it was the only thing keeping me warm anyways.

Once we reached the castle it was easy to enter. No guards in sight. I hoped my people survived for the long two years.

We marched into the throne room and there she was still trying to be young and beautiful. Her youth was nowhere to be soon though.

Old wrinkles and all.

"So you've finally returned" she said standing up "and I see you brought friends".

I stepped forward putting a fist in front of me "yes I have and I am here to take my kingdom back" I roared.

She didn't put up a fight though. She was old and tired. Knew there was no more luxury. She left with the sisters and was arrested by the guards. Someone else would handle her now.

It was a huge relief. I set up a meeting with the townspeople today to present myself as not a princess but a queen.

This time I didn't have to marry a prince I could rule on my own.

"My people that hag is finally gone we shall finally rain in our glory and I promise you all that'll I'll fix all her wrong doing!" I cheered and everyone below clapped.

"First of all the mines will be open once again and anyone who was a manager will be reassigned to a cave and employ those willing this is the first step in remaking our money and no longer poverty" they all clapped at that.

I was so glad I was saying all the right things.

That week I was so busy between hearing the people's suggestions and actually planning I didn't have time to think about drew.

I hadn't seen him since I've arrived and maybe things were better this way. There was a lot on my plate.

Drew

Snow danced around us as we sped up over the mountains heading home. A week long trip to bring in some more fresh produce.

Beside me was mei. She was also a ware wolf.

I reminisced about meeting her.

A month had passed since May left. The queen set a search party for a night and then claimed her and max as dead the following morning.

She didn't care at all about her or max. As long as her daughters were in one piece who cares.

The people mourned their deaths though. I was the only one to know the truth.

I was out in the woods in search of berries. Another food shortage began.  I walked around hearing a lot of shuffling.

Though I didn't take too much mind into it. Walking further I found a bush. I transformed and began gobbling away faster at them.

"Hey this should taste better" turning around I saw a girl with brown hair in pigtails buns holding a dead rabbit

She placed it on the ground and knelt down. She was wearing a long sleeved blue sweater and yellow skirt with black leggings under.

"Go on" I suspected she had no idea. So I continued playing the nice wolf and came closer eating away at it. Hey I needed a good meal.

"Hey share!" She giggled and my eyes grew wide when she transformed into a wolf and began eating with me.

I transformed back falling back surprised. She had a dark brown coat and giggled before also transforming back.

"Surprised huh did you know there were others like you?" She asked helping me up.

"An idea was all who are you though!?" I said.

"My names mei I've had these powers my whole life and I know others too I've been following you actually I could smell your wolf scent" she explained.

I nodded and she turned around "come meet the pack".

Ever since then they've been helping in the revolution. We've been taking a stand while May has been gone. I kept my ties with her a secret though.

"Oh Hugh is gonna love these!" She said as we continued running.

"Not for another few miles though" I said.

We had strapped on leather pockets like a harness and were carrying bunches of carrots as we didn't want to eat too much more wildlife anymore.

After hours of running and breaks we made it to our tree house in the woods. Not too far from the village it was our base.

We climbed up as humans still carrying the food and were greeted by our members.

They consisted of Hugh a guy who doesn't really talk much to anyone but mei, and Kyohei who was very outgoing funny guy. Mei has always been the girl of the group and they were protective of her but she was always goofing off to their dismay.

Even after knowing them for almost two years now I don't find myself to be apart of the group.

More of the outsider who's only here because they're like me.

"Look guys bundles of carrots!" Mei cheered holding up one of the bunches. I liked how her name was the same as Mays just spelt differently. They were both complete opposites too.

They all stood up from the chairs and greeted us.

"We have news too the princess has returned and she's now queen threw out the evil one along with the sisters she's working on correcting all the wrong doings of them" Hugh explained.

"Woohoo! No more tree house guys we can live like normal folks!" Mei cheered.

I stood there speechless. May was back. She did it.

I needed to see her.

There was tapping on my window. It was late at night and I got up in defense mode.

Though I knew my little body couldn't take it I acted like it could.

I opened the curtains and jumped back to see that green haired boy.

He burst out laughing before entering. I narrowed my eyes and began to yell "drew! Stop being so mean this is how you want to greet me after all this time!" I yelled from the floor.

"Oh June still haven't changed a bit have you?" He said sarcastically. Really I had though.

He helped me up as always and I smiled seeing how no matter how much time would past we'd pick up right where we left off as if no time had passed.

As I stood up he hugged me. He spoke from behind my shoulder whispering softly "my feelings haven't changed".

My heart jumped for joy but my mind blocked it out.

"Mine neither but drew there's a lot to do I run the whole kingdom now" I said as I pushed him away.

"You should leave" I said looking away my back to him. He didn't say anything.

I just heard the window close and when I turned around he was gone.

Misty

Two years and Ash had become master knight. He went from being the runt all the way to the top.

"We congratulate you as master knight!" My father said as he placed the master knight badge onto Ash's vest.

He was all smiles from ear to ear.

But I wasn't that night.

"Oh ash you must love the new title!" Melanie gushed holding his arm.

"Yeah your like so cool now!" Angie added holding onto his other arm.

I rolled my eyes ignoring them. When ash was a "bad knight" they wouldn't even look at him!

Now they're all over him. I walked off annoyed. Tonight was the festival for knights. Ash was the star as he had become master knight. That's all anyone could talk about.

This had been what I wanted but now.... I bit my lip and shook those thoughts from my head.

Ash is still the same goofy guy right?

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I quickly turned around thinking ash would finally make us time. Instead it was Rudy in a green kimono.

"Wow misty you look great in pink!" He admired but I glared.

I had been forced to wear a pink kimono but I was adamant on keeping my hair in its side ponytail.

"Come on let's dance you love dancing ever since we were little" memories came back into my mind.

My childhood was worn out ballet shoes and sneaking into the ocean.

Turning around to ash I narrowed my eyes still seeing him surrounded by now even more girls!

He did nothing but smile that goofy smile of his.

"Alright then let's dance" I said turning back to Rudy.

He smiled brightly "great!" I took his hand and to the dance floor we went. We were too close for comfort but all I could think about was making ash jealous.

Instead he was still too occupied by more and more girls.

Rudy noticed my tenseness.

"Hey relax just feel the rhythm" I looked at him before closing my eyes and feeling the song.

It actually worked and I was dancing like normal. It had been so long since I've taken this side of me out.

"This reminds me of when we were children" Rudy said taking me out of my daze.

"Misty I'll spend every day trying to dance like you"

"That's what you would tell me huh right Rudy" I giggled.

He laughed as well "hey I still do ballet too you know you still got point shoes?" I haven't been in my ballet room in so long.

Ever since the day I messed up a step and almost broke my ankle almost never being able to dance again I quit.

I'd rather know I could then lose the chance to again.

I looked away when Rudy pressed his hand under my chin making me look up at him.

"Misty I want to see you dance again" I blushed and pushed him away crossing my arms.

"I need to go" I walked off catching my breath and suddenly I was on the dark stage. Looking down at myself I was wearing my white costume and point shoes.

"Misty you okay?" Turning around I came back from my day dream I saw ash.

I ran into his arms hugging him.

"Ash Im so glad to see you this is what I needed" I said into his arms. He pushed me away though.

"Misty actually I needed to talk to you" he said. I gave him a confused look before he made me heart sink.

"Let's forget about this I'm a master knight now I don't want to risk my duty's as a knight this was great and all but it's not me anymore" all I can remember that night was slapping him and the rest was a blur.

A blur of crying into a pillow and wondering where I went wrong.

But it wasn't my fault it was his.

"Misty I must talk to you" I heard my mother knock. I let her in and she came in sitting down on my bed.

All her important talks were done here. Usually though we had brief conversations.

"Misty dear I have a grand secret I must now share with you and. I don't know if you'll like misty you are..."

"A half mermaid yes mom I know I went to Atlantis and met gramps and mom I'm going through the same thing I'm in love with a knight! And the spell hasn't worked I haven't become a full mermaid ever and" this time she cut me off.

"On your eighteenth birthday you shall be lead into the ocean and become a mermaid forever lost into the sea forever from me, Misty this is to be your fate but I have taken measures to protect you I can't believe your passion for the sea had already begun but now there shall be non of that you are to be married tomorrow to Rudy and live with him this whole time his family have been kind enough to build a wall around the castle grounds keeping you from that ocean" she demanded.

I didn't get a say. Instead of putting up a fight I lost all hope. No ash, no ocean, no all my escapes were gone just like that.

....

"Misty I know you can do it" My husband Rudy said pushing me towards the stage.

"It's kind of embarrassing though" I said blushing twiddling with my gloved fingers.

"Nonsense misty you've spent days practice the ballet dance of the goldeen" he tried.

"Hm" I looked down and he put his hands on my shoulders. Still after months I wished so hard they were ash's.

"Come on I know you have dance in you it lives in you like the ocean did" he said and I gulped.

He left and sat down in the empty auditorium built into the castle to watch me dance.

The violin began swaying and I started to dance.

As I danced I was careful to express every painful emotion in me.

Heartbreak, betrayal, loss. I've never felt so defeated in an instance all I could do was mourn the loss of my youth as the days of running left me.

The moves came to me without even thinking of them. All the practice had engraved in a pattern and I was repeating.

At the last step Rudy gave me a stand innovation. Clapping loudly it filled the room.

"You did not fail to impress misty I could see and feel your pain I've missed seeing you dance" he said and I smiled.

This wasn't so bad. Rudy was trying to give me the world in this castle. A castle never felt smaller.

That night I stared out trying to see the ocean only to have it blocked by that concrete wall.

A whole wall just to keep me in.

Rudy helped me to bed and tried to cuddle up with me but I simply turned my back to him.

"I hope you can find it to one day let me in your heart as I have you in mine" He whispered.

I didn't answer him though.

As I laid there I wondered what ash had been up to.

Pondering if when he laid in bed if he thought of me.

Paul

"Paul" I heard her soft voice. I was floating in a pool.

"Paul" her voice becoming more urgent. I was floating in a pool of blood.

"Paul!" She screamed in terror. Opening my eyes it wasn't her screaming for help. She was screaming for me to stop.

I got up with a start and felt myself panting. Once again I had the same dream. Where I lost it and somehow become some giant evil monster.

"Paul!" I heard dawn sing song. Just like in the dream. I got up rubbing my eyes and looking at my window to see my love with her glowing eyes.

"Look I made you a pie!" She handed it to me and it smelt rich in protein.

"Thanks love" I said rubbing her head. It's become the norm for me to use more emotion. I was robbed from emotions my whole life.

Dawn gave me life.

"Oh and Paul today's the day" ah yes. The one I couldn't prevent. Her wedding with Kenny.

"Paul we can runaway and never look back" I pushed a finger on her lip to keep her quiet.

"No we can't dawn you know that let me clear my head will ya love?" She nodded and kissed my cheek before walking away.

I sighed and got dressed to go out into the woods for a walk.

The woods is where I did all my great thinking. As I walked through it I heard the creaky old voice.

"Yoo hoo laddie! Over here!" I turned around and saw a small old lady with a huge hunch.

I pointed at myself and she nodded.

Walking over to her she began "can I ask ye a favor I can't reach a small cup in my cupboard" It wouldn't hurt to help so I did so.

"Ah Thank ye also laddie I can tell your in a pickle so here this should help ye get whatcha want!" She handed me a small purple filled bottle.

"Drink it before you enter the ceremony and you shall gain the strength to accomplish your goals" she said before slamming the door.

I knew she was a witch in that instance.

Hours later the ceremony was beginning. I was a guard at the door having to watch everything go on.

Before it began I drank the potion. The whole time I began hearing a voice.

He was cold and shallow almost wanting to swallow me up.

"You shall be my vessel" Were the last words I heard before dawn came in with her wedding dress.

She looked gorgeous in her dress. Except it wasn't for me.

I felt every inch in my body become angry. More then it ever had. Out of nowhere the voice returned.

"Take what's yours"

Dawn

As I stood in front of Kenny in a white dress I wanted to throw up. This awful feeling in my stomach was too much to bare.

Suddenly the crowd screamed. Turning Paul was attacking the guards.

He wasn't himself though. Purple light glowed from his body. Black lines also formed around his face.

"Paul!" I yelled hugging him. He came out of the funk.

"Dawn help me gah!" He screamed holding onto his head. Paul pushed me away from him before he began attacking people again.

None of the guards could stop him. He then took my hand "come on Juliet these fools won't take though from me!" Who was Juliet!?

I pushed my hand from him "Paul what is going on!" I yelled before once again he went crazy.

"Do you not want me this whole time I've waited to one day be alongside you again and now your pushing away from me?" He was talking like a mad man!

"Snap out of it!" I tried reaching for him when suddenly I was lifted from the ground. His eyes glowed only white as he stared up at me hanging in the air paralyzed.

"Paul" I muttered out but he only began laughing.

"I will conquer those for taking my Juliet!" He put me down gently before once again with his mind tearing everything about.

Paul then summoned a carriage from the ground with purple markings appearing on the ground.

Black horses were controlling it and Paul went inside.

"Paul no!" I screamed as Kenny held me back.

He went off with a promise of war.

...

"Dawn this is crazy you can't do this!" My mother yelled as I continued to grab more supplies.

"I have to mother I love Paul and obviously he isn't right somethings going on and I'm going to save him" I said putting my crystal sword in it's case attached to me.

"Where in the heck did you get all this armor anyways?" She questioned but I ignored her.

"I'm off" I said walking out ignoring her cries for me to stay.

I reached the stables suiting up a horse when Kenny suddenly came to me.

"Dawn I'm coming with you" he said but I scoffed.

"Kenny I'm never going to be in love with you hear me just go away I'm trying to save Paul" I yelled getting on my horse.

He shook his head though "that's not the point dawn I actually want to help you!" He pleaded. I looked him to see he had a serious look on him.

"Fine be ready in 10 minutes or I'm leaving without you!" He ran off with a smile.

"You won't regret it let me get my sword!" How could he smile at a time like this!?

Little did I know that in this time Paul hid himself away.

He was planning an attack.
