Kariah-Belle Nadire's body ached but she managed to throw a kick.

Ahmeal swayed easily.

Kariah spiked her mana output. She poised her sword made of solar energy to strike the Queen but Ahmeal swiftly conjoured a wall made of hardened solar energy. The Master Knights attack was deflected. The queen tried to grab Kariah-Belle but she reversed it after increasing her mana output again.

She grabbed the queen in a hold.

"Not bad. Your mastery over your life force is most impressive." Said Ahmeal.

Queen Ahmeal gathered a large amount of mana and pushed Kariah-Belle away.

She then blitz her hitting her with a combo. Each attack created a small shockwave. She ended her combo with a kick to the head, downing Kariah. The young knight was seeing stars.

Kariah-Belle lay breathing heavily on the floor as she rolled over. Her mana hull shattered and so did her solar dagger. Ahmeal stood over her. A sword made of dense solar energy in both hands.

"What distracts you?" She asked watching Kariah-Belle with curiosity.

"Your fighting style... It's similar to Kaden's."

The Solaris sat next to her. "I'm the one who taught him his sword style."

Kariah-Belle shot up. "It's similar to Lilith's." she knew her mother's fighting style thanks to watching videos of her training countless times.

The ash and orange haired woman chuckled. "Your mother was one of my masters."

Enthusiasm swirled within Kariah-Belle. "No way! That's awesome! Iris said her training methods were intense and that's coming from Iris." The realization was evident on her face as she added
, "That's why nobody knew where you were for years. You graduated early then went off the grid."

Ahmeal nodded. "Your mother's training methods were brutal alright." She chuckled and she added, "I still get nightmares. The skill I am preparing you for is-"

"Ultraviolet?"

"Correct."

"You can use it?"

"I cannot but I can prep you for it. Weather you can or not will be known with time."

"That's why you're teaching me solar craft."

"Correct. It seems as though you may share your mother's affinity for it. With Kul, you should be able to grasp it faster than most."

"With Kul I can only make a small dagger. That burns through more mana than she can give. Without that borrowed mana I can't even create solar energy."

"That little dagger may be proof you have an affinity for it. You're not only creating solar energy from scratch since there is no sun light, you are shaping it. With more training, you can sharpen that skill."

"Thank you!" Kariah-Belle hugged the queen with joy.

Ahmeal chuckled and hugged back. "Don't mention it."

Kariah pulled away and searched the queen's face. "You are on the search squad, for Kaden?"

"Yes." She said calmly.

The Master Knight could see hurt in her superior's eyes. It was intense and almost made Kariah-Belle cry.

"How are you holding all that in?" She said.

Ahmeal tilted her head with a curious look.

"After I started training with Kul I've gained the ability to feel the emotions of others after staring into their eyes." Kariah answered.

The queen looked away. Tears began sliding down her cheek. "In times of crisis, a queen must be strong for her people. All of humanity is watching me now." She sat in a fetal position as she cried. "When I'm alone... I wonder if he's already dead."

The Nadire understood her feelings. She had thrown her tantrum earlier. Akio wasn't around this time so she had to be kept busy or she would lose control of her emotions again.

She put her arms around Ahmeal. "Kaden is a reckless idiot but he can take care of himself."

"He... He told me he was leaving. He kissed me, he made love to me and he told me he would see me later. He... He didn't lie, did he?" She asked.

Kariah-Belle never thought about if Kaden didn't come back. Her big bro toppled Dracula whom she didn't compare too. In her mind him coming back was a given.

"Kaden is many things. A liar isn't one of them. You've read the report." Kariah-Belle said with pride. "He can tap into the dark god's power. He'll find his way back to us."

Ahemal wiped her cheeks and nodded. "Right. I'm gonna beat him to a pulp for making me worry so much."

Kariah marveled at how fast the queen was able to pull herself together. "You aren't the youngest queen for nothing. Youre amazing."

The other woman laughed. "You sound like your brother." She then stood. "Come lets see if you have his skill without mana."

Kariah sprung into a stance. "Alright! Hear I come Blazing Sword!"
