"Captain, it is over. We have won this war. " A soldier says as he stands five meters behind his superior. His clothing was stained in blood and his face was hidden behind the wicked mask to identify himself as the servant of the Cryo Archon. 

However, the captain did not move as he stared at the crimson ground, stained of blood. His mask covered all sorts of expression on his face as he retraced his sword back into its sheath. 

"Withdraw the troops." He coldly orders as he stands still. The soldier obliges and walks away behind as the crunching of the boots against the heel was heard until it went back to complete silence. 

The clouds slightly roared, almost as if looking down on the Captain with pity. He raised his head as he looked up at the sky and sighed. 

"This isn't what you would have wanted." he mutters out to himself. Drops of rain pattered slowly across the land as it washed away the stains of the war slowly yet painfully.

"I apologize for what I do." he says as he lowers his head in shame. 

He was once a reputed knight from a fallen kingdom. A selfless knight who served his nation and people to his best. A knight who dutifully complied to the one who swore an oath. The knight who drew a line between him and his lady.  The knight who loved his lady.

The knight who wished to be in comfort of his lady's embrace.

As he turned on his heel to return back to his camp, he looked at the bloodshed around him. 

"You're the most miserable person I have met, captain." he hears a familiar voice followed with a cheeky giggle. He felt a familiar warmth from behind as he noticed the [h/c] colored strands of hair over his shoulder from the side. 

 He turns back again in the direction of the voice only to be with met the same somber scenario. It was yet another delusion of his, perhaps from the corrosion?

"Perhaps, I am." He replied back as he turned back towards his route to the nearest Fatui Camp.
