People asked adults what their parents said to them as kids to scare them. Here are some responses:

My parents told me if you weren't good all year Santa would eat you.

My parents told me if I swallowed gum I would Fart baubles. I swallowed gum and had a meltdown at Walmart.

Another person said: My mom told me the ice cream truck plays music when it's out of ice cream! XD

My mom told me there was a little man in the fridge that turned on the light for you. I was terrified of that little man.
