BOYFRIEND X DEIMOS IS REAL

The days have been turned into nothing as the two agents stood in the hot Nevada sun. Both sitting near the edge of the base. Taking a quick break before going on with their next mission. The short blue-haired guy just took a sip of his cherry Dr. Pepper while the taller brown-haired demon girl stared at him while eating a slice of pizza.

Boyfriend and his Girlfriend working for the AAHW was a rather bizarre event. But it didn't bother the couple. The job had pretty good pay compared to the others in Nevada. And besides, it was not that bad. Sure, the same four guys would show up and cause murder but it's not like they cared. Nothing would go to bother them anyway. Anything that would get in the way of their relationship would be dead here. Girlfriend's parents didn't know that their daughter was even there right now.

They're been working here for about a year now. They've climbed up the ladder rather quickly. Succeeding in multiple missions and even being promoted by The Auditor himself. All of this just made their lives as elite agents of the AAHW more peaceful.

Yet there was something that bothered her. She decimated the slice of Pizza Hut pizza in a couple of bites. And then asked a question that haunted her mind ever since the couple joined the organization against Hank J. Wimbleton.

"Why did you want to join?" GF asked, sounding a little bit condescending by accident.

Boyfriend stopped sipping his cherry Dr. Pepper and turned his head with a confused gaze. The rapper raised an eyebrow at her.

"What do you mean?" The agent replied to his lover. "Don't you like this? Ya seemed very happy at the last mission."

"Yeah I know," Girlfriend said back. "But isn't this too dangerous? The AAHW training was pretty inefficient. We're dealing with mercenaries that killed several people already! What if you got killed by Hank or something? I can't let that happen!"

Boyfriend sighed and stood off the wall he leaned on. He pulled out the mic the AAHW specially made for him. It looked red and had a knife that stuck out of it. It looked shiny and well cool to Boyfriend. He's become so obsessed with this job. He played with the weapon while he spoke.

"Look, I get it. But trust me, babe, this is the best for us! Think about it, your parents aren't bothering us, the job pays well and we look so cool wearing these outfits! What's not to love?"

Boyfriend gestured to the trench coat he wore. Rubbing his black shirt with his hands lightly.

Girlfriend just sighed. He was making her feel more worried than relieved. "But Boyfriend! You're a rapper though! I haven't seen you in an actual fight until you shot Deimos a few months ago on our first mission! Don't you want to worry about that a little bit?"

Boyfriend sighed the smell of a nearby dead grunt and his cherry soda making the situation awkward. His eyes widened and his face furrowed into a slight frown.

"GF, it's all going to be alright! I know this is a pretty dangerous business! But I'll be alright! I get that you don't like me getting hurt. But I need you to trust me when I say this! Pico taught me how to shoot back when we dated! I can handle it alright?"

Girlfriend slightly rolled her eyes and pushed her long hair further back. She went and grabbed her rifle and revolver while saying "Whatever you say, sweetheart. But I'll still be on edge."

Boyfriend chuckled and said, "Alright then!" Before walking towards his significant other, giving her a quick kiss. He turned to the plain desert of Nevada.

"So what's our next mission?" Boyfriend asked, sounding curious. "The Auditor said we gotta go soon."

Girlfriend rummaged in her pocket after he asked. It took her another minute until she pulled out a small piece of paper.

"Well, the mission is just to take some teenage boy back to the base." She said, reading the paper while speaking.

Boyfriend chuckled at what he heard. He smirked and said "Okay! That's going to be pretty easy! How's a teenager going to take on a couple of agents?"

Girlfriend looked at him, her face scrunched up slightly. She didn't understand why her Boyfriend was so casual about this.

"You kinda… didn't let me finish." Girlfriend replied, wrapping an arm around him.

"Look, this is no ordinary child! He's been known for surviving any injury known to man! He just can't die! He has regeneration powers that none of our weaponry could do to kill him! Not only that, he's killed several people! And the weird thing is…"

She paused for a minute before finishing "All of the deaths were in self-defense. He didn't strike first!"

Boyfriend looked up at the slightly taller girl. His face was incredulous after his GF finished her explanation. He knew it was ironic to say that he didn't believe this. Regarding the fact, he met an immortal zombie clown, demons, a bomb humanoid, his GF's vengeful skull-headed ex, and an entity leading an organization. And he just couldn't forget that dimension-hopping teenager. But he had to tell the truth. This was the line he'll cross.

"Really? I don't think this is true!" Boyfriend replied with a giggle. "Like really, a teenager with Wolverine superpowers that has a massive kill count? I just don't understand why anyone believes that. Sounds like it's more based on fiction than reality!"

"Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth? Especially after all we've been through?" Girlfriend retorted, her brows furrowed.

"Yeah, but that's beside the point!" Boyfriend said back, walking to the nearby truck. He sounded playful at the end. "We gotta complete the mission, let's go! I call shotgun!"

Girlfriend just rolled her eyes and chuckled. Walking to the truck, tossing her weapons and ammonium on the truck bed.

"Sure thing," was the only thing Girlfriend said before going in the front seat and putting the key into the ignition.

The truck started not long after. And it drove off. Boyfriend and Girlfriend were now officially on their way to their next (and final) mission. Unaware of what kind of person they were dealing with.

What Boyfriend and Girlfriend didn't know was that they were being spied on. Many miles away, in the empty Nevada desert were two of the three mercs who the AAHW were after…

Deimos stared at the truck via his binoculars. The grunt seemed intrigued by the couple. Mainly at the blue-haired rapper. He chuckled to himself, taking out the cigarette he smokes out of his mouth and stomping it loudly. The other taller merc, Sanford was standing there with his meat hook held with two hands. The smooth backside of it hitting on the palm on his left.

"Aww, how cute!" Deimos said to himself, Sanford didn't know if his friend was genuine or not. "Looks like that little blue-haired guy and his girlfriend are on a mission again! Wonder what the AAHW sent them to go after anyway!"

Sanford took a deep breath and exhaled. He sounded a little confused and annoyed as he spoke. "What's with you now? You're acting so weird around the AAHW's new lackeys! I've never seen you act this way unless it's towards some girls."

Deimos stopped looking at the binoculars when the truck was out of view. He turned his head to Sanford and gave him a smirk.

"Oh come on Sanford! This is interesting though! Shouldn't you be somewhat interested in them though? They don't look like the usual bad guys we take out! And that blue-haired boy was so good at music! He sounds like John Lennon and Kurt Cobain combined!"

He smiled and blushed a little. "And I don't know, that cyan-haired guy is so short and that personality is so adorable! I don't know why, but I have the urge to hug him to death! Can't wait to see him again!"

Sanford chuckled lightly, putting his hook back into its holster. But the chuckling stopped as his face turned stoic.

"He shot you Deimos," Sanford stated bluntly. He sounds a bit concerned. "And I know for a fact that he's probably going to do it again! He wants to kill you. Not hug you or anything else you were thinking in that noggin of yours."

Deimos scoffed and swiped his hand in denial of what Sanford had to say. He didn't care. He continued to chuckle while speaking.

"So what? What's wrong with forgive & forget? I don't care if he shot me! I still want to see him again! He has that charm Y'know?"

Sanford groaned slightly as he heard Deimos light up another cigarette of his.

"Yeah? But that also means that little bozo and his girlfriend are going after us. They're going after you, me, Hank, John…" Sanford said, feeling like Deimos was losing it. "You shouldn't trust him."

Deimos got up, taking another drag of his cigarette. Sanford is overthinking this according to him. He pointed a finger at him, his fist clenching.

"Hey! Who says I trust him?" Deimos snapped back lightly. "You're taking this too seriously dude! I bet he won't hurt a fly! We're trained mercs, man!"

"What about Hank and the kid?" Sanford asked, a bit taken aback.

"Dude, Hank's like taller than both of us and would rip him to shreds! And the kid, he can't die. He'll just heal from anything, no matter how enormous the wound is! He'll be alright!"

The larger mercenary turned to the truck of their own. Shaking his head and lowering his shades.

"Whatever, we got a job to do. We gotta get some bozos to take out." Sanford said, heading to the vehicle and starting the engine. "Now come on, let's get going."

Deimos gets up and turns to follow him. He loaded the magazine into his M4A1 as he walked into the passenger seat of the truck. He felt like this was going to be okay. Besides, he was waiting for him and Sanford to go and do some action.

"Yeah," Deimos muttered, as Sanford got into the truck and started to head out. "Let's go. I can't wait to get some stuff done!"

Meanwhile, the couple were driving in the Nevada desert. Searching for their next target to bring back to the base. Boyfriend decided to take the driver's seat after about ten minutes into the drive. He didn't know what this teen they're looking for. So he wanted his girlfriend to go and spot for this child, which she obliged without a word.

They've been out for hours. Looking around in the desert, the sound of the hot wind blowing against their faces makes it hard to find him. They occasionally saw the usual grunt or dead agent. The couple never encountered Hank or his cronies so far. But everything seemed off to Boyfriend. Girlfriend felt the same thing as well.

Especially the one thing that plagued Boyfriend's mind: the dead agents. Where did all of them come from? How did all of these agents die? This made Boyfriend raise an eyebrow and think.

"Where the hell did all of these corpses come from?" Boyfriend asked, the sound of gunfire becoming eminent. He seemed confused as he tried to understand this. "I don't get it. Everything just went violent all of a sudden."

Girlfriend turned her eyes to him, then back to analyze the dead bodies. Most of the corpses were suffering various wounds. The cause of death were usually impalements, bullet holes, and sometimes decapitation. Blood was scattered around the floor, and it confused her a little bit.

"Well, I don't know," she said, raising an eyebrow. "I think it's probably Hank or something. I think it's the kid."

Boyfriend nodded and continued to drive. He frowned and raised an eyebrow, still wondering about this mission.

"Wait, so we should try to kill him then! He is killing our coworkers."

Girlfriend scowled at that. She shook her head. "What? No! Babe, that's not what to do! This is a teenager who minded his own business! He was only killing in self-defense! Maybe we can talk to him?"

Boyfriend groaned at this. He rolled his eyes and sighed, he didn't understand Girlfriend's thinking. But he wanted to take care of this in a way that would lead to zero issues. So he nodded.

"Yeah sure, but I just want to see if he's hostile or not."

She nodded and said "Well, okay then. Let's get this over with."

Not long after they had this conversation. Boyfriend stopped the truck as soon as he saw the person in front of them.

The truck slammed hard, almost causing the couple to fly off the car.

Standing in front of them was a young grunt who looked like he was in pure dread. He looked tall and had black hair. He had bullet holes that regenerated into normal in seconds. He had a sword impaled in his chest. Blood was pouring out of his exposed wounds before they healed. The hoodie he wore looked all damaged with holes.

He widened his eyes in surprise at the couple. He frowned, pulling out the sword from his chest cavity. His insides were a little exposed, his heart was cut in half before regenerating into normal. He stared at the couple for a second before speaking.

"Oh, not again…" he said, sounding sad and nervous as well as disappointed. "Look, I don't want violence. I already kinda ended a lot of agents' lives…"

Oh, Boyfriend thought, so that was why the agents died.

Boyfriend immediately jumped out of the vehicle and pulled out his gun and mic. Aiming the gun at the child. Before anyone could react. The trigger got pulled.

The bullet hit directly at his forehead. It flew into his head and penetrated his skull. The child almost fell in shock. He could feel his brain get damaged like thousands of times before.

He stood still as his wound regenerated. The skull repaired itself, its skin slowly overtook the wound. Turning into almost completely undamaged skin.

"Why did you do that!" Girlfriend yelled out as she jumped out of the truck. Boyfriend widened his eyes as he saw the child prepared to strike.

"Not cool man," the kid mumbled to himself. "Not cool."

The kid ran towards him, sword in hand. Boyfriend immediately jumped back and unloaded the gun on him.

The kid was only stopped for only a couple of minutes. The bullets hit his midsection and head, only for the young grunt’s wounds to regenerate.

Boyfriend grabbed his mic and prepared to stab him until Girlfriend jumped between them.

"Hey! Stop! Don't do this!" She yelled, Boyfriend stopped and gasped. She slowly backed off and sighed. "Not cool Boyfriend! Not cool!"

Boyfriend and the child both stared at each other with pure confusion. They both put their weapons away. Both looked at her, then at each other.

Girlfriend turned to the child, giving him a soft smile. "I'm sorry sweetie, my partner is just a bit… trigger-happy. Y’know, Nevada isn't the safest place." She said softly. Her voice is calming to the child.

The kid nodded and said back, "No no, I get it. But I gotta be honest, I don't trust you, agents. You always shoot me for no reason!"

Girlfriend sighed, she felt so sorry for this child. She couldn't imagine being hurt so many times and just regenerating from it… Why was the AAHW after him anyway? She thought, How can they just go after him like that? I understand Hank or Deimos but… why a teenage boy?

Girlfriend shook her head. "No, I will not hurt you kiddo," she said back. Walking closer to him. Boyfriend chuckled at this, Girlfriend would be an amazing mother. He knew it. "We were just here to bring you with us. We got orders from the AAHW."

The kid frowned when she mentioned the AAHW. "Oh no, not those guys. I hate them! Why can't they leave Hank alone? I don't get it!"

Girlfriend widened her eyes in shock. She quickly put a hand on the child's shoulder. Looking at him with a concerned look.

"Wait, you know Hank J. Wimbleton?" She asked, Boyfriend walked to her side and beeped in surprise, staring at the teen.

The kid gave Boyfriend a stare of his own before turning to the girl.

"Yeah," the child replied, a smile on his face. "We met like a year ago. He was one of the people that cared about me… I was alone here until I met him. He was the closest thing to a father or something."

Girlfriend nodded, she thought it made sense. Both Hank and the kid were enemies of the AAHW and well, Hank had to be kind to someone. Sure, he was a psychotic merc but he was cool with Deimos and Sanford. She expected this child would be close to someone.

"I see that," she replied, her hand still on the child's shoulder. Her concern wasn't gone through.  "What's your name sweetheart? I just want to know, okay?"

The kid nodded and said "The name's John. John McKinley." He said, feeling a bit on edge. He grew a liking to the agent couple though. "I think you already knew about me."

Girlfriend chuckled and gently ruffled John's hair. She felt a bit more joyful and began to like the child. Her concern was gone for now. John smiled when Girlfriend did that, he was very relaxed and easygoing and he also enjoyed it. He felt happy, like when he spent time with Hank & the guys. Whoever this brown-haired woman was, John began to view her as a motherly figure.

"John," Boyfriend said with a giggle. "I love that name! Sorry for shooting ya!"

"No problem," John replied, turning his head from Girlfriend to her blue-haired companion. "What are you guys' names?"

"Just call me GF," Girlfriend said, smiling at him. She pointed at Boyfriend with her thumb. "And that's BF."

Boyfriend nodded at her statement and said "Yeah, nice to meet you kiddo. Now is it alright if you come with us?"

John thought for a moment. Analyzing the couple intently for a second until he shrugged.

"Okay…" John replied he smiled "Just don't do anything weird okay?"

"Yeah," Girlfriend said, gesturing to the truck. Boyfriend went into the front seat and began to wait for them. "We promise honey, let's go!"

And without a word, John and Girlfriend soon went into the back and driver seat respectively. Girlfriend put the key into the ignition. And they began to head back to the base.

An hour passed, and they were not that far away from the base. Boyfriend and Girlfriend were talking about what happened earlier for most of the time. John didn't speak that much though. He did talk to them about presidents though. He spoke about how Richard Nixon liked to eat cottage cheese and ketchup for breakfast and how Teddy Roosevelt went blind during a boxing match he did while president.

Overall, they spent a good time together. John became attached to Girlfriend though. She was such a kind girl who didn't want to kill him. She reminded him of Deimos in some ways.

But while they were driving. A familiar face came to them. A face Boyfriend didn't expect yet dreaded.

A tall man came out of a nearby big rock. His face was filled with scars and masked up. He immediately pulled out a machine gun, opening fire at him.

The number of bullets penetrated the vehicle as the couple quickly left the vehicle. John soon followed.

That man was Hank J. Wimbleton himself. Boyfriend started opening fire back as he hid for cover.

John just stood as Hank opened fire. He didn't say anything… He just stood in shock.

Hank opened fire, eventually leading to him running out soon. The gun clicked as he dropped it and pulled out a shotgun. The firearm looked gigantic compared to Boyfriend's peashooter of a pistol. Judging from the pure size of the weapon. It looked like a four-gauge.

Hank pumped it and shot it at the truck. The slug made a sound like nails on a chalkboard when it hit the vehicle. It must've hit the engine because the vehicle went into fire. Flames slowly rise from the carnage.

Girlfriend, in fear that the truck would explode, quickly made a decision. Her skin transformed into purple as horns and wings emerged. One of her eyes became red as she did something she hadn't done in a while. She used her demon powers and teleported her and Boyfriend away. They disappeared in a beam of light. Leaving John with Hank.

Hank stopped shooting and groaned. He turned to John and shook his head. He sounded bummed out.

"How did they escape?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "And why were they taking you?"

John just shrugged and said "Beats me, Hank. They were actually nicer than the usual agent."

John then walked towards Hank. Grabbed his hand, and proceeded to walk with him. Hank did the same. They needed to head back to base… Deimos and Sanford were waiting for him.

Meanwhile, the couple reappeared in the base. Both landed on the ground. Boyfriend got up first, followed by Girlfriend. Both agents looked around the base.

"Well," Boyfriend said, "This is awkward."

Girlfriend got up and dusted herself off. "You can say that again." She replied, "Felt like I got a major migraine. Don't worry though, I'll be alright."

Boyfriend chuckled and nodded, grabbing the only two things that survived that situation: The mic blade and the pistol he had.

"Beep," he quickly said, forgetting to speak English for a second. "I get it. I'm just frustrated that we didn't succeed in the mission. I hope that our boss w-"

His words stopped when he heard the sound of footsteps and flames. The sound of a grunt getting his neck snapped caused the couple to turn in surprise. Boyfriend's eyes widened in shock.

Standing there, towering over the couple was the Auditor. The entity's sharp red eyes stared into their souls. Boyfriend started to shake slightly, but not that much. Girlfriend grunted at the sudden appearance of their boss.

The Auditor's flames burned out in hatred as he burned the dead grunt corpse by touching it. The halo on his head made him look like some angel of death. Or a demon pretending to be an angel. He pointed at them, his voice sounding demonic yet calm.

"Don't you have anything to say for yourselves? You are failures Y'know?" The Auditor scolded, a long black sword manifesting from one of his tendrils. "I hired you, imbeciles, to take the child to us. YET you failed that. How can anyone fail something as simple as that?"

Boyfriend didn't say anything. He could feel the burning heat coming from his boss. Girlfriend, however, was less obedient and silent. She walked towards the Auditor, stopping when she was inches away from him.

"What the hell are you talking about!?" Girlfriend shouted back, her face scowling towards her boss. "It was impossible! Hank was there! He destroyed our truck! We had no choice!"

The Auditor scoffed. "Quiet you vixen! That's no EXCUSE for your lack of responsibility and efficiency! You will not talk to me like that! Understand?"

"Oh screw you! You don't care about anybody but yourself. Why did you want this child anyway? I quit you monstrosity! I can't even believe I worked for such a petty, weak little man like you!"

Those words make the Auditor pissed. He immediately grabbed Girlfriend by the shoulder and stuck the sword in her. She felt the black blade go deep into her chest. Blood came out as the Auditor madly yelled: "THAT'S IT! YOU TWO ARE FIRED! AND I WILL TAKE YOUR LIVES LIKE THE PATHETIC MAGGOTS YOU ARE!"

Boyfriend jumped in fear. His eyes became blurry with tears. "No… NO! NO!" He yelled out as he tried to stop him. But it was too late, his girlfriend was already dead. The Auditor pulled out the sword, Boyfriend saw his love's dead eyes as he slowly backed off.

He wanted to kill the Auditor. Wanting to rip him into shreds for killing the most precious person in his life. But he couldn't, he didn't even know if any gun or weapon could even harm the Auditor. He quickly ran, dashing out of the hallway in tears and terror.

Agents went after him as the last thing he heard from the Auditor was "GET him. I'm not done with him…" followed by him laughing madly.

Boyfriend wandered the desert. He was sitting near a rock, and the memory of the Auditor getting Girlfriend impaled was still stuck in his mind. He continued to cry to himself. Chastising himself for joining the AAHW.

He was now a former agent. The boy slammed his fists on the ground as he silently scolded himself. His grieving attracted the attention of Deimos, who was near him and not aware of his existence.

Deimos was smoking a cigarette, taking a drag of it until he heard the sound of a grieving person. The mercenary's eyes widened. Wait, he thought, is that who I think it is?

He turned, Boyfriend turning his head to make eye contact. A moment of silence was shared between the two. Deimos decided to be the first to speak, stomping on the cigarette before he spoke.

"Let me guess," Deimos said softly. "You quit the AAHW?"

"Yeah…" Boyfriend said between sniffles. He hasn't felt this bad since his break up with Pico. "I don't want to talk about it. Especially to someone who'll hurt me."

Deimos shook his head, sounding a bit sad. "It's alright. I know already, Doc told me." Deimos quickly sat next to the puffy-eyed boy. Staring at him with an empathetic look. "And no, I don't want to hurt you. Especially after what you just experienced."

Boyfriend didn't understand how this merc knew that already. But he didn't care right now. He was just grieving, sitting in the fetal position and everything. He looked down on his knees. As he continued to sob. It was all his fault, he was so into his job that his Girlfriend died.

Deimos hated seeing this. He hasn't seen this amount of emotional distress since John. He decided that he had to take things into his own hands.

Deimos quickly picked the cyan-haired boy up and laid him on his lap. Boyfriend squeaked at the sudden action, causing Deimos to chuckle. Deimos quickly wrapped his arms around the boy's little body. Giving him a soft yet tight embrace.

Boyfriend stopped sobbing and sniffed. He widened his eyes as his hair was being caressed. Deimos looked down at him with a loving gaze. The soft smirk of the mercenary had turned into a big smile.

Boyfriend just leaned on him as he sighed.

Deimos was so warm to the rapper. He felt so warm in Deimos' arms. And his hair being caressed by him made Boyfriend feel all warm inside. But he needed to ask a question though.

"W-why are you doing this to me?" He asked, relaxing in the comfort Deimos gave him. His face has a slow soft tint of red. "Didn't I shoot you the last time we met?"

Deimos chuckled. So cute, he thought, poor guy. He makes me want to hold him forever!

He shook his head. "I forgive and forget. Little guy," he replied, squeezing him tighter. "You only need to know this. You're coming with me, and I'll help ya get her avenged. I'll be there for you!"

Boyfriend simply smiled for once and rested his head on the grunt’s chest. Closing his eyes and falling asleep.

Deimos simply chuckled and picked him up. He walked back to base. Sure, he had lots of explaining to do. But he didn't care, his Allies wouldn't mind having another man join the team.

The end.
