After leaving his father's study, Shawn went to analyse the blood on the knife, he was able to confirm that the blood on it was Mabel's blood. He decided to inform the rest in school

Homeroom

Shawn:I've opened the box,or at least my dad did. Anyway, I have the murder weapon, it's definitely Mabel's blood stained on it. But the culprit used gloves so I could not be able to track her down. But I do know the person used french gloves.

Samuel: well that doesn't exactly give us much to go on.

Shawn: however, I believe that Perle isn't the culprit

Everyone looked at him in shock, only Hyeldie looked relieved.

Shawn: judging by the look on Hyeldie's face, I'm right.

Hyeldie: you are. I'm sorry for keeping this from you, but I couldn't risk putting Perle in danger, or you guys. I wanted to wait until we had more leads.

Shawn: after my father helped me hack the box, he told me never to jump to conclusions, it got me thinking, what if the culprit was someone we don't even know yet? And that's why we haven't caught the person. The fact that Perle saved Karen shows that though she can't say who's responsible, she's willing to protect Karen.

Suddenly They heard screams from the hallway, the whole class rushed out to see what had happened when they saw Karina and Karen trying to shave each other with their bare hands.

A/N- Their homeroom teacher rarely attends homeroom, so Shawn normally soundproofs the room so nice one can hear the ruckus inside.

Samuel and Sal quickly  get behind both and knocked them out by hitting a pressure point, after which they took them into class and woke them up

Karen: what happened? Oh yeah, I was trying to knock some sense into that bitch before someone knocked us out.

Karina: the only person who need sense is you!

Karen: I don't have time for this, I need air(goes to the window)

Karina: as do I! Thank goodness my first class is PE (leaves)

As she stood by the window, Sal noticed a gun sticking out from a bush, aiming at Karen, he grabbed a pen and began spinning it as he ran and pushed Karen, blocking the bullet with the pen

Sal: that was close(examines the bullet)

Shawn: we need to go catch whoever shot at Karen!

Steven: let's go!(about to run out)

Sal: Don't bother, the gun is on auto fire. This is a point blank drugged ac27 bullet. It's only used by auto fire able guns to either drug an enemy without needing to get close, or kill someone without being able to be traced. Whoever fired that gun is either at the other side of school,or not in school at all.

Samuel:(narrows his eyes) and how do you know so much about bullets? I mean they taught us about bullets and guns in military school, but they never went THAT deep. Where did you learn all that?

Sal:(almost invisibly flinches but goes back to normal)  the internet is a wonderful thing when you know how to use it right Samuel.

Samuel:{there's something you're not telling us Sal, but it'll come out eventually, you can't keep your skeletons locked in the closet.} Alright, but what are we gonna do about that gun?

Karen: I don't know, but I do know what I'm gonna do. I'm going to go the hospital and confront Mabel. As far as I know she's awake right? She's the only one who has answers (leaves)

Samuel: oh shit!

Shawn: Steven, Samuel, with me let's go!

Samuel: we should Sal along, just in case we need his 'expertise'.

Sal: if you think I can help I'll be happy to (frowns)

Imogen: smile Sal, not friendly, you're happy remember?

Sal: right(smiles akwardly)

Samuel: nevermind, let's just, let's just go(they leave)

At the hospital

Karen reached the hospital first because she followed a shortcut while they were stuck in traffic.

Mabel's room

As Karen enters, Mabel seems asleep, but as she closed the door, her eyes opened. The nurse had told Karen that Mabel couldn't speak right now, apparently whoever did this, hit her throat, most likely to smother her scream

Karen: hey Mabel. I need to talk to you, blink once if you can hear, then once again if you're okay with that.

Mabel:(blinks once, then again)

Karen: great. Blink once for yes,twice for no, do you understand?

Mabel:(blinks once)

Karen: did you see who did this to you?

Mabel:(blinks once)

Karen: do you know the person personally?

Mabel:(blinks once)

Karen:was it Perle?

Mabel:(blinks twice)

Karen: huh? That was unexpected. Can you write?

Mabel:(raises hand and waves shakily)

Karen:(brings out a notepad and a pen) could you write the person's name please.

Mabel:(collects the pen)
Something hits the window, Mabel saw what it was, but Karen didn't. Mabel's blood pressure shot up, she quickly began to write something.

Karen: what's wrong Mabel?(looks out the window) who's there?

She hears the door open,she turns to see a girl about her size, she had hazel eyes but was dressed in all black with a mask on. As soon as Karen turned, she ran out down the hallway

Karen: oh no you don't!(follows her)

As she ran down the hallway after her, the person cornered into an empty part of the hospital, it was under construction apparently. She suggested tripped, allowing Karen grab her hand, but she quickly pushed Karen. But Karen scratched her hand with her nails, going through the material and injuring the person.

The person, winced in pain, and kicked Karen in the gut. But Karen refused to go down, she grabbed her hair and pulled on it, but the person kicked her again and got free, injuring Karen on the leg in the process. Karen suddenly realised something

Karen:{what if she has a partner, Mabel could be in danger!} (Runs back to her room)

As she arrives back in the room,she finds Mabel looking very scared, with her fist clenched tightly. Beside her was Karina, who looked at me in anger.

Karina: why did you come here? Came to finish the job?

Karen: I don't even have time to deal with you! Why are you here anyway?

Karina: I'm her sister, I left  school so I could stay with her, I left to buy something to eat. Now why are YOU here? Though I have a pretty good guess.

Karen: I came to find out who's behind this! She tried to kill Mabel, I was just chasing her. Look she even injured me(shows her leg)

Karina: that could've as well been anything else.

Karen: you know what? Think whatever you want, I'm leaving, hopefully she left some tracks (leaves)

Karina: hey! Get back here!

As she gets into the hallway, she hears Samuel yelling below her, she quickly goes to meet him, Karina following behind to get answers as well

At the front desk

Nurse: she already has two visitors, the doctor said to keep the visitors to a minimum.

Samuel: but this is a matter of life and death!

Shawn: you're a nurse, you're supposed to help people, but by not telling us her room, you're endangering your patient even more than you think

Nurse: I'm sorry but-

Karen: I'll take you guys to her, come.on we have to hurry! SHE'S here.

Steven: oh no.

Sal: dis you see her?

Karen:I did but she was wearing a mask, I'll explain on the way but for now let's go.

As they raced down the hall, a bomb was thrown in the crowded hallway. As the gas began to escape, Sal quickly rose an alarm.

Sal: hold your breath, that gas will knock you out if you inhale!

Shawn: activate coat mask!

A mask that was attached to his coat covered his face, he then threw three extra oygen masks to them.

Samuel: thanks for the heads up Sal.

Sal: my pleasure to help, but we won't be able to see anything till the smoke clears up, it makes the atmosphere opaque and stiffens the muscles to the point that moving them is impossible till it clears up, after which everyone will wake up.

Shawn:activate infrared vision (looks around) oh no!

He saw someone by Karen and Karina apparently repositioning them

Shawn: we have to stop her, follow me!

But before they could get there she ran off. They saw how she had positioned them and knew that when they woke up all hell would let loose. She had positioned them in such a way that Karina was atop Karen with a knife piercing into her chest slightly

Samuel;(tries to move her) I don't get it, how was she able to reposition them yet I can't even make them bat an eyelid.

Sal: she must've used a mild neutraliser to temporarily unstiffen their muscles without waking them up. Ingenious!

Shawn; whatever she did, it's gonna be trouble when they wake up

Ten minutes later

Sal was with Mabel to make sure nothing happened, while Samuel and Shawn stayed in the hallway to try and contain the imminent cat fight coming their way. As soon as they woke up. Karen pushed Karina and began to yell.

Karen: so that's it right? You think I tried to kill your sister and now you wanna kill me? Now you're the one who's gonna be behind bars!(takes a picture of her with the slightly bloody knife) at least I actually have proof(turns to run to the police station)

Karina:(shocked) but I didn't do anything, I don't even know where this knife came from!

Karen: oh don't be such a hypocrite!

Samuel: she's telling the truth! The real culprit was the one who set her up while you were unconscious.

Karen: like I give a damn! I'm report her and there's nothing that'll change my mind!

Karina: but I'm innocent! I would never try to kill someone. How can you just accuse me so coldly?!

Karen: now you know how I feel!

Sal: enough!(knocks Karen out)

Karina: thanks Sal.

Sal: save it, you may not be guilty, but that doesn't change the fact that one of my best friends is behind bars while the other is being suspected for murder.

Karina:(regretful) I'm so sorry, I never even gave Karen a chance to speak. Now I know how it feels to have everything point at you even when you're innocent.

Sal: it doesn't matter now, Mabel had this in her palm when I got there, it's a chant of some sort.

Shawn:(reads)

Samuel: what the hell does that even mean?

Sal: maybe we should get back to school, I texted Imogen and she that Keith was able to lie you guys to safety. Maybe you guys can figure it out together.

Shawn: or we could all head to my house with Karen to make sure she doesn't go ballistic.

Samuel: yeah, in the meantime we can try and figure out what the hell she wrote.

After school

The rest of the gang came to meet up with them.

Samantha: my grandmother is a very spiritual person, maybe she could help us.

Samuel: at this point we'll try anything, we're running out of time, we've got two more days before Sebastian's trial

Samantha: I'm sure my grandmother should be able to figure it out by Tomorrow.

Hyeldie: I'll drop you off, let's go

Samantha's grandmother's house

Sindhoora: Pairanka! How have you been all this while, you haven't visited for the past four months (hugs her)

Samantha: I'm sorry grandmother,o have been busy, I promise that as soon we settle this case I'll come over for the weekend the next week and tell you everything. But right now I need your-

Sindhoora: who is your friend?

Samantha: oh, where are my manners. Grandmother this is my friend, Hyeldie. We're here on an investigation related business.

Sindhoora:oh? And how can I help? First let me get you all something to eat, please sit down.

She returns with some tea for them.

Hyeldie: thank you ma'am.

Sindhoora: please, call me granny, that's what everyone aside from Pinky here calls me.

Hyeldie: you call her Pinky too?

Sindhoora: of course! I can't call her Pairanka all the time, quite a mouthful Don't you think?

Hyeldie: so that's why they call you Pinky, I thought it was because of your pink hair, though I still don't get why your hair's pink, while your Grandmother has red hair.

Samantha: that's because my mother has red hair, and my father has silver hair, so when genes crossed you get pink hair.

Hyeldie:oh, anyway, we need you to help us crack the chant please(gives her the paper)

Sindhoora: hmm, I think I can crack by tomorrow.

Samantha: perfect, well we should get going now, we have help piece all the evidence we have so far.

Sindhoora: sure, goodbye my dear, say hello to your parents for me

Samantha: alright grandmother, bye!(leaves with Hyeldie)

The next day

Samantha: I'm gonna go over to my grandmother's house to collect the evidence tomorrow.

Suddenly Kyle walks in to their surprise.

Keith: I thought he only comes on Mondays

Kyle:I do but today we have a new student, Georgie,please come in

George: Bonjour everyone, nice to meet you all. Jem'appelle Georgie Jardin.

Kyle: okay, everyone be nice to Georgie, she just recently moved here and isn't very fluent in English

Karen:(looks up to see the new student) (screams) ITS HER! SHE'S THE ONE!( Tries to attack her)

Imogen: (holds her back) calm down Karen, how can you be so sure?

Georgie: desole, do I know you?

Karen:quit pretending you psychotic bitch!(pulls off her gloves) see? Look at her hands, that's where I scratched her yesterday at the hospital!

True to her words, they were thin but purple scratch marks on her hand

Georgie: oh this? This happened last night when ma tante slipped and tried to hold on to moi for support.

Karen:liar!

Kyle: okay, let's just get Karen to the nurse(knocks her out) carry on.

Georgie: I apologize on her behalf, it seems she has me confu for someone else, I shall just go to my next class(leaves)

For the rest of the day Karen kept trying to prove that Georgie was the culprit, but will anyone believe her?
