Awaking again, Cat rose from her sleeping position and stretched her arms. Just as she opened her eyes, she froze. Mikey was fast asleep on the opposite side of the couch, cuddling her tail. "What the?," she mumbled with a smile forming. He did look cute. She gently tugged her tail out of his grasp and stood up off the couch. Hoping that it was really morning this time, she searched around the lair for a clock. There had to be a clock in the kitchen. She slowly crept across the room and quietly entered the kitchen. "Ah!," she yelped in shock as she saw the guys sitting at the table. "Sorry! Did we scare you?," Donnie asked worriedly. "Geez it's our house! We're allowed to scare her! BOO!," Raph teased. "Raph," Leo said firmly. Cat stood for a second, twirling her hair and trying to regain her cool. "I-I'm good. You didn't scare me. Nothing can scare me," she said with a smirk. Raph laughed. "Well it seemed like we scared ya," he said. Her smirk grew wider and she walked over to the table. "Are you implying that you could do it again?," she said slyly as she tapped her nails on the table. Donnie and Leo's faces were blank with confusion, while Raph's seemed pleasantly annoyed. "Yup," he answered her. Finally a worthy opponent for each of them. They locked eye contact, with happy fury in their souls. "Is that a challenge I smell," she sneered with her pointed fangs at attention within her devious smile. Raph brought his face closer to hers to answer, but before he could, Leo butted in. "So what do you want for breakfast?," he asked nervously as he pulled Cat and Raph apart. She chuckled. "Ya got any bacon?" Leo smiled and pulled a plate of bacon off the counter. "Pfft what do ya think?," he asked sarcastically as he handed her a strip. She gladly took it and shoveled it down in one gulp. Leo looked happy, yet a little shocked by her ferocity. "Sorry...I haven't really eaten in a while," she tried to justify herself. He just chuckled and sat back down, even though he knew that statement had a lot more meaning to it. "So...do you have any interest in....ninjutsu?," Donnie asked awkwardly. Cat's eyes widened. "Ninja what?" All three of them looked appalled and almost insulted. "You don't know what ninjutsu is?!," Raph exclaimed. Cat held her hands up in surrender. "Sorry. Sorry. But yeah no I have no idea what it is," she said, not sounding at all nervous. "We can teach you!," Mikey yelled as he entered the kitchen. "We could," Leo agreed. "Oh there's no question!," Raph said strongly. "Wait. What?," she interjected. "Seriously guys, she might not want to learn ninjutsu," Donnie put a hand on her shoulder. Her tail flicked with contentment. His slight gesture made her feel comfortable and safe, even though it was just a friendly hand on her shoulder. "No no. I mean, if you guys would want to teach me," she said with a slight smile, feeling welcomed. "Well duh," Raph smirked. For the first time in a long time, Cat was starting to sense the warm and welcoming sensation of friendship. "We'll start now...Kitty," Leo said with a smile. Even though it was strange and foreign to her that they accepted her with no hesitation, she figured she'd take advantage of it. Maybe she could have friends....she'd just have to be careful.
