A PLAN! ... maybe

Adrien shared his findings with Master Fu, "This could be more difficult than I imagined. Fluff, can us your power and time to go back and time and confirm that this is true?" Fluff came forward and nodded.

"Master, let me go with Fluff, then we can figure out why Trix didn't mention it before we sent her to Alya." Tiki took Fluff's hand and they disappeared.

"Master, we can't Mari look at her old life. It caused her to break down last night. She might be Ladybug but she's five. We have to let her be five. Unless we need Ladybug." Adrien crossed his arms not bending on this.

"I was afraid of that. I hope Tiki and Wayz had good news." Master Fu sighed. He had never seen Adrien so serious about something. Yes, the boy had grown into a fantastic young man, but he loved the freedom his independence gave him. So he often had a more carefree attitude that was a bone to pick with both Ladybug and Mari, no wonder.

The two Kwami's reappeared, "Well it differently happened, But it seems that both Trix and her holder had their memorize whipped by the butterfly.  It had been a quick thirty minutes, not several days." Fluff explained.

"They never had her detransformed. So we aren't even sure if Nonroo is right and it would work." Tiki sighed and looked over at Mari who had been playing quietly.  "What are we going to do?" Plag had only ever seen Tiki cry when her holders died or the few time in the past when she had her holder be Guardian and have to give it up. Plag rushed to her side. He had only ever lost a holder, Adrien was his first one chosen to be Guardian, but he couldn't imagine how hard all this was for her the memories and pain it must have bought back up.

"Come on Sugercube let's go sit in the garden for a bit, you need some air." Plag and Tiki floated away.

"Woah, I've never seen Plag act like that? What was that all about?"

Fluff answered before Master Fu, "Plag and Tiki are the only two who are always paired together, they have a bond stronger than any other Kwamis. They are always put out into the world at the same time, and they usually are removed at the same time. No matter what state their holders are in, they always are in use at the same time, so they read each other like a book, Tiki is the only one Plag goes soft for. Trust me he's always bitter when his holder falls in love with someone who isn't Tiki's holder."

"Sound like she speaks from experience, Master, is that why I had such a strong bond to LB right away?"

"No, not necessarily, Plag would amplifier those feelings yes,  but you still have a choice." Master Fu smiled.

"Okay, so Noroos power is our only choice to maybe save Mari?" Adrien asked.

"Looks like it." Master Fu sighed, he started to speak again, but Mari interrupted.

"Adrien?"

"Yes Mini Mar?" He picked her up.

"I'm bored, can we go do something else soon?" She then slipped off his lap and went back to playing.

"Look, if we are gonna do anything with Hawkmoth directly, we need to keep Ladybug out of it. I know we have plans for fighting his plans, but I..." Adrien looked down.

"I understand Adrien. Maybe we should wait for another day."

"No, I'm gonna go drop her off with my father, he mentioned wanting to spend time with both of us, but if I have an emergency meeting, and promise to join them for dinner, I'm sure he will. Ally seemed to inspire him. And I'll go make a plan with Nino and Alya." Master Fu looked at him in shock.

"Are you sure that's wise? She could stay here?"

"Master Fu, my father wants to spend time with me, that never happens, Ally seemed to brighter up his world, so I'm going to trust him." Adrien walked over to Mari, "Hey little one, wanna go play Ally with my father for a while?"

"Really! He seemed nice!" Mari smiled.

"Well, that's a first," Adrien muttered under his breath. "I'm gonna call him so I can go have a meeting with the other superheroes. Is that okay?"

"Don't you need Ladybug?" She looked up at him.

"Not for now, and you need to be five without trying to be an adult." He smiled at her.

"I like that idea." She smiled up at him.

"Okay, I'll go call him then, you go back up your toys." Adrien pulled out his phone and called his father's direct line, only for emergency, well he decided this counted.

"Adrien? What's wrong?"

"Father, I have an emergency meeting with one of my clients, can you and Nathalie take Ally?  I was thinking after we could have supper together and maybe a movie?" his father sighed on the other end.

"I gave Nathalie the day off today... But I raised a child before I had an assistant, maybe a distraction from my designs will be helpful."

"So that's a yes?" did Adrien dare hope that his father would be helpful?

"Yes bring her by." His father hung up the phone.

"Alright, kiddo let's go." they waved goodbye to Master Fu and headed over to the mansion.

Adrien barely said hello before ran off. Gabriel looked at the little girl, "Hello again Miss Ally how are you today?"

"I'm good, how are you Mr. Agrest?" Gabriel was surprised at her clarity.

"I'm struggling with my designs to be honest with you little girl."

"Like dresses?" Ally's eyes lit up.

"That's right you like to design, don't you? Come with me I have some blank dress drawings that you can colour while we chat."

Ally's eyes lit up, Gabriel chucked, "I would love that! I have all kinds of drawings at home but I left them at home." Gabriel took her hand and walked her to his office.

He got to know the girl better and laughed at how much she reminded him of Marinette, no wonder Adrien seemed to like her so much. "Ally how would you like to look at my current design? I can't make it work."

"I don't know if I can help but sure!" She smiled and step up on the step Gabriel found for her. "Oh." She looked hard at the screen.

"What it is Ally?"

"It looks sad. The dress makes me feel lonely, it's almost dark? It's all black." She looked at him, "Was that what you were going for?"

"No, is it the colour? I was thinking it kinda had a Chat Noir feeling to it." He sighed, the more he looked at the more he saw was this child saw, it was depressing, it showed what he'd been feeling lately, it's why he hadn't sent any butterflies out lately, he just didn't want to fight, but could he give up his wife. Could he let someone else in?

"Nope, Chat Noir balances his all-black look with an overly playful energy. This doesn't have that."

"Are you sure you're five? You seem too smart for your own good." Gabriel laughed.

"I'm five, I just love fashion. Um, Adrien told me he lost his mommy, is that why this dress is so sad because you miss her?"

"Everyday little one. She was my everything. And when I lost her, I let everyone go even my son." Ally knew he said he didn't hug, but she hugged him anyway. He started crying. "How did you make me feel again?"

"Kids are special." She smiled. "Adrien loves you, you know. He just wants you to spend time with him, and help him." She took his hand.

"But what if I was a bad dad little one?" Gabriel sat on the floor.

Ally followed him and sat next to him, "Everyone can change, can't they? So what's stopping you from being the father you want to be. Maybe you can just give it up? Or if it's your job give some of it away?"

Gabriel cried for a few more moments. could it really be that simple? Did this little girl understand what she was asking? "I'm not sure it's that easy, but I promise I'll think about it. Anyway enough of this sadness. We should do something fun for Adrien tonight."

Ally's eyes lit up, "Cupcakes!"

"I'm sorry?"

"Cupcakes from that nice baker lady who lent me her daughter's stuff! He seemed to like them I bet they even know his favourites!"

"And I bet the chef here still knows his old favourite meals too, and we can have a mini party." Gabriel smiled, he could still have his son, even without his wife, maybe just maybe he could let everything go and be here...
