jimin and namjoon started to hang out more often. the other day they had gone to get some more ice cream, but instead of eating it at the ice cream parlor, they went to the park to enjoy their cold treat. namjoon even brought along his dog while jimin cooed at it and played with it all while namjoon slowly ate his ice cream that was melting.

tonight, they were at the movies, standing beside each other while jimin tried picking which movie he wanted to see since namjoon didn't really care which one.

after deciding, they paid for their tickets and bought some drinks and snacks during the movie. jimin had never gone to the movies before despite being in his human form for so long and being friends with taehyung. he'd never even tried popcorn either, not until tonight.

he ended up hogging the bucket of popcorn and finished it all up while watching the previews. namjoon had offered to go refill it for him, but jimin wanted to go with him as well, so the two went back to get their popcorn refilled.

"have you ever tried butter on your popcorn?" asked namjoon as they walked beside the counter where you ordered. beside it was a soda-like machine, except it said butter, in gold-colored letters.

jimin shook his head. "this was my first time trying popcorn."

namjoon smiled before putting the popcorn on the butter machine and pressed a button. jimin watched curiously as the butter came out and landed all on the popcorn. when namjoon was done, he took a single popcorn and pressed it against jimin's lips. jimin opened his mouth and namjoon put the popcorn in his mouth while jimin chewed.

"wow, this tastes better than without butter," said jimin as he let namjoon feed him some more popcorn, his tastebuds filling up with the flavor of the popcorn and butter combined.

"we should get back before the movie starts," said namjoon as he glanced at his phone for the time. "our movie will be starting soon. don't try to finish the popcorn in the first few minutes of the movie."

"why would they give us very little popcorn then?" asked jimin as they headed back to their movie room.

"movie theaters like to overprice things even the smallest cup sizes, just so we can spend more of our money," said namjoon as they stopped at the door of their movie room. "now, try not to talk very much during the movie or other people will be bothered by it."

jimin nodded and they headed inside. they sat in their seats that they sat in before they left and luckily, no one had stolen any of the snacks that namjoon had left behind.

as the movie started, jimin didn't seem to listen to namjoon about the popcorn because as they were fifteen minutes into the movie, jimin had eaten half the bucket of popcorn that he had once again hogged to himself.

namjoon didn't bother taking some from jimin since jimin seemed to have liked him popcorn so much, especially with butter on it, so namjoon instead ate the snacks he bought. he bought a drink for himself and jimin but jimin wasn't too worried about his drink. he was more focused on the movie and eating the popcorn.

when jimin finished his popcorn, he finally began to drink his drink and while he continued to watch the movie. namjoon's eyes would occasionally glance at jimin out of the corner of his eye and a small smile would form on his lips.

"next time we hang out, we should go to a place where there's a lot of food so i can try other food as well!" jimin excitedly exclaimed after the movie had ended. they were now leaving the movies and were headed home. jimin smiled up at namjoon, his eyes turning into moon crescents as they also formed their own smile.

namjoon couldn't help, but smile as well. "you're so cute, jimin."

the words escaped out of namjoon's mouth before he could even stop himself and judging by jimin's smile that grew wider, he knew jimin had heard him.

"you're cute too, namjoon," said jimin as he let out a giggle.

namjoon could have sworn his heart melted at the sound of jimin's giggle. what is happening to me? he literally just giggled and my heart did a thing.

"hey, namjoon?" jimin called out, distracting namjoon from his inner thoughts and his heart.

"yes jimin?"

"have you fallen for me yet?"

namjoon almost choked on his saliva after having heard jimin ask his question. his heart did another thing and he wanted to punch his chest to stop whatever his heart was doing to him.

after noticing namjoon's silence, jimin spoke up again. "if you haven't, that's fine. i'll wait until you do."

namjoon bit his bottom lip, as they walked, jimin kicking a few stones while looking down at the ground.

namjoon felt bad and realized that maybe jimin was hurt. he didn't want to upset him nor did he mean to, so he looked down at jimin's hand before slowly clasping his hand around jimin's.

jimin looked at their hands before looking up at namjoon, a small, yet confused smile on his lips.

"you looked sad," said namjoon. "and although i don't feel the same for you, it doesn't mean we can't hold hands to comfort each other."

jimin's smile widened and he tightened his grip on namjoon's hand. jimin lightly swung their hands back and forth as they walked together, not wanting to let go any time soon.

namjoon's heart did another thing when he got hold of jimin's hand and it did another thing when jimin smiled wider at him.

he tightened his grip on jimin's hand, his heart yet again, doing another thing.

what is happening to me? if this is me falling in love with jimin, i better fall out of love. jimin is a cat and i can't fall for a cat.
