namjoon loved his friend taehyung, he really did, but he wasn't sure how to feel about taehyung's friends because most of them were animals.

he especially didn't know how to feel while watching taehyung and his lover and two of taehyung's friends or more like two bunnies, kiss each other.

namjoon's eyes widened so he quickly turned his eyes away and looked at jimin, the only one in the room who wasn't kissing anyone. "are you dating anyone?"

"why are you asking?" jimin raised an eyebrow and smirked. "are you interested in me?"

"are you flirting with me?"

jimin shrugged, but the smirk still remained on his face. "maybe."

namjoon felt awkward sitting with two couples kissing and a flirting cat sitting across from him.

"i'm not dating anyone," jimin finally answered namjoon's question. "but if you want..." jimin stood up and moved to sit beside him. "...we can. we just have to get to know each other first before we go for it."

namjoon wasn't sure if he was more nervous because of the way jimin was flirting with him or because of how close jimin's face was to his.

"now i see why taehyung said you were so good looking."

"what?"

"let's get to know each other, namjoon."

"i have a dog!" namjoon suddenly blurted out.

"and i'm a cat. what difference does that make?"

namjoon nervously swallowed. he glanced behind jimin to see that the couples were still too busy kissing.

"would you be mad if i kissed you?" jimin asked as his eyes glanced down to look at namjoon's lips.

"jimin, we just met."

"so what you're saying is, you want to get to know me first before we kiss...and date."

"that's...i didn't...date?"

"oh, asking me on a date, i see." jimin smirked again. "i accept, just let me know when and where."

namjoon thought this was his cue to leave because not only did he feel like a third wheel, but he felt nervous with the flirting cat.

"taehyung, i suddenly remembered that rapmon had an appointment at three, so i'll see you later. it was nice meeting your friends," he shouted on his way out the door.

what he didn't know was that jimin had followed him.

"namjoon! you liar, it's four o'clock!"

namjoon froze for a few seconds as he recognized jimin's voice. he quickly scurried away after a few moments, trying his best to run away from jimin.

"namjoon, if you don't stop running, you're going to make me do something you don't want me to do," he heard jimin shout.

namjoon continued to run ahead a little longer until he was out for breath and was forced to stop. he placed his hands on his knees as he stopped to catch his breath. he turned around to see if jimin was still after him, but didn't see him.

smiling, he turned back around only to be met with a cat in front of him, or more specifically, a calico cat.

namjoon bent down to pick up the cat before staring at it curiously. "do you not have an owner?" he asked as he didn't see a collar around the cat's neck or anything that could identify the cat's owner.

"maybe i should take you to taehyung. he works at an animal shelter."

the cat seemed to protest as he let out a whine.

"or maybe not?" namjoon said, unsure. he rubbed the cat's soft fur, a smile on his face. "you're so cute, though. i almost want to keep you."

suddenly, a cloud of sparkly dust appeared engulfing namjoon and the cat. namjoon closed his eyes in fear, afraid of what would happen. he hoped nothing bad would happen to him or the cat.

"you can open your eyes now," a familiar voice said.

namjoon opened his eyes and found jimin smirking at him. "so, you think i'm cute."

namjoon stared with his mouth agape. he tried speaking, but no words seemed to form in his mouth, but finally, he was able to mutter out a, "what?"

"i'm the calico cat that you just called cute. didn't taehyung tell you?" jimin asked.

namjoon suddenly remembered that taehyung had mentioned that jimin was a calico cat, but since he was too busy trying to get away from jimin, it didn't cross his mind as he found a cute calico cat standing before him.

"you tricked me," namjoon finally said.

jimin's smirk remained on his face. "what else was i supposed to do? you were running away and i wanted to catch up to you."

"sorry, i felt too nervous with a cat flirting with me," namjoon said as he sighed and began to walk, not bothering to care if jimin followed him anymore.

"we should go on a date."

namjoon stopped walking again. "what?" he asked in disbelief. "jimin, i don't know you and you're a cat."

"so? who cares if i'm a cat. i'm also human, you're not going to date my cat form," said jimin with a roll of his eyes. "besides, we don't have to go on a date just yet. you said it yourself, you don't know me and i also don't know you, so let's get to know each other."

namjoon sighed and began to walk home again. "i just want to get home to my dog."

"so you have a date with your dog?"

"he's my dog, my companion, not partner or lover."

jimin raised his hands up in defense. "i was just joking."

"anyways, you should go home now while the sunset is still out," said namjoon.

"aww, you care about my safety," jimin cooed.

now, it was namjoon's turn to roll his eyes. "jimin, it's still daylight, just get home."

"i want to be with you, though."

"no."

"please, i promise i'll get along with your dog."

"the only cat that rapmon has been successful in liking is yoongi, but he's not even a cat anymore," said namjoon as he recalled the time he spent with taehyung and yoongi at the park, except yoongi was a cat.

"is that supposed to stop me from trying to get your dog to like me?"

"i don't know, but i hope so."

jimin stared at namjoon in disbelief, his eyebrows furrowed together and his mouth agape. he wasn't sure what to say, so instead, he just closed his mouth and walked alongside namjoon with a pout on his face.

namjoon glanced at him out of the corner of his eyes and a small smile formed on his lips, but that small smile quickly disappeared after jimin spoke up.

"hey, namjoon."

namjoon sighed, mentally preparing himself for whatever jimin had to say. "yes?"

"i know we just met but..."

"but?"

jimin stopped walking and namjoon did too as he waited for jimin's reply.

"can i kiss you?"

namjoon didn't say anything and proceeded to keep walking again. he saw his house coming into view. "jimin, i told you, we just met."

"let's get to know each other then."

"i'll think about it?"

"what is there to think about?" jimin asked. "i'm good looking, you're good looking. imagine what our kids would look like."

namjoon's eyes widened. "jimin, we can't even have kids for that matter. we're both guys and you're a cat."

"so you're saying you still want to try out this relationship?"

namjoon sighed again. "jimin, why do you keep flirting with me? just go home."

"no, i don't want to leave you. i like you and in hopes of you liking me back, i'll keep flirting with you until you do."

"i...you're really...confident," said namjoon, astonished by jimin's honest reply. "but you can't simply like me. we just met."

"i think you're good looking though."

"jimin, you're a cat."

"and?"

namjoon sighed once again and finally stopped as he stood in front of his house. "and i'm home," he said.

jimin watched as namjoon made his way to his front door before unlocking it. from the door frame, he saw namjoon's dog standing at the door and wagging its tail in excitement to see its owner home. "bye namjoon!" he yelled as namjoon closed the door.

now that jimin knew where namjoon lived, he suddenly had an idea.
