july 10 is national kitten day uwu (i know it's the 11th but we'll just pretend like i wasn't late in publishing this chapter)

"it's summer and it's so hot outside, so why not go on a little three-day vacation to enjoy ourselves and relax for a bit?" taehyung asked as he looked around his friends all sprawled out around his living room.

jungkook was sitting on the couch across taehyung with his legs spread open and hoseok sitting in between them. jungkook's arms were wrapped around hoseok's waist from behind while hoseok's hands rested above his boyfriend's hands.

"i have animals to care for," said hoseok.

"and i want to be with hoseok," said jungkook.

beside the couple, sat jimin staring at taehyung with a bored expression, his chin resting on his palm. i have animals to protect," he said.

"what if taehyung brought cheeseballs and chocolate and even invited namjoon?" asked yoongi who was sitting beside taehyung on the couch, his hand resting on his boyfriend's thigh in a comforting way.

at that, jungkook's and jimin's eyes widened and nodded their heads yes. "i'll go," they said in unison. and hoseok who had no choice but to go since jungkook to wanted to be with him, nodded his head yes as well.

"alright, make sure to pack your bags with whatever you guys will need. it's tuesday and we'll be leaving thursday afternoon," said taehyung while smiling.

jimin was smiling as well. he was going to go on a trip with namjoon...that is if namjoon said yes. jimin hoped he did.

taehyung texted namjoon that night asking if he wanted to come and he agreed, and jimin who was too excited texted him as well.

jimin: so you're coming on the trip right?

namjoon: yes :))

jimin: i'm really excited i'll get to spend more time with you

namjoon chuckled as he read jimin's text, the phone's bright screen lightening up namjoon's face in his darkroom before he replied back to jimin's text.

namjoon: make sure you pack some ointment for those scratches

jimin: i thought you said i still looked cute despite the scratches :(

jimin giggled to himself in his dark bedroom as he read namjoon's text, his smile widening as he sent namjoon another text.

jimin: not as cute as you though ;)

namjoon's eyes widened and reread jimin's text, making sure he wasn't seeing things. jimin giggled again as he read his own text.

the park jimin was flirting with namjoon and namjoon didn't know how to feel, but his heart spoke for him by doing another thing.

ignoring the feeling, namjoon had a small smile on his lips as he typed one last reply before turning off his phone and going to sleep.

jimin giggled yet again before sending a goodnight text as well before heading off to sleep.

"where are we even going?" asked jimin as taehyung took jimin's bag that had all the things he needed for the trip. he had packed four sets of clothes and his pajamas in case he didn't feel comfortable sleeping in his cat from with his friends around, and a few other necessities such as his toothbrush and the ointment that namjoon mentioned.

jimin didn't bother packing any food. he figured his friends would want to eat some type of human food and jimin was excited to see what kind of food he would be trying and if he would like it or not.

"it's not far from here," said taehyung as he placed jimin's bag in his car. taehyung hardly used his car as he didn't think it would be necessary to drive when all he did was live about ten minutes away from his job and five minutes away from the grocery store.

he figured walking to his job and the grocery store was a way to get exercise as well, as he was too lazy to actually do proper exercise such as pushups.

"babe, did you already put my bag in the car?" asked yoongi as he approached his boyfriend with a worried look on his face. "i don't remember where i left my bag."

taehyung nodded. "i already put it in the car," he said as yoongi let out a sigh of relief. taehyung playfully rolled his eyes before pressing a kiss to his boyfriend's cheek, yoongi instantly blushing.

"alright taehyung, where's the cheeseballs and chocolate?" asked jungkook as he approached his friends with one hand holding onto the strap of his backpack that he was carrying on his right shoulder while his other hand had held hoseok's hand.

"we weren't sure what to pack other than clothes and our toothbrushes," said hoseok as his free hand held onto the strap of his backpack that was hanging in his left shoulder. "jungkook didn't want to pack food. he insisted that you would be the one to provide food."

"you promised cheeseballs and chocolate," said jungkook with a pout.

taehyung reached into his car before taking out a container of cheeseballs and some chocolate bars. "i have more cheeseballs in case we run out," he said as he glanced at yoongi and jungkook who smiled sheepishly at each other. "as for the chocolate, i didn't buy much since it's hot outside and it'll melt."

"that's fine, as long as i get to eat some chocolate before it melts," said jungkook as he reached for a chocolate bar.

jimin frowned as he watched his friends. hoseok and jungkook had placed their bags inside taehyung's car and were sharing a chocolate bar together while taehyung was feeding yoongi cheeseballs.

jimin wanted someone to do that kind of stuff with.

as if on cue, namjoon suddenly appeared beside jimin, one hand holding onto rapmon's leash and his other hand holding a backpack with his things. he smiled down at jimin. "hi jimin," he greeted.

jimin's frown was instantly replaced with a smile. "hi namjoon."

jimin's smile grew wider as he sat beside namjoon in the car. the scorching summer heat and taehyung's car not having air conditioning had no effect on him whatsoever. all that mattered was that he would be spending the next three days with namjoon.
