jimin now had namjoon's number. his phone kept going off every few minutes from a text from jimin that namjoon hadn't even replied to yet. heck, he hadn't even replied to the first text jimin sent him.

as his phone kept going off, lighting up his dark bedroom with the phone's light, namjoon sat up and sighed as he got his phone off the bedside table and unlocked it.

he scrolled up through all twenty-nine messages from jimin until he reached the very first one and started reading the messages.

namjoon smiled at jimin's spam of messages that he sent over the past thirty minutes, almost forty minutes. he wasn't bothered that jimin was constantly texting him, or at least now he wasn't. after reading jimin's texts he thought it was cute especially when jimin kept wishing him a goodnight.

jimin's phone lit up on his pillow beside his head and he reached out to see who it was, hoping that it would be namjoon.

jimin smiled after reading namjoon's name on his screen and his smile widened even more after reading namjoon's goodnight text.

namjoon: i was trying to sleep but my phone kept going off so after almost forty minutes i finally checked to see why i was getting so many notifications

jimin put his phone down as well as namjoon before both of them went to sleep.

jimin: good morning ☀️

namjoon smiled at the message from but didn't bother to reply as he was busy trying to leave for work. he thought about replying once he got to work, but as soon as he opened his front door to leave, he didn't think he'd have to reply anymore.

"hi namjoon, did you get my text?" said jimin, smiling brighter than the morning sun at 8 am in the morning.

namjoon slowly nodded as he was still trying to process that jimin was standing outside his door, waiting for him, again.

"jimin, why are you here?" he asked.

"i want to walk with you on the way to work in the mornings. i was also very excited to see you. i wanted to text you some more, but i wanted to wait until you replied back," said jimin.

namjoon locked the door behind him after saying goodbye to his dog, rapmon. he began to walk, jimin following him as they walked together.

"so, when do you want to hang out again?"

"anytime you'd like to."

"great, how about tonight?"

"tonight?" asked namjoon, trying to figure out if he had any plans.

"is tonight not an option?" asked jimin, worriedly.

"we can hang out tonight. i was trying to remember if i had anything planned today, but i don't," said namjoon after a few moments of thinking.

"i want to hang out with you as much as i can," said jimin. "i really like you and i want to get to know you more. i also want you to get to know me more."

namjoon pursed his lips as he listened to jimin. he had completely forgotten how jimin felt towards him but he didn't see himself dating jimin, especially since jimin was a cat.

namjoon didn't want to hurt jimin's feelings so he said nothing as jimin spoke, rambling about how he wanted to kiss him, but since namjoon didn't want to, jimin said he would wait until namjoon got to know him more and would be more comfortable around him.

jimin didn't realize how long he'd been rambling until it came time for them to part ways to get to their job.

"i'll text you later," said namjoon as he waved goodbye.

jimin's smile remained on his face as he also waved goodbye and walked the rest of the way to work. he was excited to get a text from namjoon later and he couldn't wait until they hung out after work.

namjoon on the other hand, was unsure if he should hang out with jimin much, not that he didn't want to get to know him more, but what if they do date?

namjoon didn't think it would be normal to date a cat.
