KNOCK KNOCK
I hear someone at the door. I don't know who it could be no one knows my address yet. I slowly got out of bed and to my front door.

"What" I snap tiredly

"Well I see someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning" I look up to see Damon, who looks all cheery.

"Well I'm not a morning person and besides its the weekend which means I can finally sleep in but of cause someone has to wake me up" I say leaning against the door frame.

"Ok grumpy no need to get your knickers in a twist but you could always invite me in and you can go back to bed and I can tell you why I'm hear" Damon says with a smirk

"Now why would I invite a vampire into my home?" I question

"Because we're friends" he says

"I hardly know you we only met yesterday, I don't see how we are friends" I say in a matter-of-factly voice.

"Well some day you will invite me in" he says

"Ah-huh" I say "so what do you need Damon"

"I need you to get dressed and cleaned up and meet me at my house" Damon says pointing at me. I look down and see that I look terrible...

well I just got out of bed so obviously I look like this.
"Fine" I say and shut the door on Damon's face. I got fresh clothes out of my closest and head to the shower. Once showered and dressed I head out the door. Since I haven't eaten today I head to the same cafe I went to yesterday morning. Once I got my beverage and snack I head to Damon's house. Lucky I remembered where it was from yesterday. I knock on the door and wait. The door opens a few seconds later and Damon is standing there.

"Well about time sleeping beauty" came the response from Damon, I roll my eyes at the new nickname.

"Well considering I haven't eaten today I went out to get breakfast, since I knew you wouldn't have any food besides blood bags" I say

"Ahahaha I'm starting to like you and I hardly like anyone" Damon says

"I think that's because no one likes you, so now are you going to invite me in and tell me why I'm here?" I ask

"But of cause" Damon says and moves out of the way and let's me in, I walk to the living room area where I see stefan.

"Hi I'm stefan I know we never really introduced ourselves to each other yesterday" stefan says putting out his hand to shake in which I do.

"Ah yeah hi I'm Iris I saw you yesterday with Elena" I say I remember I had to go find him with Elena at the dance.

"I'm sorry you got dragged into this mess" Stefan says

"It's fine, although I originally came here to start fresh and get out of the supernatural world but I guess once your dragged in you can never get out of it for very long" I say

"I'm sorry" stefan says again

"Come on who wants a normal life anyway. Its so boring" Damon says

"I guess your right so what did you want that you got me here for?" I ask looking at Damon and stefan.

"Elena woke Elijah up, we need to dagger him again" said Damon

"Ok so for someone who is new to the group may need to know who this Elijah guy is" I say looking at them both. I mean seriously am I supposed to no who everyone is I only arrived yesterday.

"He's an original vampire who can't be killed" said stefan

"A vampire that can't die, that's new.... But didn't you say he was daggered, meaning he can be subdued?" I ask

"Wow smart and pretty I knew there was a reason why you are here" said Damon. I just rolled my eyes.

"There's a dagger as long as it stays in him he's dead" Stefan says

"So what you want my help in daggering him" I ask

"Well yes and no, there is also another original that we have to take out" said Damon who was pouring himself a drink.

"Klaus" was all I said, how can I forget him. He took over my history teacher.

"Ding ding we have a winner" said Damon sarcastically

"So what can I do to help I'm only human" I say I mean that is kinda true, I am a kitsune but I'm also human.

"Well considering you know what we are and you can't be compelled we have to make sure you don't say anything" said stefan

"My idea was to lock you up and wait for the vervain to leave your system or just kill you" Damon says finishing his drink

"And here I thought you wanted to be friends" I say back not really bothered that he wanted to kill me, I have had a lot of people want me and my mum dead. So it's nothing new.

Before Damon could reply stefan got a phone call, he left and came back with Jenna, he told us klaus was at the house, Stefan called Elena she came talked to Jenna and left again after Damon tries to make her stay. Soon after Damon and Stefan leave the room I was in and start arguing and Damon finally admits to Stefan that he loves Elena. Trying to set Damon straight about his feelings, Stefan tells Damon that he will never have Elena's respect. I'm not sure if they realise I can hear them talking. I hear the two begin to fight and before it can get any worse, I hear the door and see Elena come in with a guy which I can only guess is the original vampire Elijah.

"STOP" Elena yells, both brother stop fighting and look at her.

"What you've invited him in" said Damon.

"Elijah and I have made a new deal" says Elena

"The two of you will come to no harm at my hands.... I only ask for one thing in return" says Elijah.

"what" Damon says.

"An apology" was all Elijah said

"I'm sorry of the part I played in your death, I was protecting Elena, I will always protect Elena" says Stefan.

"I understand" says Elijah.

Elena looks at Damon.

"Sacrifice is going to happen Damon, Bonnie will be able to kill Klaus without hurting herself and Elijah knows how to save my life. I told you I will be able to find another way and I did." says Elena.

"is that true" asked Damon

"it is" was all Elijah said.

"And your trusting him" asked Damon to Elena.

"I am" she said

"you can go to hell" was all Damon said and left the room.

"He's angry with me right now but he'll come around" says Stefan.

"Maybe" was all Elijah.

" and me on the other hand had no part in your death" I say making myself known.

"And who might you be, your not on Elena's friends and family to protect" Elijah says to me.

"I'm Iris, I just moved here yesterday and just happen to get pulled into this mess" I say to him.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that, but I must say your taking it rather well knowing that the supernatural is real" he says.

"Ah yes the supernatural.... truth is I already knew about it for years now, once your in you stay in" I say.

"I'm sorry" Elijah says

"its fine, I'm fine, everything is fine" I say and leave, there's no reason for me to be here anymore.

~Elsewhere~

Back at Alaric's apartment, Katherine watches on as the two witches chant with a circle of candles around them. Moments later, the door to the largest container opens and the real Klaus walks forward.
