Prologue
"Find me Lucina... Come find me... I'm here... In the field... I'll be waiting..."
I woke up to no large noise or someone shaking me awake because of an attack in the middle of the night, But the ceiling of my bedroom, and light snoring beside me. I look the my left, to see the same smoke blue hair as I have, but shorter.
I then realized it was Morgan. Ever since Robin, ignored our wishes and made the final blow, she has become very attached to me. She always stayed with, Robin, calling him her father.
I can only wonder who her mother is... I stroked the sleeping teen's hair and watched her. She was at peace. Ylisse was at peace. And the world was finally safe from Grima's evil clutches. Yet, still.
We lost our tactian. We lost my father's closest friend. We lost someone I loved. I remember Morgan crying her eyes out when we told her...
-----~~~-----
We were back at Ylisse. In the castle, where Morgan stayed. Robin didn't want her to be harmed, nor did I. So we made her stay back at the castle with My Aunt, Lissa. I looked at the door to her room.
Then back at my father. I could see his eyes glistening with tears. I wiped a tear that fell, and took my hand back. "Don't cry father." I said. "We can-.. We will find him.. I know he's out there."
So, I bundled up all of my courage, and opened the door.
Morgan was lying on her bed, looking at the door upside down, with Lissa doing the same at her side.
"Lucina! Mr. Chrom! Father!" She exclaimed, returning to her upright position and walking up to us, while looking behind me and my father trying to find, Robin.
But she stopped in her tracks. "W-...where's.. Father?" I looked her in the eyes. She had the same brown eyes as Robin. They reminded me of him so much, I wanted to break out in tears right at that moment.
"I-... I'm sorry, Morgan..."
"S-.. S-Sorry..?"
I could see the exact moment the happiness in her eyes died. I could spot the second her heart shattered into a million pieces. I could see every memory of her and Robin flash in her mind.
It started with one tear. But she then started sobbing. I embraced her in my arms as she cried softly into my shoulder. "It's alright, Morgan..." I spat out, my voice hoarse and just above a whisper.
But I didn't cry. I couldn't.
I had to be strong, for Morgan's sake.
For my father's sake. For my Aunt's sake.
For Robin's sake.
-----~~~-----
I kissed Morgan's forehead and got out of bed, then went to my closet to get my armor on. I got my normal, Hero-King armor, and looked in the mirror. I could see a small glow, coming from the exalt in my left eye. Robin always said that he loved that the brand was in my eye. I always hated it. It was too hard to hide.
I then pulled up the covers on, Morgan, and walked downstairs. It's been about a week since I saw Robin disappear into thin air. It was a horrible sight to see, and I'm glad Morgan stayed behind at Ylisse. So that way she didn't see a glimpse what my future was like.
People always cowering in terror, Risen, everywhere you looked, having to fight every day, hour, minute, sometimes even second. It was hard to rest.
I walked out of my room and closed the door gently, hoping not to wake up Morgan. And walked down the long hallway of rooms to the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and greeted everyone who was there, before grabbing an apple and running off to the training grounds.
Not many others were there. Gaius was in the corner eating Candies, with Panne by his side. Panne said something, then I saw Gaius mumble something, then he shoved a lollipop into Panne's mouth.
I tried to muffle my laughter and get on with training. Why was I training you ask? Because. Who knows what creatures we could encounter on our search.
A/N: just a short little prologue chapter. I'll be uploading other chapters of this hopefully soon!
