Chapter 8: Potion Commotion
"BABY MORGAN!?"
Someone yelled. I felt arms wrapped around me and the grip tighten when someone yelled. I slowly opened my eyes to see the arms that were around me belonged to, Robin. Which of course made a light pink color appear on my cheeks.
He seemed to be staring at something with fear in his eyes. I looked over to where he was looking, to see a toddler with my blue hair, and, Robin's brown crystals. It was... Morgan..?
"Eh.. What?" I asked groggily. "M-M-Morgan!" Robin stammered as I looked up at him. I looked back at, "Morgan" who was holing onto Robin's pant leg crying.
I got out of Robin's arms and picked up Morgan, setting her on my lap. I let out a "hm" as I inspected her eyes to try and find the exalt. Sure enough, it was proudly imprinted on her right eye. "Oh no... What happened..?!"
I asked. She started to sob. "Crap." "Oh dear.. Uh, No! Don't start crying!" I said as an attempt to calm her down. But she wouldn't stop crying.
"Uh, she's probably scared.." Robin said from my left. "Hey..! It's okay! .. Uh.. And other friendly things I should say that I can't think of...!" Robin said, making me laugh. Morgan smiled through her tears, but the smile faded to tears again when she turned to look at me. "Okay, yeah, Robin you take her." I said, taking her off of my lap and setting her on, Robin's. Robin looked at but shocked at first, just staring at her for awhile, until he smiled.
"Aww, well aren't you a little cutie!" Robin said, almost squeezing the life out of her in a hug. Morgan let out a small laugh then sniffed. She looked back at me and wrapped her little arms around, Robin's torso looking as if she had seen a ghost. Robin's, eyes kept shifting from, Morgan, to me, to, Morgan, to me. Until it got a little awkward.
"Well, uh.. I should tell my father the news before he freaks out and jumps to... Conclusions, and also tries to kill you... Again" I said. Honestly, it didn't surprise me that she was afraid of me. Most children are. The only exception out of everyone is, Owain. Then again, he is my cousin... But still, my own child being afraid of me?
So I took the blanket I had wrapped around me and walked over to the woven bin that was in the bottom shelf of the room. Afterwards, I looked back at, Morgan and, Robin. Morgan was still crying while Robin was wiping off her tears with his finger, smiling. I did crack a small smile at that. But, Morgan must had seen me in the corner of her eye since she grabbed onto, Robin again and looked at me with pure fear framing her face.
I sighed as my smile faded as quickly as it came, and walked towards the door. I had my hand on the door handle before, Robin stopped me. "Wait...!" I turned to look at him, my hand still on the door handle. "I'm listening." "Uh.." I was guessing he spoke too soon. "Daddy, scary!" Morgan said, staring at me, still holding onto, Robin.
"No! Morgan, she isn't scary! She's, Mommy!" Robin said, failing at trying to calm her down. Morgan closed her eyes and shook her head. "I want a new mommy!" I could tell, Robin was shocked. But I just kept the dead expression I had before, just trying to not cry as the tears started welling up in my eyes. I sighed again and opened the door. "Wait! Lucina!" I didn't answer his calls. I didn't exactly care at that point, I just wanted to get out of there.
So I closed the door behind me, my hair covering my face, and just stared at the doorknob for awhile. Before walking down the hall to try and find, Father. It was quite easy to find him. He's always up early in the morning. "Hello, Father." I said, making him jump a bit. He turned around to look at me, as well as mother did from behind him.
"Good morning, sweetie!" Mother said smiling. "Good morning, mother." I said before redirecting my attention to my father. "Father... We, have.. A problem." I said. I saw his expression change and he tensed up a bit. "Oh...? How so?" He asked. "Well.. Morgan is, uh.. A child. Not a teenager, a child." "WAIT WHAT!? I AM GOING TO GO KILL THAT TACTICIAN!" "WAIT! Father, I think it was a potion." I said, stopping him before he could strangle, Robin. He groaned and sheathed the, Falchion. Before turning to me again. "Take me to her." I nodded and led him and, mother to the library. I took a deep breath and opened the door, to see, Robin talking to, Morgan about something I didn't hear.
He looked up from, Morgan while I hid behind my parents to keep her from freaking out. "Whoa.." My father said under his breath. "She... Is.. Absolutely, adorable!" My mother exclaimed. She ran over to the two and gave, Morgan a hug, squeezing the life out of her. "Aww! Give, grandma a hug!" Me and father just looked at each other from the corner of our eyes, very confused. "Uh, Sumia." My father said. "You are too adorable, Morga-" "SUMIA." My mother cleared her throat and let go of, Morgan. "Uh, right.." Morgan looked over at, father, which of course led her to look at me and start to freak out and cry. She grabbed onto, Robin again and stared at me while she cried. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Uh... Is that the problem?" Mother asked. "No, the problem is, is that she is four." I said. My father looked at me with a face that said, "are you sure?" And I replied with a simple nod.
".. What were you two doing here so early in the morning?" My mother asked. "Well, Lucina almost was k-" "nothing. I just got up to read a book in the middle of the night and didn't go to sleep." I said, stopping, Robin from telling them what really happened. "Ok.. Well then, Robin what were you doing here so early?" My father asked, looking a bit more stern. "Uh, same thing." Robin said with a cheeky smile. My mother looked confused. "So you both just.. Were reading books all night?" She asked. "Well actually-" "yes." I cut, Robin off. Father looked skeptical, but he nodded and mother led him out. I held my breath until they were out.
I let out a long sigh and was breathing heavily until I caught my breath."W-why didn't you let me tell them?" Robin asked from behind me. I didn't bother to turn around to face him yet. "They don't need to know. My father already has enough on his hands. I'm not even his real daughter, so I shouldn't bother him with this." I said. I didn't exactly know where that big outburst of depression came from, but honestly, it felt good to get that out. "What?!" I turned back around to, Robin. He was standing up with, Morgan in his arms, while she was looking more terrified by the minute.
I started to feel dizzy, and my vision was going blurry. There it was again. A burning sensation. It started at my stomach, stretching to all over my torso and climbing to my arms and legs. "Lu..na is ev... Oka..?" His voice was spotty and fading in and out, but I could still hear, Robin ask me if I was alright. I felt my legs give out and I fell onto my knees, holding my head. It was hurting more than usual. I let out a small whimper as it slowly crawled up my neck, making mew burns. I cursed loudly and screamed a little before it finally stopped and I regained my senses. I had my eyes shut tight and I was breathing heavily.
I felt arms wrapped around me and I heard a voice, yet I couldn't make out any words, or recognize the voice. Until my ears started to ring, then all I heard was the sentence, "it's okay.." Repeated by, Robin. I opened my eyes slightly, to see, Robin was holding onto me and had his head on my shoulder while I did the same to him. I looked up at, Morgan to see her face was drained of color and she was staring at us from a few feet away. This is going to take some explaining...
AY! DOWN HERE!!
Keep on writing, Lexie!

"How am I going to explain this to, Morgan...?!" I thought as I helped, Lucina sit down. I looked over at, Morgan to see her face was drained of color and she was staring at us. I turned back to, Lucina. Her eyes were wide and she was breathing heavily while sweat fell down her cheek. I grabbed her hand and took her pulse... And I may or may not had looked at her engagement ring I gave to her.. What!? She's my fiancé!
Her heart was beating fast and her breathing wouldn't slow. "It's alright, Lucina. It's all over now.." I said, wrapping my arms around her. She was having cold sweats, poor thing.. "D-daddy..? Wh-what just happened?" Morgan asked, slowly walking up to us. Lucina put her hand out to her, and Morgan stepped back and stared at it for awhile. But she soon took her hand and, Lucina pulled her onto her lap. "What happened?! I'm scared!" Morgan said, now crying.
"Hey! Shhh.. It's okay.. Shh.. It's okay, baby.. " Lucina said. I had never seen her be so... Motherly, I guess you could say.
"Shhh.. Mommy's right here.. I'm right here." Morgan buried her face into, Lucina's shoulder as she held her up a bit so she could reach it. "What happened mama!" Morgan asked, taking her face out of, Lucina's shoulder to face her with tears eyes.
Lucina wiped some of the tears off of, Morgan's cheeks and combed out her hair with her fingers. "I'm scared mommy..." Morgan said. "Hey, it's okay, Momo." I said, smiling to hopefully make her feel better. "Is mommy okay?" Lucina smiled and nodded. "I'm alright."
"How about we go get some, Brekfast, okay?" I said, trying to make, Morgan return to her normal happy self. Morgan nodded and I took her off of, Lucina's lap and stood up. I turned around and grabbed, Lucina's hand, shocking her a little, but I was pretty sure she'd need help. She looked at me with her eyes a bit wider than normal, and I smiled at her. And she returned it.
I pulled her up and she lost her balance a little and leaned against me. I blushed a little, but when she was still regaining her balance, I kissed her head just for fun.. And to make her blush more than she probably already was. She stood back up and her face was extremely red. "Mission, Accomplished!" I thought to myself as I smiled at her Apple-face.
She huffed and looked away, earning a chuckle from me. "At least I don't looked like a cherry with ice cream on top.." She mumbled, making me turn light pink... Oh, who am I kidding, I was probably just as red as she was..
"Daaddyyyyyy!" Morgan said, tugging on my pajama shirt. "I know, Momo, let's go get something to eat, okay?" Morgan nodded. "Okay let's go." I started walking towards the door, but stopped when I realized, Lucina wasn't by my side. "Coming..?" She shook her head.
"No, I need to find out how this happened." I sighed, but then I got an idea. "Momo, I have an idea to get, Mommy come to brekfast." I whispered. Morgan smiled and nodded her head violently. I told her the plan, put her down and walked over to, Lucina. She was about to run away, but I grabbed her, and picked her up bridal style.
Morgan grabbed my leg and sat on my foot as I walked to the door. SHE IS TOO ADORABLE THIS TINY!
"GAH! ROBIN! WHAT THE-" "Morgan's 4! No cursing!" "... Oops.."
