Jungkook groaned, rubbing his palm over his face, evidently disgruntled. Studying, studying, studying. Although he wouldn't go out of his way to actually revising his school subjects, it seemed like piles of his slightly torn homework and his messy reference books resurfaced back on his desk. He did ask for help, but not for an obnoxious tutor who constantly whacked him in the head.

Adding on to that, he couldn't shake the fact that Lisa Manoban downright rejected him. For the rest of day he was trying to figure out and identify the flaws in his tactic. Could it be because she was actually loyal to her boyfriend?

Interesting...

Per usual, Jungkook enlightened Jisoo with important facts about the laws of attraction, not scientific laws of attractions obviously. To be honest she found some tips helpful and reasonable, but some of them made her feel like throwing up. Sitting in the back corner of the school library, he had eyed her weirdly when she began jotting down every sentence he said down on her notebook as if she was listening to a lecture and taking notes. Which wasn't exactly wrong, but Jungkook snickered at how serious she was taking it.

"So you're saying boys like natural scents?" Tapping the tip of her pen on the table as she thought hard, Jisoo cocked her head. "Like fruits?"

Memories of scents he had smelt from the girls he used to surround himself with wafted by, and he shook his head. "Something that's fresh and not too sweet. Just anything that's not too heavy and sweet, because it's going to make Kim Taehyung's tiny puny brain dizzy."

"Shut up," she mumbled, then proceeded to finish writing down everything and reviewing it afterwards in satisfaction. "Anything else you think I should do to get his attention?"

"Honestly, you shouldn't really change anything," he frowned. Now thinking about it, it was kind of strange of changing yourself just to get your crush to notice you. Maybe it was just because he always had girls after him and he didn't need to really do anything, but for him it still felt uneasy and... sad that she was willing to change all her bad parts for just one boy.

She arched a brow and guffawed. "What do you mean? Obviously I have to."

Not knowing what to say, he just left the topic awkwardly. Refraining himself to say anything he might regret later on, Jungkook pulled out his Science reference book and plopped it on the table. "Anyways, there's an upcoming test for Science and I didn't pay attention to the teacher."

"Why?" She grunted tiredly and glowered at him. "There's a reason why we have teachers at school, to listen to what they're saying. Not to doze off or, I don't know, ogle at other girls."

"But the teachers make everything sound more boring than they are," he drawled out lazily, extending his arms over the table and lying his head on his arm. "It's easier to learn from you."

For some reason, hearing that felt a bit like a compliment. Jisoo bit her lip, ignoring the warm knot in her stomach. "Oh," she popped, then tore her gaze away from her notebook to glance at him with a small smirk. "Am I a good teacher?"

Rivaling her smirk, he propped his chin and nodded slyly. "The best. But you know, there's some things you could still learn from me."

"Like?" she trailed off, waiting for him to reply.

Jungkook watched her for a moment, his heart beat gradually increasing as he stared at her plump parted lips. Licking at his bottom lip quickly, he cursed himself internally to get a grip on himself. Their gaze met, however his eyes were no longer soft. He didn't know why, but the sudden curiosity and deep-rooted desire took over him as he slowly lifted his head from the table, leaning to her hesitantly. He stopped, the tips of his ears turned red, returning to his original position.

Bemused and slightly unsure what he was doing, Jisoo's eyes were brimmed with questions and she crossed her arms over her chest. "Excuse me, you were treading my boundaries." With her finger she traced an imaginary line over the space between herself and Jungkook and glared at him, scrunching up her nose. "Jeon, what the hell were you doing?"

He swallowed, and unlike his usual self he was at a loss of words. "I," he started awkwardly, as he rubbed his neck, "was trying to kiss you."

"Again?" She groaned and kicked him away. "You need to stop creeping up on me out of nowhere and go near my face. Also, we're not getting to the point where I have to learn kissing, so keep your lips to yourself." She sighed, "How do people deal with you?"

"Because I'm naturally handsome?" Jungkook shot a smug smirk at her and winked obnoxiously. Unexpectedly, a small amused smile tugged at her lips and without thinking twice a laugh escaped from her mouth. Her eyes crinkled as her mouth flew to her mouth, trying to hold in the contagious chuckle.

He leaned back on his seat, cracking a grin. "Did the sun just come out or is Kim Jisoo actually laughing? Because of me?" Jungkook had to admit, her laughter was strange to hear, but at the same time... really cute.

"Oh shut up," she rolled her eyes, but a ghost of a smile was still on her face as she looked back at her textbook. "I was just thinking of something funny and it happened to be at the moment you said that." Jisoo glared at him. "Don't read too much in it."

"Whatever you sayyy," he teased playfully like a child. While she was immersed in the book, he turned around and pumped his fist for some reason, a small victory dance playing. Kim Taehyung, you can suck a dick.

Restraining herself, she decided to refocus her concentration on their studies and highlighted some important parts from his textbook. Pointing to the emphasized sentences, she began saying, "According to Newton's laws of gravitation..."

Hours flew by and eventually it came to the last class of the day. Flurries of giggles arose when a group of sweaty slicked back boys entered the classroom, apologizing to the teacher for being late, probably getting lost as they were playing basketball in the court. White shirts messily buttoned up and red ties not properly around his collar, the boys went back to their respective seats with the female population looking at their sweaty form in awe. However Jisoo scrunched her nose. It was weird to look at. Maybe it was hot for other girls but to her it was just not clean.

"As most of you know, the school's next basketball game is coming up in a few weeks. The school board has decided to host a fundraiser along with it, so all students are required to participate in the events." Mr. Choi clapped his hands. "We have some volunteers for the events, but not a lot from this class. If you're interested in pitching in, there's a signing sheet outside of the library."

His kind gaze landed on Jisoo and motioned for her to stand up. "Jisoo, you along with two other students are assigned to be in charge of the campaign. Please meet us in the library after class."

A few students offered their congratulations to her and she nodded politely, but most were rolling their eyes, not too surprised that the teachers would choose her. Again her head turned to Taehyung's direction, wanting to know his reaction, and the butterflies erupted once more when she caught a glimpse of his boxy smile and a thumbs up directed at her. Jisoo quickly looked away, embarrassed but pleased.

And with that, class went by like a breeze and she strode out of the classroom with her bag slung behind her shoulder. Upon arriving to the library two unfamiliar girls caught her eye. They were the only students in the library and were sitting on a table. One of the girls waved her hand wildly at her while the other girl offered a small smile.

Hesitant at first, she approached the table and sat on a chair across them. Before she could even start, the girl who had been so eager to welcome her began chirping, "Hello, I'm Yeri! Are you also in charge of the fundraiser? I'm so excited to get started, I mean, I love basketball and I have two older brothers who like playing basketball too-"

"Yeri, at this point she's going to be scared," the other girl whispered urgently, then faced Jisoo apologetically. "I'm sorry, this girl over here is a weirdo. I'm Jihyo. You?"

"Jisoo," she replied simply. Uncertain what else to say, she looked around, wondering where the teacher was. Thankfully to save them from any more awkwardness, Mr. Choi arrived with a big smile.

"Girls! Thank you for being here." He took a seat and looked at all of them. "Three of you will be working together for the fundraiser and making sure that it goes well. We're giving you a hundred percent responsibility in choosing what booths to have or what else can get more funds."

"Where will the funds go?" Jihyo had already whipped out her phone to take notes, and Jisoo did the same, while Yeri took out a sketchbook.

"Good question. 90% of the funds will be going to children who are living in unfortunate conditions, and the remaining will be used to improve the school facilities."

"Wait, so if this event goes well, we can finally get rid of that disgusting smell from the girls' toilet?" Yeri squealed and groaned in relief. "Finally! I can't pee properly when I keep smelling that smelly odor-"

"Continue please," Jihyo winced, clamping a mouth over Yeri's mouth.

"Mr. Choi, are we going to be given a budget for setting up the booths and decoration?" Jisoo prompted.

"The school will be providing a sufficient amount of money to assist, so you won't have to worry about it. There's about 54 student volunteers, so make sure that the campaign will run successfully."

After a few more minutes of questions and confirmations, the teacher looks at his watch and smiles sheepishly. "Sorry, girls, I have to get home now. You three may exchange numbers. I'll send a list of the volunteers and you three will host meetings every Friday and Tuesday."

With that the teacher walks out of the library, leaving the three girls to themselves. Scanning over her notes, Jisoo looked up and decided to discuss further with the two girls. "What if we put a price to the basketball game tickets? Make it affordable for the students."

Yeri clapped her hands like a seal. "That's good! Also, what if we set up food booths? It'll be great for the audience and also might get them to stay longer during the basketball game. Lemonade and other fresh treats."

"It's going to be hot that day," Jihyo informed, checking the weather forecast. "So we should have refreshments. Lemonade like Yeri said, fruit punch, and chips maybe? Nothing that will make the students' stomach uneasy."

"We could ask the food club," Yeri suggested. "They're really good at making homemade food and drinks, and I have several friends who joins the club."

Jihyo grinned at Yeri and patted her at the back. "We're lucky that you have good connections." She turned to Jisoo with a grin. "Hey, I haven't got your number yet."

Fumbling with her phone, Jisoo showed her phone number to Jihyo and Yeri. "Cool," Jihyo mused. "See you guys tomorrow!"

Quickly, Jisoo picked up her bags and left the library before Yeri could babble and rant about anything. That girl could talk, like literally. At least she wasn't stuck with anyone who hated her guts. Sighing, she makes her way out of the school, longing to get home and eat something before she starves.

"Ms. Kim, may I enter your room?"

With her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose and her long black hair swept up into a long ponytail, she spun around and called out, "Yes, you may Sungjae." The butler curtly bowed after opening the door and straightened his back.

"Ms. Kim, your mother is caught up in a lawsuit abroad, so she wants me to inform you that your sister will be in charge of the house," Sungjae informed. Sighing, she placed down her pen and flipped close her book, politely nodding at Sungjae.

"Thank you," she mumbled. With another polite bow, the family butler left her bedroom and Jisoo slumped in her seat. She ignored the pit in her stomach and turned back to her homework. Five more worksheets and she would have time to study for her other tests.

Her whole body jumped, startled, when she heard a loud knock. Swerving around in alert, her heartbeat started beating fast, uncertain what happened. There was nothing. Maybe it's just the noise in the kitchen, she thought, trying to convince herself that there wasn't any paranormal activities going on. She contemplated whether she should call for Irene, but she didn't want to look like a scaredy cat in front of her sister.

So instead of going to get her sister, she sat there.

And held back a scream when she saw a rock hitting against her window and jumped five feet away from it.

Jisoo ran towards her window, sliding it open and properly parting the silky curtains, before her jaw dropped as she saw what or rather who was below her.

"Jeon, you better have a good reason as to why you're outside of my house before I call on my butler to whack you in the head."
