11: Reunion and Resolutions

Aisha was on her way to the airport, a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbling inside her. The Bali wedding was a massive project, and the collaboration with Ryan, despite their past, had been surprisingly smooth. As she navigated through the bustling traffic, her phone buzzed with a call from an unknown number.

"Hello, this is Aisha," she answered, expecting it to be a vendor or a last-minute by change from the client.

"Hi, Aisha," came a voice she recognized instantly.

"Misha? Is that you?" Aisha's heart skipped a beat.

"Yes, it's me," Misha replied, her voice tinged with both relief and sadness. "I've been through a lot these past few months. I went back home to Kashmir to stay with my family. Our home is up in the hills with no network, so I was practically cut off from the world. And then... I lost my dad."

Aisha felt a lump in her throat. "I'm so sorry, Misha. You should have told me."

"I know," Misha said softly. "But I needed time to grieve and to be with my family. After staying with them for more than six months, I thought it was time to return to work."

Aisha took a deep breath. "I'm actually heading to Bali for a wedding to plan. Would you like to join me? It could be a fresh start."

Misha hesitated. "I'd love to, Aisha, but... what about Veer? And Amrita?"

Aisha's tone softened. "There's no Amrita in the picture anymore. It's a long story, but Veer and Amrita called off the wedding."

Misha's heart pounded. "I'll meet you in Bali, but I need to see Veer first."

"That's a good idea," Aisha agreed. "You need to talk to him and clear the air."

That evening, Misha stood outside Veer's apartment, her heart in her throat. She had no idea how he would react, but she knew she had to try. She knocked on the door, and after a few moments, it swung open. Veer stood there, looking tired and worn, with dark circles under his eyes and a rough beard shadowing his face.

His eyes widened in shock as he saw Misha. Before she could say anything, he slammed the door shut.

"Veer, please let me explain!" Misha called out, her voice breaking. But Veer refused to budge.

Misha sighed and leaned her forehead against the door. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to seek Veer's forgiveness and try to win him over again.

Meanwhile, in another part of the world, Amrita and Aman were struggling to balance their hectic work schedules with their rekindled relationship. Aman had a layover in Dubai before catching a flight to London. He checked into the hotel booked by his company, exhausted from the relentless pace of work. The airline had recently expanded its routes, and the increased workload was taking a toll on him.

Aman loosened his tie and called room service to order some food. Within minutes, there was a knock on the door.

"That was quick," he thought, opening it.

To his surprise, there stood Amrita in her uniform, one of his favorite outfits on her. Before he could say a word, she slammed her lips against his, pushing him back into the room and shutting the door behind her.

"Quick, I have to leave for the airport in 15 minutes," she muttered between kisses.

Aman wasted no time. He unbuckled her pants, his fingers grazing her core. She was already wet, a testament to how much she craved him. He teased her for a moment before unbuckling his own pants.

Not breaking the kiss, he lifted her and set her on the high table. In seconds, he was inside her, moving with a fierce intensity that reflected their mutual longing. Soft moans escaped her lips as he drove them both toward a swift, powerful climax.

Just as they both reached their peak, Aman whispered, "Just what I needed," his breath hot against her ear.

"I missed you," Amrita mumbled, still breathless.

She quickly got dressed, giving Aman one last kiss before rushing out to catch her flight. Aman watched her leave, his body still humming from their encounter. He knew he wanted more, but for now, he was content with the time they had stolen together.

Soon after boarding the flight, Aisha took a sip of her champagne, she felt a sense of contentment. The past few months had been tough, but the upcoming Bali wedding had reminded her why she loved her job. It had also shown her that sometimes, collaboration could lead to something extraordinary.

She still didn't know what the future held, but for now, she was grateful for this moment of success and the promise of new beginnings.
