Eisuke - Seven
Wandering around the main lobby, I watched as people walked in and out of the main entrance. I wonder when these people are going to find out? I think about how I'm the only daughter of the Eisuke Ichinomiya. I can't believe I've never searched him up before, he is so famous.
"Akemi...." I hear a soft voice from behind, I don't jump into action this time and just mildly turn around to see Ayden. He's wearing a very warm smile.
"Where do you come out from..?" I ask jokingly, he seems to always be there wherever I am in the hotel. I can feel my features soften, this guy gives people a relaxed feeling
"Can we talk? Like, somewhere else?" he asked attentively.
As he brought me up to the rooftop of the building, I grinned, "Remember the first time I saw you?"
He had a fascinated look on his face as he watched me. I noticed and lowered my head, did I have an idiotic expression? My long hair fell down covering my face, and before I saw it, the side of his index finger was under my chin. And his other hand swiped my hair behind my ear. He guided my head up.
"Akemi...what's y--" he began, but I interrupted.
Shaking off his hand, I stare at him in shock--not anger--and took a step back. I had NEVER let someone touch me other than family. Ayden was a complete stranger in this case.
"O-oh, sorry..." he took back his hand, but lifted it up after two seconds. I guess I didn't understand what he was trying to do, I took another small step back.
Why am I still here? I think as he quickly pulled his arm back again. Why aren't I getting away from here or hitting him? And most importantly, I only felt surprised, not angered.
I thought about all the previous boys who tried to flirt with me and went too far. They all ended up in the hospital or a therapist. I knew my way around in a fight, making them feel extreme pain yet not forming any bruises so there was no evidence to incriminate me.
When we both settled down, he started talking again, "Akemi?"
"Yeah?"
"I don't even know your full name, yet."
"Neither do I know yours," I say back. I don't give out information that easily.
He sighed. I see he now understands how I go. "Okay, I'm Ayden Hart." he intended to stop there, but I urged him to elaborate.
He thought for a moment, and continued: "I was born in a pretty wealthy family, my mom and dad divorced. Tadashi Matsuura is my distant uncle...." he paused for a while as if thinking over if he should've said that.
By this time, we were sitting beside each other at the edge of the roof, legs dangling. I know it's really 'dangerous', but as I said before. Danger can go to hell.
"Please continue," I say in a gentle voice. I can feel myself absorbing the information, and I felt the urge to know more about him.
"Well...I'm good with machines, and locks." he paused again, "and, that's basically it."
Desperately, he turned to me. I can see from his eyes that he's saying 'your turn'.
I organized my thoughts. Some I can tell and some I can't. I started, "My mom raised me on her own. My dad was never with her. Um... let's just say I just met my father a few days ago. He's a very good person, I'm glad I have a dad like him. He's..."
Just as I'm struggling wether or not should I tell Ayden my father is Eisuke Ichinomiya, my phone rang in my pocket. I send him an apologetic gaze before getting up and answering.
"Dad's asking me to go back, it's getting late," I said after I hung up, glancing at the phone screen, it was nearly nine.
He nodded, but before we could part ways at the lobby, he asked again, "Where are you staying at?"
The elevator already arrived, I quickly replied before I went in. "Penthouse suite."
He put an arm between the doors and said in a hurry. "Can I have your phone number?"
He smiled kindly at me. The next thing I knew I held out my phone. We exchanged numbers. He backed off and waved me goodbye: "Good night, Akemi."
And the penthouse elevator door closed between us.
Ayden's POV
I never intended to tell more than a little of my childhood. But I realize what I was saying after I already said it. Akemi is a powerful girl. She can lure the words out of your mouth before you know what you're saying.
After I see the elevator go up to the top floor, I just realized: I still didn't know her full name. It only shows her first name in her contact info, as well. She's so secretive.
Walking on the streets back home, I thought it over.
Then, I got a phone call, from uncle. Now he wants me to spy on Eisuke's suite?! I thought after the call ended. But that's an invasion of privacy itself. He could get in serious trouble for this.
A small chime sounded signalling I got a text. Uncle sent me the schedule of the next I.V.C., which was four days from now. He suspects that Tres Spades is doing something. He always does.
Last time he was suspicious that they hid bombs in their storage rooms or something, and had me check through every one of them. And of course I found nothing. Cuz Tres Spades isn't doing anything wrong!
It chimed again. A bit annoyed, I look at the screen only to find it was Akemi's text.
"Hey, can you be at the casino at 2 pm tmr?"
I replied without a thought: "of course."
She didn't need to respond again for me to know that she wanted to meet me there.
