chapter twenty four, this love came back to me

          Miguel never responded to Izzy's text and it irked Izzy more than she thought it would. This was his way of confirming he didn't want anything to do with her–that was all Izzy could think. She was overthinking, getting lost in her own thoughts and the 'what if's' floating around in her mind.

         The three girls stood in the backyard of the LaRusso house, all three of them quiet as they waited for the boys to show up. Tory tried to reassure Izzy that Miguel was still going to show up either way, because Robby or Hawk would drag him along, but Izzy was still surprised when they got here and Miguel walked in with the three other boys.

          Izzy stood up from the wall of the house she was leaning on, her eyes on Miguel as they walked over to the girls.

         "Tory?" Hawk spoke up, a confused expression coming across his face when he processed that Tory was standing with Izzy and Sam.

Miguel's eyes met with Izzy's as he stood beside the girl, but Izzy built up enough courage to respond instead of staying quiet. "I honestly didn't think you would come." She admitted to the boy.

"You told me to come, so I did," Miguel smiled softly and shrugged a little bit, like it was supposed to be obvious that he would drop everything if she needed his help.

          Izzy had to look away, glancing down to hide the smile that tried to find its way onto her lips. It quickly disappeared when she remembered that she was supposed to be mad at him, after deleting his voicemail right in front of him, plus their situation with Cobra Kai, so her attention turned to Sam who spoke up.

"We think we have a way to prove that it was Silver who assaulted Stingray." Sam explained.

A sigh left Izzy's lips as she nodded, "Silver had security cameras installed at the old dojo. If the attack happened there–"

"It would be all on tape." Miguel had finished her sentence, earning a look from Izzy who nodded at his words, eyeing the others standing in the circle.

          Robby shook his head, "But that place was cleaned out." He reminded them.

          "That might not matter," Demetri spoke up, all eyes shifting to him, "The systems that we sell at TechTown all save the footage to a central server. When Silver moved out, he probably took the whole system." The boy told the group.

         Tory was quick to add on, "I think he did. There's a server in his office at the flagship dojo." She admitted.

          "If we have access to it, we can find that footage. We could even post that Stingray clip to their YouTube channel." Hawk suggested, a smile on his lips like he had just thought of the best idea.

          Izzy smiled a little bit as she pointed to Hawk, "I like the way you think." She told him. "We need to tell everyone else–Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang."

          Her words earned a nod from Sam, "Let them know we're taking down Cobra Kai tonight." The LaRusso girl told the group standing in a circle.

After telling the others from the dojos to meet them at the Cobra Kai dojo, the group left Sam's house and got there before anyone else could. They took separate cars, but met up in the parking lot, the group walking to the main entrance of the flagship dojo.

          Robby led the way for the group, "If it's the same alarm system, I should be able to bypass it." He spoke loud enough for them to hear as they reached the stairs that led up to the entrance of the dojo.

          "Spoken like a man that's done this before." Demetri stated, one hand holding onto the strap of the backpack he brought.

          The Keene boy shrugged, "Karate wasn't my first hobby. I fractured a law or two before we met." Robby responded just as the others from the dojo made it and were walking up to them.

         "Or we could just scan my key card," Tory suggested, holding up the card in her hand, but then she looked at Robby. "So that those of us on probation keep from, you know, violating it."

          Izzy looked over as the other students from the dojo joined them, Chris apologizing for being late and putting the blame on Mitch. However, Nate was quick to notice Tory's presence and question her involvement– "What's she doing here?"

"Chill out. She's on our side." Izzy spoke up, glancing over at Tory.

"For what we're about to do at least." Sam corrected.

Mitch stood in between Hawk and Chris, looking at the group that had texted them all to show up. "So, what are we doing? All your text says is that we're gonna take down Cobra Kai, but how exactly?" Mitch questioned.

"We're gonna show them who their sensei really is. We think we have proof he's a criminal," Miguel explained.

"And a psychopath." Izzy added on.

Sam looked at the rest of the boys that had just arrived, "We're going upstairs to Silver's office. We need you downstairs as lookout." She instructed.

When Tory got them access to the inside using the key card, half of the group stayed on the first floor while Tory led the others up to Silver's office. Izzy observed the large office and the large snake that was painted on the wall behind Silver's desk. Demetri and Hawk began hooking everything up to start their plan just as Hawk was explaining what they were doing.

          "Okay, so pulling the Stingray clip off of the server is first day of computer camp shit, then we upload the clip to the YouTube channels and Cobra Kai is out of business." Hawk spoke into the quiet room.

         Izzy pressed her palms down to rest against the wooden table, watching as Demetri and Hawk worked together with the computer on Silver's desk. She anxiously bit down on her bottom lip, eyeing the computer screen to see what the two boys were doing.

Hawk glanced up from looking at the computer scene, "Your hovering is annoying." He said to the girl.

She sent him a look, furrowing her eyebrows. "You're annoying." She retaliated, hearing Hawk let out a laugh at her comeback.

         "Are you not scared what Silver will think of you after this?" Demetri spoke up, earning a look from the Vera girl.

         "Yeah, like I give a shit what that psycho thinks," Izzy scoffed, "Here's to hoping he ends up in jail. Besides, Miyagi-Do for life, right?" The girl said to both Hawk and Demetri.

         A smile appeared on Hawk's lips as he nodded, "Hell yeah." He held up his fist to Izzy, indicating he wanted a fist bump, and Izzy smiled to herself as she raised her fist to bump with Hawk's who drew his arm back and mimicked an explosion.

         The smile stuck to her lips as Demetri got them back on track, "Okay, so Stingray's assault happened after prom." Demetri announced, leaning over to scroll through the computer as he stood next to Hawk.

The mention of prom caused Izzy's smile to slowly fade as her mind was flooded with memories. She had glanced over at Miguel, who was already looking at her, and a sigh left Izzy's lips as she was the first to look away.

         Izzy then turned to look at Tory, "I'll be right back. Let me know when you find that clip." She told the girl who nodded, watching Izzy walk out of the room.

Izzy wasn't quite sure where she was going, but she needed to be by herself to think, because she couldn't focus on taking Silver down when Miguel was the only thing clouding her mind. All she needed was to just sit somewhere and sort out her thoughts so that the girl could set her mind on what they were here for.

         The girl had made it halfway down the hallway before she heard the door open to Silver's office back where she came from and someone come out, walking after her. Izzy didn't bother to turn around and see who it was, because she was too focused on finding a bathroom or something to just sit down.

"Izzy," Miguel's voice called out and it made Izzy stop, closing her eyes for a second as a sigh left between her lips.

Her eyes opened and she turned to face the boy who was walking up to her. Izzy looked tired, like she didn't want to deal with another fight. She was tired of being angry, and scared, and heartbroken.

"What now, Miguel?" Izzy questioned. The boy looked nervous and he was, it felt like his heart was about to drop to his stomach any second as he stayed quiet. "I really don't want to–"

         Miguel quickly cut her off, "I love you," He blurted out and Izzy felt herself freeze as she looked at him.

"That's what I said in the voicemail. I said that it'll always be you, because I love you." His voice was shaky as he now stood in front of Izzy, a few feet of space in between them.

         The girl was trying to process what he had just poured out of his mouth, but Izzy's began to beat faster than normal, and it felt like there was a lump that formed in her throat to stop her from talking. She could hear her heartbeat and Izzy kept her eyes on the, but the silence just left room for Miguel to keep going.

         "I've loved you since the night at Nina's party and then we kissed in your room and you told me to forget about it, but I didn't care, because I was in love with you. I am in love with you, Isobel." Miguel confessed, watching a smile form on Izzy's lips when she heard him use her full name.

          Miguel kept going, though, because he has so much to say. "I love everything about you. I always have. I love how confident you are in yourself, especially in karate. I love how you always act so tough, because I know how caring and soft you actually are. I love those cardigans you wear that are always a little too oversized for you. I love when I look at you and you're already staring at me. I love hearing you laugh, because sometimes you snort a little bit without realizing it. I love watching you fight–you bounce on your feet, like at the All Valley, and it's the cutest fucking thing. I love when you're nervous, when you ramble and don't know when to shut up."

Tears had formed in Izzy's eyes, not hesitating to let a few slip down her cheeks, having to look away from the boy as her hand came up to wipe them away. She looked at Miguel who seemed to be just as emotional, but he was better at holding it in at this moment.

          "And–and I love how you always keep me coming back to you, because I don't want to be with anyone else. I want to hold your hand again, I want to kiss you in front of all of our stupid friends, I want to sneak over to see you again, I just want you. I want you now, and tomorrow, and next week, and next month, and.. even forever, if you let me." Miguel rambled, shrugging a little bit as a deep breath left his lips.

Although her vision was blurry from her own tears, Izzy could tell Miguel had let a few tears slip from his eyes as well. He was serious about this—he was in love with her, just as much as she was with him, and Izzy finally knew that.

"And I'm so sorry for not being there for you these past few weeks, I'm sorry for picking fights, I'm sorry for not listening, I'm sorry for being an asshole earlier tonight when you told me about Riley." Miguel spewed out the apologies, "Izzy, I– please say something so I can shut up."

         Izzy smiled, blinking away the tears just to wipe them from her face and a content sigh left her lips. She stared at Miguel for a second, trying to figure out the right thing to say after he had just confessed all of that. Izzy was still trying to process the fact he said 'I love you' first thing.

         "I love you too," Izzy's voice cracked, smiling softly at the boy. "And I'm really sorry too, for everything. It's just scary. It's really fucking scary how much I love you, I don't even know how to deal with it sometimes, but I–I don't want it to be anyone else. I want to be with you, just you." Izzy admitted to him.

          "And I'm.. I'm okay with forever, if it's with you." Izzy then told him, and that was enough for Miguel to let out a relieved sigh and took a few steps closer to Izzy, grabbing both sides of her face and pulling her closer to have their lips meet.

         Izzy didn't hesitate to kiss him back, her hands coming up to wrap around his wrists so that he kept his hands attached to her face. There was a certain passion in the kiss that neither of them recognized, almost like it was confirming that it's them. No matter how hard they can try to pull away from each other, they'll always find their way back to each other.

          Neither of them wanted to pull away, both forgetting why they had come to Cobra Kai in the first place, but that's a problem they could worry about in a few minutes. Right now, their focus was on each other.

          They both eventually pulled away, though, but Miguel kept his hands cupping the sides of Izzy's face as they looked at each other–both of them smiling like idiots while fighting the tears they both still had in their eyes.

         "I'd really like it if you were my boyfriend again," Izzy whispered, feeling Miguel's thumb rub against her cheek to wipe away a tear or two that rolled her face.

         "Well, lucky for you, I'd really like it if you were my girlfriend again." Miguel responded, his smile growing a little bit wider the moment Izzy's did when she heard his words.

        A sigh left Izzy's lips, "Then I guess we're boyfriend and girlfriend again." She announced, taken aback a little bit when Miguel responded with him leaning down to attach his lips to hers once again.

         Izzy didn't hesitate to kiss him back again, but this time the kiss didn't last too long, because the sound of Chris calling for someone interrupted them. They both pulled away, looking at each other before Izzy turned to look behind her and so did Miguel, both of them quiet.

         They heard a door open down the hall and both Miguel and Izzy looked back to see Sam looking out at them. "What was that?" She questioned.

Izzy stepped away from Miguel, but then grabbed ahold of his hand, and looked over at Sam. "Come on," Izzy said loud enough for Sam to hear, the girl turning to pull Miguel with her, and Sam quickly followed after the two.

         Izzy led the way until they had a staircase that looked out into the main room of the dojo, the three of them observing the large group of Cobra Kai students standing in the middle of the dojo across from the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang teenagers. They came out just in time to see Kenny in front of the Cobra Kai students, but he had kicked Anthony to the floor and Bert was helping him up.

          Sam pushed her way past Izzy and Miguel who followed after her, the LaRusso girl going straight to her little brother to help him to his feet. Izzy and Miguel stood in the front, the girl looked over at Sam helping Anthony up, and at the Cobra Kai students. There was Kenny, and Devon, and Kyler, even Evan, but then Izzy saw Riley and she tensed up a little bit when the girl met her eyes and smiled at Izzy.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" Izzy asked, looking over at Anthony and then back at the Cobra Kai kids.

A laugh left Riley's lips, sharing a look with Kyler before looking back at Izzy. "I guess the traitor has some things to say. Oh, how's your arm by the way?" Riley asked in an obviously fake concerned tone, pointing to the visible scar on Izzy's arm.

Before Izzy could even say anything, someone else spoke up for her. "Leave her alone," Tory's voice filled the air as she and Robby came out to join the rest of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, which left Hawk and Demetri back in Silver's office.

Devon's face dropped when she saw Tory on the other, sharing a look with Kenny, "So you're with them now?" Devon asked the blonde.

          "You knew what would happen if him and his friends ever stepped foot into this dojo again." Kenny spat at Tory, his voice angry and aggressive as he eyed Robby.

          A defeated sigh left Sam's lips, "How did they even know we were here?" She asked her friends, but Izzy shook her head, telling her she wasn't sure.

          Izzy watched Kyler and Kenny look at each other, smiles on their faces like this was some sort of game that they were winning. But then Kyler spoke up, "Mitch, come on, get your ass over here where you belong." Kyler announced.

          Everyone's heads turned to look at the boy, but then Mitch walked between Izzy and Miguel to join Cobra Kai's sides, unzipping his jacket to reveal a Cobra Kai shirt with a large smile on his face.

          Izzy let out a pathetic laugh, shaking her head, because everything began to make sense to her. When Riley and Cobra Kai found out Izzy was in Miyagi-Do, it must have been Mitch who spread the word.

          "Penis breath, how could you?" Bert spoke up.

          Mitch just looked at the other boy, "I don't know. Maybe because they don't call me Penis Breath." He deadpanned, but then his eyes moved to look at all of their faces. "You know, you guys have been so dead set on taking down Cobra Kai, I didn't even wanna leave in the first place. I mean look around. They got snacks, swag, smoothies." Mitch explained, but he wasn't done.

          "Our dojo doesn't even have a roof. Or, like, any badass chicks. No offense Izzy, and Sam." Mitch gestured to the two girls.

          Izzy forced a fake smile to her lips. "Hm, how sweet of you." She responded dryly.

          "All right. Penis Breath, shut up," Kyler raised his voice, "We got a traitor, y'all got two, so I guess it cancels out, right?" Kyler asked, looking around at the rest of Cobra Kai before he turned his head. "So are we gonna throw down or what?"

          Tory shook her head, "I'm not a traitor. I'm just not buying what Silver is selling." She confessed to the Cobra Kai students.

          "I'll own up to it," Izzy shrugged, her arms crossing over her chest, not regretting switching sides. "Also, Tory's right. Whatever Silver is telling you guys, it's all fake."

Robby spoke up after Izzy, nodding his head at the girl's words. "Silver lied. To all of us." Robby told them, but his eyes were on Kenny.

"Us?" Kenny questioned, taking a step forward. "What 'us'? The only person who lied to me is you." Kenny was angry at Robby's words, walking closer to the boy.

Before Kenny got too close, Miguel quickly got in the boy's way, blocking him from getting any closer to Robby. "Robby's right," Miguel told the boy, but then he shook his head as he spoke in a low tone, "You don't wanna do this."

Izzy had her eyes on Miguel, but then watched Kenny turn to look back at the rest of the dojo he belonged to, almost like he thinking about something, and then Kenny looked back to face Miguel.

A scoff left Kenny's lips, "Yeah, I do." Kenny responded, not hesitating to throw a punch at Miguel who leaned back to dodge it, blocking the other attempted punches sent by Kenny.

As the rest of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang kids backed away, the sudden outburst catching them all off guard, Robby tried to pull Izzy back to get her out of harms way, but she ripped her arm out of his grip.

The girl pulled Miguel back, pushing Kenny away from the Diaz boy who was still attempting to score a hit on Miguel. Kenny stumbled back, letting out a huff and underestimated how strong Izzy could be. But, the second Izzy had defended Miguel, all hell seemed to break loose.

        And for the first time in weeks, Izzy felt like she could finally fight back, and she wasn't going to hold back.

they finally said they love each other and got back together :') they're so in love it makes me physically ill like these mfs want to spend forever together. but miguel and izzy are gonna eattttt in the next chapter as a couple again i promise

the only thing left is y'all finding out if i'm gonna end this in a good way or bad way <3
