Chapter 20 - the keeper

No one's Pov

" Eunwoo! " Jungkook whispered yelled seeing his best friend peaking at the guards near the pack Villa which was highly guarded.

" oh you came " Eunwoo smiled at him who scoffed and pulled he back " It's not right Eunwoo! Let's leave " Jungkook tried to stop him who shook his head " No Jungkook! This is the only way " Eunwoo turned his head back at the Villa, seeing some beta walking inside.

Jungkook frowns seeing the box shining in their hand " See that box, That's what I'm going to steal " Before Jungkook could say something Eunwoo rushed inside from behind making Jungkook since, He bend a little and followed Eunwoo.

After successfully hiding from the guards, Both of them entered inside the Villa " You must keep it safe, don't open it... if you dare you know it " Both Eunwoo and Jungkook were confused..What were they talking about and seeing the leader scared face... Jungkook knew it was anything but pleasant.

After they threatened him, they walked out the leader glanced at the box one last time and walked out... Jungkook sighed seeing Eunwoo rushing in " Eunwoo! " Jungkook rushed behind him " I will open it " Eunwoo was good with opening locks and in few seconds he opened the lock " what the hell is this ?" Jungkook frowns.

" A ring? " Eunwoo scoffed and looked away " I thought it's going to be something expensive, But Jungkook he couldn't help but tilt his head...He slowly reached out for the ring...He was hesitant...He slides the ring on his finger but gasped When room lights up with golden words and symbols.

He turned around to call for Eunwoo but was shocked to see him stuck on his place " Greetings, Keeper " Jungkook flinched hearing a loud and strong voice behind him, He turned around seeing a woman, her eye...She was shining bright.

" They calm me Minerva " she smiled at Jungkook who was confused who looks around seeing everything disappearing except all he could see was the red words and symbols " Where are we?" He asked tilting his head to which She couldn't help but laugh.

" You are where you were before...but you want to know what you see what you are seeing ....This is how we are chosing the right path " Jungkook frowns hearing her, Even tho she was bright us fire but her gaze her the softness of clouds " What path?" Jungkook asked her who smiled.

" yours " Jungkook frowns deepens hearing that " We have been waiting for your arrival...You will be the one to bring us to peace " She smiled at how confused Jungkook was " You don't have to understand just know that....You are important...More then you can ever know " Jungkook opened his mouth to say something but stopped.

" immortals and many other creatures have been trying to get what you are wearing right now " She said pointing at the ring, Jungkook glanced down at his ring and then back at her " There are many pieces, Every holds another story...Keep them safe...If they get the hand of it,

" Many are connected to you, You must protect the piece of Eden...I have called you here to let you know of your faith and your duty " Hearing all of this was unreal for Jungkook...He was just an ordinary omega " What duty? What work?" Minerva laughed " Child, No doubt you have many questions, time will answer them " Jungkook nodded his head.

She chuckled " For now, you must follow my words ...leading is for later " Jungkook gasped opened his eyes seeing Eunwoo in front of him " What the hell are you doing Jungkook? " Before Jungkook could answer him They heard a voice " WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING OMEGA" they snapped their head seeing the leader.

" I-I " Jungkook looks at his hand, The ring was placed on his palm instead of his finger...The leader pushed Jungkook to the ground " I'm s-sorry " The 14 year old omega tried to get out of the grip but the Alpha was strong compared to him "You don't know what they will do to me " The leader looked desperate and scared.

" I'm-" Jungkook gasped when the leader applied pressure on his neck choking him " p-please " Tears falls from Jungkook's eyes trying to push him away... Jungkook widen his eyes when Eunwoo stabbed the leader in the side of the neck, killing him instantly " W-what " Jungkook coughed shocked.

" Father!" They both turned their head seeing The son of the leader " Run!" Eunwoo and Jungkook run out of the Villa " GUARDS!" They heard between them, Jungkook looks back and saw how the wolfs were running behind them...Eunwoo was a human and a good runner but Jungkook.

Jungkook turned his head seeing Eunwoo already gone " E-Eunwoo?" Jungkook whispered out feeling betrayed...After running for a while, Jungkook entered inside the jungle... Exhausted He fainted in the middle of the jungle, Before closing his eyes all he could see was young Taehyung's faded figure.

You will bring us peace, Keeper

Jungkook gasped open his eyes, He looks around seeing himself in the middle of the forest " Was it all a dream?" Jungkook mumbled, But he shook his head, remembering about Eunwoo " H-He killed him, What was he thinking" Jungkook thought...For now he thought Minerva and everything else was just a dream.

With slow steps Jungkook made his way towards the pack, Seeing all the streets empty scared Jungkook a bit...On reaching the area where his house was located Jungkook widen his eyes in shocked " No...N-No " Michael along with many other pups and pack members were hanged blood Running all around their body.

I want to be an astronaut Kookie.

Jungkook clearly remembers Michael's words, He cried falling down on his knees, Looking at all the lifeless bodies of the pups and other pack members " Jungkook! Stop looking " Eunwoo hugged him tightly knowing how sensitive was Jungkook to blood and seeing his closed once like this.

" STAY AWAY! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT " Jungkook pushed him away who fell down on the ground " STAY AWAY " Jungkook screamed loudly range visible in his eyes " Stop pointing your little blame finger at me, You were the one who touched the ring " Jungkook looks at him in disbelief.

Wasn't Eunwoo the one who was blinded by money, The one who planned to steal the ring...The one who killed the leader... Jungkook was pretty sure the leaders son murdered everyone just for revenge " Just know that Eunwoo from now on...we are strangers....I never was to see you again " Jungkook spat out....while Eunwoo stood there in silence.

••• Present •••

" After that, all I remember was running away from the pack with my family....I was too shocked to think about anything...I was guilty but then after an year everything changed " Jungkook closed his eyes letting his tears fall down his cheeks while Taehyung he wanted to move forward and hold the omega..but he stayed silent.

••• Flashback•••

Jungkook was sitting by the window looking around towards the hustle and bustle of the streets, He can't help but always think about Michael and other children in the pack, Their laugh always present in his mind " You are still thinking about them?" Jungkook flinched hearing Joonki's voice behind him " Sorry Appa " His father chuckled.

" don't apologize,I understand you " Jungkook hugged his father who pats his head softly " don't be sad okay " Jungkook " Jungkook nodded his head.. Jungkook was glad his parents and his little brother were their for him...He hugged his father tightly " Hey without us?" Monna whined along with Taehoo.

Joonki chuckled, calling them for a hugged... Jungkook sighed in softly when his mother wrapped her arms around him, While Taehoo wiggling between them.

••• Time Skip •••

Jungkook was sitting by the lake, once again feel in thoughts, But now he was thinking about what Minerva said " It's getting dark, I better get home " He mumbled, Jungkook dust himself walking towards his house...He entered inside the house but frowns seeing no one " Eomma? Appa?" He called Out loud.

He walked inside the house, seeing everything messed up, He gasped seeing his mother " Eomma?!" She had her clothes torned up, rushing to her Jungkook instantly covered her up " W-what happened?" Jungkook asked her shocked...While Monna she was just silently looking at the wall.

" Jungkook, your father....and Taehoo.. They arrested them " Jungkook turned around hearing Jimin who was trying " What?!" Jungkook was even more shocked, He was blaming himself.. Was it about the leader Eunwoo killed? And why his mother was in this condition.

" Eomma tried to stop them...then they....t-they " Jungkook sobbed looking at his mother, He hugged her tightly, tears falling down his cheeks " Jungkook, I heard they ...they are doing to kill them " Chang wan said rushing inside the house... Jungkook instantly stood up walking out of the house " BE CAREFUL THEY AFTER YOU " He heard someone's whisper in his ear but ignored it.
