Chapter 5~TYLER'S POV~A warm Wednesday of February.
Zach and Kevin whooped a little, which it made us blush more. She giggled and buried her face with her hands. She was about to turn away but I grabbed her arm and spun towards me; embracing her. We walked towards them, still sitting on the bench, and sat next to them.
"You guys are so cute!" Kevin muffled under his fistful hands, doing cute stuff.
Zach, Amanda and I laughed out loud of his baby stuff. Kevin faced down, laughing and feeling still bashful.
"Zack, you're right! Kiss Note is for real!" I exclaimed and he smirked.
"Told you." He smiled.
"Good thing that no one else was around us, except you and Kevin." I spoke.
"Yeah, because we're besties and we keep each other's secrets." Kevin spoke and I nodded while I was embracing Amanda.
"Where's Isabelle? We just want to congratulate her for being the chosen MC of this Saturday night." Amanda spoke.
We all realized that we can't forget to congratulate of our bestie, Isabelle. Isabelle is such a nice girl for us with so many reasons we can't count.
"She's at the algebra class in this hour." Zack told us.
"Well, I think five minutes before the bell rings, we'll go to her locker and we'll just surprise her, don't you think?" I spoke and we all agreed.
"Hope she won't get scared." Kevin hoped.
"I hope so, too." Amanda also hoped.
"So, shall we go to somewhere else, my love?" I spoke sweetly to Amanda.
"Like where?" Amanda giggled.
"Okay, now you're talking." Zack teased and smirked. Kevin whooped a little, and giggled.
"What?..." Amanda seemed confused.
"Don't mind of them, they're just teasing us." I shushed as my head was against on her head.
"Maybe..." I spoke, she leaned towards me to whisper something to my ear.
"We can go the Saturday's dance night as our first date. And after that, can you come to my house to have some fun?" I whispered sweetly to her ear; I'm sure that my friends would never know what I'm whispering to her.
I heard soft giggles from Amanda. I know that she'll love it.
"Ok." She whispered as we giggled together.
"Hey, what time is it?" Zack asked.
"I don't know. I think we only have half an hour to go to third hour." Kevin spoke.
"Whoa." Zack grimaced.
"Well, there's only four of us in this big, old gymnasium. Hey, let's play basketball altogether." Kevin spoke as we all agreed.
Kevin gave me the orange basketball, and I started to bounce it up and down.
We went into the basketball court but there is a basketball hoop in each side that we couldn't choose which one. I stopped bouncing my basketball and I held it under my arm. Each of us already know which we want, but suddenly I have an idea.
"Hey guys! I have an idea." I exclaimed.
"Since there's only four of us in this place, there's a basketball hoops in each side. That reminds of a game I loved since I was a kid. My three cousins had four basketball hoops hanging four walls in my uncle's garage. I brought my basketball with me like this one I'm holding. We separated ourselves to the four hoops. We stood behind of each hoop; whoever gets the shoot will the pass the ball to another player. However, if whoever misses, they'll try again until they get the shoot. I remember those good times in my innocence." I told them; I was surprised that they paid closely attention to me.
"That sounds fun." Zack smiled.
"Yeah, let's play that game." Kevin agreed.
"Hope we don't waste our energy to surprise our bestie Isa to congratulate her." Amanda spoke.
"You've heard it?" I was shocked that I didn't know she heard the announcement.
She nodded.
"Girl, I was about to tell you that, but anyways." I chuckled and she giggled.
"Ok, let's play the game!" Kevin exclaimed.
I flung my basketball to Kevin so we as a group of four, separated ourselves from each other to the four basketball hoops. Kevin was in front of the basketball hoop. He bounced the basketball twice and looked up at the hoop. He jumped as he threw the ball towards the hoop from his hands. The ball swirled around the edge of the hoop. We saw the ball going around and around the hoop. We were still expecting a successful shoot from Kevin. Finally, the ball entered the hoop; Kevin jumped for joy while we cheered. The basketball bounced joyfully towards me and I clutched it on my hands.
"You are awesome, man!" I exclaimed.
"I wasn't expecting that! I wasn't even good at basketball!" Kevin laughed.
"I know, but you did it. You just nailed it!" I exclaimed as he smiled, just giving him some encouragement.
I bounced the ball no matter how many times; I looked up the basketball hoop. I jumped as I threw the ball towards the hoop. It went through the hoop which I didn't expected it. We all cheered for my successful shoot. I clutched the ball from bouncing it as I looked at Amanda, waiting for me to catch it. However, I didn't want to throw it to her. So I walked towards her, trying to give her the basketball. The heat bloomed inside of my cheeks, and I shyly smiled.
"Here." I softly spoke.
Amanda looked down the basketball I'm holding, then looked at me. She smiled at me, her hands were caressing my hands, while slowly taking my basketball. Her soft touches made my heart skip a beat. I want to hold her soft, smooth hand a little longer but she needed to get a good shot through the hoop.
"Thanks...Tyler." She shyly smiled.
Her smile made me giggle and my pulse kept fluttering.
"That's so sweet, Tyler." Zach chuckled; I looked at him, smiling.
"That made you guys look so cuter than ever!" Kevin muffled under his fistful hands, doing cute stuff once again.
I shook my head, laughing at Kevin.
"Kevin, stop." I laughed as Kevin kept giggling.
"Hey, if you shoot the basketball and it gets through the hoop, kiss him." Zach told Amanda but I scoffed.
"Stop playing around, Zach. You know that already." She laughed.
"Ha! See? Told you." I teased Zach because we already know that we teased each other often; he playfully squinted and shook his head, about to crack up.
To be honest, Zack and I are best friends since middle school years. We have a lot of things in common. We love music, dance, sing, and tease each other.
Anyways, Amanda bounced the ball up and down multiple times. She looked up the hoop with hope; I believe she can make it because my heart says so. I wouldn't listen my mind because it's the enemy of my heart. My mind says, "She could fail" but my heart says, "She will make it." That's why I always have to follow my heart. She nearly crouched as she was about to jump. She jumped as she threw the ball towards the hoop, and it swirled around the hoop.
That suddenly scared me because I totally expect a shot through the hoop this fast, but no. I was afraid to look what will happen but I have to see it. It kept swirling around and around, as my fears began to worsen. Finally, however, the basketball fell through the hoop. We all cheered; Amanda and I laughed out loud of relief with an irresistible joy. We embraced each other tight; her honeysuckle scent drowned me that made my lips hunger to attack her neck. I gave her a kiss on her neck which gave her shivers. We looked each other with cute smiles, and closed the gap between our parted lips. My lips glided back and forth against hers, as my fingers stroked her hair gently.
Zach and Kevin whooped in our kissing moment, but I didn't care because I made my move on her. We broke our kiss apart, embracing each other again.
"Hey! It's my turn!" Zach exclaimed as I threw the ball towards him and he caught it.
He jumped and threw the ball towards the hoop and finally succeeds. We cheered for joy; we're good at shooting basketball. However, it's almost time to go to another class.
