Chapter 12~ISABELLE'S POV~A warm, sunny Friday of February.

I felt so jumpy and my nerves are shocked. I walked to the entrance of San Francisco High School. I walked up the stairs but what I see is red, pink and white decorations curled up, in a wavy pattern stuck on the walls. I totally knew what that is for today; this is the eve of the tomorrow's dance night. The best part? Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and no one will ever dare to miss the wonderful moment. Everyone already knows that I'm the MC for tomorrow night so I better get prepared. I'm still practicing my solo, without any mistake. I walked into the first hour classroom in the first floor. I saw Mrs. Kelly on her desk at the left corner.

She saw me in surprise.

"Well, look who came early!" She exclaimed and I chuckled.

"Morning, Mrs. Kelly." I smiled.

"Morning, Isabelle. Are you excited for tomorrow's dance night?" She asked.

"Yes, I am." I smiled.

"I'm sure you're going to wear like you're the brightest star for the night!" She expressed and I giggled a little.

"Everyone's been asking me what am I going to wear for the dance. I don't want to spoil my surprise dress." I expressed as she knows about it.

"Oh, well they better wait until tomorrow." She chuckled and I smiled.

"Yeah." I spoke and smiled.

Minute by minute, my classmates came here on time. I heard chattering outside of the classroom. I started to stare out from door. Every classroom is like every house you come, and at the hallways are like streets where teenagers might not even care about going to the classrooms.

I felt like one of the most important ways of life is education. My ten friends felt the same thing, also. Our classroom is where we come to learn how to learn, to ask questions, to be curious. Sure, there's still philosophy, but other than that, we build our own projects and follow computer programs at our own pace. There are so many plants in here it is almost like being in a little jungle at times but I love them. The chairs and tables are all ergonomic, comfortable, though often we choose to sit on the floor mats at the low tables, or on the couch. Every room has a learning guide, a teacher, whose job it is to inspire and guide us when we ask for help.

Ten minutes later, the bell rang and class is now in session. As the minutes of the lesson passed, the ceaseless buzzing of the classroom and the unlimited amount of energy the students contained increased, which would be a rare sight if the class was under their teacher's supervision. Having no vicious teacher who would glare at the class with red flames dancing in her eyes as she expects an answer to a question, even the world's most intelligent mastermind couldn't provide an answer. It was an unbelievable chance worth taking to have at least a few moments of pleasure, after an hour of endless minutes of teaching, asking, answering, and discussing topics.

Hours have passed and finally, it's lunch time. I walked out from the classroom, anxious to go to the cafeteria to talk with my friends. Laughter sounds along the halls, joined with excited conversations and shouts. Model worthy girls perch on the tables like exotic birds gossiping and giggling. Groups of high schoolers sit around the room laughing and causing all kinds of ruckus, all except one group that sit silently staring at laptop screens with massive headphones which appear to be permanently strapped to their heads. A breath of air brushes my ear; I follow the breeze and see a blue striped paper plane gracefully gliding through the air before sliding across the tiled hall to stop with its nose against the wall.

I went to my locker to get my lunch and my light pink notebook, but my ears were caught attention by a group conversation.

"Hey, did you know that an unusual notebook called Kiss Note existed here?" The first girl asked.

Right after I heard her, my nerves impacted by shock and fear. I closed the locker, but still hearing it. They won't know that I'm listening it.

"How did she know that? Was she a snitch?" I thought.

"Yeah, I didn't know that would exist here." The second girl spoke.

"I wonder who created it anyway." The third girl spoke.

While the three gossiping girls are talking, I prepared to pretend that I didn't hear anything what they saying, and not knowing what's Kiss Note and its creator. In reality, however, I know everything about it.

"Excuse me." The second girl called me.

"Yeah." I spoke, pretending that I'm cool.

"Have you heard of Kiss Note?" She asked me.

I was about to lie, but the first girl interrupted.

"No, I think she's new to that. She might not know anything about it." She spoke to the third girl.

"It's all right, girl. You're cool." The first girl smiled, knowing that I was a simple and nice girl.

After the three girls walked away from me at distance, I was so relieved. I was about to get caught but the first girl saved me. I walked towards the cafeteria, still scared of talking about Kiss Note. Along my heart racing with fear, I started to run. I went into the cafeteria and saw my ten friends sitting on a table. They didn't know that I was coming.

"Hey, Isabelle! Good thing that you're here." Aurora smiled.

"Yeah. How are you guys?" I asked them.

"We're fine, thanks." Elias spoke.

"Hey guys, I have some plans we can choose for two days after the dance party." I spoke.

"Really?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah, I got them in my notebook." I spoke; I sat in the table with them and put my lunch and my light pink notebook on the desk.

I opened it and there's a list that which we would love to go.

"There's Golden Gate Park, an art museum or a mall." I spoke.

"I was thinking that Sunday afternoon we could go to Golden Gate Park, don't you guys think?" Chase spoke.

"Yeah, I'll agree Chase, because after the dance party, we'll be so tired." I chuckled.

"Yeah. Save our energies for tomorrow night!" Kate encouraged us.

I chuckled.

"What about Monday? There's no school." Tyler spoke.

"Right. Tyler, Amanda, I know that you're a bit obsessed about fashion. So, we're all going to Westfield San Francisco Mall." I smiled.

Tyler and Amanda blushed as if they're surprised.

"Oh, that's good!" Kate smiled.

"I'm not sure if we're going to go shopping or not, but we're just going to hang out there for a while." I spoke.

"Okay." Tyler spoke.

"Hey, guys. I want to talk you guys, this is very serious." I spoke.

"What is it, Isa?" Gwendolyn asked.

"Everyone is talking about Kiss Note. They said that it's existing in this school. They want to know who created it." I spoke.

"Yeah, we were about to tell you that they're talking about it. But we actually don't know who created it." Zach spoke.

We started to think about it, trying to get some clues.

"Hey, Kevin." Chase called.

"Yeah, Chase?" Kevin looked at him.

"Before you took your turn to Kiss Note, what did you said?" Chase asked.

Kevin started to look back what did he said before he tried Kiss Note. I can see him very pensive, but then widened his eyes like he remembered it.

"An angel." Kevin spoke.

"What?" Chase didn't hear what Kevin just spoke.

"Remember what I said that Kiss Note is a beautiful gift from an angel?" Kevin asked Chase.

"Oh, yeah." Chase realized.

"So it's an angel." Elias spoke.

"But...who is the angel?" Tyler asked.

"Good question." I spoke.

We kept thinking of who is the angel. However, no one might ever know my real nature. No one knows that I'm a hybrid angel.

"Well, all of us are humans here on earth." Aurora spoke.

"All angels live in heaven, though. I mean, I don't think there are angels living here on earth. Who knows?" Amanda spoke.

You may all believe that angels live in heaven, but that's not true, I thought.

I knew that I'm an angel living here, but I don't want to speak up. I felt insecure. Suddenly, the bell rang and we got out from the table. We walked out from the cafeteria; I felt more than relieved from getting caught twice. Like as always, I walked in front of my ten friends in the hallways. This time, I tried not to look back to them because my secrets might be spoiled again. I walked to the right side where my locker was. I saw the shining sun broke the clouds out once again on the huge window. Is it telling me again to let it all out? I can't doubt or say no.
