After playing the Xbox, we checked the time. It was 10:00. The time when his parents normally have dinner. I got up and went downstairs and his mom was setting the table. When I started helping she said,

"Tonight we are having spegatti and rice."

"Thanks 'Mom'." I said. Then Mr. Brown walked in. "Good afternoon Mr. Brown." I said with a smile.

"Good afternoon Anna. Are you spending the night here again?"

"Yes sir. If it's alright with you guys. Otherwise I'm just here on a visit."

"It fine. What's for dinner?"

"Spegatti and rice." Said Miss Brown.

"Oh. Sounds good. Hello son." Mr. Brown said to Masson.

"Hello Father." He replied. We stood in an awkward silence. It was like Masson and his dad had been in a fight or were mad at each other.

"Um.." Me and Miss Brown shared a look that meant awkward. "So um let's eat?" I said and sat down.

"Yes let's eat." Mr. Brown said.

"Yeah." Masson said.

After dinner I helped with dishes and then went upstairs. I sat on Masson's bed waiting for him. When he walked in, he was wet from taking a shower.

"What was that all about?" I asked.

"Nothing." He sighed.

"That's not nothing and I won't do anything till I know what it was." I said. So he decided to stair at me for the next twenty minutes.

"I'll tell you later. Let's just play a game ok?" He finally said.

"Ugh. Fine." I said and grabbed my controller. "But I will know by the end of the night."

"Yeah yeah." He smiled. "What ever."

"I'm serious." I said sternly. "I will fined out from you, your dad, or mom"

"Fine but don't say I didn't warn ya." He said then turned to the tv screen.

3 hours later, it was 11:00 and I was sitting bye Masson on the bed and he was reading. I put the book on the night stand and starred at him.

"No." He said.

I raised an eye brow then got up.

"What are you doing?" He asked. I came to his side of the bed and smiled. I have him a light kiss on the lips then walked to the door. I put my hand on the door knob and said, "just going to get info on what happened earlier." I smiled and opened the door.

"Okay, okay just close the door and I'll tell you." He said serious like.

"Ok." I said with a smile, "tell me." I said and he got up.

"He wants to move. He wants to move half way across the country. Without me and mom. He is divorcing her and she doesn't even know. I know cause I over heard him talking to his friend about it." He said then walked back to his bed. "I didn't wanna tell you but your stubborn." He said.

"I'm stubborn because I'm concerned." I said and sat next to him. "I don't want anyone else getting hurt then leaving because that's what made me want to kill myself when we first met." I said and he looked at me surprised.

"W-what?! Why would you do that?!" He said really upset.

"The day we first met I was planning to kill myself because I had lost so many people in my life and then my dad left me and my mom. That why we moved here in the first place. I was gonna hang myself in the backyard."I let my words sink in. I hadn't told anybody this at all so I was nervous but he deserves to know.

"Wait why would you-" he said but I interrupted him.

"But then you came up to me. Y-you kissed me. At first I thought it was a sick joke, but then you-you asked me to date you and I couldn't say no. You are the reason I'm not dead right now. Had you not kissed me I-I wouldn't be alive. I would be six feet under. Losing people is what caused that. I just didn't want you to get hurt." I said by the end of this, I was crying.

"Hey I love you. I'm glad you didn't kill yourself Anna. I want you alive. I need you alive." He said and pulled me in for a hug.
