I wrapped my arms tighter around Nevaeh and pressed my forehead in the space between her neck and shoulder, “Just agree to his offer, Nevaeh.” I said.
“You know I can’t do that.” she said.
“Yes you can.” I said. “Don’t leave me here alone. What about me? Azariah?”
“What about my mom? Courtney? Uncle Carter? Aracelia? Lori? My grandparents? Everyone I love in the world?” she asked. “Azariah will have you, knowing he’ll be safe with you well make it better.”
I lifted my head and looked down at her, “No. It won’t be fine, I want you here. I don’t care about anyone else but you and Azariah. I won’t survive in this world without you, I have no other reason to live if I can’t have you.”
She reached her hand up, “Hadrian, don’t say that.”
I reached up, taking her hand, “No, you know that’s true. If you—if you die, I won’t live on this plant without you.”
“I can’t be the fault for the world turning into the second Hell.” I said. “I knew what I’ll be getting into when I became a Hunter Hadrian—“
“That wasn’t your propose on to be born.” I said coldly. “It was to be Azariah mother, be with me.”
“And I am bring Azariah into this world and I am with you.” she said softly. “Senka is powerful, I wouldn’t even know how to kill him if he gave me a chance to try. Azariah won’t do anything he says unless one of us tells him to do it.”
I shook my head as I looked down at her, “Why do you want to leave me?”
“I don’t.” she said, giving me a begging look. “Hadrian, I have to. Senka is talking about killing all the Hunter and Angels. More Angels will be sent down to Earth, but Azariah can easily kill them then until the last Angel is dead. That’s how strong Azariah will be.”
“It’s unfair.” I said to her.
She reached both of her hands up and touched my face, “Don’t think I want this, Hadrian. There’s nothing more than I want then to be here with you both. But I wouldn’t be able to live with myself and turn a cold shoulder away while Demons are in control of Earth. I don’t even want to think how the world be and it’ll be all my fault. Azariah is what will keep the peace if we don’t tell him to hurt anyone.”
“For how long? How long does Azariah live for?” I asked.
“Azariah is immortal, you’ll always have a piece of me.” she said.
“I don’t want a piece of you, I want all of you.” I said as I moved myself down and rest my head on her chest, placing my hand on her growing stomach. Azariah moved around something, I wasn’t sure if it was his feet or hands but I felt him. “I was such a monster, I would never say anything like I had to you again. I was a cold person towards you.”
“You’re cold to everyone, just not to me.” she said. “So I guess we’re stuck here. We won’t be able to just walk out.”
“All because of me.” I said coldly, but only because I was angry with myself.
“It wasn’t your fault.” she said, lightly stroking my hair. “I can’t believe Victurus could look me in the eyes the whole time without any remorse. And Aracelia went along with it, she knew about it and didn’t tell me.”
“Maybe you could get Azariah to at least ‘handle’ Aracelia—ow. Only joking.” I chuckled since she had pulled at my hair tightly.

I jumped up to the rail and brought my legs up, kicking the Demon away. I let go and pulled the gun out of its holster on the side of my waist, aiming at the bullet at him and fired a few times at his chest. I heard a crying out sound and I turned to see a Demon grabbing Courtney by her hair. I ran over and tackled the Demon to the ground, grabbing a broken piece of glass and stabbed her in the chest. The glass broke and my hand was cut, but the Demon bitch died.
“Hey, I had her!” Courtney said as I stood up. Her eyes blazed a neon green color and I saw her teeth were a little shaper than usual. She couldn’t fully turn, only on full moon but that doesn’t stop her from having those Lycan instincts.
“Oh yeah, before her having you in a headlock looked like you were handling her.” I said sarcastically and she gave me a hard look. I pointed at her, “Hey, we agreed to let you come along but that doesn’t mean you can start be cocky. You’re still new and—“I was cut off when some forced hit my body and blew me away. I slammed into a wall, my body becoming increasingly sore as I fell down. I even lost my breath for a moment.
My body was then picked up by my throat and a huge Viking looking Demon slammed my back into the stone wall of the club. My hands flew up to his hands around my throat, trying to get the huge looking Demon off me. I kicked at him but then by the that force, my legs were held down.
“We told you to get lost little man.” he said. Little? I’m six two, but this thing was about seven feet.
I saw little five three Courtney jump up on the Demon back and she bit down on his teeth. The Demon cried out in pain and he let go of me as he stumbled back. I fell to the ground and my head looked up to see the Viking Demon grabbed Courtney and like a doll, threw her across the room. Courtney hit the wall roughly but like a wolf, she quickly got up on all fours and growled at the Demon. She got up and ran over to the Demon, jumping on him and bit into his shoulder again.
“Courtney!” Carter yelled from across the room.
The Demon was slamming into things, trying to get the little Lycan off him. He finally got the petite girl off him and he slammed her back against the small table and her head slammed onto a bear bottle. The Demon crawled on top of her as I ran over and again, tackled him off her. I grabbed I bear bottle and smashed the bottom, then stabbed him in the throat. Black blood splattered everywhere as I took the broken bottle out and jammed it down into his chest.
I heard Courtney gagging and I turned my head to seeing her bending over the coffee table spitting, “Ugh! Disgusting, his blood tasted like bad old soda.”
“Well what do you expected?” I asked and looked around. Leo finished off the last Demon in the nightclub by stabbing her in the chest with an old sword. “Taste like melted chocolate?”
“I was helping! You don’t need to be rude.” she said as she climbed off the table and wiped across her mouth where black blood was smeared.
“He ran out, didn’t he?” I asked as Carter walked over to me.
He nodded, “Damn Spaniard Demon is strong. He’s seventeen thousand years old and could read our minds. He left the second before we pulled the fire alarm.”
“I had my eyes on, I saw him.” Leo said. “Black shaggy hair pulled back ponytail, he was over there flirting with the bartender.”
“I saw him then.” I said. The door of the club opened and Aracelia came in. “Huh, that made things easier.” I said as I shrugged since she was dragging the Demon we were looking for. Aracelia had injured him because the right side of his chest was soaked, ruining his nice white button shirt.
She pulled him over to us and forced him down on his knee. He was cursing at us in Spanish and Latin. “He actually tried to run.” Aracelia said.
“I would have done it to. You’re just lucky because of those wings, you dirty bird.” Armando said.
Seraphiel walked over and punched him across the face. Courtney jerked next to me at the sound because he cracked something in the Demon face that even my normal Mortal ears could hear. “Senka Dashwood homes? Tell them to me now.”
“And who the hell are you?” Armando asked coldly as he looked up at the Angel who wasn’t a fallen. Seraphiel put his hands on Armando forehead. Armando eyes closed tightly and he started screaming in pain. “Stop it!”
“Speak now you abomination!” Seraphiel said.
“How about you take that stick out your ass and put it up hers?” Armando asked as he bobbed his head at Aracelia. “She’ll have twice the pain, or maybe the third? When’s the last time you got laid Angel? The last time with that daughter of your father? Maybe you wouldn’t be such a stiffer if got—“he was cut off when I took the pocket knife out of my pocket and threw it at his neck. He started choking and everyone looked at me.
I shrugged, “What? He’s a disrespectful cunt.” I said and I saw a small smile appear on Aracelia face before her face went hard and she took the knife out.
She grabbed his hair, pulling his head back, “I want you to tell me where Senka is so I can find my daughter.”
“How far along is she now?” he asked. “That thing inside of her, I heard Senka has his whole future planned out already. It’s going to be hell on earth, how exciting.” Armando said, chuckling.
“Hadrian there.” Aracelia said. “Senka is torturing him, making him tell him all the people who were planning a rebellion towards him. Your name might come up.”
Armando chuckled, “I’m loyal to Senka, you can’t get anything from me. Hadrian is a stupid ass fuck up, he can die all he wishes. I told him to stay away from your girl, but he wouldn’t listen.”
Aracelia plunged the knife into Armando throat against and twisted it around, lowering down towards his ear, “Listen to me you bastard of Bedeiah, if anything happens to my daughter. If Senka even pulls a strain out of her head, I will come and find you again. It’ll be easy, I promise. I’ll torture you three times worse and I’ll make sure it’s painful that you’ll be begging for me to kill you. It won’t be sinful in the eyes of God, he loves Nevaeh. Just tell me and I’ll let you go.” she said before pulling the knife out.
Armando spit out blood, “You know what he’ll do when he finds out it was me who gave him up?”
“I plan on killing him.” Seraphiel said. “You won’t have to worry about him.”
Armando chuckled humorlessly, “No one can Senka.”
“I was not thrown out of Heaven, I was sent down here. I have all my powers, that’s how I made you think you were being ripped apart into pieces.” Seraphiel said.
“We’re not talking about becoming besties.” Aracelia said. “I want my daughter, you’re going to tell us.”
“And what about Hadrian?” Armando asked. “Huh? Are you going to save him to?”
“There’s no saving Hadrian.” Aracelia said. “My daughter and her child still have a chance though.”
Armando looked at the ground for a moment before he cursed in Spanish, “You get Hadrian out of there and you bring him to me. No question why.”
“Wasn’t going to.” Aracelia said.
“He’s in the country part of Puerto Rico called Catalina. He’s in a villa, it won’t be hard to miss.” he said. “I would suggest taking as much people as possible, he has pretty talented people in Puerto Rico.”
“Fantastic.” I said as I brought my gun up and Armando glared at me.
“No.” Leo said as he put his hand on my arm and put it down. “This Demon has good knowledge, we might need him in the future.” he said and Armando snorted.
+Nevaeh.+
“I always thought there was something different about Stefan.” Alma said. “He would always talk so differently when he talked allot, like he was from back a long time ago. He was protective of me, never let anyone touch me but family. I loved him though, he was never mean and he let me do the things I love. He wasn’t possessive, nor controlling like Senka makes Angels sound. He loved me, I think.”
My eyebrows furrowed together, “You think?”
“Can Angels even love?” she asked. “The ones that fallen, they stopped loving God. Senka told me everything.”
“No, they didn’t stop.” I said. “They were jealous of Mortals, but they didn’t stop loving God. They all loved him and wanted his attention on them. God told them being jealous and having too much was sinful. He gave them many, many chances to love all each other but the ones that fell refused to love us. The ones who rebelled against him were sent with Lucifer and the ones who didn’t were sent here. My mother, she told me she was one of us now. Seraphiel was one of the Angels who loved us, he was the third to bow down after Michael was the first. He loves you, Alma.”
“This all seems so unreal though.” she said as she looked up at the bright blue eyes. “There’s actually a Heaven, somewhere wonderful from this Earth.”
“Seraphiel will find you Alma and take care of you.” I said. I smiled, because I was trying to lighten the mood, “So a girl, was he excited?”
A small smile appeared on her face, “Yes, he would keep calling her princess after we learned. I think he even wanted to name her that, but I want to name her Nalani after my grandmother. What is your son name?”
“Azariah.” I said. “Hadrian named him, but I’m going to call him Ezra.”
Alma frowned, giving me a look of disgust, “That man and his brother brought me here. He brought you here, how could you say you love him?”
I shook my head, “No, Hadrian isn’t like that. His mind was messed with, Hadrian would never do that. He didn’t want to come out here because he couldn’t look you in the face because he felt bad. Most Demon don’t feel that, Alma, but Hadrian does because he’s different.”
“I want to believe that, but I just don’t. Just tell him to stay away from me.” she said. “Do you . . . think it’s strange we’re having children around the same time?”
My eyebrows furrowed, “Not until now. Why do you think it’s strange?”
“I heard Senka talking about Azariah and Nalani being ‘good friends’ as they grow up together.” she said. “What do you think he meant?”
“Nalani won’t be raised here.” I said as I turned to her.
“Why are you saying mine? What about yours?” she asked.
“My son will be raised by his father. I’m protecting you, Nalani, and Seraphiel.” I said as I turned and walked away from the ocean water. I ignored everyone looking at me as I walked into the villa of Senka and went upstairs to the room I spent the last week in.
I found Rien in the room with Hadrian. Hadrian was reading threw a book and Rien leaned up from the wall as I came in.
“Ah, there’s my nephew!” Rien said excitedly as he walked over but something was thrown between us. It was the book Hadrian was reading. “Well.”
“Stay away from her, Rien.” Hadrian said, looking up from the table to look up at us. “Don’t even touch her.”
Rien frowned, “Brother, come on.”
Hadrian gave him a hard look, “Touch what is mine again and I’ll kill you.”
“I would like you to trust me.” he said before giving me a smile. He walked around me and left the room.
Hadrian got up and walked over to me. He closed the behind me and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him. “I told you not to leave the room alone.”
“No one going to touch me, you know that.” I said. I rested my head against his chest as my arms went around his waist. I pressed my nose against his shirt, inhaling his cologne.

Rafael grabbed me by my arm and pulled me to look at him, “Please Courtney, what if something bad goes on?”
I pulled my arm out of his hold and threw my clothes in the bag, “I’m going.”
“Courtney, please.” Rafael said. “They hurt you again? You maybe not come back.”
“Don’t be crazy, of course I am.” I said. “Seraphiel will kill Senka and you can go home. I won’t hurt you.”
“About the other day?” he asked. “Courtney, I know you no hurt me. You don’t want to. Don’t pack!” he said as he took the shirt out of my hand. I stood up and glared at him. He threw the shirt down and put his hands on my arms, “Please.” he said, almost begging. “Stay with me.”
“My sister—“
“Want you safe. No?” he asked, his thick Spanish accent filling my ears and made my heart big. “I don’t want you hurt.”
My eyes soften, “I’ll be okay.”
He shook his head, “I lose my mom, I do not want to lose you.”
“You won’t.” I said. “But it’s good if you we just—stay away.” I forced the last part out as I turned.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because!” I yelled coldly as I looked back at him. “Because we’re worlds apart. I’m a Lycan, you’re a Nephilim. You’re food to me, Rafael! I don’t want to hurt you. Ever.”
“You do not only get to choose!” he said, shocking me at how hard his voice got. “I do not care.”
“I do though.” I said. “Be with a normal girl.”
“I don’t want a normal girl, I want you.” he said more softly, making me want to cry.
