I felt someone touching my face, pushing my hair back. I groaned, turning away from whoever because I wanted to sleep. I brought my knees up, bring my arm up to cover my eyes since the sun was so bright this morning I could see it over my eyelids. I was tempted to yell for my mom to come and clothes it for me.
“Nevaeh.” I heard a voice, making my eyes open and widen. I quickly propped myself up on my elbow and turned my head around to see the last person I expect to see.
I quickly turned and stood on my knees, “Daddy.” I said as I attacked him with a hug. My arms squeezed around him just because I wanted to make sure I could actually feel him, if he was real. He was real—at least I hoped. “I don’t understand.” I said as I pulled away. “Am I dreaming? This can’t be real.” I said as I looked at my father.
“You’re really here.” he said, his eyebrows furrowing together and looked as confused as I did. “Uh—“ he cleared his throat and turned his head to the right, looking at a large tree, “Hey, you come out right now.” he said, confusing me even more. I don’t understand what’s going on at all and it took a moment, but Azariah stepped from behind the tree, looking like he was caught doing something bad. “He is really a weird kid.” my dad said as he looked back at me. “He brought you here.”
“What?” I asked, turning my head to look Azariah. “Is that true?” I asked him.
He nodded, “Yes.”
“How?”
He shrugged his right shoulder, “I don’t know.” he said as he walked over and stood next to my dad. I did a double take at them because even though he had some looks of Hadrian, Azariah actually looks allot like my dad. Same curly dark hair, green eyes, nose, and even the same mouth with the top being slightly bigger. “I saw a memory of yours of the first time you visited him and just—well, we ended up here. I don’t know how I did it.”
“Must have desired to comes here so bad, you teleported the both of you here.” my dad said.
Realizing I was actually here, I wasn’t sure how I was really suppose to act. Excited or kind of freaking out because my own child can do these things?
“You look allot like I did as a kid.” my dad said. “You better protect her since I can’t.”
I looked at them and they were smiling at each other. I was surprised at how calm my dad was, he wasn’t angry or saying hurtful things to Azariah. “You’re….not mad?”
My dad looked at me and shook his head, “No. Azariah will do many great things, He has told me. Azariah is his new creation, that’s why you were born Nevaeh. Aracelia wasn’t able to have child, but God sent you to her so you could Azariah. You were suppose to meet Hadrian for a reason so you two could create him. Azariah is a Salvator, hard times are going to come and Azariah will have a big mission to do when he’s older.”
“I don’t understand.” I said as I ran my hands threw my hair. “Wait—Azariah is a what? A Salvator? That sounds like a person name.”
“It means savior in Latin.” he said. “You meaning for being born wasn’t to be a Hunter but to help bring a savior into the world.”
I laughed humorlessly, “Me?”
He nodded, “Yes you. Even in the womb, soon Demons won’t be able to touch you because of him.” He took Azariah hand, “Apparently Azariah has many talents like sending you here. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be careful with him, Nevaeh.” he said and my eyebrows furrowed together, confused. “You have to teach Azariah, be patient with him because he can do so many thing and some he won’t be able to control until he’s older.”
“Like what?” I asked.
“Create fire with his mind. Control the weather. Kill with his mind, but also bring them back to life.” he said. “Many, many things you’ll have to watch out for and help teach him.”
I scoffed, “I can’t do that—I don’t know how to do that.”
“You need to.” he said. “You and Hadrian needs to.”
“I don’t even know where Hadrian is.” I said, feeling my heart sinking. “I don’t know what I’m suppose to do now, I’m scared.”
“It’s alright to be scared, you wouldn’t be alive if you weren’t scared sometimes.” he said as he put his arm around Azariah. “You’re stronger then you think you are, Nevaeh. And you Azariah, be easy on her okay? You’re not evil, I know you’re worried about that. Let her help you, even if you think she’s just telling you what to do.”
“Dad, do you know where Hadrian is?” I asked.
He stared at me for a moment, “He’s closer to you then you think, Nevaeh. Be careful though right now, Senka did something to his mind. He’s not himself right now. And Nevaeh.”
“Hmm?” I said.
“Tell Courtney everything will be alright, He hasn’t look down on he. She still rightfully belongs here, they don’t own her down there.” he said. “And that she is a strong brave young lady. She’s right, you all can’t keep treating her like a child now. I know it’s because you want to protect her, but she is different now and she can figure out herself what she wants to do with her life. Okay?”
I stared at him for a moment before nodding, “Okay.”
“And remember, I’m watching. I’m still with you all.” he said and I nodded, hugging him.

“We can be adults about this.” I said as I walked into the kitchen where Dante was sitting. It was early in the morning and I found him in the kitchen. I was a morning person, I’m always up before everyone and I heard him waking up panting, afraid. “It never happened.”
He leaned back against the counter, his hands propped against them to hold him up, “It was just a kiss, nothing special.”
I nodded, “Right. You’re still meant to be with Nevaeh—“
He sighed heavily as he looked away, “Nevaeh doesn’t want me. No matter how hard I try, she doesn’t.”
“Well you have to give her time.” I said as I walked over to him. “She’s in a vulnerable state still, she isn’t sure what she wants but I’m sure she’ll come to realize—“
“Hadrian alive, she won’t stop at nothing until she’s with him again.” he said.
“And he’s with Senka.” I said. “Make her forget him.”
“I can’t do that.” he coldly said, surprising me. “The four months I’ve known her, she has such a thick skull and won’t listen to me. You need to stop playing match maker.” he said as picked up the mug of coffee and walked around me, walking out the kitchen and out the house.
I scoffed, walking out the kitchen and into the hallway. I walked over to the front door and walked out, closing it, “I’m doing what’s best for her.”
“I thought you stopped that.” he said, looking at me from the rail of the of the porch where he was sitting. “Stop butting into her life.”
“I’m letting her raise her child how she wants, but she need guidance.” I said as I walked over to him. “Maybe you never had to take care of anything in your life, but I had many life times of protecting things I love and Nevaeh is number one on my list.”
“Then why’d you kiss me?” he asked and I scoffed, looking away and chuckled. I couldn’t believe he brought that up after we both agreed it was nothing! “Don’t do that, tell me.” he coldly said. “Now thanks to you, I don’t know how I feel.”
I gave him a hard look, but kind of surprised and confused by what he said. No, he can’t be confused because his feelings belong to Nevaeh, not me. He set the coffee mug down and reached into his pocket, pulling out a cigarette.
After he lit it up, he took a drag and before taking it out of his mouth, “After Senka is gone, I’m out of here. I’m not going back to my uncle church.”
“Where are you going?” I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.
“Is that any of your business?” he asked. “Oh wait, is that the wrong thing to say to an Angel?”
I scoffed, “You really are a obnoxious.” I said and he grinned.
“And you’re prepossessing.” he said and I gave him a hard look. “I’m going to vanish off the face of the earth where neither you or Nevaeh could ever find me.”
“I wouldn’t look for you.” I said, shrugging as I dropped my arms from my chest.
He grinned, “Good.” he said as he hopped off the rail and walked over to me. “Because I don’t need anything that is to good for me to come looking for me.”
“Why do you say that?” I asked. “You shouldn’t think so low of yourself, Dante. You’re not a bad man, even if you think you are.”
“I don’t believe I deserve to be in the Kingdom of God.” he said. “I’m scared of what’s going to happen when I’m dead. My body is going to be control by some evil entity and my soul? Well, I guess I’ll find out later. You are light at the end of a tunnel, Aracelia.”
“You shouldn’t say words you don’t know, Dante.” I said. “Don’t sweet talk to me and my daughter.”
I turned around but he grabbed my arm, pulling me back around, “When Senka gone, I’m out of here.” he said, confusing me since he just repeated himself. “I’m going to vanish off the face of the earth where neither you or Nevaeh could ever find me.”
“Dante? Let go.” I said as put my hand on his wrist to let go.
He put his hands on my waist and pulled me close to him that our bodies were touching before he kissed me. I took in a sharp breath of surprise as I placed my hands on his chest, pushing myself away. I stared up at him surprise since—I couldn’t believe he had the confidence to do that. I’ve been on this plant for a long, long time and no one has ever just grabbed me and just kiss me.
It made my heart beat quickly.
He pressed his lips down against mine when I didn’t push him away like I knew I was suppose to but—I didn’t. I just didn’t and it was wrong of me. I haven’t been kissed since Eric, I thought he would be my last kiss I would get. That’s how in love with him I was.
I put one hand behind his neck and the other on his cheek as I pressed my mouth closer to his. His arms went around my waist and I felt so nice to be in someone arms again. Loving as I have, it can be lonely and it’s always nice to be in a strong pair of arms.
“Well look at you baby sister.” I heard someone deep voice and I jumped away from Dante. I looked out into the front yard and saw Serpahiel—another last person I expected to see. “Kissing mortals huh?”
“Seraphiel?” I questioned. “Wha—why are you here? I thought you refuse to associate with us.”
“I needed to find you all.” he said.
Arching my eyebrow, I turned my head to the side a little, “I’m sorry? You need us?”
He gave me a hard look, “Do not question me, I need to find Senka Dashwood and I do not know where to start. I heard rumors of a group of surviving Nephilim locating into a California town. It wasn’t hard to find where you all were.”
Crossing my arms over my chest, “Why? What does the all mighty Seraphiel need?”
“Do not be cold, it has been a long, long time since Michael choose me to stand by his side when the Rebellion happened. I was a better fighter then you.” he said.
I scoffed, “Right, that was a long, long, long time ago and I would be damned if I still cared about that.” I said. “Why are you here?”
He stared at me for a moment, “I met a women—“ I cut him off when I started laughing. He gave me a hard look that made me stop, “She is carrying my child and Senka had his Snakes take her. I need to find her.”
+Nevaeh.+
“All these Angels coming around,” Dante said as he drove. “None of them are like what I expected, expect that Seraphiel man.”
“I felt the house had a much different feeling when I woke up.” I said as I read the maternal book about pregnancy. “Would it be weird if I told you about my dream? Would you believe me?”
I felt his eyes on me for a second, “Depends. What was it about?”
“I was in heaven.” I said and he chuckled. “Serious, Dante.” I said as I lowered the book and looked at him. “I was in actually heaven, Azariah took me there. Only Witches could do that with spells, but he did it easily without even knowing how to. I saw my dad, he told me things about Azariah.”
“Like?” he asked. “Are you serious?”
“Yes, I am.” I said. “There’s many things Azariah can apparently do, things Azariah doesn’t even know yet.”
“Well, what he say?” he asked.
“He’s God new creation.” I said and his arched his eyebrow at me, giving me a like I told him a confusing joke. “Serious, he his. He’s a Salvator and suppose to do something amazing. Something not even a Angel can destroy but it won’t happen for awhile.”
“You’re not joking, are you?” he asked and I shook my head.
“How do you tell a mother that?” I asked.
“Well, I wouldn’t know.” he said. “At least you know Azariah isn’t anything bad, he’s a good kid.”
“A kid who I’ll have to keep my eyes on for a long time to help him. He’ll do so many things, good and bad that’ll I’ll have to help him control.” I said. “Where were you this morning?”
“Running.” he said. “That Angel Seraphiel was giving me weird looks, I wasn’t going to stay there with him there—holy shit!”
My quickly turned to look straight ahead when Dante car went flying to the right as he pressed his foot against the brakes since they’re was a figure in the middle of the road of someone. The car stopped a few feet away from the man and we looked at him.
My heart stopped a beat since the man was the last person I expected.
“Nevaeh, don’t get out the car.” Dante said but I didn’t listen to him.
I pressed the red button on my seatbelt and opened the door. I walked in front of the car and pressed my hand against the hood, looking at Hadrian as if I expected him to disappear but he didn’t. He was dressed the same as he did. Dark color button shirt and jeans with combat boots. He looked so young and tan, like he’s been feeding pretty fine.
“Hadrian?” I questioned as I walked over to him.
I heard the car door open and Dante grabbed me by the arm, pulling me back, “Don’t.” he said but I snatched my arm back and ran over to Hadrian.
I stared at him and he stared back at me. I looked all over him, expecting to find something wrong about him but I didn’t. “Hadrian.” I said as I grabbed onto his shirt and pressed myself against him, hugging him. “Where have you been?” I asked, my arms sliding around his waist. “Why didn’t you go into my dreams and let me know your okay? I was so scared.” I said, squeezing my eyes as tears slid down my face. I felt his hands go on my shoulders and he pushed me away. I took in a sharp breath, looking at him surprised. Feeling like a mirror being smashed, I was hurt. “Wh—Hadrian?“
He reached out and roughly grabbed my arm, “You’re coming with me.” he said, pulling me away.
“Hey!” I heard Dante and he ran over, ripping me away from Hadrian.
I stared at Hadrian as he turned around, glaring at us with a such a gold look I haven’t seen him give me since the beginning when we first met. He hasn’t looked at me like such a long time, with hate. I thought back to what Azariah and my dad about Hadrian not being himself. Is that what they meant? Him hating me?
I took a step forward, “Hadrian—“ I was pulled back from Dante and my head turned around. He shook his head and I stared at him for a moment, knowing he was right that I shouldn’t try anything that I might regret.
“Nevaeh, bella mia.” I heard Hadrian and I looked at him. He gave me a soft smile, holding his hand out, “Come with me, we’ll go somewhere safe together. Just me and you to raise Azariah somewhere safe. Just the both of us.”
“Nevaeh, be smart.” Dante said. “He just shows back up? You don’t think that’s strange?”
“I escaped.” Hadrian said. “We’ll go somewhere where Senka will never find us. We’ll get married and be a family liked we planned. Uccellina, I love you.”
Dante went close behind me, “Nevaeh, be smart.”
“Nevaeh, I promised it would be you and I forever. I don’t ever want to break that promise.” he said. “I love you.”
“Where were you?” I asked him. “Why haven’t you made any kind of contact with me?”
“Senka threatened you if I tried.” he said. “I have messed you so much, Uccellina. Please, we’ll be keeping each other safe if we just go now together.”
“Azariah told me—“
“Azariah will have both his parents together again.” he said. “You and I, raising it as we want.”
“It?” I questioned.
His eyes widen slightly and he chuckled, “Him, we’ll be raising him as we want. Nevaeh, we don’t have time. We must go now.” he said, holding his hand out wider. “Come on, I love you.”
Stepping back, I shook my head, “No.”
“No?” he questioned. He laughed, “Did you say no? It’s me, Nevaeh. Come.”
“No, I don’t believe you.” I said.
He looked behind me, “Is it because of him?” he asked, referring to Dante with a cold look. He dropped his hand and scoffed, “So you have choose him over me.”
“No, of course not.” I said.
“Then come on.” he said.
“Go away, Hadrian.” I said and his lips pressed tightly together.
He walked over to us and grabbed my arm. Dante swung his arm out but Hadrian blocked it, grabbing his arm, bring his foot under Dante. Dante fell to the ground and Hadrian brought his foot up.
“No!” I yelled but Hadrian slammed his foot down on Dante face, knocking him out. Hadrian started pulling me away and I struggled to get out, “No! Hadrian, stop! Don’t do this, please!”
He stopped and grabbed my face roughly, making me look up at him, “I promised you and I together, did I not?”
“You aren’t yourself.” I said, trying to snatch my arm back. “What did Senka do to you?”
“Helping me see the truth.” he said, roughly put his hand behind my neck and forced me to walk forward. “Don’t worry, bella mia. You and I will be together now, like I promised.”
