Dante looked up at the swings carousel before looking down at me and grinned. My eyes widen and I shook my head, “No! I'm tired of going up in the air.”

“It'll be fun.” he said, grabbing my hand and dragged me over to the line.

“No!” I hissed as I broke my arm free and turned to fun, but he wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up off my feet. “No! I don't like heights!”

“You're going to be fine.” he said. “We have just been walking around for the last hour and I didn't spend twenty dollars for tickets for nothing. Come on, it'll be fun.”

“I-I'll throw up.” I said. “I had a hamburger, it wont be pretty in the end.”

I opened my mouth to speak but I saw someone in the corner of my eyes. I turned my head and saw Lori. She was walking down this way with Jackson. She was laughing with him and before I could let her see me, I forced Dante arms off me and I went behind him since he was huge like a mountain. I knew she hated me and I didn't want to deal with the awkwardness.

“Wh-what are you doing?” Dante asked as he tried to move away.

I put my hands on his waist and forced him to stay where he was, “Don't move! Old friend coming this way and she hates me.”

“The red head?” he asked.

“Yes, so shut up!” I hissed at him, slapping his head. “If she sees me, this will be so awkward because the last time—“

“Nevaeh?” I heard Lori and I cringed as my eyes squeezed tightly, wishing I could disappear. “Nevaeh, is that you?”

I forced my back up and I stepped from behind Dante, forcing a big smile on my face, “Lori! Hey, how are you?”

“Fine.” she said and her eyes traveled down to my stomach. Her eyes quickly came up to my face and she looked at Dante, her eyes coming back to me, “I didn't think you'll be here.”

“Of course I would, I come every year.” I said. “Jackson, hey, how are you?”

“I'm good.” he said. “How are you? I see there's a bun in the oven.”

“Oh yeah, due in April.” I said. “You two look great together, don't hurt her or I’ll have to hurt you.” I jokingly said as I chuckled, hitting his arm. Oh God, just kill me now! I'm just making this even more awkward.

“Where's Hadrian?” she asked.

“Hmm?” I asked, pretending as if I didn't hear her. I wanted to run away so bad or hide my face under a paper bag.

“Hadrian.” she said. She looked up at Dante, “Who's this?”

“Oh! This is Dante.” I said as I held my hand out towards Dante. “He's a friend of mine. Right?” I asked Dante as I pushed him forward.

Dante cleared his throat and smiled, “Hi, nice to meet a friend of Nevaeh.”

“Uh-huh.” Lori said. She looked at me, “Well, see you around I guess.”

I frowned but quickly forced a smile on my face, “Right—Lori,” I said when she started walking away. She stopped and turned to face me, “You're still my best friend, even it's rough right now.” She just forced a smile on her face and nodded before turning back around, leaving with Jackson. I groaned, throwing my head back, and cursed. “I meant to say something totally different.”

“Why aren't you and red head besties anymore?” Dante asked. “I have a feeling it's because of Hadrian.”

“Long story.” I said. “I wanna go on the ride now.” I said to avoid telling him. We moved up in the line and when the chairs got empty. I walked over to a red one and looked at it, hesitating. I wasn't lying when I said I was tried of being in the air. Maybe this was a bad idea.

I felt Dante hands go on my waist and he turned me around, lifting me up, and placed me on the seat, “This is nothing. You were dropped from fifty feet in the air already.” he said.

“I'm not a child.” I said stubbornly as I looked up at him. I closed the gate of the chair and took deep breaths as Dante look the seat next to me. “This is going to be fun. It's not even high, Nevaeh.” I said to myself to calm my nerve. “I'm surprise you can fit in that chair.” I said to Dante.

Dante snorted, “My ass isn't huge, Nevaeh.”

“I'm surprise you care so much to know.” I said.

“Hmm, I wonder if that means you know.” he said, grinning at me and I gave him a hard look, opening my mouth but he spoke before me. “Hey, it's alright. I've been told before.”

“Oh shut up.” I said. “No one has been looking at your butt, so don't make your head even bigger then it is.” I felt the chair jerk as it moved and I quickly grabbed onto the rails of the swing, holding on tightly for my life as it moved. Last time I was in the air, I fell.

I was laughing with Rafael as we spun the teacups quickly. It was much easier to turn then it was last year where two of my friends were helping me. I was having much more fun then I thought I would. I'm glad Rafael talked me into coming out of the basement. I would have been home all depressed if he didn't talk me into coming.

When it was over, Rafael was a little dizzy as he got off. I chuckled as I put his arm around my shoulder and help steady him. We walked over to Victurus who was sitting at a bench waiting for us. Rafael sat down next to him and I sat down next to Rafael.

“So you never been to a fair?” I asked Rafael.

“Eh, when I little.” he said. “No to much. It is fun.”

“Well maybe you can go to the next month next year.” I said. “If you guys will still be here.”

“After we get rid of Senka, we are going home to Peru.” Victurus said and Rafael frowned. “Que?” Victurus asked Rafael.

Rafael shrugged, “Nada.”

They started arguing right there. I got some of it. Victurus asked about going back to Rafael mother side and Peru is his home. Rafael wanted to finish school here, it would be better for him. They continued to argue and I didn't want them to argue. It was awkward and I didn't want them to fight because of wanting to stay or not.

I coughed loudly, grabbing their attention, “Who's hungry? I'm hungry.”

We went to a booth and I got a cheeseburger. I was hungry, so I ate it pretty fast and I got a another one with fries. My stomach was getting so small, it was almost hallow kind of. Aracelia told me I have to eat allot, it what wolves do to stay strong but when it comes to full moon time, I need to eat very less. I lost allot of weight quickly the first full moon and I looked so sick. I like looking healthy, so I didn't have a probably eating the cheese fries.

“So wait, you know three languages?” I asked Rafael when he told me his mother was a Quechua, natives living in South America.

“My mother go to school with the Spanish.” he said. “She talk Quechuan, she uh, uh teach me some.”

“His grandmother taught him allot more when she passed when Rafael was eight.” Victurus said. “Her family didn't like me, but Ninasisa and I were so in love she left with me. When she passed, I wanted her to be buried where her home is and Rafael was able to get close to his mother side. He looked allot like me, but he was the only thing they had left of her. His grandmother taught him allot of their language. His first language is Spanish though.”

“And now you're learning English?” I asked and he nodded.

“Why I should stay.” Rafael said as he looked at his dad before looking back at me with a smile. “Peru, no one speak English. Here I practice more.”

“You can't stay because of a girl, Rafael.” Victurus said and Rafael gave his father a hard look, his face redden. I just shyly looked down at my half eaten burger. “You're to young, the two of you.”

“Pa!” Rafael hissed coldly at his dad.

“Que? You wanted to practice your English so what is the problem?” Victurus said amused.

After we finished eating and having the watchful eye of Victurus on us, I pointed up at the Ferris Wheel, “Wanna go on?”

“Okay.” Rafael said.

We waited for our turned and I saw Rafael eyes light up when he realize the chairs were for two people only. He turned to his father and grinned, telling him what he realize. He grabbed my hand by my surprise and my face heated up as he pulled me over towards the chair. I let me go in first and feeling my hand sweating, it took my hand out of his because I didn't want him to feel my wet hand.

Not wanting it to be awkward, I spoke, “You're not scared?”

He shook his head, “No, I like it. You scared?”

I shook my head and smiled, “No.” I turned my head and looked around at the fair. The sun was going down now and most of the lights were on. There was a breeze as we got higher and it felt nice. My body temperature has gone up and I know because now whenever I touch someone, they always feel a little colder even though they weren't cold since summer isn't over yet.

I couldn't stop myself from looking at Rafael in the corner of my eyes a few times. He was looking out at the fair to. My hands were nervously on my lap. Was this a date? Most dates usually don't have a parent along keeping their eyes on their child. I never been on a date before, so I wasn't sure and it wasn't like I was going to ask. He probably say no.

Haidar couldn't stop himself from appearing in my mind. All I could feel now was hatred for him and I’m glad I killed him. I know I was scared when I did it, but now I'm glad I did it. I wanted to do it. I'm looked at Rafael who was the opposite of Haidar. Haidar was cold and mean, Rafael was sweet and gentle. He was handsome to and I saw some of the girls I gone to school with look at him. Rafael was sixteen, but he was a good height, standing at five nine. His skin was tan and clear from any imperfection.

Rafael looked at me and I didn't have time to look away, so I just awkwardly smiled. He looked down at where his father was waiting for us at the rail, looking up at us. Rafael looked back at me and smiled. He leaned closer to me and my smile lowered at my eyes widen. He then reached up, confusing me until he touched something on my face. He took the piece of loose hair off my cheek and I felt like an idiot thinking he was going to kiss me. Rafael wouldn't do that, we barley know each other. Sure, I thought he was cute but doesn't mean he wanted to kiss me.

I could feel someone behind me. I had put myself in someone dreaming of this island near Italy. It was a nice island to relax on and I wish I could just stay here forever. The human couldn't wake up unless I leave, so I could if I wanted but I knew Senka could also enter the same dream and I have a job to do.

I propped myself up and turned my head. I saw a little boy and he looked upset as he looked back at me. I grimace at him, “What do you want?”

Papa, why haven't you seen mama?” he asked.

Go away.” I said.

He blinked over his green eyes, “But, she misses you.”

It was all fake kid.” I said. “I couldn't stand her so go away.”

That's not true.” he said and I glared coldly at the little brat. He moved over next to me and sat down, “Mama misses you, she wants you to let her know you are okay.”

Get out of my dreams, you don't know anything.” I said. “It was fake. Sorry to crush your childhood so early, but it's true. I was told to help conceive you so I did it.”

Mama is with him.” he said and my eyebrows furrowed. “The man, Dante. They spend allot of time together and I don't like it. I want you to be with her.”

You just aren't listening, are you?” I asked. “I don't love her, I never have.” I started to stand up, kneeling down and hovered over him, “I don't love you, I never will. It was all fake.”

He's lying to you.” he said and my eyebrows furrowed together. “The man, Senka.”

I grabbed the child by his gray t-shirt, “Look kid—“

Azariah, my name is Azariah.” he said. “You named me.”

I didn't name anyone.” I said.

You did, he made you think you didn't.” he said and I glared coldly at him. He reached up and touched my face. I jerked, ready to push the little Hybrid away until an imagine appeared in my mind. It was of Nevaeh and I laying in a bed. She was sleeping, her head resting on my chest. I was thinking of how beautiful she was. The imagine changed to us playing around on the couch and I was tickling her small baby bump, making her giggle. I was actually smiling, laughing. All these different images and thoughts appeared in my head until I let go of the Azariah t-shirt and he fell back down on the sand. I stood up and shook my head, “No, no you are lying to me. I know the truth!”

No, papa you don't.” he said. “You love us.”

No!” I coldly yelled. I closed my eyes and forced myself out of the dream.

My eyes opened quickly and I sprung forward, breathing heavenly. I could feel eyes on me but I ignored them. I closed my eyes and rubbed them with the palm of my hand. Little brat is just trying to trick me. I know the truth. Everything with that Nephilim Nevaeh was fake. I ran my hand threw my hair and sat up.

I opened my eyes to see Haidar and Rien giving me a questionable look. We were on a privet plane to Hawaii to go find this women. I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. So many things were running threw my mind. All I could see was the little boy and the images he should me. I could actually feel the things he was making me. They couldn't be true, I have never fell in love with her. Senka never played with my memories. I have been living in his court for the last twenty years. Haidar was going to going to do the job, but he didn't want to do it so I stepped in. I wanted to prove I could do this job without any failure and I did it.

I know the truth.
