I woke up from the nightmare and quickly sat up. My chest was going up and down quickly as it raced and I could feel the sweat on my forehead. I ran my hand threw my damp hair and sighed heavily. I calmed my beating racing heart though and looked around the hallway of Courtney mom house. I couldn't afford to stay at a motel anymore since I hadn't gotten a job because I refused to leave. So much of the space here was taken. Nevaeh was sharing a room with Nellie. Down stair on the couch is where Carter and Gaspar was staying. Saya and Uriah was in the dinning room, the large table being taken out so they could make room for them. Victurus and his son Rafael was staying at hotel along with Leo and his daughter Damini, but they come here every morning.

I grabbed the pillow I had and laid back down on the floor. I closed my eyes, ready to back to sleep but I knew it wasn't going to happen. I could never go back to sleep after he visits me. I laid on my back and stared up at the wall and so many thoughts rushed threw my mind. Why is always when your laying down so many things rush threw your head? No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about everything.

My body jerked when I heard a door opened and I propped myself up on my elbow, turning my head around to see Nevaeh walking out of her room. My eyebrows furrowed together confused as I walked her go over to a wall and she just stood there. Her head than started to twirl around in a circle while she hummed. It was kind of freaky watching her.

I got up from the floor and walked over her to her, “Nevaeh?”

She just started swaying her body. I finally looked at her face and saw her eyes open, but they were very blank. I heard someone walk up the steps and I saw Aracelia. She looked at Nevaeh concern before she walked over to her other side. She brought her finger up to her mouth and made a 'shh'. She put her arm around Nevaeh shoulders and made her turn around, leading her back into her own bedroom.

I watched as Aracelia helped Nevaeh back into bed and cover her in her blankets. She walked out of the room and slowly closed the door. She turned and gave me a stiff smile before nodding, “Don't wake up a sleepwalker, they can get violent. Exceptionally one that's a Hunter.”

“Well, that would be bad then. Girl almost broke my nose with one punch.” I said.

She smiled a little, “She is a tough one, I'm proud of her.”

“Seems like you two can't be in the same room though unless she's asleep.” I said. She gave me a hard look before turning, walking over towards the stairs case. I sighed and walked behind her, “Sorry, sorry I guess I shouldn't talk like that around an Angel.”

“Worried your soul won't make it to heaven?” she asked coldly as she went down the staircase and I followed behind.

“My body is cursed,” I said as we made it downstairs and she went into the kitchen. I leaned against the frame, “I'm lucky if my soul makes it to Heaven.”

“You're soul doesn't belong to him.” she said as she opened the coffee maker lid and changed the coffee grounds as she spoke. “You just gotta work a little hard for Him to trust you into Heaven.”

“And how do I do that?” I asked. “All mighty Angel.”

A small grin appeared on her face, “You don't wanna know what I would consider doing because I don't know if she would ever get him out of her mind.” I gave her a confused look and she scoffed, chuckling, “I know how you look at Nevaeh, Dante. What I think He would like is for you marry her. Or maybe I would just like that.” she said, shrugging.

“Don't you think marriage would be a little quick?” I asked.

She rolled her eyes, chuckling, “I'm still stuck up in the old days. Apology’s Dante. You're soon to be a priest anyways.”

I groaned and walked over to the counter to stand next to her, leaning against it and rest my elbow down on it, “I don't want to. I can't runaway from it though it seems.”

“That would be a good way to buy yourself into Heaven.” she said.

“I don't think I can become a priest now.” I said. “Before I hated it, but I think Nevaeh to nave still to be out there. She isn't experience enough.”

“She has Carter to protect her, he given his life up to her before already that day he died and he was brought back.” she said. “And I don't think Nevaeh will be doing much hunting now that she carrying that thing.”

“You really hate the kid.” I said and a hard look appeared on her face. “You don't even know how he's going to be.”

She scoffed, “Don't take their side, Dante. The thing father is a creator who's kind should have never been made.”

“You just gotta accept it because he's going to come.” I said. “I can see how much Nevaeh loves the kid.”

“He's the Antichrist.” she said and that just amused me, making me laugh. “Stop laughing.” she coldly said. “It's true.”

“He's a baby.” I said. “Who will be a quarter Angel. It's not like he's going to come out breathing fire.”

“But he'll do evil viscous things.” she said. “He is nothing but a Combion in my eyes.”

“How do you know that?” I asked, raising my eyebrows curious. “Have you ever met one of his kind?”

“No, but I know it.” she said. “Like his father, he will be evil—“

“He has jumped in front of Nevaeh allot of times.” I said and her eyebrows furrowed together. I stood up, “I may have hated his guts, but I did see how much he cared for her. I found it disgusting but I can't say he didn't care. You just gotta remember this kid also has part of Nevaeh. A good part. I can see already how much Nevaeh loves the kid, why can't you?”

“I rather her have a normal kid.” she said. “He's sinful.”

“He's a baby, an innocent baby being brought into this world.” I said. “I use to think I was sinful and maybe I still do because I’m damned. I'm spending the rest of my life fighting for my pass into Heaven. I can only imagine how he feels.”

“Make Nevaeh forgot about Hadrian Falco and you be with her. He'll need a father and I feel like no one else can do a better job than you.” she said and I started laughing again.

“Me?” I questioned as I pointed my finger at my chest and she nodded. “I'm in no way ready to become a father. The only father I’m becoming is one dressed in all black chanting on weekends.”

A grin formed on her angelic face, “I think you put here on Earth for a reason, Dante. Your soul I mean and it's not to become a priest.”

“Oh, then what huh? Become a step dad?” I questioned. “I'm twenty-one, I can't—“

“Nevaeh really needs someone here to be with. A man to help her. She's fragile right now and one touch, she can crumble.” she said. “You're right, this child is innocent and deserve a father.”

Realizing she was throwing my words back in my face, I scoffed, “I can't.”

“Why not?” she asked. “I would feel allot better knowing this child has someone good helping him grow up.”

“He'll know I’m not his dad and he'll despise me. He knows who his father is.” I said.

“Show him your a good guy.” she said.

“Nevaeh was in love with Hadrian, she isn't going to forget him so easily.”

“I know, but you have to show her moving on is a good thing.” she said. She then frowned, “History repeating itself in a way.” she said as she lowered her eyes a little, fill with sadness. “I had to see Eric move on with Sierra. He was much happier with her and I preferred it that way then being with me. Only in a couple of more years I would be mistaken as his daughter. Help her move on.”

“Aracelia, I—“

“I have faith you can do it.” she said. “Hadrian Falco is gone, you're still here.”

I pressed my fingers down on the white keys on the pianos. I was so focused on the song I didn't realize someone had came into the ballroom until the door slammed closed. My fingers stopped and my mouth pressed stiffly together and I slammed my hands down on the keys in frustration because whoever it was missed me up!

I turned on the bench, glaring at Senka, the Demon Haidar, and my brother Rien.

Senka smiled was big like always like some business man dressed in an expensive suit. He walked over towards me, “Hadrian, what a beautiful song you were writing.” He had a cream color folder in his hand and he held it out towards me, so I took it and opened it. I saw a picture with a women. She had russet color skin, long dark wavy hair, and she was beautiful. It was a full length picture of her looking towards the way of camera, but not looking directly at it.

“I don't understand.” I said as I closed the cream color folder.

“Her names Alma, she lives in Hawaii. She's pregnant with the Angel Seraphiel child.” he said.

“Seraphiel?” I questioned and he nodded. “I thought he was just some old legend. Face like an Angel, body of an eagle.”

“Beautiful as lightning and the morning star.” Haidar said.

“And the Angel of Purification.” Rien said. “And he's real as ever.”

“He wasn't banish from Heaven.” Senka said. “God sent him hear during the medieval times to rid the world of harsh times. It seems like he hasn't left and been keeping busy with a native from Hawaii.”

“And you want me to go get her and bring her here?” I asked and he grinned. I looked at Haidar and Rien, making his grin widen, “I don't need a team, I can do it myself.”

“I'm not asking, I’m telling you.” he said. “Seraphiel sees you, he'll kill you without hesitation. Many stories of him being able to throw fire—a great fire from his body was told. You need help and I don't want any argument. I want her here in more than two days.” he said as he turned and left.

“It is okay.” Rafael said. “You come.”

I pulled my arm away and shook my head, “No, to many people will be there. That's bad for me.”

“Please.” he said as he lowered next to the bed. “You my friend, right?”

I sat up and walked over to the window in the basement, “It's dangerous, Rafael. I might...I might hurt someone.” I said as I lifted myself up on the palm of my feet and looked out into the front yard. Today was the fair and everyone in Charleston is going send school starts in two weeks. Everyone in the house was going since it was something to do and to get out of the house. I didn't want to go though, it was to scary for me to be around all those people still. “One smell of blood and I go crazy.”

“I stay here then.” he said and I turned my head around. He pulled the chair over and sat down, “No fair, I stay with you.”

I turned to face him and scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest, “No, you go. Have fun.”

“No without you.” he said stubbornly. “You are my friend, I no go without you.”

I scoffed and shook my head at him.

I threw on my shirt and turned on my side. I rubbed my fifteen week baby bump. It was becoming more noticeable and it was perfectly round, letting everyone know I was pregnant. I rubbed my stomach and sighed heavily.

“We're leaving!” Uncle Carter hallowed to me, Nellie, Gaspar, and Uriah since we were all upstairs. “Ready or not, we're leaving without you.”

“Hey, no sad faces.” Nellie said as she came over to me. “Nothing but smiles.”

“I know,” I said. “Just. . .my bed seemed so comfy.”

She gave me a small smile, “One day at a time, Nevaeh. I can finally smile after what happened to Ricky.”

“I noticed, I’m sure he's happy about that.” I said and she nodded. “You've been spending allot of time with Malachi, how's that going?”

“It's been,” she paused for a moment and chuckled. “Weird. It's not as awkward it use to be anymore. I haven't been treated like a kid for awhile, he thinks I’m still eight.”

“He loves you.” I said. “Is he coming to the fair?”

She nodded, “Yes.”

“Van is getting pack, so if you want to end up walking hurry your slow asses up!” Uncle Carter said and I rolled my eyes.

We walked out of my room and went downstairs. My head turned a little when I heard the basement door opened and I saw Rafael come out. I turned all the way and saw Courtney come out. She was dressed in her pretty blue sundress with a white bolero. I smiled since I hadn't seen her since her first full moon and that was a good three days. She looked so pretty and alive.

I looked at Rafael who was looking at Courtney and I wanted to cry at how sweet it was. Courtney was blushing deeply, avoiding all our gazes and I just wanted to giggle at how cute my sister is. She seemed more like herself at the moment.

Damini ran off with her hand in her father once they got ticket, going over to the first ride that was nearest. She was excited, I could see it in her pretty blue eyes. Leo had to pull her away since she was pushing herself furrowed the crowd. Her fixed her scarf around her head and told her to wait for her turn.

Gaspar, Uriah, and Uncle Carter went on their way to find food. Aracelia looked at me and I lowered my head. I heard her sigh as she walked away with my mom and Saya. Nellie went off with Malachi, continuing to talk about stuff of what's been happening in her life so they could get to know each other. Victurus had Rafael go with him, but he asked if Courtney could come. Victurus was a little hesitant but let her come.

So I was here at the entrance. Alone with Dante. I stood awkwardly there as I looked around. I saw the same people I knew most of my life. I saw old people from school and some said 'hey' to me as they went passed. Lot of the girls were ogling their eyes at Dante. No Demon would risk their secret to do something stupid, so we knew it would be safe here in public.

“Are you hungry?” Dante asked, surprising with since he had no smart comment.

“I can find myself around and figure out what to do.” I said. I looked around to find someone I know to get away from Dante but I wasn't close to many of the people I went to school with. I saw Nick at one of the booths but he was with a short blonde hair girl. He was grinning down at her since he had made the dark hit all the balloons and she rolled her eyes, smiling up at him.

Dante walked ahead and I crossed my arms over my chest stubbornly. I quickly looked around again just in case if there was someone but there wasn't and I didn't want to walk around alone. A Demon might not something to cause a big seen, but doesn't mean it was safe to be alone. I cursed and ran up next to Dante side. I watch him grinned and I huffed heavily out my nose, “Don't grin, we have to be in pairs fat head.”
