Two years had passed ever since I moved to my new hometown, attending a new school for my middle school education and also befriending my very first friend, Kirishima Eijirou.

I thought I would adjust myself in settling in another city ever since I got here but thankfully, it still feels the same especially when I roam around the city, neighborhood and visit convenience stores.

As for my first day experience in my school, it was quite interesting.

Meeting and befriending Kirishima is already a given but once both of us stepped inside our classroom and I stood in front of my new classmates so I can introduce myself, some were actually happy to see me, especially the boys.

I was able to make more friends besides Kirishima and I even get to befriend this girl named Ashido, who is actually a cool and fun girl to hang out with.

However, there are those who are bullies and one of them tried to flirt of me which is a bother but thanks to Kirishima, he helped me push them away with me.

Kirishima was impressed during that time since he saw me trying to convince the bullies to leave me alone by glaring at them but of course, he even told me in advance that if ever they do anything drastic than that, I will let him know.

Besides everything, my school life was great and manageable.

We're already in our 3rd year in middle school right now and graduation is slowly coming in one months prior so I guess it signals us to say goodbye to our middle school life and say hello to our high school life.

We even received a form of which school will we go for high school four weeks ago and of course, my choice is going to be U.A. Academy and nothing else.

As for Kirishima, however, he's been having a rollercoaster ride in his head ever since and told me that he's unsure of going to U.A. Academy too.

"I...I don't know, (Y/N). I was a coward for not being able to help those girls! I...I can't believe I hesitated...I wanted to be a manly pro hero just like my idol, Crimson Riot but...but...the chivalry is not in me. Why did I hesitate?! I don't know if I deserve to be in U.A. if I'm like this...."

Kirishima cried in my arms after everything he told me from the day after the incident with that giant asking for directions happen and it was quite a shock since I never since this side of him before but I understand how it feels.

I did my best to cheer him up because I hate to see him like that so during those days, I treat him something to eat and even bring him to the park so he can clear his head a bit.

In the end, there was improvement and thanked me for supporting him even though it was so "unmanly" for me to witness.

Speaking of which, I wonder how is he.

Today is suppose to be the day we're suppose to submit our forms and thinking about his decision is nerve wrecking and intense.

Will he go to U.A. Academy just like he wished for?

Or would he go to a different hero school?

I sighed just thinking about it before I finally arrive at the school faculty so I can submit my form since the deadline is already close.

Just when I was about to turn right that leads to the faculty, I heard loud steps that sounded like someone is running.

Concerned, I turned around and my eyes widened when I saw Kirishima with a determined smile on his face.

"(Y/N)!!"

"Kiri!"

He stopped right in front of me and panted before wiping his sweat.

"Eh, you're going to submit your form already?", I questioned him.

"Yeah, you bet I am. In fact...", Kirishima said and lifted his head before showing his form to me, "...I already made up my mind, (Y/N)".

My eyes widened when I saw how crumbled the form is but the writings of "U.A. Academy" is still present on the paper.

"Wait...are you saying...", I said and stopped my words there when I looked at him.

He gave me a determined nod and gave me a thumbs up.

"That's right, I decided to go to U.A. Academy and chase my dream to becoming a manly pro hero!!", Kirishima said and grinned at me.

My eyes sparkled the moment I heard his reply that I ended up grinning from ear to ear and jumping from where I'm standing.

"That's great to hear, Kiri! I'm so happy that you're all better now!", I replied and clasped my hands together, "How did you-WOAH!".

"i'll explain after we submit these forms! Come on, (Y/N)!"

With that, he dragged me all the way to the school faculty just so we can finally submit our forms.

"Ikadakimasu!"

After school, we decided to eat somewhere before heading home since Kirishima wanted to return the favor when I cheered him up.

He was pretty elated about it since he wanted talk about the things he wanted to do and he's hoping we'll be able to be classmates again if we're both accepted in U.A.

"I wasn't expecting this but thank you for treating me, Kirishima-kun", I said before I started eating my ramen.

"Hehe, it's all thanks to you to be honest. I mean, you gave me emotional support and big push too so I can get my head together", Kirishima said and slurped the soup from his ramen bowl.

"Eh, didn't you say you got back to your senses after you watched Crimson Riot's interview again?", I questioned and tilted my head to the side.

He chuckled and gently patted my shoulder before replying, "You're right about that but you're part of it too!".

I smiled after hearing his reply that thoughts began to wonder in my head as we both ate our bowls of ramen.

'My middle school life became a lot more interesting ever since I bumped into him on that rainy day', I thought as I slurped my ramen noodles, 'I knew on that day that he plans to become a great pro hero someday and it turns out I was right after he told me his dreams'.

"Mmmm, so good!", Kirishima told himself as he enjoyed his food happily.

'He may be a friendly and chivalrous to manliness sort of guy but deep down, he doubts about his quirk and capabilities since he stated that it's not the flashiest quirk and sometimes he's hard on himself on certain situations but...', my thoughts continued as I ate my ramen, 'But he became a strong willed person and stayed determined so that thought won't cross his mind. Never giving up on his dreams in life and not to mention, he is responsible too'.

I smiled just having those thoughts about him in my mind and gently drank some of the soup of my ramen while Kirishima is getting some gyoza, which is our side dish.

 'I am...actually really lucky to have a guy like him in my life. I never met someone like him before', I thought as smile widened, 'He's so outgoing, kind, makes your day bright, funny and not to mention he's-'

"(Y/N)?! Is something the matter?"

I nearly spat my drink when Kirishima was already calling my attention but thankfully, I didn't embarrass myself and fixed my composure immediately.

"A-Ahem", I said after turning to him while laughing shyly, "Sorry about that, I was just thinking about something".

"I see, haha. But is it something worrying you?", Kirishima replied and wore a worried expression, "You can tell me if you are willing! I mean, you helped me so I'll-"

"A-Ah no no! I don't have any worries at all! Hahaha!", I interrupted and smiled, "I'm fine, Kirishima. But thank you for looking after my well-being too".

Kirishima smiled after hearing my response and seeing my smile so he showed me a single nod and gave me a soft shoulder rub.

"Okay, (Y/N)! But I'm serious though, if there's anything troubling at you all, let me know!", Kirishima said before he continued eating his ramen.

I nodded with a shy smile and for some odd reason, after seeing him smile like that and the way he gave me that soft shoulder rub left my heart skip a beat.
