I stopped writing my notes on my notebook when I heard my cellphone ringing from my desk.

I quickly got up from my bed and walked towards my phone so I can answer it immediately.

Once I grabbed it, it turned out the caller was Kirishima.

My heart raced for a second but I remained calm and collected before I picked up the phone call.

"Hello?", I answered.

"Heyyy, (Y/N)!! Thank goodness, phew", Kirishima said and chuckled, "I was trying to call you if you're busy or not, haha. But looks like I'm lucky today!".

"Haha, of course, I'm not busy right now", I replied and grinned, "Anyway, what's up?".

...

...

Silence was present which is very unusual for the both of us since our conversations is continuous.

Just witnessing this first hand is slowly making me worried.

Random thoughts came rushing inside my head in an instant like "Is Eijirou having some problems with his family?", "Is Eijirou going through his hesitation nightmare again back when we are in middle school?" and so on.

No, it can't be.

Kirishima is a changed man and I can see that when I saw him with his awesome dyed red and spiky hair and his personality is much brighter than before too so it's impossible!

But those thoughts were cut off when he started to speak rather hesitantly and he was also laughing nervously.

"I...um...what should I say...OH! RIGHT!", Kirishima said and his charismatic voice finally came back to life, "I was actually wondering if you're free to go the amusement park with me!".

"Amusement park? This is unexpected, we just got back home from school and you should have just asked me in advance so we can go straight there-"

"I know, I know! It's really my bad but I...I just want to you...umm, you know...", Kirishima replied as he interrupted me from embarrassment, "Aghh, sorry if I really sound unmanly right now but...for real, I want us to hang out if that's okay with you, that is...haha".

I raised a brow from his unusual behavior that left me wondering of what he's thinking right now.

Then again, I do feel like hanging out with him right now and I want to know what's on his mind too, especially if what he's thinking is weighing him down.

"Sure, haha", I replied and smiled, "Lucky for you, I was actually planning to go out and-"

"GREAT! Let's meet there at the train station!", he interrupted me once again but his voice was filled with a lot of excitement and automatically hanged up.

I blinked a few times with bewilderment from what is happening right now and I ended up laughing.

Despite my concern for his unusual behavior right now, I am excited to hang out with him and I hope we might try playing at one of the new rides too.

...

"Alright, off we go!"

I finally finished getting ready and once I left the house, which is merely like ten minutes ago, I am now heading to the train station to meet Kirishima there.

While I was walking and running in between, the smile from my face from earlier didn't disappear and my heart is beating fast too.

'Damn, I better not feel flustered later or he'll know I have a thing for him', I thought to myself before I laughed to myself, 'Funny, it's still strange for him to arrange an unplanned hangout but...I'm really happy it happened'.

I continued to travel to my destination on foot and just when I was about to turned to the right, I was late to notice that the sky has started pouring and thanks to that, I slipped but thankfully, I was able to maintain my balance.

Man, this is what I get for thinking that deep while traveling but it's good thing my instincts instantly kicked in, otherwise I would have fell on my butt like last time.

I sighed with a slight of embarrassment before bringing out my umbrella so I can hover on top of me to avoid the rain from getting myself wet.

"Thank you so much, dear boy. You didn't have to"

"You're welcome, old lady! It was nothing and besides, that reckless driver has no road manners at all!"

I can hear a familiar male voice coming from the other side of the street so I decided to check it out to see who it belonged to.

When I arrived at the scene, my eyes widened when I saw Kirishima but he was totally drenched while he's trying to help the old lady cross the street.

Since I am seeing him now, there's no need for me to go straight to the station so I decided to go to where he's at right now.

"O-Oh no! You're all drenched from the rain, dear! You don't have an umbrella with you?!", the old lady said with concern.

"Well, I forgot to bring it again but don't worry! I'm actually going to stop by at a store and buy one!", Kirishima replied and chuckled.

"I see. Your deed was admirable but don't forget to look after yourself, okay?", the old lady said and smiled kindly at him before giving him a soft pat on the shoulder, "The look in your eyes are the eyes of a future pro hero, ho ho".

Kirishima grinned after hearing the old lady's compliment that he bowed down.

"Thank you so much, old lady! I'll do my best!"

"Eijirou!"

Once the old lady left him, I was able to call his attention before he would leave the scene but thankfully, he heard me right away and saw me.

Kirishima's face lightened up pretty quickly and didn't hesitate to run towards me, which was a mistake since the floor was wet, he slipped and fell on the floor.

I gasped and decided to help him by reaching out to him and he accepted my hand so he can get up from the ground.

"O-Oww, haha. Thanks, (Y/N)", Kirishima said and finally got up from the ground.

I smiled at him and looked at him from head to toe before replying, "You're drenched from the rain again".

"I know, haha. I didn't know it's going to rain today so I didn't bother bringing an umbrella or wear a hoodie for that matter", Kirishima replied and laughed shyly.

"Hmm, you have a point but still, bring an umbrella just in case of emergency, Eijirou", I said and smiled at him, "You'll never know if there will be rain or storm".

Kirishima nodded simply before I let him gesture him to let him go under my umbrella with me, which in return obliged to my request.

"Okay, (Y/N). I will!", Kirishima responded and smiled, "Shall we get going?".

I nodded but before we could leave, I noticed that Kirishima is still holding my hand.

When he noticed I was looking at our hands, his face turned red and automatically let go before looking away a little bit.

"I-I'm sorry, (Y/N)"

"It's okay! N-No biggie!"

TIME SKIP (Brought you by young Kirishima running around while wearing the costume of Crimson Riot - "Don't worry, readers! Your manly hero is here, hehe~!!")

We're almost there at the train station and the rain doesn't seem to show no signs of stopping so we had to be extra careful in walking in wet pavements and floors.

We had our usual chat but what's funny is that Kirishima is acting shy from time to time like he's hesitating to look directly at me or his answers are stumbling a bit.

At first, I thought it was because he fell and shivered from the rain but I think there has to be more than that.

I really wish I could just ask but I feel like I should let him say it so I won't have to pry, unless he continues this way for a long period of time.

I looked over him and I am seeing his relaxed expression but the redness from his face couldn't go away.

I hope he's not sick or anything.

"You know, this reminds me of something"

His confident words finally came and my heart raised for a split second then eventually, he looked at me with a soft smile.

"Remember the day we met? It was raining too on that day", Kirishima said and chuckled, "...I felt like I was the luckiest guy on earth...because I bumped into you".

"Eijirou...", I said in awe and grinned before continuing, "You're wrong, I'm the one who is lucky here. Haha!".

"Pfft, no! I am!", Kirishima replied and chuckled.

"No, me!"

"Me!"

Both of us started laughing at our own shenanigan and suddenly, I accidentally tripped over an open tile since both of us were caught up in our own little world.

"(Y/N)!"

At the speed of light, he automatically grabbed me and wrapped his arm around my waist to prevent me from falling.

"Got you", Kirishima said and looked at me, "Are you alright?".

"Y-Yep, I'm fine-"

I stopped talking when both of us are looking at each other's eyes directly and it felt like both of us are having our own TV drama moment when I realize that we are both under a street archway.

It felt like we were the only two people right now in the world and time seemed to stop winding as we gazed deeply into each other's eyes.

I can feely my heart beating fast and so as Kirishima's breaths were calm which sending me shivers down my spine.

Both of us wanted to say something but nothing came out from one of us since the view were looking at is leaving us breathless.

I could feel my lips pursing, trying to stir up a word to break the silence but only shyness and heart throbbing are the only things I could muster.

"(Y/N)..."

My heart leaped when he broke the breathless silence between us as he spoke my name and his expression shifted to a serious one.

"You've been the most awesome person I ever met in my life", Kirishima started to speak up with a confident voice and gulped, "I...I never thought meeting you would turn my life around and bring me joy and fuzziness. You know, like you're receiving a nice gift from your birthday or Christmas!".

"Even through my bad and sad times, you're always there to support me without hesitation", he continued and I can see a hopeful smile forming on his lips, "Being with you really is a blessing and not to mention that you're nice, smart and...".

He stopped his words when he carefully brushed the locks of my hair with his fingertips and continued, "...beautiful. Not only of how you look but also your big and warm heart".

I can feel my heart beating fast from what is happening right now and I can already tell what he's trying to say to me.

"(Y/N)...I know it sounds cheesy but all the things I am saying right now is how I feel about you and...", Kirishima said but his tone is almost shaky but he was able to get his confidence back up, "...there's something else I wanted you to know. It would be unmanly of me if I don't say it now because otherwise I will regret it".

I nodded just to gesture him to talk further and I can feel my eyes filling up slowly with tears.

He exhaled and he looked deeply into my eyes again with seriousness.

"I love you. I love you, (Y/N)!"

My eyes widened from the three words that I never thought I would hear coming from his mouth and the tears that are filling up my eyes started to flow down my cheeks.

"I started having a crush on from the day we met and man, I never thought I would experience this "love at first sight" sort of thing, haha", Kirishima said, "But it was a great feeling! In fact, I feel like the sunlight is always shining whenever I'm with you!".

"E-Eiji...rou"

I spoke by saying his name but my tone is shaking from happiness because in the end, he actually loved me too.

I hope I'm not dreaming but then again, the tears forming on my eyes are stinging me already.

"E-Eh, (Y/N)?! Y-You're crying, are you al-"

I stopped him from talking when I gave him a warm and affectionate embrace that I accidentally let go of the umbrella.

"...I l-love you too, E-Eijirou!", I replied and sobbed softly, "I...I didn't know you had a crush on me so...I couldn't help but let out all my tears that is already filled with joy".

Kirishima's eyes widened from my confession that his lips are curling into a sharky and happy grin.

"Wait, you love me too?!", Kirishima said with excitement and automatically cupped my face.

I nodded rapidly while trying to smile and explained, "Y-Yes! Of course, I love you! You're the kindest and manliest person I ever met! A-And you're not the only o-one with the love at first sight experience, I was t-too on the day we met".

"(Y/N)...", Kirishima said in awe and gently wiped my tears with his thumbs.

"...I held m-my feelings for so long and did you know I want to confess before g-graduate in middle school? But...then again, I was scared", I continued on and sniffed, "...I was scared that y-you wouldn't love me back and o-our friendship will bring awkwardness. I w-wouldn't want that to happen so...".

He gave me a reassuring smile and suddenly, his face was getting closer to mine and pushed his lips against my lips for a warm kiss.

My heart began to throb from the contact of our lips and it was filled with love and affection coming from the red haired boy.

I can feel myself smiling and I automatically wrapped my arms around his neck so I can kiss him back in return.

The kiss was soft and warm that it's making the both of us not feel too cold from the rain that is already showering us both. (A/N: Sorry, umbrella-chan ;^^)

We exchanged soft kisses for a few minutes and after a minute or two, we managed to let go but Kirishima ended up kissing me again, making laugh.

"K-Kiri! Haha-Mmm, haha!", I laughed and kissed him back anyway.

"Hahaha! I'm sorry, I really can't help myself! I'm too happy!", Kirishima replied and laughed along before kissing me again, "The person that I liked actually returned my feelings and this is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life besides my dream of becoming a hero!".

I smiled widely and this time, I gently cupped his face before tracing his lips with my fingertips.

"Me too", I replied and giggled before tilting my head to the side, "Me too, Eijirou. As much as I wanted to be a hero, I also wanted to be with someone in my life who loves and cherishes me for who I am".

"You're right, and please don't ever change, (Y/N). Be the same (Y/N) that I know and really love!", Kirishima said and chuckled before he held one of my hands that is touching his face, "...you'll be my girlfriend, right?".

I nodded rapidly and this time, I kissed his lips for confirmation, making Kirishima blush and giggle in return.

"YES, HAHA! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, (Y/N)!", Kirishima yelled with happiness.

I laughed and Kirishima gave me a warm and gentle embrace before rocking my body back in forth, which is cute.

"O-Oh wait!! The umbrella!", I said out of nowhere when I realized we are both still getting drenched from the rain so I automatically let go so I can grab the umbrella from the ground.

Once I picked it up, I hovered it back up while Kirishima joined me so he can give another warm embrace.

"There we go, we can't just shower in the rain for too long", I said and looked at him, "We might catch a cold at this rate. Anyway, are we still going to the amusement park?".

"Oh that! Well, h-haha! The thing is...", Kirishima replied and laughed nervously, "I was suppose to confess my feelings there but looks like I let it all out here in the middle of a rain".

"Wait, really?", I asked and tilted my head to the side.

"Yeah! I just wanted to make the atmosphere just right, you know! And I need to build up the mood too!", Kirishima said and laughed.

"Oh, so that's why! No wonder you were acting so nervous in our call earlier!", I replied, feeling astonished from the discovery.

He nodded simply and scratched the back of his neck before he continued, "Yep, I didn't know how I am going to tell you in order for my plan to succeed, haha! But...it doesn't matter now...".

He held me close and pecked the top of my head before snuggling against me.

"Both of us confessed and had our first kiss under the rain. It just made me realize the moments like these are unexpected and in the end, you get a better result out of it", Kirishima said and smiled gently, "I love you, (Y/N). I'll be best and manliest boyfriend you'll have".
