Loving Necklaces
A/N: It's the last story for this year's Kiribaku month! I had so much fun doing this, even though I would forget every now and again. I'll be writing in my other books up until Red Riot week! Which is in two months! Then I will write that and go back to my other books! So, yeah! That's all I got planned out so far... wait, actually, gonna look something up.
THROW EXPLODO WEEK ON THE LIST, I BELIEVE IT STARTS IN APRIL AND ENDS ON HIS BIRTHDAY, WHICH WILL PROBABLY BE WHEN NEXT KIRIBAKU WEEK STARTS, SO THAT'LL BE A FUN TWO WEEKS!
Quick thing about the story! The Bakusquad live together in a full fucking house. (+ Shinsou because my Kamishinsou shipping ass needs them to live together)
Anyway, let's get this out of the way, and begin!
Kirishima's POV
"Okay, listen up," Hanta entered mine and Kat's bedroom early, slamming our door open.
I jolted awake, before slumping groggily.
"I know that it's Friday, and y'all are gonna throw that ass back, but go to the gym first," Hanta went over to Katsuki and shook his shoulder. "Lift weights, then make mistakes,"
"It's called balance," I whispered as Hanta said the same thing out loud. "Give us a minute, Hanta. We'll be there in half an hour, tops,"
Hanta left, shutting the door as I placed a hand in Katsuki's hair.
"Babe, c'mon,"
"Mmnh," Katsuki groaned.
"Baby,"
"Nnh,"
"Li'l pom,"
"Nnh!"
"Sunflower,"
"Nnh,"
"My lord explosion murder who I love with all my he--"
"SHUT IT, SAP!"
I laughed to myself as my salty husband stood up, grabbing his boxers from off the floor and tossing them in the laundry basket.
"Gotta do laundry later," he mumbled before grabbing his workout clothes from the closet. "Y'know, for someone who was so eager to wake me up, why aren't you out of bed yet?"
"Gimme a sec. I gotta," I paused to yawn before continuing. "I gotta wake myself up a little more,"
"Which you'll do better by getting up. C'mon," he said, grabbing my wrist.
"Katsuki, you're gonna slip on the clothes on the floor. Don't be like me,"
"It was hilarious explaining to the doctor that you split your head on a dresser by slipping on your boyfriend's clothes before sex," Katsuki laughed, making me pout.
"Not my fault!"
"Yes, your fault, you clumsy giant," Katsuki said, helping me to my feet. "Now get dressed before Hanta and Hitoshi kill us for being late,"
"I'm more scared of you killing me for being late," I laughed to myself, walking to the dresser.
"Oh, I won't kill you, trust me," Katsuki said. "I would never,"
Oh, but you would.
"Instead, I prefer the term... punishment," Katsuki shrugged lazily as he threw on a tank top.
"KRAUS, TAKE THE FUCKING VEHICLE!"
(A/N: I DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK KRAUS IS, BUT AUTO CORRECT JUST DID THAT. SO I'M LEAVING KRAUS THERE!)
Katsuki blinked at me, seemingly baffled by my bullshit.
"Y'know what, I'll meet you outside," Katsuki mumbled, leaving the room.
Laughing at my own shenanigans, I put some clothes on and checked my phone for the date.
I knew what it was already, though.
August 31st.
The three year wedding anniversary between Katsuki Bakugou-Kirishima and I.
•••
"Fuzzy Head, your bloodline will be destroyed if you don't pick up the pace. C'mon," Katsuki said as Hanta and Hitoshi finally caught up to Katsuki and I.
Those two were lightly panting, while I was hunched over wheezing.
My Quirk does not let me do good shit when it comes to speed and stamina. My endurance is phenomenal, and my stamina has gotten better since Katsuki and I turned 18, but I'm still not really good in that department either.
"Maybe... we should... give them a break," I wheezed out.
"I have given you nothing to revere," Hitoshi deadpanned.
It was practically silent for a moment.
"I will betray you all once I get the chance,"
"Sounds pretty funky freshalicious to me, dude," Hanta flashed a smile, making Hitoshi sigh.
"Sure, let's run over to the nearest park. Just a mile," Katsuki nodded.
"HOW THE HELL AREN'T YOU TIRED?!"
•••
By the time we ended up in the park, I was dying.
"What... a... romantic start... to our... anniversary," I panted as Katsuki handed me my third water bottle of the run.
"Have any of our anniversaries ended up extremely romantic?" Katsuki asked.
"Well, no, b--"
"You split your head open the first time, I had a stomach bug the second anniversary, and you're practically having an asthma attack in my lap," Katsuki listed on his fingers. "Wanna add more in the years to come?"
"Absolutely... but... I had something... I needed to... give you..." I wheezed before chugging half the bottle. "Okay, better,"
"What do you mean?"
"You know those necklaces that say 'I love you' in like 100 or 1,000 languages?" I asked.
"Is it one of those?"
"That's one of the things,"
"One of?!"
"I'll give them to you ate the house,"
"Alright," Katsuki stood up from the bench we sat on. "We're gonna head back. No stops,"
"WHAT?!"
•••
"Close your eyes!" I said.
"I am!"
Hope Mina set up the bedroom before we got back.
Getting both of us up the stairs, I slowly walked us to the bedroom, Katsuki wobbling like a newborn deer.
"Make me fall, and I'll kill you,"
"I won't. Now, pick a number. Let's say... one through eight,"
"Eight, duh,"
"You've sealed your fate, there's no going back,"
"Oh, like that wasn't ominous and creepy," Katsuki scoffed.
I bet you all the money in the world he was rolling his eyes behind his eyelids.
Opening the door to the bedroom, a waft of cinnamon hit my nose, making me grin.
Perfect. I'll give Mina my thanks later.
"So, open,"
Katsuki opened his eyes and gasped.
The bed was covered in rose petals, we got candles and fairy lights in the room and everything, and a small box sat on the bed.
"Go open it,"
Slowly, Katsuki went over, opening the box.
He pulled out a pair of dog tags, one with an orb in the middle.
"Shine a light on it,"
Katsuki put the necklace up to a candle, and words projected onto the wall.
"Lemme get my gift for you," he said with a smile. "I love this. I love you,"
"I love you too,"
Katsuki went into the top shelf of our bedside table, and pulled out a small box of his own.
"Open it, Kirishine,"
Smiling at the nickname, I cracked it open and grinned.
A small shark necklace sat in the box.
When I picked it up, I felt something engraved in the back of the shark.
Flipping it over, it said "I love you" in Katsuki's handwriting.
"Babe,"
We shared a quick kiss, before I pulled back.
"Now, why did you make me pick a number?"
"You'll see, baby boy,"
"Oh no,"
A/N: That is it for Kiribaku Month 2020! Like I said, I'll miss it. I hope you guys enjoyed reading these as much as I enjoyed making them. If you like this stuff, I recommend my normal book! It's much better, I believe. Love you all! Stay safe and healthy! - Septic / Spark
