O n e ;

It had been a few weeks since the encounter with Hawks and I was back to handling busy nights and ignoring those in VIP. It was my off day once again, making my way to the nail salon for a overdue mani-pedi. It was a beautiful day out. The usual heros doing their patrols, kids running to get their attention.

It was honestly cute. I used to be the same way. Except my favorite was All Might. To see him fall shook me to my core. He was more than just the "Symbol of Peace" to me. He was a human. He did everything in his power to enrure that the people of his home were safe. And I couldn't respect him more. I cried for days.

Moving forward, Endeavor wasn't any better. In fact, I don't really like him much. It something about the 'I'm better than you so fear me' complex for me. You have to be a petty mother fucker to just walk around with your quirk activated just to look intimidating. As if the strong buff neck wasn't good enough, but whatever.

Within a split second, I found myself pressed against a wall, hearing dubris and people screaming. My breathing hitched, seeing people run back and forth as Hero's ran towards the attack. Turning my eyes up, I came in contact with a black hoodie and piercing blue eyes. His hood was down now, I'm guessing from when he grabbed me. He was covered in scars and staple-like things. His ears were even pierced. He was a God among many.

"You should pay more attention to where you're going, Princess." He says looking down at me.

"Thank you.." I mutter, turning my eyes away from him. His body was pressed against my own, making me feel his body heat. I let out another breath when he steps away, giving the cool air the right to come in between us. He stands at a distance, going to light something that looked like a cigarette but it was brown. He inhaled before blowing out a cloud of smoke. The musty smell of marijuana hitting my nose.

"Where ever you were thinking about going would have to wait a while." He says again. Gaining even more then my attention.

I look down at my watch before clicking my tongue. My favorite nailshop was going to close soon. If they haven't already due to what was going on.

From the corners of my eye I could see him sizing me up. He took another pull of his joint before blowing it out once more. "You got a hot date?" He questioned, assuming he's trying to make small talk.

I manage a chuckle and he stepped a bit closer to me, I guess to hear me over the commotions and clanging and banging. Sirens wailing and people screaming.

"No, I don't have a date." I say. "I was going to get my nails done on my off day."

He reached out his hand offering me his spliff. "You need it sweetheart." He offers.

"I don't smoke with people I don't know." I say with a raised eyebrow.

"Dabi." He says still holding it towards me. "Now we're not strangers."

"Y/N." I answer, taking the joint from his fingers. I took a drag of it myself, coughing out the smoke which made him chuckle.

"You don't smoke?" He asked tilting his head to the side. "You could've said so."

"No." I coughed out. "I smoke on occassions."

"Uh-huh." He chuckles. "Where you work?"

"Bottom's Up." I reply exhaling smoke before passing the joint back to him. "You?"

"Sorry, I'm a misfit." Dabi smirks.

"And you should stay far away from misfits." A voice called over the both of us. Red feathers fluttered between the both of us before our eyes turned up seeing Hawks hovering over us. "What are you doing with raisin bread?"

Dabi rolls his eyes, clearly irritated while I covered my mouth at the small jab he took at Dabi.

So they know each other...

"For your information, I just saved her life." Dabi took a drag of the joint before passing it to Hawks who declines.

"I'm on the job man." He shakes his head. Dabi's hand then turns towards me, who accepted.

"Then go be a Hero, little birdie." Dabi's lazy drawl causes Hawks to frown. Dabi waved his hand. "Go on, get to flying."

"Get her some place alot safer than this alley, idiot." Hawks sighs out.

I blink listening to the two go back and forth. It was honestly cute. Their little jabs at one another from their apperances.

"Just....get her somewhere safe." Hawks stresses, pushing his hair out his face. "If anyone sees you here, you're fucked and you know that."

Dabi dragged the now roach blunt onto the wall putting it out. "Yeah, yeah." He takes my hand in his and threw his hood on with the other as he lead me out of the dark alley and into the opposite direction of the commotion going on. I turned my head over my shoulder as we walked, looking at everything that was happening. Hero's seemed to be fighting against a larger villan, who threw an entire van through the store I was just about to walk by when Dabi pulled me into the alley. I breathe out seeing Hawks watching us before he was nothing but a memory in the distance.

"Are you and Hawks friends?" I find myself asking once Dabi let go of my hand. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his pullover hoodie and scoffed.

"Hardly." He answers shortly. "More like we put up with one another."

The air grew quiet between us.

"Where do you live?" He asked.

"A few more blocks from here." I answer. "I could walk the rest of the way."

"That's not a good idea." He says quickly. "Knowing what's going on down the street. Those heros are handling it, which means no one is on this side of town. Who knows what could be lurking around the corner to prey on someone like you."

"Someone in a black hoodie, right?" I retort smartly.

Dabi snorts. "Watch it Princess." He says. "I'm not someone you should think is harmless."

"Oh yeah?" I raise an eyebrow. "What are you going to do? Smoke me to death?"

Again, he snorts. A simple laugh that for some reason, made me smile.

So he does have humor..

"Are your eyes real?" I ask, just wanting to keep him talking. The intonation of his voice sounding not only over everything, but comforting in a way.

He scoffs. "Yes."

"And your scars?"

"What about them?" He asked.

"What happened?" I ask.

"You know, you're nosy." He says with a simple chuckle. He pulls a cigarette from his pocket, before using a finger to light it. My eyes widened everything clicked in my head. The spark of blue flame. I've seen it before.

"Y-You're..." Before I could finish my sentence, Dabi had me pinned against a wall, his hand clamped over my mouth.

"Careful how you choose your words, Little Mouse." He says. My eyes traveled down to the lit cigarette on the ground, barely lit. My heart rate increased. I was staring into the face of a wanted criminal. Someone who had ties to the League of Villans. But...But why was Hawks talking to him so casually. "Careful what you do with the information you have."

His ice blue irises staring deep down into my soul in a way that shook it trumendously. They no longer looked bored and uninterested. These eyes told me that he wouldn't think twice about ending my life right here and now. The thought alone made me want to cry. Hawks left me in the hands of a villan. Why?

"I'm removing my hand." He says lowly. His tone stern. "Do. Not. Scream. Or there will be consequenses. I told that wood pecker I'd get you somewhere safe. I'd rather not deal with the squawking trying to explain to him how'd you turn up dead in yet another alleyway. Got it?"

I nod my head, sucking in a deep breath through my nose. He slowly removed his hand from my mouth and quickly thinking I kneed him in the balls causing him to double over.

"Mother...Fucker!" He grits out as I run away. My chest heaved but I continued running. I ran and I ran, not looking back to see if he were following me. I crashed into a chest, stumbling backwards but they grabbed me.

"Woah woah woah Kid," The voice startled me but calmed me all at the same time. I was beyond confused seeing Hawks with a strong grip around me. "You alright?" He raises an eyebrow with a worried smirk on his face. "Did crunch wrap show you his scars?"

I knew it was an attempt to lighten the mood but I wasn't for it.

"No." I breath out. "Y-You left me with a vi-"

"Shhh." Hawks hand clamped over my mouth the same way Dabi's did. The playful stare in his eye gone. "Keep your mouth shut." He says.

"Fucking bitch!" Dabi's voice caused me to shudder against Keigo's chest. I look over my shoulder at Dabi, seeing a mass of blue flames engulfing his hand.

"Cool it, raisin brand." Hawks frowns at him. A moment of pause before the flames evaporated with a shake of Dabi's hand as he rolled his eyes.

"She kicked me in my dick." He says angrily.

"You scared her." Hawks says shaking his head. He looks down at me and I couldn't help but look him in the eye. "You alright, Kid?"

I nod. I was, but I was confused. What was going on? Why would he be talking to a wanted villan so casually?

This is crazy.

Is Hawks a traitor?

Or was Dabi just undercover with the League?

I can't tell anyone about this.

"Come on Kid, I'll take you home." Hawks breaks my thoughts, his gaze back to being soft.

How could he just flip a switch like that?

"Better you than me." Dabi mumbles, his lazy drawl back to what it was.

They're crazy.

Well, you've always attracted crazy.

Remember your ex.

Ugh, why now?

Hawks removes me from himself, sticking his hands in his pockets as he steps in stride with me. Footsteps sounded behind us from Dabi following.

"Sorry about that Kid." Hawks breaks the silence. "Somethings are better left not to talk about. You understand, right?"

I nod. "Yeah, whatever." I mumble.

"Your high ass over reacted." Dabi calls from behind me. "I wasn't going to do anything to you."

"That's his way of apologizing." Hawks interprets for me, seeing that I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Whatever you two have going on isn't my business." I say with a shrug.

"As long as we're on the same page." Dabi says with a shake of his head.

We reached my apartment complex and I exhaled thankfully. I didn't know how much longer I would be here.

"Here, take this." Hawks says clipping one of his feathers to my letter necklace. "You know too much now and your life could possibly be in danger from now on."

"What?" I yell. "I swear I wont tell anyone!"

"Calm down Princess." Dabi says moving loose strands of my hair from my frantic face.

"We know that, Kid." Hawks assures. "This is just so I know you're safe. You can continue your regular day to day life. But if anyone makes you frightened or uncomfortable, I'll know."

I felt a little at ease knowing that for some reason. I looked down at the feather. It almost looked like it belonged around my neck.

"Okay." I say with a nod.

"Don't worry, Bruised Criminal and I wont let anything happen to you." A smirk rose on Hawks' face as he leaned in and kissed my forehead, melting all my worries away. I couldn't help but blush. It was such a sweet gesture.

"There you go again." Dabi mumbles, sounding a bit jealous for my taste. I turn to him.

"Did you want to kiss my forehead too?" I tilt my head to the side as I looked up at him. I could see the rosiness on his cheeks, falling over his nose.

"No." He says quickly looking away. "Just go inside already."

I pursed my lips into a smile nodding and walking into Dabi for a hug. I could feel him tense as he stood there. I admit, at first I was afraid of him. But once he calmed back down and telling me that he wasn't going to really do anything, I calmed down. I felt his warm hand on top of my head causing me to smile. He looked down at me as I looked up at him. A hand on my head the other in his pocket. My arms wrapped securely around his torso as if we've been doing this for years.

"Thank you for saving me." I tell him. He smirks.

"Go inside Princess." He tells me once more, dismissing my greatfullness. I removed myself from the both of them, heading into my apartment complex waving shortly to the both of them.

*Dabi & Hawks*

"Really?" Dabi scoffs once Y/N gets out of earshot. "Right in front of me?"

"Relax Dabi." Hawks coos reaching to grab his face, only for Dabi to smack his hand away. "Ouch."

"If you want to fuck her, say that." Dabi stuffs his hands into the pockets of his hoodie as he walks away from Hawks, who giddily followed his boyfriend.

"Jealous you is definitely a turn on." Hawks voice dropped a few octives down sending a shiver down Dabi's spine.

"Fuck off, Chicken Legs." Dabi grumbles.

Hawks chuckles. "It's fine if you want her too," Hawks then shrugs, sticking his hands into the pockets of his baggy pants. "You do know that, right?"

Dabi growls, his lips pressed into a thin line, his eyes are narrowed and nose slightly flared. He wasn't sure. Her body did in fact feel good against his body, but ultimately he belonged to Hawks and Hawks belonged to him. Sure, they could sleep with women that was their agreement. He wasn't bothered that he kissed Y/N on the forehead, but he did feel just a little tinge of jealousy. She wasn't scared of Hawks. But she was terrified of him. Even if it was for a moment.

"That's not what's bothering me, Keigo." Dabi says harshly.

"Woah, try that again." Hawks frowns hearing his real name. "Who am I?"

Dabi gave a frustrated sigh, quickening his pace to move ahead of Hawks, only to be jerked back by a hand on his wrist.

"Dabi." He drawls out. "What is it?"

"I-I scared her." He grumbles. "Everything was fine untill she realized who I really was."

Hawks eyes softened. Everyone know his lover as a ruthless killer. But Dabi had to do what he had to in order to stay in the league, somewhere he and Hawks met and almost killed one another, only to find out the both of them were thrown to the hero commission and used as tools. Dabi was the one to get away. Hawks... Not so much. The Hero Commision thought he was the liasion for them, but it was really the other way around.

"I wasn't trying to scare her." He continues. "I just panicked and-"

"Hey big boy." Hawks' arms wrap around Dabi as he kisses his cheek softly. "Calm down. Your anxiety is flaring. She's not mad, or scared. She's just confused on our ties together. That's all it is."

Dabi swallows as he nods.

"Just apologize as nicely as you can the same way she thanked you." Hawks coos. "She doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges. Considering the fact she gave you a hug."

"Get off of me." Dabi orders becoming irritated from Hawks' teasing tone.

Hawks chuckles. "Get out of here, alright?" He says lowly. "I have to get back to damage control. Your heart rate increased so I had to see what was going on."

"I'm fine."

"Well, yeah." Hawks says in a duh sort of manner, watching the pink tint rise on Dabi's face.

"I fucking hate you." Dabi grumbles. He gave an even more irritated growl when Hawks leaned in to steal a kiss from him.

"I love you too, Medium Rare."
