Terra was a land plagued by war for hundreds of years. Several kingdoms fought for dominance, especially over a small province called Twilight. While the rulers of other kingdoms had strength, power over fire, or could even command the skies, Twilight had a very special gift. Their royal line was blessed with the gift of healing. It was the rarest gift that could be bestowed upon a royal family. And it was a gift that seemed to be slowly dying.

When someone of royal blood in Twilight had been blessed, it formed a protective shell over the entire kingdom. It fought off disease, ill-wishes, and famine. The kingdom prospered.

That's what the other leaders desired.

It had been over 300 years since the last king in Twilight was blessed, and the people feared that when their prince showed no signs of having the gift, that it had been lost forever.
