San looked at himself in the mirror. Today was the day. It was time for Twilight to end. He wore the all red uniform he had worn his first day in Twilight. It made him look intimidating and he loved it.

The six wizards stood behind him, also in red, awaiting his orders. They had been working on weapons to give his troops. Now every one of them had a sword and shield that had been enhanced to never break, stay sharp, and deflect anything that came at it.

Twilight didn't stand a chance.

He licked his lips, thinking about how he would have the princess in his arms soon, and the people she loved imprisoned, awaiting their deaths.

San still had every intention of making her watch them die. And he planned on saving the little performer for last, knowing that would be the hardest one for her.

"Let's move out."

The wizards bowed and followed him out of the tent.

Trumpets sounded the alarm as soon as the lookouts spotted the army. Twilight exploded with activity. The women, children, elderly, and sick were all ushered down into the dungeons and storage rooms. Several of the fathers and husbands were given weapons to protect them just in case.

Goodbyes were said by everyone, all with the thought that it could be the last time they would see their loved ones.

Hongjoong said quick goodbyes to his new friends and pulled his wife into his arms, squeezing her to him.

Yunho also said goodbye to his sister and the rest of the group, but then turned to Mingi and placed a hand on the back of his neck, placing their foreheads together. Mingi returned the gesture. They both told each other to stay safe and come back alive before Yunho followed Hongjoong out of the hall.

Mingi then also said his goodbyes before waiting for Seonghwa by the entrance.

The prince hugged each person in turn, saving his sister for last. They wished each other luck.

Yeosang did the same, giving Kita the longest hug and handing her a bag of stones. Then he and the prince followed Mingi out of the hall.

Kita, Wooyoung, and Jongho watched them go before heading to their designated position within the army. It was agreed that they would stay near the back until it was absolutely necessary for them to show themselves.

Seonghwa stood at the front of his army with Mingi on his left and Yeosang on his right. He could hear the wizard muttering under his breath as he worked to raise a barrier around the palace.

They knew he couldn't hold it for long, but they hoped it would be enough to at least draw the Volkin army in close enough so their ranged units could do some damage.

They waited.

The army shifted, growing impatient.

Seonghwa tensed when seven figures appeared on the horizon, dressed in red, followed by a massive army. They marched forward, the sheer number of them causing Twilight's men to shift uncomfortably.

Mingi called for them to settle and stand their ground.

Yeosang clenched his jaw and focused on the barrier.

The army stopped just out of range of their archers and gunmen.

Then Seonghwa was surprised to see King San walk forward, flanked by two of the others dressed in red. He raised his head and stepped forward, Mingi and Yeosang following close behind.

They met right at the border of the barrier.

King San eyed it, his eyes traveling up and down, then side to side, while his head stayed pointed directly at Seonghwa.

"I will give you one chance, Princeling. Hand over my fiancé, and I will spare the people of Twilight." He reached out and let one slender finger drag over the barrier. "I'd hate to see innocent blood spilt."

"You have some nerve, coming here with your army and demanding my sister. If she wanted to be with you, then she would have stayed with you." Seonghwa saw anger flash in the king's eyes, but he held his ground.

"So be it." His eyes shifted to Yeosang and an evil grin crossed his face. Then he spun around and walked back to his army, leaving the two... boys. Seonghwa realized they were boys, younger than his sister. He left them behind.

They tilted their heads toward each other, and a sadistic smile crossed their face as they raised their hands.

"Fall back." Seonghwa said, placing a hand on Yeosang's shoulder. They stepped back, not taking their eyes off the boys in front of them.

"Men! Get ready!" Mingi called. The sound of swords being drawn sounded behind them.

Seonghwa felt himself go pale as the boys' hands started glowing and they pushed them forward. Yeosang immediately cried out and scrunched his face. The barrier started to crack.

"Someone get Kita!" Seonghwa called, looking at the wizard in concern.

"N-No! Leave her be! It's a trap." Yeosang hissed. "Get everyone ready to f-fire."

"As soon as you drop the barrier, go find her then." Seonghwa ordered, drawing his own sword. The wizard nodded and gritted his teeth.

Right as the boys pushed their hands forward again, a giant fireball flew through the sky, slamming into the barrier at full force, creating more cracks. Yeosang whimpered and fell to his knees.

When the first crack appeared, Kita bolted from where they had been standing. Wooyoung and Jongho kept pace with her, not questioning her as she ran through the army in front of her.

As the fireball hit, she swore and pushed herself. She knew Yeosang couldn't hold on much longer.

She could see San starting to form another one. At this point he wouldn't even need an army, but she hoped he would tire himself out with the size and force he was using.

"Kita! No!" Seonghwa said when she knelt next to Yeosang.

She ignored him and placed her palms on his chest, trying to replenish his energy. He smiled at her gratefully and then closed his eyes.

San let his fireball fade as soon as he saw Kita. It worked just like he had planned. He jerked his chin once and two of his wizards started walking forward to join the other two. "Bring her to me, unharmed." He said as the last two then moved forward.

He snapped his fingers and his army moved forward in one synchronized motion. He moved to the side to observe, raising his chin and staring down his nose at all the worthless lives before him.
