We had to sleep the night because of the 'slight problem'. Luckily, the trees acted like a tent so we were sheltered. Me, Jack, Holly, Harvey and Theo decided that we should sleep near each other so it would be like a sleepover- to keep our minds off things.
Sergeant Joe went exploring so we were on our own while he was gone.

"Can I show you some of my friends now that I've met some of yours?" Holly asked me.
"Uh, yeah, alright then" I replied, I didn't really care that much. Holly trotted off to go and find her friends as I started to gather leaves for us to sleep on. We already had blankets because we were told to bring one - just incase.

Just after I had made a pretty decent pile of leaves, Holly and five others joined us. "So, these are my friends!" Holly said proudly. I scanned the group of girls who were standing behind Holly. "Meet Caitlin, Anna, Ella, Rachel and Olivia!" She added.
"Erm, hi, I'm Thomas and this is Jack, Theo and Harvey." I said gesturing to my friends who were busy staring at the girls.

Nothing happened for a while but then suddenly, Jack called out, " I call dibs on the short, blonde one!"
"Nah, that's not fair! But I guess the long hair brunette is alright." Harvey replied to Jack. "Woah! Guys! You can't just 'call dibs' on someone you have only just met!" Holly disapproved, rolling her eyes. I nodded my head in agreement as it was a bit shocking that my friends were already deciding who they wanted as a girlfriend. But then, none of us boys had ever had a girlfriend and we were fifteen!

"Yeah, maybe we should get to know them first before you even start thinking about becoming their boyfriend!" I said after a while of thinking.
"So can they stay with us tonight?" Holly asked
"YES!!" Harvey and Jack shouted before I could even open my mouth.
"I guess so" I replied "but you better help make the beds though!" I added.

Holly and her friends went off to collect their stuff an bring it over to their new sleeping venue. As soon as they were out of sight, Jack and Harvey started again "wow, that blonde one!"
"To be honest, I preferred the other short one, with glasses."
"Any good at flirting?"
"Yeah, I'm alright, I just hope she likes me!".
"Oh seriously guys!?" I complained, raising my eyebrows. Then they finally shut up.

A few minutes later, the girls came back with their sleeping bags and started to set up their beds. Meanwhile, Harvey was drawing something with a stick on the dusty floor.
"Harvey, what are you doing?" I asked
"Well, I'm drawing out the sleeping plan: who goes next to who." He declared. I shook my head and rolled my eyes, was he serious about this?

About half an hour later, we had finished setting up the leaves and had begun to lay out our sleeping bags.
"Ta da!" Harvey beamed, showing his sleeping plan to us. "So, the order is: Me, Anna, Ella, Thomas, Holly, Theo, Caitlin, Olivia then Jack." He said, looking very proud of himself.

"So it took you all that time to come up with... that?" Caitlin moaned.
"Uh, yeah! I planned it very carefully!" Harvey snapped back. "Come on then! Get to your places!" He ordered.
We all decided not to annoy Harvey and slept in our allocated spots.

"Goodnight!" Harvey said just as we were about to fall asleep. After a while, I managed to close my eyes and sleep.
