RAJPUT PALACE
A woman is seen sword fighting with a soldier. She's fighting him very efficiently and her tactics are mind boggling.
Suddenly, the king came towards them and they stopped fighting and bowed in front of the king. The soldier also left after king's command.
G- Suprabhat Babasa. (Good Morning, Father)
P- Rajkumari Anika, humne apka vivaah Mewaad ke raja se tay kar diya hai. Shigra hi aap Mewaad ki rani banengi. (Princess Anika, we've fixed your marriage alliance to the king of Mewaad. Soon you'll be the queen of Mewaad.)
Anika looked at her father with teary eyes.
A- Kintu Babasa, aap ko gyaat hai ki hum vivaah nahi karna chahte. Hum apne rajya ke liye yoddha ban ke yuddh karna chahte hain. Apne rajya ki sahayata karna chahte hai. (But father, you know that I don't want to get married. I want to fight like a warrior for our kingdom. I want to help our kingdom)
The king looked at his daughter with pity.
P- Hum bhi chahate hain ki yeh sambhav ho pata kintu aapki maa sa sahi kehti hain ki striyan ghar ke aangan mein achi lagti hain, ranbhoomi par nahi. Hume maaf kar dijiye, Rajkumari Anika. Hum par Mughalon ki nazar hai aur hume suraksha chahiye, jo ki ek shaktishali raja hi de sakta hai. Par unki shart ke anusar woh hume suraksha tabhi pradaan karenge jab humari putri unki patni banengi. Hum aapse vinti karte hain, unse vivaah kar lijiye, humare liye nahi toh humare rajya ke liye hi sahi. (I also wish the same but your mother is right, women are suitable in the home grounds, not on the war field. I'm sorry, princess Anika. We are continuously under Mughal's surveillance and we need protection and army, which can only be provided by a powerful king. But His condition is that my daughter should marry him in exchange of protection and army. I beg you, please marry him, if not for me then for our kingdom.)
Anika wiped her tears and looked at the king with determination.
A- Theek hai, Babasa. Hum unse vivaah karenge. Apne rajya ke liye hum ye balidaan bhi dene Ko taiyaar hai. Hume aagya dijiye.(Alright, Babasa. I'll marry him. I'm ready to make this sacrifice for our Kingdom. Allow me to leave.)
The king nodded his head and Anika left from there with her sword.
She reached her room and wrapped her sword in a red silk cloth and kept it in the wooden chest box.
Some tears escaped from her eyes.
A- Shayad yeh antim shad hai jab humne isse pakda hai. (Maybe, it's the last time when I'm holding it.)
She said while looking at the sword and closed the chest box.
Suddenly another girl entered into her chamber, with a happy smile.
G- Jijisa, Hume maasa ne soochit kiya ki apka vivaah tay ho gaya hai. Hum bahut prasann hai aapke liye. Ab hume bhi humare rajkumar mil jayenge, shigra hi.(sister, mother told me that your alliance is fixed. Im so happy for you. Now I'll also get my prince soon.)
Anika looked at Gauri and nodded her head with a sad smile.
Gauri noticed her sadness.
G- Jijisa, kya hua? Aap prasann nahi hain apne vivaah se? Humne suna hai Mewaad ke raja bahut acche hain. Humari sabhi sakhiyan unke gungaan karti hain aur aap toh unki rani banne wali hain.(Sister, what happened? Aren't you happy?I've heard my friends praising him and you're going to become his queen.)
A- Gauri, aapko gyat hai ki hum vivaah nahi karna chahate hain, hum yoddha ke bhanti yuddh karna chahate hain, humare rajya ke liye.(Gauri, you know that indont want to get married. I want to fight for my kingdom like a warrior.)
Some tears escaped from Anika's eyes. Gauri cupped Anika's face and wiped her tears.
G- Jijisa, aap vishwash rakhiye. Hum yeh vivaah toh nahi rok sakte par hum prarthana karenge ki Mewaad ke raja, aapka sahas banein aur aapka sahyog karein. (Sister, Keep faith. I can't stop this marriage but I'll pray that King Of Mewaad becomes your courage and supports you.)
Anika nodded her head.
At the same time, Subhadra entered Anika's chambers with a few handmaids.
Anika and Gauri bowed in front of them.
A/G- Pranam Maa Sa. (Greetings, mother)
Su- Khush rahiye. Rajkumari Gauri, aap yahan kyu hain? Jaiye aapki sakhiyan apko prateeksha kar rahi hain. (Be happy. Princess Gauri, what are you doing here? Go, your friends are waiting for you.)
Gauri nodded her head and left.
Subhadra cupped Anika's face with a huge smile.
Su- Rajkumari Anika, hum aapke liye bahut prasann hain. (I'm so happy for you, princess Anika)
Anika looked at her with teary eyes.
A- Aap ye sab kyu kar rahi hain, Maa sa? Aap ko gyat hai ki hum yoddha banna chahte hain toh aap hume kisi ki patni kyu banne ko keh rahi hain? (Why are you doing this, mother? You know that I want to become a warrior then why are you forcing me to become someone's wife?)
Su- Hum samajh sakte hain aapki bhawnao Ko kintu aapko sadaiv ye gyat tha ki yeh din aayega. Striyan kabhi yoddha nahi hoti, woh putri, behen, patni aur maa hi hoti aur kuch nahi. Aap iss baat ko jitni shigra sweekar kar le, utni kam peedha hogi aapko. (I can understand your feelings but you always knew that this day will come. Women never become warriors, they are either daughter, sister, wife or mother and nothing else. The sooner you accept this fact, it will be better and will cause you less pain.)
Anika nodded her head with teary eyes when Subhadra again cupped Anika's face.
Su- Putri, ye sab hum aapke bhale ke liye hi kar rahe hain. Kya aapne kabhi kisi stree ko ranbhoomi mein jaate dekha hai? Nahi na. Aur hum nahi chahate ki aapko ya humare rajya ko kisi ki anuchit drishti ka samna karna pade. Hume bilkul uchit nahi lagega agar aapke vishay mein koi apshabd kahe. (Child, Im doing all this for your own good. Have you ever seen a woman going to battlefield? No. Right? And i dont want anyone badmouthing about you or our Kingdom. I won't be able to tolerate if someone badmouths about you.)
Anika gulped her sorrow and maintained a fake smile.
A- Par Maa Sa, agar humare pati hume anumati dein, yuddh karne ki, talwar uthane ki, toh? ( But mother, if my husband allows me to battle and to hold my sword again, then?)
Su- Rajkumari Anika, aapko nirantar asambhav vichaar kyu aate hain? Bhala kaun hoga woh purush jo chahega ki unki patni yuddh kare ya unse jyada samaksh ho? Hum aapki jannee toh nahi kintu humne aapko parvarish di hai, isiliye aapko batana chahte hain ki ab samay aa gaya hai ki aap ek rani ka kartavya nibhana seekhein aur asambhav vicharon ko apne mastishk se hata dein. (Princess Anika, why do you always get impossible thoughts? Why would a man want his wife to fight on the battlefield or to be more capable than him. I'm not your birth mother but still I nurtured you, that's why I want to tell you that stop having impossible thoughts and concentrate on becoming a queen.)
Anika nodded her head.
A- Theek hai, Maa Sa. (Okay, mother)
Subhadra nodded her head with a proud smile.
Su- Shigra hi, taiyaar ho jaiye aur rasoighar mein aa jaiye. Grahani ka astitva hota hai rasoighar toh aaj waha se hi aarambh karte hain. (Come to the kitchen, soon. Kitchen is the existence of a housewife so lets start from there.)
Subhadra left Anika's chamber and Anika went to get ready with a heavy heart.
RATHORE PALACE
Shivaay entered his parents' chambers.
He bowed in front of his parents.
S- Pranam Babasa! Pranam Maa Sa ( Greetings Father! Greetings Mother!)
T/J- Khush rahiye. ( Be happy)
S- Baba sa, Maa sa, humne ek nirnay liya hai aur hume bharosa hai ki aap dono humse sahmat honge. ( Father, mother, I've taken a decision and I have faith that you'll agree with me.)
Jhanvi and Tej frowned in confusion.
T- Kahiye, putra. (Tell us, son)
S- Humne apne vivaah ke liye, ek rajkumari dhoond li hai. Woh bilkul waisi hain, jaisi patni aur iss rajya ki rani chahiye thi. Unke andar woh sabhi gun hai. Woh Rajputon ki rajkumari Anika hain. (I've found a bride for myself. She has all the qualities of a wife and a queen, just like I wanted. She is Rajput Princess, Anika.)
Tej and Jhanvi squealed in happiness.
J- Hum bahut prasann hain aapke liye, putra. ( I'm very happy for you, son.)
S- Dhanyawad, Maa sa. Yeh hai unka chitra. ( Thank you mother. This is her picture.)
Shivaay said forwarding the painting to Tej and Jhanvi. After looking at Anika's painting, they raised their eyebrows in appreciation.
T- Hume garv hai apki pasand par. ( I'm proud of your choice.)
J- Hume bhi. (Me too.)
Tej clapped his hands and some ministers and guards entered his chambers.
T- Saare rajya mein ye suchna de dijiye ki Raja Shivaay ka vivaah tay ho gaya hai aur aaj rajmahal mein rajbhog hai aur poora rajya aamantrit hai. ( Make an announcement in the whole kingdom that King Shivaay is getting married and tonigh is royal dinner and everyone is invited.)
Tej said happily and Shivaay smiled at his parents' happiness.
