In the game you established your own lore and minions after a very special event.
You became the Master of a traveling Circus with your own minions and your own brand of magic.
You placed artifacts known as Nightmare Lanterns in the dreams of your followers who you sent to different kingdoms. If someone manages to access the dreams of these followers through magic of your own, you and your entire Troupe will be summoned.
Once summoned a side quest will be initiated for the summoner. You will scatter minions of various levels throughout the kingdom for them to defeat, if they defeat 3 starter minions and 3 mid-level minions they will fight you.
The side quest can be completed at any time so long as they have a familiar you made with them at all times.
As the familiar travels it will absorb a bit of the EXP the summoner earns from killing every enemy and Boss while on the quest.
Once they return for your battle, you absorb the familiar and the absorbed EXP for yourself and battle the Summoner.
If they lose you gain half of everything they have and if they win the final part of the side quest will initiate.
You scatter 3 of your strongest minions across the land with an upgraded Familiar to help them and the process repeats.
Once that is complete they'll be able to fight you at your strongest, the dream world as Nightmare King Grimm.
If they manage to beat you they themselves will become the New Master of the Grimm Troupe and gain everything you once had to continue the legacy of the Grimm Troupe.
So far...no one has been able to even get pass your first fight.
Personality:
Ever since being transported to this new world you act like how one would expect, dark and sinister.
You take pride in showmanship and like to make every battle you're in as dramatic as possible.
In the real world you found it hard to connect with people and so you emotionally distance yourself from people, but maybe this world can help break that shell you set up around yourself.

As the leader of the Grimm Troupe you possess amazing pyrokinesis.
Able to teleport and vanish in a burst of damaging flames, only adds to your already blinding speed.
Your thin frames betrays your strength as one swipe from your claws cause heavy damage.
You are a master of dream magic as well due to you being the Nightmare King.
You are able to read the dreams of others while they are asleep and being in your presence intensifies nightmares if they are having any.
You do not require sleep anyway so you choose to distance yourself whenever someone sleeps until you learn to control it.
You didn't expect to be sucked into the actual game so you didn't think this detail would be important.
Your Powers are far too many to list off here so they will be revealed as the series progresses.

These are the minions you sent out in threes, first the Novices, then the Masters and finally the Nightmares.
They are tough for any Adventurer to take alone as on top of their pyrokinesis they seemingly ignore the laws of physics and can phase through objects making them tricky to get a hit on.
Brumm:
The main musician of the Grimm Troupe and it's leader when you aren't around to directly lead it.
He is stoic, silent and obeys you without question, at times it feels like he's your closest friend, even before getting sucked into Cross Reverie he was programmed so well he almost seemed real.
At least that's what you think.
His combat capabilities are unknown but he is masterful when it comes to support magic.
Divine:
Another one of your more prominent followers, she acts like a guard dog for your treasures and artifacts and only let's by those who have defeated you to gaze upon their spoils.
During the side quest, she can be asked to upgrade certain items though she charges quite a hefty penny which only becomes more ludicrous depending on the item they want upgraded.
She adores shiny things and will take whatever catches her fancy.
Her abilities are unknown but it's clear whoever goes into the treasure room that isn't you or without your permission are dispatched in horrific and disturbing ways judging from the Screams of agony.
