"I can't believe I was so young when I first got here." Lucy looked around at all the people who were busy at work.
"It is weird to think about." Susan nodded.
"So how did you guys find Narnia?" I asked as I took a seat next to them on the floor.
"A wardrobe. We are staying at a mansion during our war. Lucy's the one who found it really."
"A wardrobe? Huh."
"So what about you? What's your story?" Susan leaned back
"Well I was born here. I'm a Telmarine. And that annoying long haired dude you met earlier? That's my weird twin brother."
"Caspian is your twin?"
"Yeah I know right?" I laughed and my eyes traveled to the boys who were talking amongst themselves. Peter, I think was his name, was very attractive. He had a nice smile and a kind face.
"Who you looking at?" Lucy teased.
"No one." I shook my head and looked back to the girls.
"If you're looking at Peter you should go talk to him." Susan nudged her.
"What? No! Why? Do you know anything?"
"Just go talk to him."
I sighed, feeling a sense of confidence. I stood up and made my way over, fighting my brain to move my feet.

"And she used to dance around thinking about it." Caspian laughed to the boys "She wrote stories too. About all the princes that would save her and love her."
Edmund cracked a laugh and Peter glanced over.
"Hey Peter."
"Hey y/n. You alright?"
"Yeah I just thought I'd come see how you are doing." I chuckled and folded my hands in front of myself
"I'm fine. Just hearing stories about you from your guys childhood."
"Ugh. That's so awkward."
"It's not. I promise. It's kinda cute actually." Peters smile faded when he saw my face " You look a little uncomfortable."
"Oh... yeah." I scoffed "it's just I'm getting a little hot in here."
"We can go outside. Come on. I'll take you."
I followed him out of the How and to the small river that was next to the How's land.
It had been quiet, I was dipping my fingers in the stream when I noticed Peter shuffling.
"I heard about the duel." I started, not looking at Peter "Edmund told me." I stood up from my kneeling position and looked at Peter.
"Yeah." Peter scoffed
"Are you scared?"
"Of course I am." He was always so honest, it puzzled y/n. Peter felt like looking at his shuffling feet
"I don't blame you. My uncle scares me a lot."
"Is he violent to you?" Peters brows furrowed at the ground.
"Mmhm. Me and my brother."
"Caspian?" He clarified looking up at me from the floor.
"Yeah."
"As long as we are being honest... sometimes I get scared he's going to kill me and my brother."
"He's not going to touch you." His head shook "not while I'm here."
"Do you really mean that?" I asked turning to him and taking a few steps closer to him.
"I do. I promise." Peter reached for my hand gently and took my hand in his. He stepped closer to me.
"Well that makes me feel a lot better."
"I'm glad. Because..." Peter stopped for a second and swallowed harshly "I like you."
"I like you too." I smiled and gazed into his eyes
Peter smiled up at me and brushed my cheek with his finger.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked quietly.
I nodded in response and he softly planted a kiss on my lips.
"You smell good." I giggled.
"Well thank you." He laughed. Peter leaned his forehead onto mine and I took a deep breath in
"I hate to ruin the moment but I think we should get back."
"Okay." Peter removed his forehead and leaded me back.

"So when this all goes down. Peter and Edmund, you'll run here. Susan Lucy and y/n, you'll run here." Caspian pointed to the large map on the table.
"Why can't i stick close to Peter? I'm a telmarine and no threat to my uncle."
"It's too risky. He knows you're on our side. If he can cut off any attachment from us to him he will."
"Fine." I gave up with arguing with my brother.
"Susan Lucy and y/n, you're task is to find aslan."
"Aslans a myth." I scoffed
"No he's not. I've seen him." Lucy defended.
"We've all seen him." Edmund added
"So you're expecting me... to leave all protection, to find a being whom I've never seen before, in order to maybe convince him to come back to help us."
"Yes. Basically." Caspian bluntly responded.
"Great. Fantastic." I sassed.
"It's gonna work. I know you doubt me sometimes." Caspian sighed
"No no. I doubt you ALL the time."
Caspian just rolled his eyes and swiped his hair back.
"Well... as long as we are done bickering, let's get going."

"So how are we supposed to find the one specific lion in all these woods?" I questioned
"You just know. You can feel it." Lucy smiled
"Uh huh. So you're telling me I have to just feel it when I see the one lion out of the probably hundred in this radius?"
"Stop being so pessimistic." Susan grumbled
"And that's saying something coming from Susan." Lucy laughed
"Whatever. I'm just gonna go with whatever you two do."
The trio walked a little farther, stepping over fallen trees and watching as the world went by. Lucy was quiet, looking very intent on finding Aslan.
I picked up my dress from the floor, cursing when it snagged on a branch.
"This feels pointless!" I huffed, shooing my hair from my face.
"We will find him. I know it." Lucy encouraged as she trekked through the woods.
"Look! There!" Susan cheered. I gathered my dress before looking up to see a lion standing on the cliffs edge. The wind carried his mane and the sun had fallen directly behind him casting rays around.
I dropped my crumpled dress and my jaw fell.
"Wow. He's... gorgeous."
"I told you we was real." Lucy smiled still looking at him.
We all picked up the pace and made it to Aslan.
"Aslan!" Lucy laughed and nearly knocked him over with a hug.
Aslan let out a low chuckle as Susan joined in the hug.
I stood with my hands folded over me.
"Hello dear one." Aslan slow blinked at me.
"H-hi. You're... real."
"I am indeed."
"But how?"
"There are many things you may not understand. I myself do not even understand why or how we are here. We just are." Aslan stood, preparing himself for impact "now we shouldn't wait any longer. It seems like your family needs our help." Aslan glanced at Lucy and Susan.
"Get on. We've got a long way back." Susan and Lucy climbed onto the oversized lion but I hesitated.
"Come on." Susan encouraged
"No, I don't know if I can."
"We will get there a lot quicker if you do."
Without a second opinion aslan opened his mouth and caught the waist of my dress. He launched me over himself and I landed on his back.
"Okay that was scary."
"Hold on. We have some people to save."

The telmarine bridge was nearly built and found itself supporting its army who were fleeing. I followed Susan and Lucy who had gotten off aslan and now walked beside him. Susan equipped her bow, Lucy drew her dagger and i unsheathed the sword Peter let me borrow. It wasn't like me to use many weapons but Peter made me promise to protect myself. The telmarines looked at us with a pitying but also terrified look.
The grown started to shake and the water of the river started to ebb and flow. A massive wave which took the form of an older man cascaded down the river and pummeled the soldiers on the bridge. They all panicked as their footing became unsteady and they found themselves neck deep in water. After that collision, the telmarines surrendered and it was time for the collection of their weapons.
After everyone had made sure they surrendered their weapons and armor, I found Peter down the river.
"Peter!" I shouted running toward him. My dress was soaked but I was just happy to see him.
I threw myself onto him and he tightly held me to him.
"I'm glad you're safe." He mumbled into my shoulder
"I'm very alright." I laughed in reply.

I had never seen Peter like this before. He was different than when I first met him and it had only been a couple weeks. After the huge battle they had taken some time in the world of Narnia. While it wasn't their home they felt just as relaxed here. And when I watched Peter he looked so comfortable on his throne. He smiled wider and held his head up. All his siblings looked different as well. They all seemed so grown up and had a glow about them.
"I see his royal highness is enjoying his stay." I mocked as I caught up to Peter in his blue flowy, cotton shirt.
"Well I love it here. It's so different from home."
"What is home like to you?"
"It's just... different. It's not bad or anything, but here we make a difference, here we mean something, at home, we just live."
"But don't you guys have like... talking devices, boxes to watch people in, carriages that run with gas? Isn't that all wonderful?"
"It is. Don't get me wrong. Those things make our lives much easier than here. But... I don't know how to describe to someone who's never been there."
"That's alright. I know what you mean anyway."
"Really?"
"Well i imagine it would be a lot like if I went to your world. It's wonderful, but it's not home."
"I guess that makes sense." Peter nodded.
We heard a deep throat clear from behind us. I turned to see Susan and aslan walking.
"Peter. May I speak with you and Susan?" He turned to me "alone please." I just nodded and wandered off so they could talk.
I glanced back to see Peter and Susan give a glum look.
"What could they be talking about?" Caspian asked as he stood next to me.
"I don't know. But it doesn't look good." I sighed. I rested my head on Caspians shoulder and he rested his head on mine. It was very rare that my brother and I shared moments like this but it wasn't impossible for it to happen.
"You love Susan don't you?"
"I think love is a strong word but I do care for her deeply, yes. You seem the same about Peter."
"Hmm" I hummed "yeah. I suppose so."
"You know they can't stay forever right?" Caspian swallowed hard.
"Why not?" My brows furrowed. I removed my head from his shoulder and looked at him.
"This isn't their home. They have lives outside of this world. And they have people there who love them too."
"But what about us?"
"They can't just give up their lives for us. They won't be gone forever, but they do have to go."
My heart hurt at the thought of having to separate from them, especially Peter. I knew Caspian was right, but I didn't want him to be.

I stood beside Peter and Edmund as aslan spoke a great deal of a new land for the surrendered telmarines.
"We'll go." Peter volunteered. My stomach twisted.
"What?" Lucy questioned
"We have to go. This isn't where we are meant to be."
"But you love it here."
"I do Lu. But like I said, this isn't our home. It's a beautiful place that's treated us so well. But we have another life. It's time we go back."
I looked at Peter tell his sister the hard truth. I realized he was also telling me this hard truth without even looking at me. Hearing it from Caspian was one thing, but hearing it from Peter made it real.
"Thank you Peter and Susan for joining us. I'm sad to say it'll be the last."
"What?" I gasped.
"People come to Narnia to learn all kinds of things. And when their is nothing else to learn they return to their world and live. Susan and Peter have fulfilled their lessons, so this will be their last time here."
"N-no. But... how am I supposed to see you again?" I looked at Peter. He looked sad but also like he knew it was coming.
"You knew huh? You knew about this. It was what you talked about earlier."
"I did. And it was. I just didn't know how to tell you." Peter pulled me to him and kissed my forehead.
"I really care about you y/n. But I can't force you to stay or go. It's your choice."
"I have the choice to go with you?" I asked and then looked at Aslan.
"If it is what you wish, you will be able to." I looked from aslan to Peter.
"You said it wouldn't be home. Are you sure?" Peter asked. I glanced around. I saw Caspian out of the corner of my eye. My heart shattered when I knew I'd be leaving him.
I walked to Caspian with my head down.
"I think... I think I might have to do this." I told him.
"I know you do. This is your life path. It's all you've ever wanted. Someone to love you. Someone to be with." Caspian took my hands in his "all those princes you used to read about and dream of? That's Peter. He's your prince. And you have to go with him."
"But what about you?"
"I'll be fine." Caspian reassured.
"Will I get to see you again?"
"I'm sure this will not be the last time you see me."
I threw my arms around him and held him tight.
"I love you Caspian."
"I love you too y/n. You're the greatest family I could have ever asked for."
When I pulled away I walked to Peter and grabbed his hand that was outstretched for me.
I looked back to everyone and then to Caspian. I gave him a smile and a nod which he returned. I stepped into the tree following Peter. I hesitated for a moment, looking at Caspian who's smile didn't falter.
"He's gonna be alright." Peter whispered giving my temple a kiss.
I nodded as I started to move my feet again. The world swirled, my vision clouded. When it cleared a bright light blinded me. And within a moment, I was in peters world.
