Third Person's PoV

When you got back to your seat Professor Port starts his 'discussion.'

Port: "Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" cricket sound can be heard to the background.

You, Blake and Yang are sitting up and paying attention, Weiss is taking notes, and Ruby has her head propped in her hand as she takes a quick nap until she is woken back up by Port's bad joke, which receives a cricket-filled silence as a result.

Port: "Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..." gives Yang a wink, which she groans uncomfortably.

(y/n): "Look Yang, looks like Portsy's have an 'eye' for you." you said jokingly while playfully elbowing her.

Yang: "shut up (y/n)." you just giggle to her reaction.

Port: "Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" he asked the crowd hoping to get their attention.

Student: "*aises his hand* ayyyy-yep!" he stands like this for a moment as everyone looks at him strangely before sitting down, embarrassed.

Port: "That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..."

His words fade into the background (and a series of "blah"s) when Weiss notices Ruby is very focused on penciling the paper in front of her.

Port: "...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me..."

The speech evolves into more "blah"s as Ruby chuckles at her creation and shows it to her teammates: a ball-with-limbs-and-a-head drawing of the teacher with stink lines coming from him and "Professor Poop" written underneath. Ruby blows a quick raspberry. You, Blake and Yang laugh, but Weiss looks annoyed.

Port: "Ah-heh-hem!" he waits until he has their attention again.

Port: "In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!"

The teacher takes a bow as Weiss slowly gets more and more frustrated with Ruby's antics.

Port: "The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!"

Ruby is balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger while making a silly face.

Port: "A true Huntsman must be dependable!"

Ruby has fallen asleep again in the first class of the year.

Port: "A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!"

Ruby is not-so-subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss' building anger.

Port: "So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?"

(y/n)/Weiss: "I do, sir!" you both raise your hand.

Port: "Well, then, let's find out!" he turns to gesture at the glowing red eyes surrounded by shadow shaking the cage that traps it.

Port: "Mr. Crowe Step forward, and face your opponent!"

You walk your way in front just wearing your school uniform.

Port: "do you not have fighting attire?" he ask.

(y/n): "I have,  but Grimm's wouldn't wait us to change before they attack and this will be quick." you summoned a knife using your gate students and port were amazed.

Student: "what can you do to a knife?  It's so small."

(y/n): "that's not what your sister told me last night."

Port: "very well." my teammates cheer me on from their seats.

Yang Xiao Long: "*raising her fist* Goooo, Brother!"

Blake Belladonna: *waving a small flag saying "(y/n)" * Fight well!" you wink at her cause her to blush.

Ruby: "Goooo,  big brother! Represent team RWBY!" you look at them and wave your hand.

Port: "you ready?" you nod.

Port: "Allllright!" next to the cage, pulling out his axe "

Port: "Let the match... begin!" a boarbatusk wildly run to your direction trying to attack you. You just stand there waiting for it to come closer to you. 

Ruby: "big bro! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath!" she yell.

(y/n): "right!  Thanks rubes."

The Boarbatusk leaps into the air and rolls into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground, consistently gaining speed until it launches itself to you. You and the Boarbatusk collided and pass to each other, few seconds the slices you make to the Boarbatusk seen and turn the Boarbatusk into minced meat and turn to dust.

(y/n): "and that how we do job in Obit." you un summon your knife and the students starts cheering.

(a/n: Obit is a sailing restaurant where Luffy meets and recruit Sanji.)

Port: "Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed  in the presence of a true Huntsman here!" you bowed your head showing respect to Port.

Port:  "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!"

Weiss glares and turns away, walking hurriedly to the exit past her teammates.

Weiss is still storming off, but Ruby turns a corner and manages to catch up with her.

Ruby: "Weiss!" Weiss turn around.

Weiss: "What?"

Ruby: "What's wrong with you? Why are you being-?"

Weiss: "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!"

Ruby: "*scoffs* What did I do?"

Weiss: "That's just it - you've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!"

Ruby: "Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team."

Weiss: "Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better." turns her back to Ruby, trying to reach out but dropping her hand with the following words.

Weiss: "Ozpin made a mistake." walks away as Ruby looks dejected, you walk beside her and tap her shoulder getting her attention.

Ruby: "oh hey big brother." with sadden voice.

(y/n): "don't pressure yourself Ruby, you may have flows but I know you also have traits of a leader. Big brother is here for you, I'll go talk to her to enlighten her." you pull her to a hug, she also hug back.

Ruby: "thank you, you really are the best."   you two let go to the hug.

(y/n): "Ill go after her now... Go to the dorm." you wipe her tears and summon a portal.

At the rooftop.

You walk out to your portal seeing Weiss  watching the sunset over Beacon Academy's rooftops.

(y/n): "hey Weiss." you say getting her attention she turns around.

Weiss: "oh, hello (y/n)."

(y/n): "looks like you and Ruby have a small disagreement. We can talk about it."

Weiss: "Well... I-I think I should have been the leader of Team RWBY!"

(y/n): "That's preposterous!" you slightly laugh

Weiss: "Excuse me?!" with anger on her voice.

(y/n):  "I've believed in Professor Ozpin, and the man's never led vale or beacon to astray!"

Weiss: "So you would just blindly accept his decision even after seeing how exceptional I am?"

(y/n): "With all due respect, your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude."

Weiss: "How dare you!"

(y/n): "My point exactly. I see a girl before me who has spent her entire life getting exactly  what she wanted."

Weiss: "*crossing her arms, looking defiant* That's not even remotely true!" under the teacher's gaze, she reluctantly relents

Weiss: "Well... not entirely true."

(y/n): "So the outcome did not fall in your favor. Do you really believe that acting in such a manner would cause those in power to reconsider their decision?"  Weiss finally calms down and looks at you again.

(y/n): "So instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do. Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader, but the best person you can be." Weiss smiles a little at the words of wisdom.

You summon a portal to your dorm.

(y/n): "it's getting dark, let's go to our dorm I'm sure they are worried about you." you reach out your hand that Weiss gladly take and walk enter the portal.

When you two exited the portal you see Blake is sleeping under the covers, Yang is spread out on her bed and snoring, and when Weiss lifts the blanket of Ruby's tent, she finds the occupant with her head resting on notes, a pencil in her hand, and open books all around her. Weiss, looking amazed at Ruby's determination, clears her throat and gently shakes the other girl awake, who takes a second to regain consciousness and start flailing in surprise.

They start to talk you just watch them and luckily they restore their friendship. When they are done talking you go to Ruby's bed.

(y/n): "I'm so proud of you, oh and if you need help don't hesitate to ask. We are here for each other rubes." you ruffled her hair and kissed her forehead.
