Chapter 9- Blue Tears vs Blue Sea

(Your POV)

(This is the arena, sorry I didn't insert it in last chapter)
"Sir Meliodas, I wish to fight (Y/N) (L/N)." Cecilia requested, shocking most of the people here. "After all, I wish to see for myself whether or not his abilities are satisfactory."

Cecilia then activated her infinite stratos in a flashy manner, allowing her to tower over most over everyone.

She then started glaring at me, curious to see if I will rise to the occasion or back down like a wuss. So I went with the obvious choice of summoning my Blade of the Mystic, which appears in a bright (f/c) flash of light in my hands. Then I stabbed it into the ground, creating a lot of noise and showing that I won't back down.

"All you got is power and flash." I pointed out in a joking manner, before pulling the sword up again and pointing the tip of the blade at Cecilia. "As for me, I have everything else."

"Dude, you forgot to mention she has a nice rack!" Issei ruined the moment, which would annoy me if I wasn't used to it.

"You ruined the moment Issei!" I shouted back in a fake annoyed manner, before tossing the Blade of the Mystic behind me and causing it to disappear in a flash of light. "Plus having a nice rack has never helped anyone in a fight!"

"Isn't that Mai Shiraunui's entire thing?" Issei questioned, stumping me a bit because he was actually right.

"Holy shit you're right, someone take a picture!" I shout before high diving Issei, I don't care what the subject is, I'm just proud that he's got something correct that isn't hentai. "You have no idea how rare this is!"

"(Y/N), you're not taking this fight seriously?!" Cecilia shouted, pretty insulted with the fact I didn't seem to be taking this seriously. "Is this just a game to you?!"

"Oh please, if this was a game, you'd already be dead." my joking expression quickly faded into one of confidence and superiority the moment she compared this battle to a game. "After all, with every game I play, I grow stronger."

"It's true, I couldn't win a single game against him on the way here, now that I think about it, I couldn't land a single hit either." Bam told Khun, as they talked behind me. "I think we played fifteen rounds."

"My only question is why?" Khun asked in a surprised tone, possibly curious as to why Bam agreed to play that many rounds with me.

"I had nothing better to do." Bam nonchalantly adds. "Plus he showed me how to play in the first place, so it wasn't entirely one sided."

"Alright...so now that the two parties have agreed to fight each other, I suppose now everyone except you two have to exit the arena." Meliodas states, somewhat dumbfounded that I've already gotten into a fight on the first day of school. "Also, there's going to be biomes now just so you guys know how to fight in different environments, alright?"

"Rather hold on to you to assume I'll be on the ground during this fight." Cecilia and I then got on opposite sides of the center part of the arena as colorful lights suddenly appeared around you and Cecilia, constantly changing like a slot machine.

The various slot machine-like lights started slowing down before landing on different biomes, the one behind Cecilia was supposedly a gravity zone and behind me was a mountain region. Thanks to the fact that Cecilia activated her IS early, I now had an understanding of what kind of fighter she is. Given how she was holding a rifle and that there were multiple guns hovering around her, I think it's safe to deduce that she's a long range fighter, so I'll have to use my warping ability to constantly avoid her blasts.

"Now...begin!" Meliodas shouted from the bleachers and into the speakers of the arena, allowing his voice to boom throughout the arena.

(Sons of the Storm by Brunhville, you don't have to listen to it, but you could if you wanted too)

Cecilia wasted no time in flying upwards before aiming her rifle at me to begin firing in my direction and making them fire simultaneously, forcing me to go in the defensive and summon [Shield of the Just]. I slammed the bottom of the shield against the ground and immediately blocked the blasts from the rifle before summoning [Direct Hit] into my other hand.

I waited for the moment when the blasts will slow down, and that moment arrived moments later. I then used Direct Hit to rocket jump over to Cecilia while replacing my [Shield of the Just] with my [Sword of the Wise]. This little stunt caught Cecilia off guard because she went wide-eyed the moment she saw me flying up to her.

Without wasting a moment, I slashed at Cecilia's chest, which landed the first time but she flew back before I could land a second attack. Cecilia took aim at me with her rifle, possibly assuming I'm unable to move at the time. But I proved her wrong by warping over to the mountain's peak with my [Sword of the Wise] before swapping my two weapons for [Brass Beast] and opening fire on Cecilia as I stood atop the mountain.

Of course, Cecilia had aura superiority and dodged every single one of the bullets I sent flying at her. Of course she can't really fight back right now because she was too focused on dodging the bullets by doing various spins, drives, rises, and barrel rolls just to avoid getting hit. I decided to keep up the onslaught while I came up with various back-up plans to help me fight this British woman.

I know I've never piloted an IS before, but I know enough about them to know that Cecilia's IS is a personalized one, making this fight unnecessarily difficult for me. Given the various information I've seen so far, it's safe to say she has more weapons than just that rifle she's been using. However, given her ENFJ personality, it's safe to say she hasn't been using her other weapons because they sacrifice something that she relies on, most likely fire power, movement, or defense. She may be a show-off, but she's not stupid, so I shouldn't underestimate her intellect either.

My train of thought was interrupted when my Brass Beast suddenly ran out of ammo, leaving me vulnerable to Cecilia's rifle attack that soon followed. A beam of blue suddenly hit me in the chest and almost sent me flying off the arena, almost. I realize what happened just before I went off bounds and switched my [Brass Beast] for [Swords of the Wanderer] to warp back to the mountains.

I teleported to the top of another cliff before disappearing into a (f/c) light again to dodge Cecilia's rifle blast by warping to the gravity biome. Like I guessed, Cecilia wasn't stupid and caught onto a way to track where I warp, which is impressive since it's me turning into light. However, while Cecilia may be able to find out where I'm warming to, she's not able to point her gun at me right after I warped, leaving her vulnerable for a couple seconds.

I'm not one to pass up opportunities, so I switched out my [Swords of the Wanderer] for my [Bow of the Clever] and [Terra Blade]. I wasted no time by sending (f/c) mana arrows from the [Bow of the Clever] and green swords from my [Terra Blade]. Cecilia used her rifle to block the arrows, which made her stumble a bit, but the green swords were a bit much as they crashed her into the mountain.

Her collision caused a bunch of smoke to suddenly emerge from the mountain, making me stop my onslaught since I'm not a fan of overkill. I then tossed both my weapons away as they faded back into my inventory, while I just kept an eye on the rising dust. Then I noticed two rockets flying at me at absurd speeds, that's when I remembered that she must have been hiding some more tricks, guess I was right.

I didn't expect much out of missile though, so I equipped my [Blade of the Mystic] and warped to another point of the gravity dust area to avoid them, so I threw my sword into the side of a platform above me before turning myself into a (f/c) light and warping to the blade, then I rolled onto the platform and dislodged the blade.

What really caught me off guard  was the fact that the missiles were still flying towards me, and that Cecilia was now back in the back, with some noticeable scratches along her chest, firing her rifle at me. To be perfectly honest, I was impressed she managed to catch me off guard.

(At the bleachers, third person)

At the bleachers sat team RWBY and Rias's peerage in the front row in one set of the seats, while your peerage sat directly behind them. To the left of everyone sat the rest of your class, watching as the fight unfolds in front of them. As this fight went on, Rias looked noticeably nervous as she watched you stand still as missiles came your way. While the look would disappear whenever you warp to another location, it would reappear when you stood still again, recreating the process.

"Hey...Rias, was it?" Yang snapped the devil out of her thoughts, causing Rias to look at the blonde huntress. "You alright, you look pale?"

"No, I'm worried that (Y/N) will get seriously injured." Rias felt her heart was racing as she watched you jump over missiles just to warp to another platform in the gravity area. "I mean, infinite stratos users are quite deadly when they're in their element."

"That's what you're worried about?" Yang remarked, laughing a bit at the princess' worry. "(Y/N) won't lose to some girl like Cecilia, especially with how confident she's getting."

"What do you mean?" Rias questioned, before Ruby beat Yang to the punch.

"(Y/N) has a habit of giving false hope to his opponents, often making them feel like they're winning, when in reality, everything is going exactly to his plan." Ruby informs Rias before pointing back at you, who now had a mischievous grin on her face. "Even before he unlocked his semblance, he always found a way to bring down his opponent."

As she said this, Cecilia released four probes from her stratos and immediately sent them flying towards you, while you watched them come to you. Once they were in range, they immediately began firing at you, catching you off guard and making you warp towards the mountain again. This little stunt make Rias, Yang, and Ruby sweatdrop, while Blake, Weiss, Akeno, and Koneko stared at Ruby."

"What was that about 'always finding a way'?" Blake sarcastically questioned, making Ruby giggle in nervousness and Yang sigh in disappointment.

"He usually tries to assess all of the information he can before going in for the kill, in case his opponent has one more trump card up their sleeve." Yang stated before she points to you smirking. "And I have a feeling got all the information he wanted."

(Back to you)

Now I understand why she hid all of those tools. She hid the missiles as a last-ditch effort to catch her opponent off guard when they get too confident. As for the probes, it's obvious they require immense concentration to control so she has to focus on them right now. While I could use the missiles to hit her dead on, but I won't since I'm not THAT underhanded.

Though I did decide to do something similar to that, after dodging the probe's fire, I summoned my [Stickybomb launcher] and shot at the missiles, but I'm not detonating them until I feel like it. I then switched my [Blade of the Mystic] for my [Soda Popper], I wasted no time in shooting at one of the probes with the shotgun and destroying it.

Cecilia then calls back her probes and switches back to shooting at me with her rifle, while jumping from platform to platform in the gravity dust area. When the missiles were closing in, I grinned and switched my [Soda Popper] for my [Axe of the Conqueror] and warping to the top of the mountain. The missiles were now heading towards Cecilia's direction, but she caught wind of a different plan and moved above the way her missiles would fly by.

She then flew thirty feet above where the missiles would fly by, messing up my calculations a bit but it's still alright. Just as the missiles went underneath her, they were now on top of one another, perfect. I detonated the sticky bombs that I shot onto the bottom missile and caused it to explode, but the second missile didn't explode, instead it was sent straight up, towards Cecilia as she watched in shock as her own missile hit her dead on.

I was about to revel in my victory, but then I saw Cecilia falling to the ground, with her IS deactivated for some reason. Now I just felt terrible because the height of her fall could have easily killed her, so I sighed heavily and used my [Axe of the Conqueror] to warp where Cecilia would land. I wasted no time In requiping my [Soda Popper] and drinking the soda from the gun and tossing my axe to the side.

Naturally, the soda tasted awful, but it would have to work. I looked up and saw that she was around twenty feet away from the ground, so I quickly jumped over to her and caught her bridal style after dropping my gun. I was thankful for my boots, because I caused a crack when I landed.

While I held her in my arms, I carefully examined Cecilia's injuries, making sure I didn't cause too much damage. Thankfully, she just had some soot, light scars, and only a few burn marks. I was relieved I didn't accidentally kill her, speaking of which Cecilia then opened her eyes weakly and saw me holding her.

The two of us stared at each other while I held her, then I noticed that Cecilia started blushing, turning extremely red. What really caught me off guard during this entire trial was when Cecilia wrapped her arms around me and began snuggling into my chest, acting as if she had no injuries.

"Um...Cecilia?" I tried getting the girl's attention, who didn't react so I raised my voice a little "Cecilia!"

"Oh? Yes, Darling~?" Cecilia responded as she removed her head from my chest and began staring at me with stars in her eyes and a huge smile on her face.

Now I'm worried I might have hit her hard in the head during that fight, because now she's acting as if I'm her husband. As if the whole snuggling thing wasn't awkward enough. You know what, I'm just going to guess I have a party of 30 by the time this journey is done.

"You are aware that people are staring at us, right." I gestured towards the cheering classmates over by the bleachers, while Meliodas was giving me a cheeky smile and a thumbs up.

"Oh-um, right!" Cecilia realized in an embarrassed and awkward tone.

I then let Cecilia down gently, allowing her to awkwardly straighten her posture while her face was still red. She then began running towards the locker room as if she had no injuries, I would have shouted at her to go to infirmary, but I'm not one for telling people what to do. Pretty ironic, I know. I then kept an eye on her until she disappeared behind the locker room door, I just hoped she wouldn't collapse. Then I remembered my [Soda Popper] and [Axe of the Conquerer] and put them back into my inventory.

Completed Quest!
Defeat Cecilia Alcott
Desc: Read the title, you get the idea.
Reward: Cecilia's affection, +10% respect of peerage, 500 EXP.

Once Cecilia disappeared into the locker room, I made my way back to the bleachers where everyone was watching a replay of our battle on a holographic screen directly behind Meliodas. Speaking of the teacher, he was pointing out good tips for any battle, ranging from how I used my superior speed and inventory, to how Cecilia knew about her weaknesses and made the most out of what she could do. Of course, our performance wasn't all that great, Meliodas pointed out that I was too reliant on my armory and skills, and how Cecilia needed to work on her defense and close quarters.

Once I reached the edge of the stadium, I double jumped over the fence and landed on the ground directly in front of the girl named Blake. I looked up at her to see her staring directly at me, so I awkwardly waved my hand and she did the same. I then got up from the ground and walked behind Blake and her team to sit next to Joe. Who then began talking to me.

"Hey, good job out there." Joe complimented before offering a fist bump, which I accepted. "I could have beat her too, but my powers sadly don't extend to my clothes."

"Why don't we try making your clothes out of your hair?" I guessed quietly, trying not to draw much attention towards us. "I think your ability should keep your clothes if you do that?"

"I never thought of that..." Joe then began thinking to himself for a while, considering the idea. "Maybe I should talk to whoever designs the costumes for heroes in the hero course."

"Good idea." I commented before the two of us turned our attention over to Meliodas, who was now explaining the basics of chivalry and bushido, bot(of which have been modified to be a bit more modern.

(Timeskip, brought to you by Cecilia thinking about you)

After Meliodas' class, everyone had to split up to go to their respective classes. So me, my peerage, Nami, and some other people that seemed to know Nami really well. We all appeared to be going to the same class, the exact name was apparently Miscellaneous and was taught by Yoruichi. Of course, she wasn't the only one teacher, I heard rumors that she actually hired some assistance from other people to help teach the vast variety of people she's having to teach.

We kept on walking until we found a door that read 'Miscellaneous Class', none of us were really certain what to expect. Some of us wanted to play it safe and slowly open the door, but that plan went out the window when some kid kicked the door open and began shouting.

"Alright, What are we doing here?!" The one with the straw hat shouted loudly, with the rest of us just staring at him, questioning what the hell is wrong with him.

The guy with green hair kicked the straw hat kid and began shouting at him, which all of us kind of ignored as we all went through the door to see what kind of place we'd be in, and we were all rather surprised to see the kind of place we'd be training in.

This class was actually outside, and the place was a football field sized field of grass with the main building entrance on one side, while the rest of the area was pretty open with a couple buildings in the distance. Yet that wasn't the most shocking part, there were a bunch of floating islands, all of which were roughly the same size as a pool. There were also some people talking to a woman with dark hair and wild eyes, the woman kept on talking until she saw us, before smiling and waving all of the people off before disappearing.

After a moment, the woman reappeared directly in front of us. Nami, a guy with a long nose, and some deer, were taken back by the sudden arrival of the woman, but some blonde guy started worshiping her like a goddess.

"So, you lot are the ones I'm in charge of training." The woman examines all of us. "Alright, I'm Yoruichi Shihouin. One other thing, since I'm not one for wasting time, let's hurry up and get any questions over with."

"I have one." The moss head raised his hand while holding off the straw hat kid with his arm. "How are you going to train all of us?"

"Well Kisuke made a few contacts to help better train you guys in your respective areas of expertise." Yoruichi states before pulling a list out of her shirt pocket. "To sum it all up; Mori, Dawei, Sujin, Ilypo, Shiyeon, and Sanji will be working with me to improve their martial arts. Ethan, Mira, Zoro, Seungchul, and Sora will be working with Inosuke and Zenitsu to help give tips on swordsmanship. John, Seraphina, Joe, Chopper, and Luffy are stuck working with Robin to learn more about their powers. Bam, Khun, Rak, and Endorsi will be training under a friend of mine named Yuri to build up shinsu control. Sung, Dark, and Jihan will be stuck with Tessai to better master magic. As for Usopp and Nami, you two are stuck training with Ururu and Jinta."

"Wait, what about me?" I questioned, not hearing my name in the mix before I felt a familiar presence behind me.

"I'll be training you personally," Tanjiro informed me with a smile as I looked behind me. "Saorise wanted you to at least master water bending and my water breath style while you're here, so I've been sent here. Probably doesn't help that I'm the only one who knows both of those things."

"Alright, now that everyone's been introduced, go to your assigned teachers underneath their respective island." Yoruichi ordered as she began walking towards a platform beneath the center island.

"Hold on, I didn't ask my question yet!" The guy supposedly named Usopp shouted while Nami walked towards the group of people who held a giant sign that read 'Ururu and Jinta'.

"Yeah, and I said I don't like wasting time." Yoruichi responded, not really caring enough to even turn her head. "Anyways, let's get training."

With that said, I followed Tanjiro towards a platform that was underneath an island that was relatively farther from the other ones. Once the two of us were on the platform, the platform reacted. The platform started glowing a light (f/c) color before me and Tanjiro faded into small particles of the same color. I guess this was just a standard teleportation plate, but Tanjiro looked rather surprised.

My vision went dark for what I perceived to be a second, but I had a feeling it was a little longer than that. Me and Tanjiro appeared on the island to reveal that our island's design is literally just a three meter wide circle in the middle of it with water taking up the rest of the island. I looked at the edges and they revealed that there was some earth containing the water to the island, to just ensure none of it leaks.

"Since when did you learn water bending?" I broke the silence between the two of us and Tanjiro laughs a little.

"That's the funny thing, your mother taught it to me when I first joined her peerage." Tanjiro laughed to himself quietly as he began rotating his wrist to bring up some water from the pond. "Now here I am, teaching her son water bending and water breathing. So how much hydrokinesis do you know anyways?"

"Um...aside from breathing underwater and 'water alchemy'?" I question, while Tanjiro nods his head enthusiastically. "None."

"What?!" Tanjiro looks taken aback by this, enough to drop the water he was controlling earlier. "How is it the Prince of the Sea doesn't know any water techniques?!"

"Well it's not my fault my mother was always too busy cleaning the messes humans make in the ocean!" I defended, reminding Tanjiro of most of humanity's endless ability to put things in the ocean. "Hell, why do you think I beat up that one guy with a metallic chair?!"

"Well I'm curious as to-" Tanjiro cut himself off before pointing at me overdramatically. "Wait, are you part human on your father's side?!"

"Given how old he is and how often he's gotten injured, I think it's safe to say that all of his human parts got replaced with dragon parts." I reminded Tanjiro who just shrugged. "One other thing, Zeno taught me T'ai chi ch'uan over the various times he helped Tai and Summer take care of me."

"Well T'ai chi ch'uan is the basic martial art of water bending, so let's get started." Tanjiro enthusiastically shouted. "Now let's do what an old friend told me to do...set our hearts ablaze!"

A/N: T'ai chi ch'uan this is an absolute nightmare to type so I'm calling it Tai chi chuan from now on. One other thing about this martial art, it's relaxing as fuck. Thanks for reading this chapter and have a good day!
