Chapter 23-Seven Deadly Sins

(Your POV)
After the whole familiar forest experience, everything kind of went back to normal to a point. The only difference was that I now need to find a way to explain to my peerage about the combination of my father's and mother's abilities, which is pretty hard to do when that ability is to get stronger with my temper rising. Hence how I can throw a metal folding chair at someone across a pier.

Disregarding my temper tantrums, it was officially hell week at the clan house for us. Me and all our peerage members were now training our asses off, mainly by working our physical bodies as well as working with our individual abilities. Since all of us are horrible at training people, my peerage agreed to have Sung be a kind of mentor since he's something of a jack-of-all-trades and has the highest level out of all of us.

He decided to assign each of us the same exercise, 100 push ups, 100 pull ups, 100 curl ups, 100 squats, and a 10 KM run. Sadly, we weren't allowed to use magic or skills to help us throughout any of the exercises, pushing all of us to get perfect summer bodies or something. How he came up with the exercises is beyond me, but almost everyone seemed to find it a fair work out. Everyone seemed to be doing fine, except for me, Dark, Khun, and Sera, all of us were most likely on the brink of dying.

"Sera...go on without me..." I weakly said with my face implanted into the dirt track and my hand outstretched overdramatically. "By the way, none of ya'll are in my will."

"Then who...is?" Dark panted as he had his hands on his knees, struggling to catch his breath.

"Ruby gets my sword and shield replica...Yang gets my video game collection...Issei gets my Pornhub account I used to subscribe to Ryan Creamer...and Ichigo gets my Duck." I then breathed harshly, like I was dying. "Yoshino gets everything else."

"My biggest concern would be what Yoshino does with twenty different weapons." Khun sweat drops, either from the heat or the effect of what I just said.

"Self defense." I answered, while I raised my hand and pointed it at the sky in a matter-of-fact manner.

"No offense, but I doubt Yoshino is going to use any of your weapons." Sera answered as she laid in the dirt track next to me, but she's on her back.

"I'm well aware of that, but that Yoshinon guy looks like he's not hesitant to stab a bitch at all." I answered while dropping my hand.

"Yoshinon is just a puppet!" Dark shouted as he breathed heavily, kind of surprising me. "You thought Yoshinon was alive this entire time?!"

"I thought Yoshinon was a magic puppet that fed off magic who Yoshino just liked." I answered bluntly, knowing full well everything goes in this world.

"The fact that you're our boss makes me worried." Khun comments as he starts to regain his breath. "Also, you guys may want to move out of the way."

"Why is that?" Me and Sera asked before the two of us suddenly felt the ground shake and heard violently fast footsteps behind us.

Me and Sera quickly got up and moved out of the way, finally realizing the people who were running were none other than Mori, Sujin, and Ilpyo, all of whom seem to have something of a rivalry going on. After the three of them passed, I remembered that I had to run 10 laps on the track, and I've only done 3. Meanwhile, the three martial artists passing us most likely did 20 to prove what martial art is superior.

With that in mind, I breathed in one last breath for air before jogging around the track once more. I still had trouble with running, since even in fights I'm relatively aloof. Not even two minutes into the run, I started sweating buckets and gasping for air. I then noticed that someone placed a hand on my back, I turned my head to see it was Rak in his larger form.

"King Turtle, what are you doing?" Rak questioned, as if the answer wasn't already obvious.

"I'm dying here." I answered in my New Jersey accent, perfectly mimicking Scout. "How Sung does this stuff everyday is beyond me.

"If your glorious leader can do it, then you can too!" Rak cheered, most likely referring to himself for whatever reason. "Wait, If King Turtle has trouble with training that makes Rak stronger than King Turtle!"

"Not necessarily pall, I can totally kick your ass." I remarked in my usual voice, gaining a boisterous laugh from Rak.

"Hey, I'd you two don't start running I'll send you both to the desert dungeon!" Sung informed us from the center of the field, as he spoke into a megaphone, getting me and Rak to start running in the process.

"NIGERUNDAYO Rak, I'm not into vore!" I fearfully shouted while me and Rak both continued running down the track, mainly out of fear knowing what the desert dungeon was.

"What's a vore?!" Rak shouted as he ran alongside me.

"For Yoshino's sake, I will not explain that." I explained as I used my thumb point over to Yoshino, who stood by the tree as she held a small poster that said 'You can do it!'.

"By the way, King Turtle, do you have any idea as to why those people are after you?" Rak asked out of nowhere, surprising me because he was usually the big dumb guy. "True warriors don't hunt anything without a purpose, and they never go after anyone in particular without a good reason."

"If I had to guess, it has to do with my Grandmother, Hel." I explained remembering the pictures of a young Saoeise, Ryujin, and a woman with dark hair. "She kind of tricked Ryujin, for reasons we still don't know, into being her husband for a little while by disguising herself as a beggar girl and keeping up the disguise for years. The two of them were happy until my mother decided to marry Zeno, then Hel revealed that she disguised herself and started causing some problems. So long story short, Hel could have something to do with this."

"Does she hate turtle kind that much?" Rak asked as the two of us watched a wolf, most likely Joe, run past us.

"From what I've read from the library, Hel is just a bitch." I answered bluntly, knowing full well everyone in the sea hates her. "She's a daughter of Loki and is most likely the cause of Ragnarok. As for why she's doing this...she's just one of those horribly written villains who just do things because they feel like it."

After explaining things to Rak, I kept on running down the track, trying to build up my CON stat in the process. Of course, I collapsed on multiple occasions, but Rak helped me by yeeting me forward and forcing me into my feet. As I did so, I kept on trying to remember why exactly Hel tricked Ryujin into marrying her and having Saorise.

My first theory was that Hel wanted a relationship and that Ryujin is a good choice for her, since Hel hates heat and Ryujin can't produce much heat in the first place. However that doesn't explain why she freaked when Mother wanted to marry Zeno. Actually, I guess it does. Hel hates all forms of heat, both physical and metaphorical, and Zeno is one warm person. So of course Hel would be against the marriage of the guy, plus he's technically human.

Gods dammit, why does family drama have to be so complicated.

(Timeskip, brought to you by Yoshino trying her best to pick up a collapsed (Y/N) while Ichigo and Issei took pictures of the scene)

It was an average day in Meliodas' arena that doubled as his classroom, while Meliodas was going on about the importance of variety and combat experience. He was using an old friend of his as an example, Ban was the man's name I believe. Meliodas was using him as an example because Ban combined both his skills as a thief and his immortality to fight some heavy hitters.

As he explained these skills, he also talked about what it meant to be a leader, most likely speaking from experience. Going in about how a leader should be hard working, determined, reliable, and pretty much the model student. As he talked, I looked around the room at the supposed 'leaders' for anyone who displayed these traits, since I obviously didn't have them.

I was on my [Stats] screen, trying to find a way to improve myself. Rias and Sona were glaring dagger at each other, while Di-I mean Arlo sat in the back with his arms crossed. Luffy was sitting with his crew, silently taking bites of beef jerky from his bag. Ruby wasn't really paying attention, drawing some kind of image about me and her...moving on. Jaune looked like he was actually trying to take notes, the same as Ikaruga, Izuku, and Cecilia. As for Jotaro, he just didn't that much of a shit. Though in all seriousness, I doubt any of us are fit to lead.

For starters, Rias and Sona are too power hungry, the only thing I hate about devils is how things work down there, the strong survive after all. Arlo is just way too prideful, while I was too aloof and inexperienced in leadership. Jotaro on the other hand just didn't tell others about his plans, usually leaving them in the dark. Everyone else just lacked experience in leadership, something we could easily fix.

"So Who here thinks they fit that description?" Meliodas asked the class, not getting many answers, and there was only one hand up. "Weiss Schnee, do you think you display these traits?"

"I do sir!" Weiss agreed as she suddenly stood up from her seat, weapon sheathed at her waist.

"Well let's see if you are right." Meliodas then gestured to the crate next to him, one that seemed to move as if something alive was in there and wanted out. "Come on down."

As Weiss walked down to the steps, she fixed her posture and readied her grip on her weapon. Once she was at the base of the stairs, Weiss walked directly in front of the container and prepared her rapier. Meliodas, on the other hand, pulled out a phone and pressed a button on the screen, opening the container door in the process to reveal a Boarbatusk.

"Go Weiss!" Yang cheered for her teammate from her seat with the rest of her team.

"Fight well!" Blake announced as she waved a small flag that said 'Team RWBY' on it.

"You can do it Weiss!" Rias cheered for her fellow noble, are they friends now?

"Hey Weiss, If you win, I'll make your favorite dish for dinner!" I offered, gaining a joyful look from Weiss in the process.

"Yeah, represent team RWBY well, sister!" Ruby excitedly encouraged her teammate, causing Weiss to give her the usual cold glare.

"Ruby, I'm trying to focus!" Weiss snapped at Ruby, kind of pissing me off, but I'm not the kind of guy who goes back on a promise.

"S-Sorry!" Ruby looked down in shame, making me feel awful for her.

After the few words of encouragement for us, the Boarbatusk charged at Weiss with the intent to kill. Weiss dodged the grimm's charge, causing it to slide across the ground and let out a low huff. The two then began circling around each other in the small space offered to them.

Weiss then rushed towards the Boarbatusk, attempting to strike the skull but the boarbatusk managed to trap Weiss' weapon with its tusks while Weiss kept her grip firm. The two were quarreling for a little while before the Boarbatusk won and tossed the rapier to the other side of the space, leaving Weiss without a weapon.

"Man, What will you do without your weapon?" Meliodas asked as he stood behind my seat, then he decided to rest his elbow on my head and rest his head on his palm. "By the way, (Y/N), I have a favor to ask you, mind seeing me after class?"

"Sure." I agreed since Meliodas is actually a cool guy when he wants to be, makes me question how he got the title 'Dragon Sin of Wrath'.

"Thanks, Bro." Meliodas snickered before messing my my hair and walking back to the front.

"Come on, Weiss, you can do it!" Ruby encouraged her teammate, causing Weiss to give her a pissed off glare.

Weiss then walked over to the railing dividing the dock with the arena, she then stood still as she watched the Boarbatusk. The grimm fell fro her trap and charged at her, causing Weiss to use her semblance to move out of the way. The grimm tried moving to slow itself down, but it was too late, the Boarbatusk crashed into the railing and got itself stuck. Weiss used this opportunity to rush over to her weapon and grab it, readying her stance once more.

"Nice move Weiss!" Meliodas encouraged proudly, as he stood by the sidelines. "So how will you finish it off?"

"Weiss! Go for its belly!" Ruby advised from her seat, trying her best to give decent advice. "There's no armor underneath-"

"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss Barker back at Ruby, with her temper getting the best of her.

Ruby looks hurt by Weiss' burst of anger, but Weiss didn't care, she was solely focused on the grimm in front of her. Once the Boarbatusk regained it's stance, the grimm leaped into the air and suddenly turned into a ball. Strangely enough, this ball launched itself at Weiss and Weiss stayed still again. After the grimm got close enough, Weiss activated her glyph to knock the grimm back before using a black glyph to launch herself at the Boarbatusk. The grimm had no time to react from Weiss' strike, allowing the girl to impale the grimm's stomach and turn it into black dust.

"Well done Weiss, it appears your combat abilities are better than what your status claims. "Ain't perfect, but it was still pretty good."

In response to this, Weiss huffed and proceeded to walk over to the bleachers with her teammates. Ruby still looked hurt while Blake and Yang just tried to keep the morale up with more of Yang's bad jokes. Meanwhile, Meliodas went over what Weiss did correctly and what she could have improved upon, not mentioning her attitude because he knew that would end badly.

He kept on talking until the bell went off, signaling lunch just started. So most of the class left, with the only exception being me. I told my peerage I'll meet up with them during the last period of the day, so once everyone left, I walked up to Meliodas. Strangely enough, he wore a different expression from his usual humorous and somewhat perverted personality, now his expression kind of read like 'passing on the torch'.

"You needed something?" I asked the man, who simply had a light smile on his face instead of the wide smirk. "You're not the kind of guy who does things without a reason.

"Correct (Y/N), Tell me, how much do you know about the seven deadly sins?" Meliodas asked out of nowhere, confusing me a bit, but I still complied.

"They were formed by you and Merlin, the Boar Sin of Gluttony, for the purpose of defeating the Ten Commandments." I answered as I remembered the story about Inquisitor (Y/N). "After that was done, you found someone by the name of Inquisitor (Y/N) Hikari Dust. You helped the man out by ending some war in modern day Europe, and then all of you guys kid of retired and did your own things. You got married to Elizabeth and had a kid, Ban married Elaine, King and Diane became leaders of the fairies and giants respectfully, Gowther became a renowned psychologist, and Merlin somehow brought Escanor back to life and lived happily ever after, why?"

"Well, we just requested that the last part wasn't told, but you wanna know what happened?" Meliodas asked, to which I agreed since I'm a curious individual. "Inquisitor (Y/N) summoned a different (Y/N) and that (Y/N) brought Escanor back to life, similar to what you did back at the entrance exams."

"Alright, so now I have clones all around History, gotcha." I replied, trying to figure out how many versions of me there are, there's the Inquisitor, Lost, Defender, and a dragon slayer. "So what does this have to do with me?"

"Well, since he brought back a friend of mine, I decided to find a way to pay him back, so I came up with a perfect way to do so." Meliodas then proceeded to unsheathe his sword from his back and hold it out in front of me. "I want you to form the new Seven Deadly Sins, with you as the new Dragon Sin of Wrath."

"Eh?!" I was taken aback by this, especially since my teacher just asked me to reform one of the most powerful organizations in history. "Why me?!"

"Well, think about it, we're pretty similar." Meliodas explained as he began counting off similarities. "Both of us tend to be laid-back, know a lot more than we let on, are somehow connected to a dragon, skilled with a variety of weapons, scary as all hell when we're angry, and we're both lady killers."

"I have my doubts about the last one, but I guess you're right about everything else." I placed a hand on my forehead and brushed my hair back in stress. "Still, why would a fire-using demon lord want a water demigod to take his place as the new Sin of Wrath."

"Easy, water best represents Wrath because it's the only element that can get angry, as compared to fire, which is just hungry." Meliodas explained as he held his sword [Lostvayne] out in front of me. "So what do you say, Dragon Prince (Y/N)?"

"Guess I have no choice but to accept." I accepted Meliodas' offer, causing him to hand me his sword, then I used [Observe] on it.

Lostvayne
Rank:S+
Desc: Allows the user to clone themselves, but the clones have a fraction of the user's strength, with the fraction on how many clones the user wants to summon. If the user summons one clone, that clone is only half of the user's strength. If the user summons 4 clones, those clones are all 1/5 of the strength, and so on.

"So where do you want the tattoo?" Meliodas asked as he held some sort of stamp in his hands. "Shoulder, back, neck, where?"

"Any chance I can get it on the back of my left hand?" I asked Meliodas, who nodded in understanding before stamping the hand and giving me a dark (f/c) tattoo. "You know, I have an idea of what to do with this."

"What's that?" My teacher asked in curiosity as I dismissed [Lostvayne] into my inventory

"You know how the tournament is tomorrow?" I asked Meliodas, who nodded in anticipation. "Well how about I win the tournament, and I announce the 'Seven Deadly Sins are back' as I show off my tattoo?"

"(Y/N), you've made me proud." Meliodas placed a hand on my shoulder with his thumb up to show how much he liked the idea. "However, you'd better win."

"Sorry man, I didn't plan on losing." I smirked with the guy, who returned with his own smirk and the two of us grabbed each other's arms like we were doing an arm wrestle. "I think it's about time we show the world what happens when a dragon decides to get serious."

(Timeskip, brought to you by (Y/N) thinking about who would be good additions to the new Seven Deadly Sins)

After my talk with Meliodas, I quickly modified my [Pip-Boy] to look similar to Noctis' glove by adding a (f/c), fingerless glove to it just to cover up my new tattoo. Not that I'm ashamed of it or anything, I just want to get the max effect out of this new position of mine. Of course, now I need to find new members to add to the Seven Deadly Sins. Sadly, going to my peerage for members wouldn't exactly work, since it's kind of ruin The whole idea of the Seven Deadly Sins being full of leaders. No offense to Sung and Jihan, but that's how it be.

Of course, Rias and Sona popped into my head the moment I started thinking with a good reason. Rias is in the 'Lucifer' family and Sona is in the 'Leviathan' family, Lucifer represents Pride and Leviathan represents Envy, so having them as members would make sense. Arlo was no pushover either, from what I've seen. Arlo can summon strong barriers for defense or for offense by crushing his enemies with the barriers. On downside is, when his barriers get damaged, he gets the damage as well. Yet I think he'll make a good member for the sin of Sloth, since he did nothing about the corruption at his whole school.

Another duo I thought about were Ichigo, Luffy, and a powerful spirit. Ichigo is a good option for Greed because of the reason he wants to get stronger, he wants power to protect his friends, a greedy goal but one with good intentions. As for Gluttony, well Luffy eats a congalala shitload of food on a daily basis from what Nami told me. As for the spirit thing, well I thought it's ironic about how their magic comes from their mouths and Shido needs to kiss them to seal their power off. To be honest, I hope he worked on that. Now that I think about it, Reine did seem odd in that organization of hers, I don't know why, she just stood out to me.

As I walked down the halls, trying to find out who I should recruit, I passed by an entryway to a balcony to see Weiss standing outside, most likely thinking to herself about something. I decided to walk over to her, since I don't think anyone likes being alone. As I made my way over to the 'Ice Queen', Weiss didn't seem to notice me, allowing me to see another side of her. Her eyes showed conflicting emotions and anger, despite this, she kind of looked more like a 'Snow Princess' to me. God that was so freaking lame.

"Yo!" I greeted Weiss, after placing a hand of her shoulder, shocking her for a moment before she turned around to see me. "Hey Weiss."

"O-Oh, Hello (Y/N)." Weiss looked flustered for a moment before she quickly regained her posture. "What brings you out here?"

"Just thinkin'." I answered as I leaned against the railing to examine the scenery below us, revealing a garden sat below us. "What about you?"

"Just trying to deal with some things..." Weiss answered as she stood next to railing with me. "Hey, mind if I ask you something? I mean, you've known Ruby almost as long as Yang has, right?"

"Yeah, and we've known eachother since birth, our parents are close friends." I answered honestly, respecting the fact that Weiss decided to open up to me. "Let me guess, you're concerned about her leadership skills?"

"H-Huh?!" Weiss stammered, giving me the answer I was looking for. "H-How did you know that?"

"My nickname was the Lazy Tactician back in Oregon, thanks to my ability to seemingly read minds." I answered with a teasing smirk while looking at her. "So you wanna know my opinion about Ruby's leadership skills?"

(A/N: Since this story takes place on Earth and not in Remnant, Tai's house is in Oregon since it makes sense, given the house's style, fauna, and Tai's personality)

"Yeah, I'm curious to know your opinion on her skills, since Yang won't give me an answer." Weiss replied and I lightly chuckled, that sounds like something Yang would do.

"My honest opinion is that she's inexperienced to be sure." I calmly said, watching the people in the garden below me, allowing me to hear a light gasp of hope from Weiss. "However, Ruby's a determined girl who can and will do anything she sets her mind to, how do you think she mastered that heavy scythe of hers? Trust me, give her some time, and she'll become the best leader in the world."

"Determined, she's childish and immature!" Weiss shouted back, covering her mouth in fear after she said that, while I simply brushed it off.

"I'm not going to kill you for stating your opinion." I reassured gently while still keeping up my calm demeanor. "As for the childish part, Well, it's best to think of people's personas like cups of water. All cups are different and can hold different amounts, some can even leak water with a nozzle. The one thing they have in common is that all cups can only hold so much water, or stress in a person's case. Once a cup of water is filled and you add more water to it, what do you think happens to the person?"

"They...break down?" Weiss asked, sighing in defeat after seeing my point.

"Exactly, Ruby is the kind of cup that lets water out from time to time, just to make sure she never overflows." I straightened back up and started walking over to the entryway again. "That's what makes a good leader, Snow Princess, making sure your cup never fills to the brink. Later."

As I walked off down the hallway, Weiss didn't say anything in shock of what I just said. I looked to my right to see a reflection of Weiss, holding her hands to her chest and she looked at the garden below her. Then I heard her say something.

"Snow Princess? It's a nice change from 'Ice Queen'."

(A/N: Hello again, and before you ask, yes you will be a leader of the New Seven Deadly Sins, which we're already picked out by the time I wrote chapter 5. Before you ask, no you won't have the Full Counter ability until much later, but Lostvayne will be your go to for melee combat while Failnaught is still the primary for Long-range combat. Also, I hope this chapter clears something up, I realized I may have confused some people with the last line of the previous chapter, so don't worry, we're still cool with Leviathan.
