Chapter 21-Caution: Wet Floor

(Your POV)
Two days after the attack on the Rescue Zone, it was now the weekend and a time to relax or train. I personally spent the weekend relaxing at the ORC clubroom with Yoshino with me. Normally, I would be worried for Yoshino's innocence while hanging out with Issei and Akeno, but everyone else kind of forced them to be on their best behavior while Yoshino was in the same room as them.

As of right now, me and Yoshino sat on the couch, with me playing a game of chess against Rias and Yoshino sharing a chocolate with Koneko. I was constantly staring into Rias's eyes as she sat on the chair across from me, constantly changing my focus from her eyes to the chessboard and back.

Issei on the other hand was proving that his perversion wasn't his only personality trait, since he was busy trying to figure out some kind of social media platform that was specifically used by devils. He sat on the chair next to me, so I can see his phone screen, and I was surprised to see a music sheet.

"Issei, is there some sort of perverted code in that music sheet of yours?" I asked the guy, earning an offended stare from him. "Dude, c'mon, you're the second most hated character on Wattpad for your perversion, of course I'd be suspicious."

"Well you're not wrong, but Joe managed to get me into music, so I'm trying it out." Issei announced as he read the music sheet and tried humming to the tune. "Do you play any instruments?"

"No, I'm just really good at singing and mimicking other people's voices." I said the last part in Issei's voice, freaking him out a bit while I smirked. "The sea isn't really a place for instruments because, you know, water damage and high pressure."

"You sing?" Akeno excitedly asked as she walked behind the couch and placed her hands on the back of the seat. "Care to sing a song for us?"

"I don't like singing in front of people." I embarrassingly scratched my cheek while moving my knight piece to take Rias' rook. "I get way too nervous."

"Father, you sing me a lullaby whenever I have trouble sleeping." Yoshino pulled at my sleeve, while her statement attracted the attention of everyone else in the room, which was Koneko, Kiba, Dark, and Joe. "I really like that Jellyfish one."

"That's the one my grandfather used to sing and how did you know it was about jellyfish?" I asked my adoptive daughter before lightly booping her on the nose and earning a giggle.

"Aw, how sweet." Akeno teased in a joking manner, different from her usual seductive voice.

"Is now a bad time to mention I thought that was a girl singing this entire time?" Joe questioned everyone, most likely referring to the time I used my mother's voice to sing her lullaby.

"(Y/N), if you sing a song, I'll let you tou-" Rias was about to flaunt her chest before she realized Yoshino was staring at her in confused awe. "Erm...let's just say I'll give you a special reward."

"That's a no from me." I bluntly shot back, fully aware of Rias' idea of a reward, but I'm fairly certain she wouldn't last that long even if I did accept.

"That's not gonna work." Dark pointed out from the bookshelf before pulling something from his pocket. "(Y/N), how about giving us a song and I'll get a friend of mine to send out someone to clean out the beach nearby."

"Deal accepted!" I enthusiastically accepted Dark's offer, since I can't stand it when trash is thrown into bodies of water. "I'll sing that jellyfish song Yoshino mentioned."

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

(A/N: Before you ask, yes I watched Dramatical Murder, I like mystery anime almost as much as I like making bad jokes)

As I sang, I realized that Dark was using my very nature against me. For those who don't know, dragons like myself hate messes and trash. We hate it so much in fact, we'd start rainstorms when we leave our lakes or oceans just to clean out the body of water. Though  I just happen to be more laid back about it because of Zeno's side, my mother and grandfather on the other hand will occasionally bring hurricanes to people who throw stuff in the water. What? You thought Florida is the prime target for hurricanes just because of the weather?

After I finished singing, I realized the doors to the clubhouse burst open to reveal there were now eight people standing in the doorway. All eight of them walked in like they owned the place while Isen and Blyke followed behind, with Isen looking panicked and Blyke looking more annoyed.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Elaine, Arlo, Remi, Blyke, and Isen had nowhere to stay so I decided to let them stay, much of John's anger. Of course, I gave them jobs to make themselves useful. Blyke and Isen would basically guard the main gate for an hour each day, Elaine would serve as an onboard medic, Remi is basically a walking battery, and Arlo is useless for now. Despite their strained relationship, everyone from Wellston got along with each other, except for John and Arlo still. Something about hierarchy and anarchy was the issue. I'm still trying to get the point across that we don't have either of those things here...we appear to be running a malarkey.

"Sona." Rias looked up from her chair to look at the girl with short black hair and purple glasses.

"Rias." The newly dubbed Sona greeted as she stood next to Rias with a challenging glare.

"What brings you here?" Rias asked, bearing a serious expression on her face, like she was talking to an enemy.

"You scheduled for a visit to the familiar forest three weeks ago for this very day." Sona reminded the girl, while they both just glared at each other. "It just so happens that I've scheduled for the familiar forest three months ago."

"Can you two cut the nonsense?" I asked the two girls, while I put both of my arms on the back of the chair. "What you two are arguing about is pretty mediocre, and doesn't require you to have such serious expressions."

"Who do you think you are?" Sona turned her attention to me, her expression turning into an angry one, while I just gave her a smug grin.

"(Y/N) (L/N), Descendant of the Ryujin." I smugly said, watching the color drain from Sona's face. "I take it you're a devil from the Leviathan family, correct?"

"Y-Yes Sir (Y/N)." Sona fearfully shook, making me realize how scared members of the Sitri family are of the (L/N) family. "I-If you want, I can j-just hand the reservation over to Ms.G-Gremory."

"Why are you so scared?" The pathetic blonde kid from the last chapter suddenly made his appearance known, by walking over to me and giving me a threatening glare. "He doesn't look like much."

"You idiot, he from the (L/N) Clan!" Sona shouted at the blonde in a hushed voice. "Not only do they possess water and ice magic that can rival the Sitri's, but they also have access to lightning, wind, sand, life, moon, and even gravity magic!"

"The last two are kind of out of my reach, but I'm getting the hang of the rest." I smirked cockily, knowing I have full control of the situation. "As for the familiar forest crap, can both of you explain why you need to go to the familiar forest?"

"Simple, Asia and Issei joined my peerage recently, and they need to get familiars of their own." Rias informed me, while Issei put his phone away and looked curious.

"The same goes for me, but in my case it's Saji, the idiot who insulted you." Sona then had a girl with long black hair drag the blonde guy in question away. "So what are you going to do?"

"Well if you're not going to go.." Rias tried getting out of her seat, but I quickly used my [Seiryu's Eyes] to paralyze her for a moment and forced her to sit down. "Wha-?"

"I'm not a fan of just giving stuff away." I admitted as I began thinking of a way to settle this, while Blyke and Isen ran up to me and started talking began

"I'm so sorry for failing you, please don't kill us!" Isen pleaded and even started crying, even though I didn't plan on killing anyone in this room in the first place. "I promise this won't happen again!"

"Isen, it's not our fault these jerks snuck in while we were eating our lunch, it was a dirty trick!" Blyke shouted angrily at the Sitri girl. "(Y/N), allow us to teach these guys a lesson."

"Why are you guys acting like I'm your leader, I'm just some guy with a couple fancy toothpicks." I shrugged jokingly before letting out a low laugh. "Also, Isen, I don't plan on killing either of you."

"You don't?" Isen then had tears of joy streaming down his face as he bowed before me. "You have been merciful, oh great king! Arlo would have definitely kill us!"

"Just what kind of boss was Arlo?!" I asked before I got an idea of what Rias and Sona should do. "Oh hey, now I know."

"What?" Sona and Rias said in unison, obviously wondering what I had in mind.

"Is it a bikini contest?" Issei asked, 100% serious in his question.

"No Issei, I'm recommending a game." I suggested, getting a very underwhelmed reaction out of everyone. "Okay wow, I feel very insulted right now."

"What kind of game?" Joe asked, as he sling his guitar case over his shoulder and stood up from his chair. "Chess? Shogi? Checkers?"

"Well, I'm going to let the two contenders pick their game." I stated before turning my full attention to both Sona and Rias. "So girls, what's it gonna be?"

(Timeskip brought to you by (Y/N) throwing a metal chair at someone who tossed their cigarette into a lake)

"Tennis, they chose tennis."

Everyone who was originally at the clan house now stood on a hill next to a tennis court, making a pretty large audience in attendance. I was surprised to see we have an actual tennis court on the property, but I brushed it off since we've gone through weirder. In any case, it was Sona and Tsubaki against Rias and Akeno, playing for who goes to the familiar forest and who doesn't.

As the four girls played tennis, I noticed that more and more tennis balls ended up out of bounds, scorching the ground, or just down right going through the tennis rackets. I decided not to care too much about it, since I know how devils can be at times. Usually power hungry and show offs, which is kind of understandable. I mean, to devils and gods, power is basically money. So it's reasonable for either of us to be extremely power hungry.

As Rias knocked a tennis ball at Sona, I noticed a red magic was coating the ball, and Sona's racket was covered in a blue aura.  I ignored this and looked at Issei, who was trying to learn the guitar while Joe taught him how. Issei's guitar was bright red with a green circle in the middle, making it look similar to his sacred gear. Meanwhile, Joe stood next to him and showed him the basics of the strings.

"Dad?" Yoshino called as she sat on my shoulders, allowing her to become to the tallest person here. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure thing, Princess, What is it?" I responded to my adoptive daughter by looking up at her.

"Will my chest ever grow as big as theirs?" Yoshino asked, almost making me scream in the highest pitch voice I can muster, which could rapture some eardrums.

"Erm...let's hope not, unless you want back pain." I answered honestly, recalling the times where Akeno and Rias complain about pain in their lower back. "Usually I'm stuck helping those two with the pain via messages that mermaids use to help with their back pain."

"He's got a point." Yang answered as she stood next to me with a bucket of fried chicken in her hands. "Plus it makes it really hard to balance."

"I've always wondered what those noises were coming from your room at night." Koneko bluntly commented as she sat on a tree branch, obviously with a lollipop in her mouth. "So you've just been trying to relieve their back pain?"

"Key word in that sentence is 'trying', they're the ones who make it weird." I responded to the white haired girl, who kind of reminded me of a cat. "I kind of give up after five or ten minutes because they won't stop moaning."

"Oh thank gods." Yoshino breathed a huge sigh of relief as she said this, making me nervous.

"What do you mean by that?!" I worriedly shouted at my adorable daughter before Esdeath walked up to me with someone else with her. "Oh hey Esdeath, who's this with you?"

"This is Lorem, one of Ryujin's silver Generals." Esdeath introduced the white haired woman next to her, who excitedly waved at me.

"Esdeath, don't tell me you forgot about Gospel!" The newly dubbed Lorem proudly showed off the child in her arms, who is supposedly the boy named Gospel she's referring to. "He's adorable!"

"Aw, is that Gospel?" Yoshino closely examined the child as she sat atop of my shoulders. "He's cute."

"Glad to finally see someone with a good eye." Lorem smugly stated as Gospel tried reaching his tiny hand out to me, and I let him grab my finger. "Good news, it seems Gospel likes you (Y/N)."

"To the list she goes." Ethan stares with a smirk, as he takes out a piece of paper from his pocket and begins writing on it.

"Stop adding single girls with no love interest onto the list!" I ordered the gambler, who didn't listen as he finished writing and put his notebook away, going back to leaning against the tree.

"Also, Father." Yoshino called me once more, still on my shoulders. "Who's going to be my mother? I'm getting confused."

"What do you mean getting confused?" I asked, hearing a giggle escape Gospel's lips.

"Here's a list." Dawei then walked up to us and handed Yoshino a notepad full of names supposedly. "At this point, we're just as lost as you are."

"I can't help but feel a little insulted by that." I sweatdrop while another laugh came from Gospel and a light giggle from Lorem. "Also, who's winning the tennis game?"

"So far, it's a tie." Dawei answered with his hands in his pockets, seemingly even more tired than usual.

"We've been out here for an hour and a half for nothing?" I asked for confirmation, getting a nod in response. "Alright, maybe it's time I chose the game..."

(Timeskip brought to you by Yoshino and (Y/N)'s peerage debating who (Y/N) is going to end up with)

So apparently I couldn't choose what game they play because my game's were all too 'slow' and too 'strategy based'. Keep in mind my recommendations were Connect Four, Cards Against Humanity, and Exploding Kittens.

What was their solution? Dodgeball.

Now we were all inside a basketball court we just so conveniently had on the property. Of course, since Sona's peerage has more people, me and someone else had to join Rias' team to ensure this was something of a fair fight. Given the sport, I figured out the perfect person to bring with me.

"So Bam What do you think, pretty cute right?" Endorsi asked the boy in question as she showed off her red bloomers and yellow shirt to Bam, obviously making the guy uncomfortable. "C'mon, I know you find it somewhat attractive."

"Endorsi, please stop flirting with Bam and help me over here." I politely ordered Endorsi as I examined my own attire.

My attire was nothing special, I was just wearing my haori and gym shorts. Of course, wearing just a haori showed off my chest and gills if I moved around too much. However, I was used to this kind of attire for working out, so I can't really do that much about it. Yet I felt the intense stares of just about every female in the room, with the only exceptions being Nora, Pyrrha, Mira, Endorsi, Rukia, and Orihime. Now I started to feel nervous, so I decided to ask Endorsi why everyone was staring at me.

"Hey, Endorsi." I got her attention as she walked over to me, waving to Bam as she did so.

"Yeah?" Endorsi responded as she began stretching her arms.

"Any idea as to why everyone's staring at me?" I asked while stretching my legs on the ground. "It's making me nervous?"

"Oh that's an easy one, you're an attractive, fit, and kind person, so of course girls would be attracted to you." Endorsi bluntly answered, catching me off guard as she looked unfazed. "I would be attracted to you as well, but Bam is all that and way cuter."

"Glad to hear that, are you two dating already?" I asked Endorsi, who turned red and shook her head quickly. "Why not?"

"Well, my methods tend to make Bam pass out from embarrassment." The princess admitted, still red about my question. "I love him more than anything, so I don't know what to do..."

"Hey, how about this?" I stood up and began stretching my back as I started explaining my offer. "You can ask me for advice on guys like Bam, and you give me advice on girls. Deal?"

"Sounds like a good deal." Endorsi answered, causing the two of us to stop stretching and shake hands, plus another pop-up to appear in front of me.

System: You managed to earn Endorsi's full Approval!
Rewards: 2,000 Lien, Fisherman Class Training (Only available by Endorsi at the Dojo), +5 STR stat, +20 DEX and STR while fighting alongside Endorsi.

I dismissed the pop-up to finish training then I joined Rias' peerage, with Endorsi in tow, over on their side of the court. Not surprisingly, everyone on Rias' side was pretty much wearing the same outfit. The girls were wearing red bloomers and white shirts, while the boys wore red gym shorts and white shirts. As for Sona's side, it was the same thing but their bloomers and shorts were blue.

As we all stood on our sides of the court, Sona walked up to the middle, causing Rias and I to do the same to show our respect to her. As we walked up the center, Ren stood at the side with a flag in his hands while Nora carefully placed the dodgeballs on the middle line.

"Just so you two know, magic is allowed." Sons informed the two of the two of us before talking once more. "Remember, whoever wins goes to the familiar forest today."

"Understood." I responded as Rias gave a light nod, after that explanation, we slowly walked backwards to join the rest of our teams.

"Now...begin!" Ren waved the flag downwards, causing the game to officially begin.

The game started off with Kiba, Akeno, Endorsi running towards the balls while Tomoe (the red haired bishop), Saji, and Tsubasa (Blue haired girl) did the same in their side. Everyone managed to grab a ball and everyone immediately began throwing the dodgeballs at the other side. Tomoe threw a ball at Kiba, Kiba threw a ball at Tomoe, Saji threw a ball at Issei, Endorsi threw a ball at Sona, Akeno threw a ball at Saji, and Tsubasa threw a ball at Endorsi.

I tried using [Water Bending] to help out, but I can't find any water to control, so I had to rely on whatever I had on me, which was my [Ring of Lucii] and [Ring of Power]. I caught the ball head that was heading to Endorsi by using [Elven Sprint] to speed myself up. The two knights who threw the balls quickly dodged every ball that was thrown at them, hardly breaking a sweat in the process. Saji also managed to dodge the ball headed at him, but Issei wasn't as lucky...

"Gah!" Issei then proceeded to grab his crotch in pain, as a ball landed between his legs.

"Time out!" Ren shouted as Asia rushed over to Issei to heal him, while every guy in the room just cringed.

"F." Was all I said, out of respect for my fallen brother. "You will always be remembered as a perverted...okay just a pervert."

"I'm not dead yet you maniac!" Issei shouted in annoyance.

"But your bloodline is." I bluntly reminded the guy, while Issei requested Asia to get a water bottle for him. "Also, is he out or...?"

"He's out, since the ball hit him." Ren answered with his hands behind his back as Asia and Issei walked off the court. "Now, begin once more."

The cycle continued as I kept on using [Holy] to dodge incoming balls sent to me by Saji, who apparently hates my guts for intimidating Sona. Endorsi in the other hand just dodged a ball sent to her by Momo (white haired bishop). Rias had a ball in her hands as the ball in question started to become covered in a crimson aura, signifying that it was being charged with magic.

Reya tried throwing a ball at Rias, but it was caught by Koneko. Then I noticed something by Issei, an untouched opened water bottle. Once he noticed my eyes eyeing the water bottle, he smirked and nodded his head. Maybe he's better for more than just peeking at girls.

I took this as permission and began using [Water Bending] on the water in the bottle and forcing it out of its container. I then used this water to catch the ball that was thrown at me by Saji, followed by me grabbing the ball from the water and coating my arm in the water. Not surprisingly, I drew my arm back and hit Saji head on in the crotch, like he did to Issei. Forcing the blonde guy in his knees.

This time, Ren didn't stop the game, most likely seeing it as payback for earlier as Saji weakly went over to the side. Kiba dodged a ball from Reya (brown haired bishop), before leaping back to grab the ball and throw it back. Koneko caught a ball from Tsubasa and tried sending it back, only for it to be caught once more.

With my newfound water, I came up with a devious trick to play on the enemy team. I coated the closest dodgeball to me in the water from the bottle before picking it up and drawing it back. I threw the ball at Tsubaki, who was at the back at the time. The ball rotated rapidly as it flew past the enemy team, sending droplets of water all around their side of the court. Sadly, my ball was dodged by Tsubaki, but now it had no water on it and all of the water was scattered around their side of the court, perfect for my little scheme.

Ruruko was the first victim of my devious plan, slipping on a rather large puddle on the floor as she ran forward with a ball in her hand. As she fell, Endorsi drew her hand back and threw the ball at the pawn, striking her shoulder. Tomoe was next, landing in a puddle of water as she dodged a ball coming at her from Rias. Koneko took this opportunity to launch a ball at Tomoe's stomach.

As she ran forward to throw a ball at me, Tsubasa's eyes realized what I did as I smirked at her, indicating it was too late. Tsubasa then tried stepping back, but the momentum and sudden change of direction made her easy picking for the puddle beneath her foot, and a sitting duck for the ball I just threw at her leg.

Following their comrades, Momo and Reya were the next victims of my trap, albeit not in the way I was hoping for. They were so focused on not tripping on the puddles scattered around the court, that they didn't even notice the balls that were thrown at them by Akeno and Kiba. After Momo got in in the thigh andReya hit in the forearm, the two bishops were out, leaving the King and Queen.

Tsubaki was a lot more agile and intelligent than her allies, since she specifically avoided the spots with water on them. Tsubaki tried throwing a dodgeball at me as she kept into the air, but I limboed my back while my hands were in my pockets. Once the ball passed over me, I quickly stood back up and swept my foot on the ground. Tsubaki didn't realize this, but I moved the water directly under the spot I predicted she would land. Once her foot touched the ground she fell without missing a beat as Koneko threw a ball at her chest.

That just left Sona, I knew she wouldn't fall for my trick, even if she was the first to experience it. She's just way too smart, so I decided the best tactic was to overwhelm her with numbers. So I decided to wait until Endorsi grabbed a ball before throwing it full force at Sona.

Sona quickly dodged the ball that was thrown at her by sliding to the left, followed by Endorsi throwing her own ball at the Sitri. Of course, Sona moved exactly in the direction and style I predicted she would. Sona slid right to avoid Endorsi' ball, allowing the ball I threw earlier to bounce off the wall behind her and hit her back. Sona was obviously caught off guard by this, while I just winked and gave a light smirk.

"That's checkmate!" I switched into my normal clothes using [Inventory] after saying this, causing everyone on the bleachers to cheer.

"Thanks (Y/N)." Rias walked up to me, a seductive stare in her eyes. "How about I thank you later~"

"Well, since you're indebted to me." I crossed my arms and huffed loudly. "What do you have in mind?"

"I know seducing you is kind of time at this point, so I came up with a different solution." Rias started, catching my attention because I might get an actual reward. "I'll allow you and nine of your peerage members to come with us to get their familiars."

"That's actually a good idea." I comment before turning to the bleachers with my peerage members on it. "Hey, any of you guys wanna get your familiars?"

"I'm down." John answered with his hand on his chin, raised eyebrow and all.

"Same here, I wonder what I'll get." Seraphina answered with her acquaintance.

"Bam and I will go with you, right sweetie?" Endorsi turned her attention to Bam, who sighed and gave a thumbs up.

"I'd like to go as well." Shiyeon walked up to me, expression not really changing all that much. "I'm curious as to how you got your familiar."

"I'd like to go!" Dark raised his hand as he leapt off the bleachers and in front of me.  "Familiars are a must for warlocks like me."

"Me and my sisters here would like to go as well." Raynare flew over to us with the rest of the fallen angels, only now Raynare was wearing a pink shirt and jeans.

"Alright, so that's everyone." I then turned my full attention to Rias, who looked like she was snapped out of her train of thought. "Meet you guys at the clubhouse?"

"Yep, see you there~" Rias and herpeerage then walked out of the gym and over to the clubroom, leaving me and my peerage in the gymnasium.

"So quick question." I turned my attention to some guy who sat in the bleachers with a computer in his hands. "How big is this place?!"

"I would answer that, but we've run out of time." The author closed the laptop and ran outside. "That's all folks!"

(A/N: Thanks again for reading this chapter, and if you want to, feel free to comment what familiar best suits John, Seraphina, Endorsi, Bam, Shiyeon, Dark, Raynare, Mittlet, or Kalawarmer in the comment section. That will be all and have a magnificent day!
