Chapter 17-SMITE

(Your POV)
After we all made it back home, team RWBY started doting for Yoshino right off the bat. When Weiss saw me, she immediately started panicking and pointing at my clothes, which were now full of holes. Of course, my parents chose that very day to pay me a visit. So I decided to take them with me to the lounge room with Yoshino. At the same time, my peerage started making bets on who would become Yoshino's adoptive mother. It was funny at first but now they've started making it painfully obvious that they're betting.

"I'm betting on ten gold coins he chooses Rias!" Ethan challenged everyone in the kitchen.

"No way, he's gonna choose Akeno." Joe dismissed Ethan's idea for his own. "Have you seen how red he gets when Akeno teases him?"

"I personally bet ten dollars on Koneko." John laughed to himself. "Both of them have a massive sweet tooth."

"Asia's not a bad option, super religious girl ends up with a demigod?" Dawei asked, before talking again. "Then again, Asia's a devout Christian or something and (Y/N)'s parents are from that Dragon Religion."

"I think it's a possibility," Mira reassured Dawei before throwing her own idea in there. "However, I think he'll end up Cecilia, judging from the way she reacted after their fight."

"I don't know guys, Blake and him are pretty similar." Khun added, most likely smirking.

"I'm personally thinking more of Weiss and (Y/N), you know, the princess and the knight trope." Endorsi offered her own opinion in the mix.

"So we're just gonna pretend I don't exist?" Sujin asked the group, not really amused with them.

"I mean, Nami seems like a good option, right?" Dark wondered out loud, then Sora responded.

"I bet two gold pieces on myself!" Sora said with her mouth full, confusing me in the process.

"I'd hope it's Houki, she'd make a good mother." Ilpyo added his opinion to the mix. "I'll bet 10,000 won on her."

"Ten dollars on myself, cause why not?" Sera bet on herself, just like Sora.

"Hungry Turtle better win!" Rak shouted, supposedly talking about Tohka. "I bet 15,000 won on her!"

"I'm betting 5,000 won on Shiyeon, since she asked me for a picture of (Y/N)." Jihan snickered, before I heard someone hit another person. "OW!"

"I was going to bet on a girl in our class named Ino Yamanaka." Shiyeon mumbled loud enough for us to hear.

"I'm betting quite a bit on Tsuyu Asui, I think the two will get along thanks to their love of swimming." Mori started, then I remembered a green haired girl from my class, maybe that's her.

"Wouldn't it be smart for us to ask him before making bets?" Bam asked, possibly being the most sympathetic person there.

"I'm betting 5,000 won on a group of shinobi girls." Sung announced, shocking me, but then I remember 5,000 won is five dollars in US money. "Their names were Asuka, Ikaruga, Katsuragi, Yagyu, and Hibari."

"I'm betting 2,000 yen on myself." Raynare challenged, in the kitchen with the rest of them.

"Same here." Kalawarner copied Raynare.

"Me three!" Mittlet announced cheerfully.

As they argued, I was awkwardly sitting in the room with my parents, Yoshino, their gold Generals, and Tanjiro. As the nine of us heard the conversation going on in the kitchen, we all sat around the living room, hoping to tune it out. I sat in a chair, while my parents sat on the couch with their Generals standing behind them. Zeno was playing a game of candy land with Yoshino on the table, while Yoshino sat on the floor between the couch and table. Tanjiro kneeled on the other side of the table, playing Candy Land with the two.

"So not only did you ruin your clothes, but you almost died just to calm Yoshino down?!" Saorise scolded, and her wrath accidentally caused a downpour to encase the area. "Why didn't you just have Sujin seal off her powers right then and there, at least then you wouldn't have almost died!"

"Well I wasn't even aware of me getting impaled with the icicles!" I retaliated, as I examined my patched up injuries. "I was too focused on making sure my water dragon stayed with me when I switched weapons."

"You already mastered water breathing?" My mother asked, surprised before turning her attention to Tanjiro. "Good job teaching Tanjiro."

"Thank you Lady Saoirse." Tanjiro slightly bowed his head before moving his blue gingerbread man two spaces forward.

"You know (Y/N), I know I said I wanted a grandkid, but I think you should have waited until you're financially stable enough." Zeno advised as he patted Yoshino's head, like a rabbit. "I mean, you're living in your grandfather's old house for Oryuu's sake."

"And you guys are living in his current one." I reminded the blonde, who then gave me a deflated look.

"Darling, he inherited your sarcasm." Zeno whined as he leaned his head against Saorise's shoulder. "I don't think I can handle two of you."

"Get it together, boss." One of Zeno's Generals, Free, requested the man. "He also inherited your selflessness."

"On a side note..." Esdeath then embraced me in a tight hug, while I was still sitting and she was standing, then she seductively whispered into my ear. "I missed you, Young Prince~"

"Add her to the list guys!" I heard Joe shout to his companions, making the rest of us uncomfortable.

"Zeno, Darling." Saoirse got her husband's attention before handing him a couple of sand dollars. "Tell them I'm betting 500 sand dollars on Yang Xiao Long."

"Sure thing." My Father then planted a kiss on her cheek before standing up, sand dollars in hand, before saluting. "Also, I'm betting on Ruby Rose!"

"Can you guys give your son a break?" Saoirse's other General, Gray, asked my parents, before Zeno ran off into the kitchen and joined the betting pool. "I don't know why I even asked..."

"Lady Saoirse, must I remind you why we're here?" Kars asked Saoirse, who then turned her attention back to me.

"Correct, (Y/N), we're here on two issues."  My mother began, before gesturing to my clothes. "The first issue at hand is your combat outfit, it's out of date for your abilities and skills. So I called up a friend of mine, Arachne, to make you a new combat uniform."

"Arachne, the first spider?" I asked, shocked and extremely confused by the fact she knows her. "How on Earth do you know Arachne?"

"Simple, Ryujin took pity on her and turned her back." My mother explained, while Kars and Free went over to the kitchen to most likely place their own bets.  "To be honest, I personally think the Greek Gods are morally incompetent people, and what Athena just showed how even the wisest of the gods can be a bi-I mean a horrible person."

"So long story short, we tend to help the various people they've cursed for crappy reasons." Gray explained before Esdeath handed me a briefcase, which I grabbed and put on the coffee table.

I then opened the briefcase to see three items, a haori which depicted the tenacious ocean, a blue jacket which had sprinkles of frost on it, and brown pants that look like they have quite a few stories to tell. I looked up to see,Yoshino was examining the new clothes curiously. I looked at Tanjiro to see a grin on his face, one that displayed how proud he was of these new clothes.

"I present to you your new combat outfit, all of which was woven by Arachne herself." Saoirse bragged, with a small grin on her face. "Tanjiro demanded the haori is a necessity, saying something about 'keeping the tradition alive'."

"Regardless of style, I must thank you for your generosity." I then bowed to my sensei and mother, which hurt my ribs because I was still sitting, after raising myself up, I used [Observe] on the clothes. "However your actions have striked my curiosity, so why reward me with no clothes that were so well made?"

Haori of the Waves
Rank: S-
Desc: This haori was made by Arachne herself, and is enchanted with the sea's blessing. While wearing this piece of clothing, you have a 50% increased effectiveness of water-related abilities and 100% increase in range.

(His outfit, both the jacket and pants)

Frostfell Jacket
Rank: A+
Desc: This jacket may not seem like much, but grants the user the ability to walk on air by freezing water particles in the air into small platforms and keeping them afloat. However, this will only work

Pants of G-Rating
Rank: A-
Desc: Your clothes can't be damaged in any way, that's not to say you're immune to damage. No, these pants just make sure your clothes don't get destroyed. You'll still take damage, but at least you won't get arrested for nudity unless you decide to take them off.

"That brings me to my next problem..." My mother began, then I realized that Gray was shirtless, and probably without pants, but I can't see his lower half thanks to the couch. "...Gray, your clothes."

"CRAP!" The ice mage shouted, and I covered Yoshino's ears. "Sorry!"

"No, that's not the major issue." Saoirse let out a low chuckle before continuing on with her serious face. "As you may not know, we're getting overrun with too many provers that we can solve. Not only are some idiots coming after six of me and Zeno's pieces, but the organization that came after you is starting to make a move again, not to mention those groups that were after your pieces."

"What about those groups?" I asked, remembering the fact that almost everyone in my peerage has a group of people that wants their head.

"Well when you accepted those pieces into your peerage, you also brought their problems on board with you." Esdeath informed me, as Zeno and his Generals arrived back into the living room. "So that means those groups are gonna be after you too."

"So that leaves the question; 'Will you make your peerage confront their own demons, or confront their demons for them?" Kars asked, as he leaned a hand on the couch.

"Neither." I answered bluntly, confusing Yoshino and surprising everyone else in the room. "I will not allow my pieces to confront those opponents on their own, instead, I shall fight alongside them. If they ask for my sword, I will gladly lend my entire armory. All I ask is that they do the same for me."

"Hahaha!" Free laughed loudly after hearing my statement, while everyone else stared at me in awe. "Kars, he just beat you at your own game!"

"So he did, so he did." Kars admitted defeat to someone thousands of years younger than he is, making me feel bad for the vampire.

"With that in mind," Zeno began as he took a seat next to his wife. "We should talk about your position, or 'class' as you put it. When talking about your class, you should take into consideration your strengths and weaknesses. So tell me, how much progress have you made since coming here."

" effectively became a hydrokinetic Erza Scarlet." I bluntly said, catching almost everyone off guard, except for Yoshino, who was tugging at Zeno's sleeve because it was his turn. "I am currently trying to become a hydrokinetic Gilgamesh/Hallyang Seo combo."

"That's a pretty bold statement though, how many weapons do you have?" Gray asked, then I remembered that he actually knew Erza, so I showed him my [Inventory].

"Would you like to see a demonstration of my fighting style?" I asked the wizard, who stared at my inventory in shock. "Please keep in mind all my weapons are magic or special in one way or another.

"Well it's official, your son's ready to become the next Erza." Gray's voice cracked a bit as he looked at me in slight fear, possibly imagining me with red hair.

"Well that's promising, and I think I might have the perfect class in mind for you." Saoirse then proceeded to hold her hand out, while a fish that seemingly appeared out of nowhere floated over to her hand and threw up a scroll. "It's a class that revolves around fluid movements and large inventories. It's nigh-impossible to master, but I have a feeling you can master it."

"I humbly accept the challenge." My mother then tossed me the scroll, which I caught in one hand, after which I put the scroll and the clothes in my [Inventory]. "Also, is no one going to point out the fact our golden generals have almost the same powers as us? Think about it, I have video game physics and so do both my Generals, Zeno has immortality and so do his Generals, and Saoirse controls water/ice with her Generals."

"Well holy shit you're right..." Free looked up and scratched behind his ear.

"LANGUAGE!!" We all shouted at the immortal werewolf, while Zeno and Tanjiro covered Yoshino's ears.

(Timeskip brought to you by (Y/N) questioning why Rias, Akeno, Koneko, and Asia's shared room had a pole in the middle of it, then realizes he can't break the fourth wall anymore)

It was now the end of the month, so all of our teams were in the forever fall forest. Each of us was holding an empty mason jar to store sap in, which was our entire mission, to collect sap from a forest. Which is odd in my opinion, since I literally just fought a giant rabbit yesterday and now here I am collecting sap. Oh well, at least the new outfit is nice though.

As Meliodas was away on a mission, Glynda Goodwitch was leading this little expedition. As we walked through the forest, Rias, Ichigo, Sujin, and Jihan kept on eyeing my new outfit. With the only thing I kept being the [Long Fall Boots].

"So despite the new look, you kept the heels?" Ichigo asked, trying not to trip on the baggy clothes he was wearing that was his soul reaper uniform.

"Cause they make me forever immune to fall damage, AND makes me look fabulous as FUCK!" I bragged, showing off my [Long Fall Boots] like the model I was. "Guess it's my turn to ask a question now, Rias, what's with the pole in your room?"

"Oh that?" Rias asked, somewhat embarrassed and turning red from my question. "Well I-hm-Um-Hey look, a grimm!"

"Rias, answer the question." Sujin ordered the devil, causing her to shudder.

"Fine, me and Akeno were trying to impress (Y/N), happy now?" Rias admits, turning red, both out of anger and embarrassment. "I'm not sure about Koneko and Asia, but I think Koneko doesn't care about it and Asia hates it."

"Girl, you should know by now it's not that hard to impress me." I responded to the reasoning with a deadpan stare. "In fact, it's not that hard to get any guy you want into you. All you need to do is either give them a compliment, hug, or just being there for that person would get that person into you in under five seconds."

"How do you know this?" Rias asked me, as if the answer wasn't already obvious.

"Well I'm a guy, I know how we work." I answered bluntly, while Jihan and Ichigo let out a stifled laugh. "Plus, a friend of mine did a psychology test on his entire school and those were the results of literally every male student he tested."

"Well that says a lot about the world around us." Jihan sighed before his eyes widened in realization, then he quickly swiveled his head to face me directly. "(Y/N), who's watching Yoshino right now?!"

"Oh, Esdeath decided to live at the house with us for som reason, and Ryujin decided to send one of his retired pieces over here to give us a hand, I think her name was Lorem..." I tried recalling her name, but Glynda then started talking.

"Alright students, the Forest of Forever Fall may be beautiful, but we're not here to sight see." Glynda announced to the classroom, turning her back for s minute to check we were all here. "Your task is to gather sap from the trees deeper into the forest for Professor Peach. Since you're in the wild, you'll encounter creatures of grimm, obviously. We will rendezvous back at this spot at 3. Spread out!"

"Kind of strange we've never seen Professor Peach yet we're doing her dirty work." I whined to my teammates, who rolled their eyes at my childishness.

After saying that, me and my teammates decided to follow team RWBY. The rest of my peerage were pretty scattered around the area, but still close enough to respond should an emergency occur. Team RWBY was also accompanied by most of team JNPR, with the only exception being their leader, Jaune. As we walked through the forest, I noticed a lack of Grimm activity in the area.

Once the twelve of us reached a good spot, I summoned [LVL 3 Sentry] and plopped it down in the middle of the clearing. I then decided to walk over to the nearest tree and begin getting the tree juices I need to pass the class. While crouched to put the tapper in the tree, I noticed Rias was standing close behind me. It didn't take a genius to figure out why...

"(Y/N)." Rias chirped innocently, pretending as if I didn't already know her plan.

"That's my name." I responded with a horrible joke, cause why not? "Need something?"

"Well, yes." Rias walked around me, carefully choosing her actions to make sure the most of her thighs were showing by the looks of it. "I need you to fill my mason jar with sap."

"So...do you want me to take that literally or figuratively?" I asked, genuinely not knowing what definition she meant, because that sentence could have many definitions.

"Right now, I mean literally." Rias confirmed before wrapping her arms around me and whispering into my ear.  "However, you can always fill my mason jar with your sa-OW!"

I cut her off by flicking her forehead lightly, kind of getting tired of these antics from the Devils. Well, mainly Rias and Akeno. Koneko was cool in my book and Asia was still 100% a church girl, despite it being considered self-harm to devils. Despite this, I turned my head to face Rias, who was holding her forehead while puffing her cheek and pouting adorably.

"Rias, I'm not doing your work for you." I finished before placing my own mason jar below the tapper.

"Please~" Rias pushed, then I suddenly felt something soft on either side of my head. "I'll let you play with my little goodie bags here."

"You know I've always wondered, how often do you go to the back doctor because of those things?" I jokingly asked the girl before I felt the soft objects leave my shoulders. "Thank you, and you don't have to answer my question, I was just trying to ge-"

Now it was my turn to cut off, by thighs of all things. Rias was now squeezing my neck with her thighs while sitting on my shoulders, which would bother me if she wasn't so light. I suppose Rias was trying to be 'threatening' or 'scary' to get her way, but something tells me she forgot I also have gills that somehow work above water. So I always have two ways of breathing, and Rias' attempt at a threat was pointless.

"I wasn't asking." Rias informed me in a threatening voice, while I just stared upward to keep eye contact. "Why aren't you turning blue?"

"What is with you today?." I ask, trying to remove the devil from my shoulders before giving her a joking reply. "You're forgetting the fact that thick thighs save lives. Plus I have two ways of breathing, gills and lungs."

"I thought gills only worked underwater?" Rias tilted her head a bit, still sitting on me as she did so.

"Since when has anything made sense in our lives?" I asked the princess, who smiled softly. "Now can you please get off me, it's hard to focus."

After a moment's hesitation, Rias finally got off of me and I breathed a sigh of relief. However I could tell Rias wasn't happy with this, and I can understand why. In truth, I would have turned out like Rias if I hadn't stayed with Tai, Summer, Ruby, and Yang during the school year. That family taught me the value of hard work and basic life skills that I never would have learned in the Palace of Ryujin. However, Rias never had that, she was raised in hell, in a...castle or something? I don't know, I've never been to hell.

"Rias, want me to help you?" I offered my help to the princess, who looked at me in awe. "I won't do it for you, but I'll show you how to do it."

Rias accepted my offer and I showed her the basics of how tappers work, how to get the most amount of sap, and even helping her get the angle correct. After helping her, I picked up my full jar of sap and put it in my [Inventory] for safekeeping. I looked around to see Sujin was already a pro at this, Jihan was getting the basics down, and Ichigo was already done. That's when I noticed that Pyrrha was looking kind of down.

So I decided to walk over to her, after telling my teammates of course. They all understood that Pyrrha isn't going to be part of the list because of her obvious crush on Jaune. She and I were actually considered one of the 'Big Three' of our class, with the third person being Jotaro Kujo. As I walked up to Pyrrha, I noticed that she was dozing off and looking into the tree lines.

"Hello!" I greeted, perfectly replicating Pyrrha's voice in the process, causing her to jump back a bit. "Sorry about that, I meant to ask if something's on your mind."

"O-Oh, hey (Y/N)." Pyrrha exhaled a breath of relief, seeing it was just me. "I appreciate your concern, but there's nothing to worry about, I'm fine."

"Maybe I should reword my question." I admit while placing a hand on my forehead in annoyance with my own stupidity. "What I mean to ask is; 'What's on your mind?' Hate to break it to you, but you're pretty bad at hiding your emotions."

"Hmph, nothing gets by you." Pyrrha smirked as she realized that it was pointless hiding her emotions from me. "In truth, I'm worried for Jaune."

"Jaune?" I asked, surprised that she's worried about her polar opposite, that's when it hit me. "You like him don't you?"

"W-What?!" Pyrrha turns even more crimson than her hair in this instance, almost blowing steam from her ears. "T-That's ridiculous. Me? Fall in love? That's crazy!"

"Well that was so obvious it physically hurt." I commented, before hearing the sound of shattering glass and yelling. "What the hell was that?"

Both me and Pyrrha turned our attention to a cliff, where the two of us heard some familiar voices. One was meek but building up courage, and the other was jerky and muscular. That's when I realized those voices belonged to Jaune and Cardin, so I turned my attention to my Sentry. I then ran up to the machine and put it back in my [Inventory], then I summoned my [Spear of Leonidas].

"Rias, Jihan, Ichigo, Sujin!" I called out to my teammates, getting their attention as they finished up filling their mason jars. "I'm headed to that cliff up there, so meet me up there!"

I then threw my [Spear of Leonidas] into a tree that was overlooking the cliff, after the blade lodged itself in the bark, I summoned [Hitman's Heatmaker] before warping over to the spear and crouching down on a branch. I then dislodged the broken spear and dismissed it back into my inventory, which I followed up by taking aim with through the scope.

I looked through the scope to see that Cardin was standing above a beaten up Jaune, while the jackass had some sort of sap on his chest plate. Pissed by the mistreatment of my friend, I took aim at one of his companions, Sky Lark was his name I think. I then fired a round into is head, as to not kill him, his aura managed to make sure the shot wasn't fatal, but it still knocked the guy out.

"Who's there?!" Cardin shouted, as his two companions got into their battle stances with him.

"Rather bold of you to assume I'll tell a dishonorable warrior such as yourself my name." I taunted, noticing that there was an Alpha Ursa charging in the forest behind Cardin. "Disrespect aside, you might want to get your Fallen ally out of here, don't want him to die now do I?"

Cardin and his conscious teammates then turned their attention to the looming shadow that stood before them, which revealed the same Alpha Ursa I saw earlier. While the three stooges were paralyzes with fear, I switched out [Hitman's Heatmaker] for my [Medic Gun]. I then dropped from the branch and rushed to Jaune's side, using my healing beam on him in the process.

Jaune noticed me healing him and gave me a thumbs up, which I returned. Jaune then proceeded to stand up and prepared his sword and shield, the best weapon in monster hunter. I then dismissed my [Medic Gun] and turned my attention to Cardin. Who was pathetically crawling away from the Ursa, he tried using his mace to block it's claw, but the Ursa merely tossed the Mace aside and to Jaune's feet.

"So Jaune, which path are you gonna choose?" I ask the young hunter, ready to give him the same advice I've received. "The path of the warrior, or the path of the snake?"

"Do you really need to ask?" Jaune sarcastically replied, which I gave a slight grin in response. "Go get the others, team CRDL might need medical attention."

"Sure thing." I lied, before summoning [Sword of the Creator] and using that to warp to a different branch.

Jaune then bashed his shield into the Ursa, forcing it off of Cardin. The Ursa then clawed at Jaune, but it's attempts were blocked by Jaune's shield. Jaune then slid this strike off his shield in s fluent motion before slashing at the beast's chest and leaping back. The Ursa tried punching at Jaune, but the knight rolled out of the way and jumped out of the way of the follow up attack by the giant bear.

I thought he was doing well, until Jaune decided to charge head on at the grimm and got punched into the forest. Jaune's one determined guy though, cause he quickly stood back up and charged again at the grimm. Clearly not learning his lesson from the first time, and this mistake gave the Ursa the opportunity to knock Jaune back into the forest behind the grimm.

When Jaune stood back up, he looked at something behind his shield, supposedly his phone. He then charged once more at the grim, and I drew [Sword of the Creator] back in case I needed to get involved, yet I noticed something peculiar about Jaune's weapons. Both the sword and shield were suddenly encased in a black aura and adjusted themselves slightly to better take care of the grimm. Once the grimm's paw made contact with Jaune's shield, he swung his sword at the beast's neck, killing it instantly.

I was proud of Jaune, finally managing to kill a big shot grim like that.  That's when I heard a group of familiar voices to my left, looking over, it was none other than Ruby, Pyrrha, and Weiss. That's when it hit me, that black coating must've been someone's semblance. I already know Ruby's semblance is speed, Weiss' is the hereditary glyph, CRDL was too busy crapping themselves to do anything, and Jaune's too weak to find his semblance. Which leaves only one option...Pyrrha Nikos.

Yup, I ship it.

(A/N: Thanks for reading this chapter and I have a little announcement to make. Two new books are coming out! The [Dragon]'s and [Emperor]'s! The [Dragon] is an isekai/crossover story, containing Konosuba, Shield Hero,  Arifrueta, and even some Fairy Tail since it's around the same time. As for the [Emperor], I had trouble recreating Apocalyptic since I suck at anything that doesn't involve magic, so I combined my old book with Highschool of the Dead. In the meantime, later!
