Hello😀

Vaanga vaanga story kulla polaa🐎💜🦋

Not proof read ‼️

✷●

Adhyaayam padhinaaru

Pazhi kootru

(False accusation)

✷●

Anushman literally fell at Oorvashi's feet, grateful for her indirect help in dealing with his innocent wife.

Oorvashi smiled and blessed him.

He smiled in relief and knelt on the floor before her.

Seervizhi, standing behind Anushman, witnessed the scene.

"Seervizhi"

"Paati"

(Grandma)

"Ingu vaa"

(Come to me)

Seervizhi moved towards Oorvashi and knelt down in front of her.

Oorvashi cupped Seervizhi's face with her hands.

"Vaal vithaiyai azhagaaga katru kondullaai"

(You have beautiful art of swordsmanship)

Seervizhi smiled at her.

"Nandri paati"

(Thanks, Grandma)

"Umakku engal valakkangal patri theriyaamal irukkalaam. Aanaal Yezhisai sonnadhu pola nee ingu yevvaaru anaivaridamum nadandhu kolgiraai enbadhu dhaan mudhal valakkam aagum"

(You may not know much about our traditions, but just as Yezhisai said, the way you conduct yourself with everyone here is the first tradition)

She explained and Seervizhi gulped replying,

"Nadandhu kolgiren paati"

(I will follow that, grandma)

Oorvashi patted her cheek and straightened up.

"Adhu mattum alla. Nee dhaan indha naatin adutha arasi aaga mudisooda pogiraai. Adhanaal ini nee poruppudan nadandhu kolla vendum purindhadhaa?"

(Not only that. You are going to be crowned the next queen of this land. Therefore, you must now conduct yourself with responsibility. Do you understand?)

"Purindhadhu paati"

(Yes, grandma)

Anushman silently admired her, being beside her.

"Bayapadaadhey. Nee oru kuzhandhai enbadhai naan ariven. Adhu pola nee bayangara budhisaali aana pen enbadhaiyum naan ariven"

(Don't be afraid. I know you are just a child. At the same time, I also know that you are an incredibly intelligent girl.)

Oorvashi said to comfort her.

"Andha budhisaali thanathinai orupodhum vittu vidaadhae. Anushman'iruku kooda unnai pondra oru budhthi illai endru thaan kooruven naan"

(And never let go of that intelligence. I tell you this because I know Anushman does not possess the same level of intellect as you.)

"Paati"

(Grandma)

Anushman whined at her. Seervizhi smiled.

"Appadi ellaam illai paati. Avar ennai vida migavum budhisaali aavaar"

(That's not true, Grandma. He is much more intelligent than I am.)

Seervizhi supported her husband. Anushman smiled, seeing her.

"Seri dhaan. Tharpodhu naan ingu unnai vara vaithadharku kaaranam. Anushman'in ilaya sagodharargalai patri koora dhaan"

(Leave that. The reason I brought you here is to speak about Anushman's younger siblings.)

Both thinned their brows and stared at her, confused.

"Abhinjalan, irubadhu vayadhu aagiradhu avanukku. Avanadhu peyar kaaraname 'neer' aagum. Enadhu matra perangal anaivarin gunathaiyum ulladikkiya thanmai kondavan Avan. Evvalavu nalla yennangalai sumandhirukiraano, adhupola adhey alavu theeya yennangalaiyum sumandhiruppavan. Avanai sutri iruppavargal dhaan avanai avvaaru matri irukkindranar"

(Abhinjalan is twenty years old. The meaning of his name is 'neer' (water). He is someone who embodies the behaviours of my other grandsons. However many good qualities he holds in his heart, he also harbors that many flaws. Those who stay around him are the ones who changed him like this)

Her voice lowered as she became fearful for Abhinjalan's life.

"Paati idhellaam.."

(Grandma, this..)

But Oorvashi stopped her again,

"Poru Seervizhi, naan pesi mudithu vidugiren. Pin, Avanindhan'iruku viraivil oru thirumanam nadatha vendum"

(Wait, Seervizhi. First, I will finish speaking. A marriage must be arranged for Avanindhan by us.)

Seervizhi just blinked at her, unsure of what to do to arrange Avanindhan's marriage.

"Aanaal paati, avan vivaagathirkellaam ippodhu thayaaraaga illai ena koorinaane"

(But Grandma, he said, he is not ready for marriage for now.)

Anushman replied to her. Seervizhi stared at him.

"Avan thayaaraaga irundhaalum ippodhu panna mudiyaadha soolnilaiku naam thalla pattirukirom Anushman"

(Even if he is ready, we are currently dealing with a situation where we can't proceed with the marriage right now, Anushman)

Her worried tone broke Seervizhi's trance, and she looked at her with a frown.

"Enna soolnilai paati?"

(Situation?)

Anushman asked her.

"Namadhu naatin mootha nakshathira kanidhi, Aachaariyar. Avargalai paarthu vittu dhaan ingu varugai purindhen. Avargal ungal aivarin varungaala yechangalai patri koorinaar"

(He's our country's great Astrologer, Aachaariyar. I arrived here only after seeing him. And he said about your five's future and the changes that are coming into your lives)

She explained but her face slowly lost it's colour.

Anushman grabbed her palms inside his. Seervizhi looked at his hold, him and Grandma.

"Enna aanadhu paati?"

(What happened, grandma?)

He asked.

"Indha aranmanai'il adutha thalaimurai'in oru sisu pirandhaal mattume arasar oruvar mani magudam sooda neridum ena koorinaar. Adhu varai indha naatu makkal arasar illaamal dhaan vaazhvaargal enavum koorinaar"

(In this palace, it is said that only when a child of the next generation is born will a king wear the crown. Until then, the people of this land will live without a king.)

Anushman stiffened slightly while Seervizhi furrowed her brow as she looked at her.

"Adhey pola Yendha oru nalla kaariyam nadakka vendum aanaalum adhu andha sisu'vin pirappil irundhu dhaan thuvangum ena koorinaar"

(Similarly, it is said that any good deed will begin with the birth of that child.)

Anushman's heart raced as he tried to pull his hands away, but Oorvashi held onto them firmly.

"Paati tharpodhu naangal.."

(Grandma, but now we are..)

He tried to reason something but Oorvashi stopped him.

"Purigiradhu Anushman. Seervizhi.."

(I can understand Anushman. Seervizhi..)

She turned towards Seervizhi.

Anushman gulped as he thought about what she was going to say to Seervizhi.

"Paati"

(Grandma)

"Unakku Anushman'ai pudikumaa?"

(Do you like Anushman?)

Seervizhi blushed and nodded her head yes.

And just like that, Anushman realized that his wife hadn't understood anything of what Oorvashi had said a moment ago.

"Piragu enna thayakkam unakku?"

(Then what's stopping you?)

Oorvashi asked her.

"Paati. Avalukku adhellaam.."

(Grandma, she doesn't know..)

But his grandma, ignored him completely making him groan inwardly.

"Ingu paar Seervizhi, un kaiyil dhaan en magan, matrum indha naatin magizhchiyum adangi irukkiradhu. Adhanai maenpadutha nee dhaan engalukku dhaanam alikka vendum amma"

(Look here, Seervizhi. In your hands lies my son and the happiness of this land. To maintain that, you must donate some for us, dear)

Oorvashi grabbed her hands in a pleading manner. Seervizhi widened her eyes at her words.

Because, according to her, or in general, donating something is like begging someone for money or things for their lives. So, Seervizhi got shocked at her words.

"Paati. Enna pesugireergal thaangal?"

(Grandma, what are you saying?)

Anushman mentally slapped his forehead, realizing where the situation was heading.

"Avanindhan'in thirumanam mudindhaal dhaan Abhinjalan'ai paarka mudiyum. Avan vaeru pokkirku selvaan endru Aachariyar koorinaar. Aanaal Avan nallullam kondavan dhaan. Avanai naam paarthu kollalaam. Aanaal, adharkul pin? Anilamudhan matrum Adhivishman'ai ninaithu paar? Vizhi atravan. Avan enna seivaan? Idhanai ellaam ninaithu paarthu dhaan unnidam ketkiren. Anni enbaval innoru Amma pondraval ena kooruvar. Un pillaigalukkaaga idhai seiya maataayaa?"

(Only after Avanindhan's marriage can we see Abhinjalan. The Aachaariyar said that he will be the one to who follow the wrong path in the future. But he is a good person. We can look after him. However, what about Anilamudhan and Adhivishman? Think about them. What will happen to them? Considering all this, I am asking you. They will say that the elder sister-in-law is like another mother. Will you not act for your children?)

Seervizhi still frowned, not understanding her words.

"Paati"

"Naan enadhu 15'aam agavaiyiliyae thirumanam seidhu konden Seervizhi. Padhinaaraam agavaiyil dhaan enadhu Magan boodhan enakku pirandhaan. Naan nandraaga dhaan ippodhu irukkiren. Enadhu vaazhvil enna nadandhaalum enadhu pillaigalai paartha piragu enadhu vali ellaam marandhu vidum. Adhu pola dhaan anaivarukkum. Adhupola dhaan unakkum. Indha paati ku neeyum unadhu thunaivanum saerndhu oru sisu'vai nalguveergalaa?"

(I got married when I was just 15, Seervizhi. At 16, my son was born to me. I am fine now. No matter what happens in my life, after seeing my children, all my troubles are forgotten. It is the same for everyone. It will be the same for you too. Will you both ensure that the next generation will be born?)

Anushman gulped and glanced at Seervizhi.

"Paati aanaala enakku.."

(Grandma, but, I...)

"Veraedhum ennidam nee koora vendaam. Koduppeergal endru mattum vaakuridhi aliyungal. Adutha irandu maadhathirkul enakku oru nalla seidhu'yinai valanguveergalaa? Paati kaaga?"

(Do not say anything more to me. Just promise that you will give me this. Will you be able to make something good happen within the next two months? For the grandmother's sake?)

She extended her hand towards Seervizhi, signaling for a promise.

Anushman shook his head and opened his mouth to deny,

"Paati Seervizhi'ku.."

But he stopped with widened eyes when Seervizhi placed her palm on his grandmother's hand and said,

"Thangalukkaaga naangal petru kodukirom paati"

(For you, we will make it happen, Grandma.)

Oorvashi smiled widely through her tears and looked at Anushman, who was in shock.

"Nee enna solgiraai Anushman?"

(What are you going to say now, Anushman?)

Anushman gulped and stared at his grandmother with a bewildered expression.

"Naan? Paati.. naan.."

(Me? Grandma, I..)

"Ilavarasae. Karathinai vaiyungal. Paati kaaga thaane?"

(Prince, place your hand. It's for our grandma, right?)

Seervizhi glanced at him and then at Oorvashi, who gave her a sweet smile. Anushman smiled nervously at them, but Seervizhi clicked her tongue, grabbed his hand, placed it above theirs, and smiled at their grandmother.

Anushman looked at her in shock while Oorvashi smiled and kissed their foreheads.

They then took their leave to their chamber. However, he excused himself midway, saying he had some important work in the field of one of their people. He told her to go to bed and not wait for him.

She smiled as she watched him retreat and made her way to their chamber to rest, her whole body aching after experiencing such a stressful moment of the sword fight.

Time passed.

Standing in front of Avanindhan's room in the middle of the night, bathed in dim light, Seervizhi fidgeted with her fingers. Summoning her courage, she lifted her hand and knocked on the door of his chamber.

After a few more knocks, the door opened, revealing a sleepy Avanindhan. He squinted his eyes upon seeing her.

"Anni? Thaangalaa?"

(Sister-in-law? you?)

Avanindhan forrowed his brows at her.

"Aam. Adhu.."

(Yes. that...)

She shifted in her place, nervously. Avanindhan looked at her confused.

"Enna aanadhu anni?"

(What happened sister-in-law?)

He asked her.

"Adhu, urangi vitteeraa?"

(That. you slept?)

She asked, gulping.

"Mmm. Aam anni. Thaangal enna seigireergal? Anna engaey?"

(Mmm. Yes sister-in-law. what are you doing? where is my brother?)

Seervizhi looked at him thinning her brows.

"Avar thangaludan illayaa?"

(He is not with you?)

"Ennudan aah? Illaye anni. Anna ingillaye"

(With me? No sister-in-law. Brother is not here)

She sighed and gave him a slight, apologetic smile.

"Ohh. Mannithu vidungal naan thangalai urakithil irundhu eluppi vitten."

(Ohh. Please forgive me. I disturbed you when you were sleeping.)

Avanindhan shook his head with a pleasant smile.

"Anni. Mannipellaam yen ketkireergal? anna'vai thedi vandheeraa?"

(Anni, why are you apologizing? Have you come searching for my elder brother?)

She nodded her head at him, lowering her gaze with a shy smile.

He smiled at her.

"Araiyil avar illayaa anni?"

(He is not in your chamber too?)

He asked her and she lifted her face to reply him,

"Illai. Appodhey veliyae selvadhaaga koori sendraar aanaal innum kaanavillai."

(No. He went outside after informing long ago, but I still haven't seen him.)

She said worriedly.

"Ohh. Engum sendirukka maataar anni, vandhu viduvaar."

(Ohh. Don't worry sister-in-law, he won't go anywhere. He will return soon)

He assured her, but she still wasn't convinced.

"Illai, vegu neram aagi vitadhu.. adhaan..."

(No. It's been long.. so..)

"Anna apppadi'thaan anni, yedhaenum ninaithuvittaal adhanai mudithu vidaamal arasavai thirumba maataar."

(Brother is like that sister-in-law. He will not rest until he has finished everything and returned.")

Avanindhan spoke proudly about his elder brother.

Seervizhi gave him a slight smile, but her eyes were drawn to Sarayu, who was sitting behind him at the table.

"Innerathil nee ingu enna seigiraai?"

(What are you doing here in the middle of the night?)

She took a step forward, but her sari's edge made her slip, and before she could reach Avanindhan, he grabbed her elbows. She stood upright, holding onto his hand. And glanced at him nervously.

"Porumai anni"

(Patience, Anni)

"Mannithu vidung.."

(Forgive me, pr..)

"AVANINDHAA"

The voice of Yezhisai that echoed through the palace made everyone rush to the hall, except for Oorvashi, who had fallen asleep after taking her medicine.

Seervizhi gulped in fear just upon seeing Yezhisai, while Avanindhan stared at his mother, completely clueless.

Yezhisai stormed towards them and grabbed Seervizhi's elbow with a strong grip, causing her to hiss in pain.

"Aththai"

(Aunt)

Yezhisai glared at Seervizhi, dragged her, and pushed her into the center of the vast hall.

Avanindhan hurried after her.

"Amma, enna seigireergal?"

(Mom, what are you doing?)

He asked her hurriedly, trying to prevent her from harming his sister-in-law, but,

"Nee pesaadhey. Ummai naan ivvaaru ninaithu kooda paarka villai Avanindhaa. Ummai solli kutram illai Ipp'padiparivatra, keel thanamaana pennai koora vendum."

(Don't speak. I never even thought of you like this, Avanindhan. Now, it is all about this uneducated, lowly woman.)

She shouted in Seervizhi's face, causing Seervizhi to jerk back and take a step away in fear.

With the guards and everyone else gathered around them, the tension in the room was palpable.

"Chithi, konjam paarthu pesungal. Avar engaladuya anni. En annan'in manaivi"

(Aunt. Just look before you speak. She is our sister-in-law. Wife of our brother)

Anilamudhan spoke out as usual for his sister-in-law, who was crying while clutching her elbow and bowing her head to the floor.

Yezhisai smirked.

"Anni. Pollaadha anni. Anni anni, endru thaangal mattum dhaan koorugireergal aanaal ivalukku andha ennam illai polum. Vaeru oru ennathil dhaan ingu vandhirukiraar ival"

(Anni? just please stop. You are calling her 'sister-in-law,' but she does not have that feeling at all. She is here only because of some other reason.)

She chided Seervizhi, who looked at her through her hiccups, confused about what she was referring to.

"Amma, enna koorugireergal thaangal?"

(Mom, what are you saying?)

Anbazhagi moved towards Seervizhi, but Yezhisai grabbed her arm and pushed her aside.

Abhinjalan then caught her shoulder, helping her stand up straight.

"Enna aanadhu akka?"

(What happened sister?)

Eezhamadhi asked Yezhisai while standing beside her.

"Adhanai indha pennidame kel, Eezhamadhi."

(Ask that woman, Eezhamadhi)

She pointed to Seervizhi.

"Enna seidhaai Seervizhi?"

(What have you done, Seervizhi?)

Eezhamadhi asked Seervizhi who wiped her tears and opened her trembling lips to reply her,

"Naan naan.."

(I.. I..)

But she jolted in her place at Yezhisai's shout,

"Podhum niruthu un neelikanneerai. Aruvaruppaaga illaiyaa umakku ivvaaru seivadharku?"

(Enough, stop your fake tears. Don't you feel any shame for doing like this?)

Her disgusted expression towards Seervizhi made everyone around them feel even more frustrated and angry at the former queen.

"Amma podhum. Yaarum thangalai ketkaamal iruppadhaal, thaangal enna vendum aanaalum pesalaam endru aagi vidaadhu."

(Mother, enough. Just because no one is questioning you, doesn't mean you can say whatever you want)

Avanindhan grew furious at his mother's behavior towards Seervizhi.

Yezhisai walked and stood infront of him.

"Kural uyarthi pesugiraai'aah Avanindhaa? haan?  adhuvum ivalukkaaga?"

(Are you raising your voice, Avanindhan? Huh? And for her?)

She poined at Seervizhi.

"Amma"

(Mom)

She stopped him.

"Enna seidhaal unnai?"

(What have she done to you?)

Avanindhan frowned.

"Appadi enna kaimaaru vendi irukkiradhu umakku avalidam?"

(What remuneration do you want from her, that you're behaving like this?)

Avanindhan's face turned to a look of disgust as he understood what she was implying about him and his sister-in-law.

"Maa, neengal.."

(Mom, you..)

"Indha vesi pennirkaaga ennidam kural uyarthigiraaiyaa?"

(Are you raising your voice at me for this insolent woman?)

More gasps followed,

"Amma, Chithi"

(Mom, aunt)

From the princes and Anbazhagi.

"Munnaal arasi, ivvaaru pesuvadhu migavum thavaraagum. Adhuvum anaivaradhu munaal"

(Former queen, it was very inappropriate to speak like this, especially in front of everyone.)

Kayarkodi stepped forward to Seervizhi, who stood there, staring at the scene with no tears left after everything that had happened today.

"Vaa vaa. ival amaitha pen dhaane nee?"

(Yeah, come come. You are the one who was appointed by this woman, right?)

Yezhisai smirked at Kayarkodi, seeing her from top to toe in a same disgust.

"Yaar amaithirundhaalum, thaangal pesuvadhu thaavaru dhaan munnaal arasi."

(Whoever might be appointed, it is still a mistake for you to speak like this, Former queen.)

Said by one of the male guards.

"Oruvarai kooda vittu vaikavillaiyaa nee?"

(You didn't leave even a single person?)

Yezhisai asked Seervizhi, but she stared back with an emotionless expression.

But the others became completely enraged with her.

"Amma podhum niruthungal. Umakkum pen endru naan oruthi irukkiren. Adhanai yosithu pesu"

(Mom, enough. you too have a daughter. think about that and speak.)

Anbazhagi shouted at her mother.

"Ival ellaam pen'eh illai Anbazhagi, ival oru.."

(She is not a woman at all, Anbazhagi. She is a...)

This time, her words were cut off in the middle by Eezhamadhi.

"Akka. Enakke aacharyamaaga ulladhu. Enna nadandhadhu? thaangal ivvaarellaam pesa maateergale?"

(Sister, I'm surprised. What happened? You wouldn't speak like this at all.)

She looked at her, in disbelief.

She knew that Yezhisai didn't like Seervizhi, but she also knew that she wouldn't go to this extent with her words towards any woman.

"Naan paarthadhai, neengal oruvar paarthirundhaalum ingu enna nadandhirukkum endru enakku theriyaadhu. Naanaaga iruppadhaal dhaan verum vaarthaiyaaga pesugiren."

(If any of you had seen what I saw, you would not know what to do here. It's only because it's me that I'm merely speaking words.)

Yezhisai said while looking at them all.

"Thangalai pola veru yaaraalum pesa mudiyaadhu."

(No one else can speak like you.)

A whispered voice was heard, and everyone turned towards the little girl, Sennila, who stood between Kayarkodi and Seervizhi.

Yezhisai glared at her.

"Enna sonnaai nee?"

(What did you say?)

Yezhisai roared at Sennila but she stood there unaffected.

"Naan enna sonnen? naan ondrum koora villai. pali koora vendum endru dhaane aarambitheergal? Pin naan yaar thangalai thaduppadharku?"

(What did I say? I didn't say anything. you were the one started this just because you need someone to blame. Then, who's me to stop you?)

Sennila asked Yezhisai boldly.

The princes smiled at her bravery, except for Adhivishman, who rolled his eyes at her words.

"Tharperumai kondaval"

(She thinks that she is the topmost.)

He twisted his lips but smirked when Sennila glared at him, catching his lip movement.

But, soon, Sennila averted her gaze from him and held it strong and boldly towards Yezhisai.

"Akka avalai vidungal. Ippodhu ingu enna aanadhu endru koorungal."

(Sister. Leave her. Just tell us, what happened here now?)

Eezhamadhi asked her, throwing her glare towards Sennila.

"Naan adhanai yevvaaru en vaaiyaal kooruven Eezhamadhi. naanam ketta pen, naadu kedukkum endra palamozhikku ivale udhaaranam aavaal."

(How can I say that, Eezhamadhi? She is the perfect example of the proverb, 'A woman who lacks shame will ruin the country.')

Those who knew the exact meaning of the proverb gasped in shock.

"Amma. Podhum amma, naan ini vedikkai paarthu kondu irukka maaten. Thangalin pidhatralai niruthi vittu ungal araiku sellungal."

(Mom. Enough, mom, I will not stand by and watch any longer. Stop your words and go to your room.)

Avanindhan yelled at her grabbing her elbow.

"Naan ini unnudan dhaan irukka pogiren Avanindhaa, ivalai nambi oru aanmagan ingu nadamaada mudiyaadhu polum. Eezhamadhi, un pillaiyaiyum gavanamaaga paarthu kol."

(I am going to stay with you from now on, Avanindhaa. No man can manage here by trusting her. Eezhamadhi, take care of your son closely.)

"Munnaal arasi, idhu thavaraagum. Arasi aaga pogiravarai ivvaaru pesuvadhu migavum thavaru."

(Former queen, this is wrong. It is a grave mistake to speak this way about someone who is going to be the queen.)

One of the guards remarked.

"Yaar? Yaar ival arasi aah? Yaarukkum theriyaamal thakka samayam paarthu en maganidam valukattaaiyaama anyoniyathil eedu pada ninaitha ival arasi aah?"

(Who? Who? is she our queen? she is the one who wanted to get close to my son forcefully, at the right moment and without anyone knowing? and you all want to make her as a queen?)

She roared.

Avanindhan, overwhelmed with shame, released his hold on his mother.

Seervizhi stumbled back and fell to the floor, her legs bent to the side.

Sennila held her chin, but Seervizhi's gaze remained fixed on the floor, feeling utterly helpless.

A tear fell from her eyes.

"Amma"

(Mom)

Avanindhan and others gazed at her in utter shock.

"Akka. Enna koorugireergal?"

(Sister. What are you saying?)

Eezhamadhi asked her.

"Enadhu iru kangalaal adhanai kanden Eezhamadhi. Naan yeppodhaadhu idhu pola pesi ullenaa? paarthadhaal dhaan pesugiren. Ennai nambungal. Enadhu maganirkaaga dhaan pesugiren."

(I saw it with my own eyes, Eezhamadhi. Have I ever spoken like this before? I am speaking now only because I have seen it. Believe me. I am speaking for the sake of my son)

Her eyes brimmed with tears.

"Chiti podhum. Sathiyamaaga koorugiren anni avvaaru seidhirukka maataar."

(Aunt, enough. I am speaking truthfully; she would not do such things.)

Abhinjalan too voiced out for the first time.

"Oruvarai purindhu kollaamal thaangal anaivarum dhaan pidhatri kondirukireergal. Ival oru vesi pen"

(Without understanding her, all of you spoke highly of her. She is an insolent woman.)

Seervizhi closed her eyes, breathing heavily between her intense hiccups.

"Amma avarai naan.."

(Mom, I just..)

"Engey ivalai solla sollungal, avalin kai viral kooda en magan meedhu pattadhey illai endru."

(Ask her to tell me that not even a finger of her hand has touched my son.)

They all stared at Seervizhi, waiting for her response, but she continued to cry, unable to answer the question.

Yezhisai had twisted everything to fit her own perspective.

"Solla maataal. Vaaiyai kooda thirakka maataal. Yen'endraal aval thooya matraval."

(She will not speak. She won't even open her mouth. Because she is an shameless woman.)

Sennila glared at her fiercely, but Kayarkodi intervened, gripping her shoulder to prevent her from speaking out.

"Naan kooda indru kaetten munnaal arasi, mootha ilavarasar'idam ivar kaama sutra pusthagam kettu kondirundhaar."

(I also heard, former queen, that she asked the Kama Sutra book from our head prince.)

The woman guard, who was assigned to stand near the couple's chamber, said.

Yezhisai smirked.

"Paartheergalaa? idhu dhaan indha pennin unmai mugam. Nangu paarthukollungal, ungaladhu pudhiya mootha ilavarasiyai. Thangalin ves.."

(See? This is the true face of this woman. Look closely, she is the new head princess of our family. Your shame...)

But she stopped mid-sentence upon hearing the booming voice of her own son, Avanindhan.

"Indha arasar kulathin, irandaavadhu vaarisaana Avanindhan koorgiren, anaivarum ingirundhu sellungal, udanadiyaaga. Oruvarum en kanmun nirka koodaadhu. Meeri nindraal avargalukku dhandanai kuraivaaga irukkaadhu"

(To this royal family, I, Avanindhan, the rightful second heir, declare that everyone present here must leave immediately. No one should stand in front of me. If anyone dares to defy, they will face severe punishment.)

The guards quickly scattered, their fear of severe punishment driving them to retreat hastily.

"Ivvalavu kodumai puribavaraa chithi thaangal?"

(Is this how you behave with such cruelty, aunt?)

Anilamudhan questioned with astonishment.

"Anilamudhaa, Adhi'udan ingirundhu sel."

(Leave from here with Adhi, Anilamudhaa)

Anilamudhan went with Adhi, respecting Avanindhan's words.

"Naan idhanai ungalidam irundhu yedhir paarkave illai amma."

Anbazhagi, wiping away the tears that streamed down her face, felt deeply ashamed of having such a mother and retreated to her room.

Abhinjan shook his head in disappointment and left with Eezhamadhi.

Avanindhan stormed into his chamber, consumed by anger. He felt helpless and ashamed for not being able to defend his sister-in-law adequately.

Despite her being younger than him, he had always treated her with the respect, feeling a motherly affection. The cruel words his mother had spoken, laced with a wrong meaning about his sister-in-law, filled him with sorrow, and he wept over the situation.

Kayarkodi went to fetch some water to help alleviate Seervizhi's hiccups.

Sennila observed the scene and knelt down beside Seervizhi.

"Akka"

Sennila gently cupped Seervizhi's chin and turned her face towards her.

"Alaadheergal. Arasar vandhu andha kilaviyai paarthu kolvaar."

(Don't be upset. The king will come and deal with that old lady)

Seervizhi, upon hearing Sennila mention her husband, broke down into heavy sobs. She clung to Sennila, burying her face in her chest and crying uncontrollably. Sennila held her close, gently stroking her hair and cheeks while whispering soothing words to comfort her.

"Thangalin meedhu thavarillaamal, thaangal kanneer vadippaadhu, yen akka? Thavaru purindhavarku nichiyam dhandanai kidaikum. Thaangal kavalai kollaadheergal."

(Why are you crying, sister? You didn't do anything wrong. Those who commit mistakes will surely be punished. You don't need to worry.)

Kayarkodi rushed to Seervizhi, helping her sip some water. Adhi, who peeked out of his room, smiled upon seeing them and then closed the door.

Seervizhi stood up from the floor, and with a weak push against Kayarkodi and Sennila's supportive holds, she moved into her chamber like a lifeless soul.

Sennila and Kayarkodi watched her with disbelief, struggling to process the scene.

"Akka yedhaenum andha kilaviyai yedhirthu pesi irukka vendum amma."

(Sister should have spoke up against that old lady, mom)

Kayarkodi smiled at her daughter, feeling a sense of pride for her maturity.

"Aval unnai vida siru kuzhandhai, Sennila. Pin nee arasar idam ingu nadandha vatrai kooraadhey"

(She is just a child compared to you, Sennila. And you shouldn't say anything that happened here to our prince.)

Sennila gasped, widening her eyes.

"Yen? yen naan koora koodaadhu?"

(why? why shouldnt I tell?)

"Ingu naam verum pani aatkal dhaan Sennila adhanai marandhu vidaadhey."

(We are just maids here, Sennila. Don't forget that.)

Sennila gazed at Seervizhi's chamber, but Kayarkodi gently lifted her and carried her into their own room.

The following morning,

Anushman entered their dimly lit chamber, searching for her amidst the shadows.

"Vizhi"

He drew back the curtains with a broad smile, only to frown when he saw that she was not in bed. Noticing a silhouette against the white curtain, he tilted his head to get a better view. There she was, sitting on the window sill with her knees drawn up and her head resting against the wall behind her, gazing out.

He smiled warmly, walked over to her, and sat down opposite her.

"Vizhi. Ingu enna seigiraai."

(Vizhi. What are you doing here?)

He gently placed his palm on her feet, but she instinctively drew them back, hiding them beneath her flowing skirt.

"Vizhi"

He placed the book he had bought for her after searching throughout the dynasty beside them, then gently rested his palm on top of hers, which was resting on her knees.

"Enna aanadhu Vizhi?"

(What happened to my Vizhi?)

She simply extended her hand outside the window, gesturing towards something.

He furrowed his brow, glancing from the lush greenery outside, then to her, puzzled.

"Angu enna?"

(What's there?)

He asked.

"En appa"

(My father)

She replied.

"Haan?"

She glanced at him, her lips trembling, and then she began to cry, making him get startled.

"En..en.. appa'vi..vidam sella vendum.. naan selgiren ennai vittu vidungal."

(I have to go to my father. I'm going. Let me go, please)

She pleaded with him, her voice trembling, which made his breath catch and his heart falter.

"Seervizhi"

His lips whispered her name, his gaze fixed on her with heavy, troubled eyes.

"Enakku en appa vendum. Naan selgiren. En naatirku selgiren. Dhayavu seidhu ennai vittu vidungal.."

(I need to go to my father. I'm going. I want to go back to my homeland. Please, let me go..)

He stopped her as she began to clasp her hands together and pulled her into his chest.

She stretched her legs away from him, clutched his shirt tightly, and cried out loudly, causing him to tremble and clench his fists. He gently stroked her back and hair, slowly rocking her until she eventually fell asleep.

Carefully lifting her off the slab, he placed her on the bed, tenderly brushed the hair from her forehead, wiped away her tears, and kissed her forehead and cheeks before covering her with a duvet.

As he remained engrossed in gazing at her and replaying her words in his mind, he turned his gaze when he heard a throat-clearing sound. He glanced past the bedpost and saw Sennila standing there.

"Thangalidam pesa vendum, ilavarasarae"

(I want to speak with you, Prince.)

She said with a straight face.

He frowned and stood up from the bed but stopped when he felt a hold on his pinky finger. He turned to look at Seervizhi, and she mumbled,

"Appa"

His eyes brimmed with tears.

"Appa'vidam alaithu selgiren. Ippodhu ivvaaru un vaarthaigalaal ennai dhandikkaamal urangu Vizhi."

(I'll take you to your father. For now, just sleep peacefully and don't punish me with your words.)

He kissed her forehead, gently loosened her grip on his finger, and walked over to Sennila. He lifted her onto the stool beside the bed and then sat on the opposite side of Seervizhi.

"Enna nadandhadhu?"

(What happened?)

He asked Sennila.

"Yengu sendreergal thaangal? kuzhandhaiyai pola manaviyai vaithu kondu, ippadi indha muradargal irukkum idathil thaniyaaga vittu sendrulleergaley? thangalukke idhu nyaayamaaga ulladhaa?"

(Where have you gone? You have left your wife like a child, alone with these hatred people? Is this fair to you?)

He thinned his brows.

"Muradargalaa? yaarai koorigiraai?"

(Hatred people? Who are you talking about?)

He asked her.

"Adhu thangalukku theriyum, tharpodhu naan solvadhai gavanamaaga kelungal."

(You know who I am talking about. Please listen carefully to what I say.)

After she finished narrating the events, his face was etched with rage and pain. His fists clenched at his sides, his breathing heavy with anger.

"Ingu paarungal, en amma ungalidam idhanai koora vendaam ena koorinaar, meeriyum naan en akka'virkaaga dhaan koorinen. Meendum yedhaenum nadandhadhu.. naan thangalai dhaan kelvi ketpen."

(Look here, my mother said not to say this to you, because we are just a maids here, but I spoke out for my sister. If something else happens, I will ask you directly.)

"Naanum anna"

(Me too, brother)

They turned to find Adhivishman.

He entered, stood in front of Anushman and beside Sennila.

"Anni migavum paavam anna"

(Brother, I feel really sad for my sister-in-law)

Adhi said to his brother.

"Ini avarai thaniye vittu yengum sellaadheergal."

(From now on, don't leave her alone anywhere.)

Both said in unison and turned to look at each other, glaring.

Anushman, however, approached the sleeping Seervizhi, gently shook her to wake her up.

"Seervizhi. Seervizhi. Seervizhi elindhiru"

(Wake up)

She woke up startled, her eyes widening as she took in his furious expression.

He grabbed her elbow, causing her to wince, and he noticed the red fingerprints on her skin. His anger flared.

Without a word, he dragged her out of their chamber swiftly.

Adhi and Sennila hurried after them with a wide smile.

"Anaivarum veliye vaarungal, idhu mootha ilavarasan Anushman'in aanai aagum"

(Everyone, step outside. This is the order of the eldest prince, Anushman.)

He roared while standing in the same spot where Seervizhi had cried the previous night surrounded by everyone who had blamed her.
