Taking my whip and striking Maxwell across his face, I saw his skin tear opened, causing blood to spill down his face.

Touching his face, he screamed at me,

"What is the meaning of this Kellen?"

"That is Prince to you", my guard growled at him,

"Learn to have respect before I teach you a lesson", my guard hissed at him

That strike was for showing me your ridiculous contract, I said, before striking him with my whip again, this time on his shoulder. "This strike is for inviting me to your house when you had bad intentions",

"This was for running a brothel in your home",

"That was for letting your men put their filthy hands on my wife"

"That was for even thinking that my wife was a hoe"

"That is for trying to make her one!"

Over and over again, I struck  him with my whip, leaving him unconscious and deeply wounded when I was done.

Nodding at my female guard to proceed, I stepped out of the cell and went back into the palace drenched in blood.

Taking the back entrance to go in, I went straight to my room.

Almost at my room, Rayne's room door opened and she stepped out, looking straight at me.

Placing her hand to her nose, she ran straight to the bathroom sink  in our room before bringing up all the contents in her stomach.

Going to her, I asked if she was OK but she asked me to go and bath first before coming by her.

Quickly undressing, I stepped under the hot shower and washed myself off, then got out.

Wiping myself off, I wrapped my towel around my waist before going to Rayne, who was still hunched over the sink.

Pulling her hair off her face, I took a hairband and tied Rayne's hair back.

Rubbing her back a little and seeing that she finally managed to calm her nausea down, she asked,

"What happened to your clothes and whose blood is it"

"Rayne, that isn't important right now, I think you should be in bed  because you don't look well at all",I reponded

"Kellen how can I go to bed and be calm, when you just came back covered in blood, please just tell me whose blood is it.... , please?", she pleaded

"Babe, all I can tell you is that I will never let anyone get away with trying to harm you again, you are mine and I will always protect what is mine, especially you, so please don't ask anymore than that?", I told her

Nodding her head, Rayne held her stomach and went out the bathroom and straight on our bed, instead of the spare bedroom she occupied earlier.

Not saying anything to her, I slipped in next to her as she slept, pulling her closer to me, I soon fell off to sleep with her wrapped in my arms.

Waking up the next morning, I noticed that Rayne was not next to me.

Getting out of bed, I went in search of her. After finding out from my guard, that she was sitting in the garden, I made my way to her.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that she didn't look well at all. Sitting in a chair opposite her, I bent forward and made her get up and come and sit on my lap.

Putting her hands around my neck, she tucked her head against my shoulder. Like that she stayed for a few minutes before I could feel her tears running down my shoulder.

"Babe, what's wrong?", I asked as I took her face in my hands, swiping her tears away

"I saw them Kellen, I saw what you did to Maxwell and the others", she whispered

"Rayne, I had to do it, for what they tried to do to you and we don't know how many other females as well. I can never forgive anyone trying to harm you, ever, now please stop crying, I won't allow anyone to harm you again, I promise my love", I told her

Tucking her face back into my neck, she held onto me. We stayed like that for a long time, before she got up and said she needs to go and get ready for classes.

Nodding at her, she walked inside.

I decided to go to the dungeon to see my prisoners to get some answers from them.

Stepping into the dungeon, I could smell the dried up blood already.

Walking towards Maxwell's cell, I asked the guard to open up for me.

As he did, I stepped inside and saw Maxwell still fast asleep.

Kicking his leg to get him up, he got up in a daze.

Watching him carefully for a few seconds, I asked

"Are you ready to talk now because I need answers?"

"What do you want to know?", he replied

"Starting off, I want to know who you are working for because I know for a fact that you don't run this operation going on, you are just apart of it, doing the dirty work for someone else, so tell me everything now?", I yelled at Maxwell

"Kellen, I am the one who runs this operation, there is no other boss because I am the boss", Maxwell said

Turning to the next cell, I nodded at my female guard, who picked up her whip and lashed it at Amanda, causing her loud scream to pierce through the silence.

Looking at Maxwell, he smirked at me before saying "Do you think inflicting pain on her would get me to talk? Hell No, I don't give a damn about the bitch! Do whatever you want to her, it won't get me to talk!", Maxwell screamed

"What, what do you mean Maxwell?", Amanda cried

"I mean you have always been a means to getting my wealth, now that I have it, they can kill you, I don't give a fuck!", Maxwell yelled at his wife as she burst out crying even more

Not wanting to get involved in their conflict, I asked my guard to open up the cell, to go out.

Turning back to look at Maxwell, I told him that I will be back later to deal with him, so it might be wise for him to start talking when I return.

With having said that, I turned and walked out, remembering I still have a wife that I need to get to classes.

Entering the palace, I made my way upstairs to my room to find Rayne.

Looking inside, I didn't find her, so I went to the bathroom to see if she was there but she wasn't.

As I stepped out of my room, I saw Bianca walking past, so I asked her if she had seen Rayne.

"Your Highness, I saw her leaving to go to college about 15 minutes ago.", Bianca said

"Oh ok then, so she went by herself, no problem, thanks Bianca....", I said lost in thought

Walking to my office, I decided to go and make some phone calls for information about Maxwell.

Cutting the call after finding out what I needed to know, I heard a knock on my door.

" Come in", I called out

As the door opened, my security guard at Maxwell's cell stuck his head in. "Sir, the lady in the dungeon would like to have a word with you", he said

Getting up from my chair, I told him, I would be on my way there now, I just needed to make one more call.

Bowing to me, he closed the door behind him as he left to go back.

Picking up my phone, I decided to call Dario's father for a chat but there was no answer.

Cutting the call, I decided to go to the dungeon to hear what Amanda wanted, well actually to confirm what I found out just minutes ago.

Walking downstairs, the door opened, revealing Everly, who ran to me, for a hug.

Pulling back from the hug, she asked me if I had time now to chat about what really happened regarding her accident.

"Eve, I can't speak to you right now please. Can we speak abit later, I have something important to deal with right now.", I asked.

Having said that, I turned and ran away to the dungeon.

Reaching the dungeon, I heard a gunshot go off before I could even enter, throwing me of balance.

Getting up, I ran inside as fast as I could and saw my guards staring at the scene there.

Going nearer, I saw Maxwell with a gun in his hand and his wife laying dead in the corner of her cell.

Within no time, Maxwell turned his gun to my side and pulled the trigger before my guards got to him, to pull the gun away. Expecting the gunshot to pierce through my skin, I felt nothing.

Looking in front of me, I saw my bodyguard and loyal friend fall to the ground with a gunshot to his shoulder.

Bending down to check on him and screaming to call an ambulance, I saw my friend's eyes close.
